Was not a good experience. Under new management. Husband and I both got an electric shock from a light switch, an electrician was called and all light switches changed. A blind cover fell down and hit my daughter on the forehead. Carpets were dirty and smelt like mildew. Blinds all broken. Roof top terrace had heaps of unused/stored furniture. Management were apologetic and a full refund was given, such a waste, has awesome potential. Was the worst place we’ve ever stayed in the Sunny Coast.

Our only concerns about the apartment was that there were no tea towels for washing up which would be useful when the expectation is that you wash and dry up your dishes before you depart. There was also no hand soap in the bathrooms.

Unit 118 - The resort facilities and gardens were great and well kept, easy acces to the beach and walking path are the only reason I am giving this review 3 stars. On booking our stay we requested a porta cot for our 6 month old daughter, however on checking in to the room there was no porta cot available. My husband questioned reception about the lack of porta cot to which he was informed that the resort did not have any porta cots at all. We had to make a make shift bed for her from a couch cushion and cot sheet we had brought with us. The unit itself was tidy but tired. The couch was broken and faded, the carpets pulled and stained, the screen doors to the balcony didn't latch properly and the fly screens were very loose. The light in the master bedroom did not work. Board games were available, however torn, and many parts were missing. During our stay, the oven would overheat and switch itself off. The oven knobs were extremely hot as well as surrounding surfaces. The washing mashing would cut out and we would have to restart it mid cycle a few times. On the last 6 lost power to half the unit, including the washing machine, dryer and power outlets in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We switched everything off at the walls in the unit to problem solve what could be tripping the safety switch but couldn't find the issue. As the power was lost after we had gone to bed, it meant our fridge was without power for several hours and some food items lost. Reception was closed! No help

No staff at desk, room very tired and stained. Sofa and Outdoor table falling apart. Bedroom shutters didn't fully close and light came through from hallway so I had to sleep on the couch to get darkness.

When I arrived to collect the key to the room the guy in the office, the staff member said if I had any queries to not call him. I had no internet in the room and when I went to the front office to query about this the guy said for me to hot spot off my phone. After saying that's not good enough and that I was down there to do a course and that I needed internet for studying he eventually went into the office and grabbed another modem for me to use. Staff were not very freindly or helpfull.

room clean but had signs of wear and tear like patch up jobs on walls and lot of scuffs and marks. bed average, could feel some springs poking through. TV was broken. great views, well equipped and great location. Facilities good but sauna was not working. Reception was not manned during the advertised hours.

Expedia listing conflicted with the hotels listing. Expedia said 5 persons but actual room was only for 4 so we had one less bed and had to use couch. Hotel said we needed to pay extra for another bed. Expedia did refund us partially for this.

The Property and layout were great. However upon arriving to find the air conditioning broken, and the floor soaking wet, took 6+hours to dry them.
The ensuite light was dull to the point you needed to shower via phone light.
I will never book this room again as the staff were extremely ungrateful about the conditions of the room, merely told us the owner said everything works😕

The guy on the front desk is not very friendly or approachable. I paid for an extra person to stay and was not provided with an extra bed. However the lady that stopped what she was doing to show me and my children to our room was very friendly and really helpful. The location is superb so close to the beach it’s amazing.

Sadly check in took about 20 mins due to the person that was meant to be on the desk leaving their phone at the desk while they went to do things. Unit was still being cleaned at 2:30 when we finally got in to the unit. Beds weren’t made properly, dirty towels from last guest still in the ensuite bathroom, what appears to be makeup on the walls, and on sheets. Cleaners started dishwasher when leaving meaning we had to unpack it. Still rubbish in the bin. Washing machine doesn’t drain so had to continually put it to spin cycle to drain, lint filter in dryer so full it was a fire hazard. All the frypans were filthy and clearly not cleaned properly. Very disappointing as we love this resort and come 2-3 times a year. Very let down.

The room we stayed in was poorly equipped. No clothes dryer, no hair dryer, aircon didn’t work, no soap dish in shower, no shower curtain (looks good in magazines, hopeless when children use shower). Toilet was faulty, reported day 1 and not fixed. Oven barely worked.

The facilities are great. The room not so much. We arrived on a 36 degree day. No air cons in rooms only in lounge room had to move all mattress's out there so all kids could get cool. Only double beds in 2 rooms which are not good when you have tall teenage sons. Dishes were dirty. Mould in cupboards and bathrooms. Outside setting rusty and unusable as broken. Lounge absolutely filthy and stained. I wouldn't take my children back to that room it was very unsanitary.

A lovely resort adjacent to the beach with easy access to walking track and the patrolled beach.
The unit was homely rather than super modern but perfectly suitable. The cleaning of some areas e.g. balcony was not up to scratch but all living areas were well cleaned.
We found the pool an excellent size with a gym and hot spa part of that complex. Very convenient. At times, the pool was a little cloudy and we wondered whether it was being serviced sufficiently at this peak time of year. A few other signs of under maintenance were apparent at times e.g. pool fence gate locking was dodgy.
We parked one car underneath and the other in the visitors car park as advised and although the latter was very full we always found a park.
Our unit was on the beach side not the highway side and we heard no road noise.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We will look for less expensive options for next year's vacation but would happily go back to this place if needs be.

Will never stay here again. Paid $300 per night and the place was disgustingly dirty. The couch was filthy, chunks of hair on the floor, dirt and grime built up in corners, the bed linen was dirty, the air conditioner didnt work and the bed was so uncomfortable I got up with a sore back each night.

Very poor unit. Needs a lot of renovations and updating for the price. Rollaway bedding option unsuitable for sleep. Poor appliances.

Positives: The Resort’s grounds and general amenities are very good and well maintained. The Resort has direct access to one of the best beach environments on the Sunshine Coast. We had great views of the ocean and Mudjimba Island from our 5th floor apartment balcony. A number of interesting cafes and bars are located nearby.
Negatives: Apartment 107 that we rented for a short stay was very disappointing. The apartment had only been partially cleaned. There was empty takeaway packaging left on the balcony. The kitchen benches needed wiping down. The refrigerator had food scraps left on the shelves. The dining room table had food residue stuck on the surface and needed wiping down. The oven grill had not been cleaned. The balcony glass panels and sliding doors were almost opaque from the salt air and needed cleaning. The screen doors to the balcony were stuck together at the latch due to rust and initially had to be prized apart to enter the balcony. The split A/C systems remote control was missing. The A/C unit condenser located on the balcony was heavily rusted and barely functional. The A/C unit really should be replaced. The black faux leather lounge was thread bare in places and had a coloured cloth and cushions hiding where the surface had delaminated.
Conclusion: The Resort does not appear to have minimum standard that apartments are required to maintain before they are made available for holiday rentals. We will not rent here again.

The unit itself was lovely. But we had no towels, no soap, no coffee, old soap still in soap holder from previous stay and not cleaned, no tea towel but had to clean before we left. Had to scrub microwave before we could use it as was filthy and plate had old cooked food all over it. Outside table still had food and drink spills all over it. Reception was supposed to be open from 9-12 on weekends no one in site. Thankfully we managed to get some towels on the second day. Position and area was lovely just very sad the cleanliness and staffing let it down.

After a reasonably efficient but not overly friendly check-in, we were confronted by a room that looked and felt dirty. The carpet looked like a crime scene and the walls weren't much better. We also discovered the fridge wasnt working so the management were kind enough to move us to another room.
Although the new room didn't have a roof top area, it was in a significantly better and cleaner state so we really felt like we dodged a bullet. Unfortunately, the room was far from perfect and we discovered used towels/tea towels and a dirty toliet/shower which grossed us out a little but it was still better than the \"penthouse\" apartment.
Apart from that, the view from the room was magnificent and the surrounding grounds were beautiful. Overall, Marcoola is a beautiful spot to visit but I wouldnt be rushing back to Marcoola Beach Resort.

Pros: easy check in, onsite parking, most facilities you need, bed was super comfortable although bedside tables rather than tall boy would be better

Cons: 2 towels for 3 guests, bathroom bins still had sanitary products from previous guests so clearly hadn’t been cleaned, both doonas have yellow stains as did a couple of pillows. Tv remote is temperamental. Switch to power the oven and hot plates is dangerous and unsafe - sizzles and crackle and hard to switch off.

Had a comfortable stay after working around the issues.

We had a lovely stay but there were a few issues - reception is only open from 2pm-5pm, no batteries in tv remote, very little toilet paper with no additional rolls available (5 people in the apartment), we had to empty the dishwasher from the previous occupancy. The apartment was very comfortable though and the grounds and facilities lovely.

We arrived at 2:30pm on a Saturday and the reception was closed. The caretaker said he tried to call me but I didn’t receive a call.

The townhouse wasn’t clean. Empty toiletry bottles were left in the shower, wet towels in the dryer and a laundry sink full of someone else’s belongings. There were no additional bin liners, no sponges for cleaning dishes or wiping benches. The bed was so creaky when you moved that I was conscious of it all night.

The house it self was nice and spacious and served its purpose. The pool and spa were great and the proximity to the beach was wonderful.

Close to the beach and dining areas. Local to beaches and not too far from bigger areas like noosa and Maroochydore.

CONS:
Roof in main bedroom filthy with dust or mould, tv in bedroom and the blinds dusty. Cabinet behind the couch has mould and dust all over, tables were dusty inside and out. No cleaning items for the kitchen. Shelves in bedroom were dusty

Unit 10 although very roomy smelt like dogs lived in the room, it was an awful smell. Complained to the person on reception who was disinterested. I have taken photos of the dirt on the furniture, smears on microwave, fridge, mirrors etc. Went to coles and purchased cleaning products to clean floors and bring the standard to a livable condition. Doona in the main bedroom also smelt like dogs.
Drawers were dirty, some pillows in cupboard were old and yellow/stained, some pillowslips had not been washed. Broken furniture in 3rd bedroom cupboards. Floors not vacuumed and outside area, which was a lovely large area was extremely dirty.
The surrounding gardens were lovely as was the outside atmosphere.
Would not recommend staying in this Unit 10 which is a large 3 bedroom unit with a lot of potential if it was looked after and cleaned.

The property was ok. Unit was outdated. There was a hole in the wall behind the door. The little work cupboards in the wall for pipes was open and wouldn’t shut. Tv didn’t work apart from abc kids and no other options. No remote for master bedroom fan. Dining table and area around it was filthy. Check in staff were blunt and rude. You can’t close the windows in bedroom so stuck breathing in the smoke from neighbours smoking - not great with young kids.

Nice room needs spring clean/curtains

The apartment was nice and big but we felt the place felt like it was for pensioners the guy who lived beneath came out of his room to make a point of hearing a bouncing ball to my son and making a joke offering him a knuckle sandwich, which only happened once on the 1st day and then therafter felt like qe had to tippytoe everywhere on the joint.The lounge/dining room didnt have all required blockout curtains so not very private the same was in the room for my children the main bedroom did but curtain runners werent all there so didnt shut properly.the wall mounted pedestal fan was full of dust fluff which wasnt appealing especially when children are allergic to dust mite.the exhaust fans in bathrooms were full of dust and fluff.

We paid for 7 guests but the room we were put in only had space for 6, only 6 towels, only 4 mugs etc Not enough for a 7 peraon group. Qe voiced this qith a member of staff who was all defensive but eventually left a foldaway bed at our door, after we spent a night on an extremely uncomfortable couch
