No Drawers in the room
Tiles in bathroom need a deep clean
Room was not cleaned on one day of the four day stay

Room needed to be a bit bigger as hard to get around in a wheelchair but not impossible.
Could not get a coffee after 9 30 am or after 7 30 pm from restaurant even though we ate there the first night.
Expected better from an ACCOR / Mercure facility.

Every staff member was so polite and professional. Rooms were very clean. The amenities and the little snacks they left were great. Most of all I loved that they had refillable water jugs and a water fountain on every level. I didn’t realise how much it makes a difference just to have access to a water fountain 24/7.

The front desk staff were shockingly bad. Rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. Simple questions were met with eye rolls, confusion, or outright attitude. It honestly felt like we were inconveniencing them by existing. No explanations, no apologies, no accountability — just excuses, indifference, and an alarming lack of professionalism.
to make matters worse, the hotel has absolutely no active security whatsoever. The combination of no security and a front desk that clearly doesn’t care makes this place feel unsafe and poorly managed.

The bathroom was gross- the shower room was not cleaned with hair from previous guest all over the shower; grime; shower water flowing out of the shower; the toilet seat broken; broken hanger and clothes from previous guest left in closet; huge stained sheets still used even if cleaned. Extremely gross and will not book again. Seems others have raised the same concerns from
other review sites but the hotel does not seem to care as nothing has been done to improve. This is an embarrassment for the Mercure/Accor group and should get the owners to budget more ;
review their KPI.

The rooms were filthy. We checked in, went to our room and noticed the floor was dirty, the stove top and splash-back were filthy, there was left over food, open milk bottles, excessive mould throughout the bathroom. It honesty appeared like the room wasn’t cleaned from the prior tenant. The facilities were also well overdue for maintenance - chunks out of walls and nails sticking out. The kettle had a hole in the base and water leaked over the cord - an extreme hazard. The one plus was the breakfast & breakfast staff - food was great & staff were lovely. Overall, I would never stay at this property again.

There was nothing particularly memorable about this property. It was just one more hotel room. On the plus side, the Accessible Room is well designed, with a very usable shower stall.

We were irritated when the room was not serviced by housekeeping despite our having hung the tag on the door. When we called at 3pm to ask if the room would be serviced we were told that all the housekeepers had gone home. We were given a stack of towels and told that we'd be given a $10 food and beverage credit for our inconvenience. Since this is the same credit offered if we had volunteered for no housekeeping, and we'd declined to volunteer, how is giving us something we'd already declined deemed to be a worthwhile gesture?

Parking was convenient.

The location is nothing special as we ended up driving to everywhere we wanted to go.

First off the staff were ALL really good. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel not so much. Old and worn down, very small. The rooms were small but clean. You enter the hotel via the car park- weird. No one to help you with bags, just do it yourself. Which is fine is a lesser, cheaper hotel. We won’t stay here again, not for the high price. Again though, excellent friendly staff.

The hotel is fine, but it is just a hotel, the pictures of playgrounds, BBQs and ping pong tables in the listing are not part of the property and are all found a walk away from the property in public parklands, something to be aware of if you're booking as a family thinking these are ammenities on site, maintained by the hotel, and exclusive for guest use. When there are a lot of properties across the Sunshine Coast that do offer ammenities like this it made this listing feel a bit deceptive.

Room - black mold all over ceiling in sleeping area. Single bed had suspect marks along side of ensemble possibly mold. No handsoap at the basin. No shampoo in the shower. This place was really good 2 yrs ago. Disgusting complained to staff, unable to offer me another room as she said they were fully booked. I asked to speak to management and she said they wouldn’t do anything more. She took photos of ceiling and said she would report to management. Imagine my surprise at hearing nothing from management today. I phone around 3pm snd was told he the manager had gone home. This is possibly the root cause of the problem. I have requested a full refund; I have photos of black mold on ceiling as well. This is a health risk and I most certainly expected to hear from someone in management.
I am very disappointed and now very angry at spending my hard earn cash in such a filthy and poorly run establishment. To allow their rooms to be let to unsuspecting public is a travesty. I am happy to provide medical papers on the effects of inhaling black mold over 12 hrs.
I spoke to the duty manager this morning on departure, he took notes, told me he could do nothing. Have me the managers email. Just not good enough. Surely this was passed on to the manager after it was reported to two staff.
Do not stay in this establishment!!! I await contact from management

The room appeared not to have been properly cleaned. There was dirt—and what looked to be black mould—in the window sill, there was dust in the bed head, and dirt spots in the toilet floor. Took photos, went to the reception and showed the photos to them. They offered to come upstairs and wipe it clean, but by then I had lost confidence in the property. This is what the dirt I could see, imagine what I couldn’t see. I asked for a refund, which was promptly actioned. I have zero complaints about the reception staff; they were efficient and professional. My issue is with the cleanliness and care of the room. For the rate we pay, the least I expect is a clean room. Especially if that was really black mould, that’s dangerous. Very disappointing.

Because I was going in for surgery, nearby, I was given a time deadline and the staff happily obliged giving me very personal and supportive service. Breakfast was from an a la carte menu with minimal options, albeit pleasant. Eggs were overcooked. Restaurant for dinner was good. Room was comfortable. Staff were very pleasant. Convenient to the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, within walking distance. Parking was undercover.

The only negative for my stay was the size and weight of the room service meal plates. I was on my own at the sunny coast for a neurosurgeon appointment having severe back pain and the weight of the plates individually and especially all together on the tray were far too heavy to lift and manoeuvre. The meals were delicious.

Our room stunk of urine coming from the bathroom, bathroom floor still had wet patches from cleaning but it stunk of urine. Guess someone had a pee in the shower and cleaner didn’t clean it properly. The room also looked dirty as there was a large stain on the carpet and the lounge chair had dirty marks all over it, I went down to reception to tell them but they could not move us as fully booked so they sent someone up with a bucket and mop to clean, which helped with the smell. Tried to turn air conditioning off as it was cold but it was stopping and starting all night causing us to keep waking up due to the noise and made us freeze. We thought if we stayed at a Mercure hotel it would be clean but no. Would not recommend staying here.

I've stayed here before and I knew how appropriate this hotel was for me. Staff 100%. Meal options excellent.

WOTIF? Not so good. Two amounts were taken from my account. You can only contact Wotif by email or chat. Waiting time ok compared to banks and internet providers but the chat itself was disruptive. I had to upload proof of the double dipping to my bank account and the chat upload wouldn't accept the upload despite being around 186k. Very frustrating to the chat agent and myself. Several attempts over 15-20 minutes meant the chat dropped out due to my failed responses.
I phoned Mercure who rightly said they couldn't assist but they only had one booking.
