The A/C in the room was damaged and caught on fire while we were sleeping. The alarm went off, and you had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. The room that they moved us into was hotter than a sauna. The thermostat was not working; we had only two choices: full heat blast or no heat at all. We turned the heat off, but by the morning was already cold. Simply put, we had a sleepless night and even no apology from the resort

We were staying here for the three nights before Christmas this year and we had an amazing time so convenient for having a lodging with skiing. Also, the restaurant very good. The room was very spacious and very clean. Service good as well. Definitely we will come back and we highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay here. Staff was great everywhere on the grounds. Food & service was good, a little on the higher price said. We did have the majority of our meals there as the drive to town isn't the closest. The slopes were well groomed. My son and I spent the entire day on them. The rooms were decent and clean. We are planning to return next year for more skiing fun.

A friend of mine went there to enjoy Galena's Illumination of the city. We spent our off time at the resort and as a resort I really thought it would have WiFi TV. But this was not the case, very disappointed.

Jesse in the restraunt was awesome. He waited on us Friday dinner, Saturday night and had a quick conversation Sunday morning at breakfast. Very attentive, friendly and all around nice guy.
Hotel needs a elevator as carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs sucks! Hotel rooms and hotel itself needs to be upgraded to the 2000's.
2nd time we stayed here and probably will be back but will request room on 2nd floor over looking the ski slopes.

Nice comfortable stay. The pool was warm and very relaxing; the hot tub and sauna both worked fine. Although not complimentary, the breakfast at the Summit Restaurant was excellent. Beautiful views of the Mississippi River from the west balcony of the hotel. Very nice! Will stay again.

The first room they gave us had literally TWELVE flies on the small window in the room. So they moved us down a couple rooms. There weren’t any flies on the window when we got in there but we had to kill no less than TEN bugs throughout the short time we were in the room for the two nights we were there. There’s no elevator, so getting your bags to your room is a pain. There’s no housekeeping unless you ask. It’s not the price of Motel6, you’d think they’d reinvest some of the profit into upkeep of the property. Would not recommend and will not be back.

This hotel is in a wonderful location and the veiws are amazing. Everyone at this resort were very polite, from the people at the desk, the maintence man, and the restaurant staff. We had a few minor issues that were easily and quickly resolved during our stay. Please note that this place does not have an elevator, and does have steps to the rooms. I would highly reccommend this hotel to others, but I would suggest taking out a few steps and putting up a ramp for better access, or even an elevator. Thank you for your hospitality during our stay!!

We were lucky enough to get in to stay there during Oktoberfest in Galena. We got two rooms which I am sure were the last two available so they were not that big and did not have a view of the river and had small bathrooms. We had a good time there though. Enjoyed hiking around the trails in the area. Also took a ride on the alpine slide down to the river to ride the boat and rode the chair lift back up. Also played mini golf. Enjoyed the view of the river at breakfast.

The hotel room was updated and clean. The bathroom was old but very clean. The hallway leading to the indoor pool was unacceptable. I understand if they aren't using the rooms down that hall anymore, but the carpetinf was filthy and coming up in spots and the hall needed paint. Luckily, the pool was clean and a nice temperature. The activities on property were very well run and the outside of the property was well kept and decorated. Some updates to the interior would make this an excellent hotel.

When we were in our original room (322), we had wasps on the window on the inside of the room which was a real downer so I requested a new room and we got moved to Room 329 which was a lot better.

The beds could've been better but the overall stay was a 3.5/5 star.

First trip to Galena end of September. Didn’t realize that the hotel was a bit further out from the main downtown restaurants and shops. Overall a good experience, hotels is a bit dated in some areas but some of the rooms are a bit updated. No elevator in the hotel and WiFi and phone service were a bit shotty. Beautifully decorated for fall. Great views, lots to do at the hotel. We did the Alpine slide and soaring eagle

No elevator have to carry luggage upstairs . Carpet through out resort is disgustingly filthy . Hallways smell of nasty carpet ! Coffee in lobby horrible . Bed had no fitted sheet had a flat sheet talked in exposing a worn out. Disgusting mattress pad . Sink was very low for like a small child along with the toilet just not a very pleasant day. Employees were fine and working hard, but obviously the place was in a shambles and nothing they can do to fix it even though they were cleaning best, they could all dirt on top of older dirt . If you plan on commuting from town back to resort at night, it’s a very dangerous dark winding road beware.

We went in August. The alpine slide, zipline, mountain biking are all right outside the property. We bought the tickets at the property itself (not upfront online). There wasn’t much difference between the onsite price and the online price. Monday through Thursday, they have an unlimited alpine slide pass, which would be nice to get if you are there during those days of the week.

I know some people have commented that this property “badly needs renovation”. I don’t necessarily agree with that. Yes, the walls and the hallway carpets are of old design (shades of dark brown), but except for one small area of the stairs, I did not notice any worn out carpets or walls.

There is no elevator in the property. This was not a problem for us, but could be a problem for some. But the stairs are easy to climb, though.

There is a Tesla destination charger on site, which was very helpful for us.

Property was in much need of updating! Everything smells OLD. We stayed in the “premium” room. Aside from the nice view of the river, the room was very basic. Very small television that offered no channels at all. Luckily, I travel with my FireStick to help entertain my kid. The breakfast is overpriced for what you receive. Staff was friendly and polite!

This is a great property. Although this stay was only for one night to celebrate our sons birthday, it offered a great location to access amenities that we love in Galena, while also offering wonderful on site activities for us to fill up our day of celebrating with. They have a lot of summer activities on the property which make for a great getaway. Close to Galena as well for shopping, history, and restaurants.

The only two issues with the property are that it is a little old and has some wear in areas, but really not a big deal. The major issue my wife and I had were the comfort of the beds and pillows though, we just couldn't really get a good nights sleep.

We won't be returning because of that, but I think it's kind of a subjective thing and others may not have that experience.

The place was a bit dated, carpets were a bit rough, but if you’re not super picky and just looking for a great place to take your family or significant other to spend quality time this is a great spot. Pool is deep and indoors which is great. The outdoor slide 100% is as fun as it looks. Gf and I enjoyed the Eagle ride too. Our upgraded room was spacious. I wish I knew about the $150 or so hold that the hotel puts on your card at check in, but I do like that they let you credit it toward their restaurants and other services they offer.

The dinner restaurant on premise is overpriced in my opinion, breakfast and lunch are priced well through. Keep in mind for all of this that we went during the summer and the resort is aimed for winter guests I’m assuming.

It was a relaxing and charming place for the entire family. They are operational all year round.Their restaurant offered delicious foods and overlooking an awesome view of the Mississippi River. Their staffs are friendly and accommodating. Though they don’t have elevators, it’s not too bad coz their stairs are short and easy to climb. They have a decent-sized pool with dry sauna and hot tub. A great relaxation spot indeed! Outside they have a great scenery for walking, mini Golf course. And for adventure seekers,Skiing (winter Season), the Ski Lift, Alpine Slide and the Soaring Eagle zipline.
