Our room was on the warm side. Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit was so incredibly loud that we were unable to keep it on. Having it running meant being unable to hear the television and so much noise that we couldn’t sleep.
Otherwise our room was generally okay. It’s an expensive place—far more costly than the quality of the room warrants.

Older facility. Over-priced for age and condition. Floor had not been cleaned in quite some time - we spilled water and cleaned it up - the rag was black. Floors should be cleaned regularly, not necessarily after each guest, but often enough that bare feet or socks do not end up black

We stayed at the Chalet Motel for 3 nights at the end of May 2024. Overall, we found the room clean, comfortable, and equipped with important amenities such as microwave, fridge, and a larger coffee pot with real ground coffee. The disappointment for us was the substandard TV and WiFi service. The smart TV relies on WiFi streaming and a remote that was foreign to us, unlike the majority of motels we've stayed in. Similarly, my laptop was mainly useless because of the weak WiFi signal. I would normally rate this motel 4.5/5, but the weak Internet service downgrades it to 3.5/5.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location was convenient and easy to get to. I had no issue with either check in or check out - everything was handled with texting. The room was surprisingly fun and well furnished, and had a home-like feel to it - old fashioned comfort. Everything was clean and functional. Got kicked out b/c the door on 45 would not lock!
We were checked in and went to our room (45). The door was already open, I didn’t think anything about it. We finally got all our stuff up to the second floor and I went to shut the door but it would not latch. It was obvious the latch and striker plate were not aligned.
I went to the office and was informed I didn’t know what I was talking about. The lady (Eva, I think) went to the room and said a loose screw was the problem. I said I thought it was more than just a loose screw. It was the only lock, the dead bolt had been removed.
I offered to attempt to fix it if she could get a screwdriver. She declined my offer. She made me feel belittled and talked down to. When she raised her voice talking to me I knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere, then I said I couldn’t leave my property in a room that didn’t lock. She said, “fine I’ll give you a refund”. I objected to the refund because I had trouble finding this room ten days earlier.
To make this long story shorter, she kicked two 78 year olds to the curb at 6pm.
I would not recommend this place to anyone,

It's obvious this lovely motel is well tended and cared for. It has a nice chalet vibe. There are flowers everywhere, table and chairs outside each room and picnic tables on the grounds as well. Check in was easy. The rooms are nice size, beds comfortable, the fridge is large enough for an extended stay. There are even pretty Japanese robes in the closet area.

Covid brought new owners and she is wonderful and full of exciting ideas for the place and the rooms - which she is remodeling nicely.
This trip was not the best - we arrived in our rooms and began killing ants - after about 30 we thought we should call that in to the owner. She is a hands on owner .
She offered to spray or to move us . We chose to move.
The ants were living in the wall and were there because of the food that was behind the bed. Owner was autopsies they had ants in the second floor - then said - it’s Montana there are ants. Not those ants though.
We went to the suite and then the telvison had no sound - after a hour and switching tvs and fumbling the volume came back but no remote.
And this room was not cleaned that well either - with pieces of chicken bone/food under the table, by the garbage …
Other than that it was an ok stay.
I will reconsider my next stay as the $300 a night rate was way to much to pay for the experience!

This cute little Motel was the perfect place to stay for the spontaneous road trip I went on to go see the road to the sun, it was so welcoming and clean and the staff were amazing and so helpful, I’d definitely recommend staying here the next time you go to Whitefish or even just anywhere around the Glacier National Park

I don’t understand all of the glowing reviews of this place. It’s an OK motel that was built 40 years ago. We had some issues with the refrigerator, a window screen that was bent, the AC and the remote didn’t work properly, etc. I would give it a 6.5 to a 7.

Eva and Alejandro go out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are clean, and housekeeping comes daily. There are also personal touches… flowers in a small vase in our room one day, and home baked cookies another. I was expecting a package, and Eva made it her priority to get it safely to me. The grounds are landscaped, and tables - chairs - hammock swings dot the property, for cozy outdoor views. Loved it.

1st room never cleaned… 2nd room questionable if it had been cleaned. If your a smoker this is a great place… butt can right outside every door… you can smoke just right outside your room. Icky bedding and dirty bathroom.. Lucky for me we just had a pandemic and I still had Lysol wipes in my car to clean my room!!

This little motel is tastefully renovated. It is bright and cheery. The rooms are extremely clean and the beds are comfortable. This is about 1km walk into downtown Whitefish but there is sidewalks the whole way and it was nice to get out and stretch our legs. Overall, this was a great find for us at a fraction of the price of other properties in Whitefish.
