Stayed for 4 nights for a conference. The staff were helpful and freindly. Onsite bar and restaurant was convininent. Live music keep you entertained.
They provided a free shuttle for the airport and every hour drop off and pick up downtown. The drivers( Tim and Kevin) , valet, bar staff and receptionosts- all lovely.
Special shout out to Matthew and Felipe at the bar. Thye made me a mean dirty martini.

Beautiful property fronting Whitefish Lake. Grounds were well kept with lots of flowers planted and in hanging baskets. Rooms were spacious with lots of amenities. Free cocktails of huckleberry syrup and sparkling water are offered at 5pm and free s’mores from 6-8! Food both in the bar and tiki bar was great! Beautiful pools annd hot tubs inside and outside. Beautiful exercise room also. Restaurant was full - we could not get reservations.

The lodge is located at a very serene and beautiful location. Its close to many restaurents and dining options with 2-3 mile distance.

Onsite restaurant and Tiki bar are good options to relax in the evening. Like with many places in Whitefish both of these places are bit pricey for the food / cocktails they serve, but the quality is very good. It has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools / jacuzzis.

Staff were very helpful and super friendly. If you want a scenic location away from the town and want to pay some premium this is certainly the place.

This property is split across the road away from lake front and connected by enclosed walk way that connects the lake front building with the other part. So one big surprise / disappointment for me was that, this split was not obvious when I made the reservation and I got a rom in annex building.

Even if I didn't want ( to pay for) the lake view room, I would have preferred to stay in the main building , not the \"annex\" which is surrounded by the woods, which doesn't have the same feel as the rooms /building on lake facing building. Except for this mismatched expectations for the premium I thought I paid to book a room in this property, it was a great place.

The pictures listed in hotel listing DOES NOT make this split nature of the property very clear. So Just be aware of this layout of this hotel and book on the correct side of the property.

The resort is very nice, and the rooms are well appointed. I struggled with the friendliness of the staff and the bar/restaurant in general. The food was good but given this is the hospitality industry I expected the staff to be more welcoming. The entertainment on Friday evening was too loud for the room and was not my taste in music. Think Tori Amos...very loud.

Scott made a fantastic first impression during check-in he was welcoming, friendly, and set a great tone for our stay. The property itself is nice and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the room did not quite live up to expectations. It felt outdated, and its location on the first floor right next to the sky bridge made for a less-than-relaxing experience. We were woken up multiple times throughout the night by guests talking loudly, walking heavily, and repeatedly opening and slamming the sky bridge door just outside our room. Privacy was also an issue. Being on the ground floor meant guests were constantly walking right past our window. While there are curtains, adding sheer curtains would really help balance natural light with a bit more privacy. The soaking tub was another disappointment, as it was quite small more suitable for a child than for an adult looking to unwind. Room service breakfast from the Boat Club restaurant was also underwhelming. It arrived about an hour later and was cold. The biscuits were extremely hard, and the “home fries” appeared overcooked to the point of being inedible. For $68, it was a frustrating experience. That said, lunch at the restaurant was a highlight. Dining in person made a big difference the steak sandwich and fish tacos were both excellent and showed what the kitchen is capable of at its best. Overall, while there were a few bright spots, the noise, lack of privacy, and inconsistent food quality made this stay disappointing.

We are 15+ year returning guests to the Lodge. We come back for many reasons, Hotel location, entertainment, room, amenities,hot tub sauna, shuttle to downtown. Customer experience training needed for p/t parking security/driver. Yelling at guests and aggressively accusing of not being a guest in the lot was not in line with this 4* hotel, all while parking the car and walking to the hotel side door. This incident proved no customer training at any level was provided to the staff who thought he needed to “police” people parking in the guest only lot and be confrontational. Hotel was advised and a of bottle of inexpensive sweet sparkling wine was sent to our room even after declining the offer - not needed. What matters is training your staff with a baseline of customer experience necessary to treat guests with courtesy and respect instead of guilty people looking for free parking. Champagne is to celebrate and this occasion didn’t warrant it, especially $10 sparkly wine. There are other ways to resolve these types of issues and it’s needed from management not just employees.

The staff was amazing, especially all the shuttle drivers. The super large hot tub was awesome. Love the fact that it was open until late. The saunas and the concierge that reserved them for us were the best. She even brought Towels and water out there for us. Expedia made it so easy to book and check in. We soso loved the smores and free nightly refresher drinks.

RJ at the counter was the best worker. Always helpful. The shuttle was good fireplaces really big nice in the cold. The guys opening doors were alway curtious. There should be coffee longer at least until 9. House cleaning was very good as maintenance unplugged bathroom sink in a very timely manor. There needs to be no jumping off the rocks, so kids don’t get paralyzed. Take it out, very dangerous. Some parents really just don’t care ,obviously .

I gave an overall 4 star only due to the jacuzzi in the Viking lodge being out of order. That was something my wife was looking forward to. Although the main lodge outdoor jacuzzi was working it was a bit of a walk to get there. Lodge was clean and comfortable and staff were very good. We are definitely coming back.

The staff is amazing from the moment you arrive Everett greets you and goes above and beyond to answer any questions we had. The lobby is beautiful as is the entire hotel. Fireplaces are everywhere, including the rooms. We had a problem with the tv and Nick was there in a minute to pull the tv down and get things back up and running. The Boat House restaurant and bar was top notch, Reed was awesome and had the best drink recommendations. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and everyone and everything was really fantastic! We can not say enough about our 2 night stay. We are going back very soon!

I loved staying here for my friends wedding! We are outdoorsy people but we did have quite a few critters in our room on arrival. Our bathroom had several spiders in it. No big deal to us we just put them outside, but just an FYI. I know we are in a woodsy area so I understand. Otherwise the property was overall clean and so welcoming. The staff was SUPERB and I loved the hot tub. The wedding there was amazing as well. So beautiful and all of the catering staff was top notch. They need a raise! Thanks so much for the best time

Overall, I loved my stay at the Lodge. I would definitely stay again. The only suggestion I have is for the complimentary in-room water, coffee, and creamers, sugar packets, etc to be restocked without having to repeatedly request these items at the front desk (where they had bottled waters stocked for those who asked). Not sure why Housekeeping didn’t provide these items as part of their daily service

What we thought was going to be a pretty lakeside hotel turned out to be a room across a bridgeway next to a noisy road overlooking a parking lot. Way overpriced for what it was. They actually had the audacity to charge you $55/ hour to use a beat up old kayak while charging $600 for a lousy room. Overcrowded pool and hot tub and no good access to use the lake. Actually had to go to the city beach. Dining facilities way overpriced and average quality. The pool and hot tub in the \" roadside \" facility wasn't working despite it being a high occupancy weekend. There was terrible ventilation in the below average exercise facility. Overall incredibly disappointing and couldn't wait to leave. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
