This complex is so we’ll see up for kids, it’s amazing. It’s very close to the beach, has a huge pool and spa, jumping castle, BB court, tennis court, swing set. It’s a kids paradise. The apartment was very large and again, a great set up for kids. We were not bothered by the planes at all. We all definitely return.

The only negative is the cleanliness. Especially in the bedrooms. The lampshades were so dirty and I had to go and buy a pack of antibacterial wipes to clean the cupboards as I couldn’t put my clothes inside in the state it was in! A shame.

Beautiful. We brought a baby who crawls but all carpet floors were enough clean to crawl. Ocean view from the room were wonderful. I loved well cleaned white window fittings. I would like to give the cleaners a big round of applause!
Jumping pillow, pool, gaming room & playgrounds were great for kids. Beach was only few minutes away from the hotel & there was another playground nearby. We spent most of our time in the hotel during our stay but we enjoyed our time.

Loved the facilities for the kids. Pool was warm and spa attached was very nice too - all in July! We arrived and were ecstatic to learn we had been upgraded to the rooftop apartment with spa, views of the ocean and the airport (which the kids loved). Staff were so helpful and friendly. Meters walk from the beach and a great Chinese restaurant across the road who’s food was amazing ! I had the best king prawn omelette that I have ever eaten ! Security was outstanding at the complex and we felt 100% safe. Can’t wait to return to this fabulous holiday complex and feel like we’re rich people again !

Over the past year, I have stayed at similar properties and believe Atlantis to be the best so far. Cannot fault the room layout, property amenities and surrounds. The only issue I have is the bed, thought the mattress to be either aged or a little 'cheap\" perhaps.

Absolutely fantastic beach/ocean views (we could watch the whales going south everyday from our balcony). Enjoyed the property's swimming pool, giant trampoline, small gym, and games room. Location has direct access to beach, & the coastal running/walking/cycling path. Shopping strip with cafes, restaurants, take-aways, bottle shop, mini mart, pharmacy, & petrol across the road. We enjoyed a wonderful week at the Atlantis Marcoola, which we last visited over ten years ago. It was as comfortable and as conveniently located as we remembered. It is located on a quiet, pristine beach that is patrolled year round. Provisions are available at a small shopping strip across the street, while a larger shopping centre is only a couple of kilometres away and Sunshine Plaza (Maroochydore) not much farther. Coolum and Noosa are also within a pleasant drive. Sunshine Coast has so much to offer - beautiful weather, stunning national parks, craft markets and farmers' markets, interesting flora and fauna, fine dining and excellent shopping, swimming, boarding and surfing, family destinations - it is a first-class place for a memorable vacation.

This seems like a rental by owner property rather than a hotel/motel/guesthouse. It was large, clean, and had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and our unit had a view of the ocean. The beach was a short few minute walk, and a bakery, 7 eleven and other restaurants were within walking distance. Parking was provided.

This was our first time staying at Atlantis Marcoola. We had a 2 bedroom apartment over looking the beach on level 3. Apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for the four of us. The comfort level of the bed matresses were okay but not great. After 9 nights away i was really looking forward to going home to my bed. If you're after a room with a view I'd ask for a room no lower than level 3 as the trees in the sand dunes restricts the view. Beach is 2 mins walk down the path right beside the hotel. Great walking/bike riding paths for families. Fantastic pool area for the family with a lagoon style pool. Some pool equipment is supplied for everyones use at the pool (noodles and boggie boards). Buckets and spades are available to borrow for playing on the beach. Staff were lovely and very friendly. We will be staying here again.

had been to Atlantis before and knew that the lower floors didn't have views of the ocean, so this time - returning with a friend- I picked a 2-bedroom ocean view apartment. In spite of the efforts of Cyclone Linda, which closed the beach for a couple of days, it was everything I had hoped for.
Fly screens meant that we could have the bedroom windows open at night and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean without getting bitten by mosquitoes.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and all sorts of thoughtful extras are provided - pool ' toys', books to borrow and even board games for anyone who wants them.
The kitchen was well-equipped and there was an internal laundry. Two very tiny suggestions -
1. It would be good to have more than two sachets of dishwasher and 1 sachet of laundry powder for a 6-night stay. Knowing how friendly and helpful the staff are, I'm sure they would have given us more if we had asked, which we didn't - so I'm really not complaining!
2. I'd love to have found salt pepper and cooking oil in the apartment. This would be really welcome for those arriving (like us) on a Sunday.

Atlantis Marcoola is one of the best serviced apartment hotels on the Sunshine Coast. Very affordable but also great facilities and amenities. There’s a small community of shops nearby so you don’t have to travel far for anything and you can feel like you’re miles away. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommended for families, groups or couples.

We had booked a Studio for 4 nights to celebrate our 54th Wedding Anniversary & were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom Apartment with ocean glimpses & also given a bottle of Wine to enjoy. Thank you again Atlantis!!! The apartment was indeed comfortable, providing all kitchen appliances & utensils should you need to self cater.. There was always a cool breeze on the balcony to enjoy \"afternoon drinkies\". The gardens were immaculate, with all the outdoor recreational facilities provided for families . Great Bakery, Coffee shops, restaurants just across the road - so handy. I would thoroughly recommend this Resort to all.

The view from the balcony over the ocean is fantastic from the apartments on that side of the building. Get a room above the 3rd floor if you can.There's a lot of privacy due to the design, and the rooms are air-conditioned and comfortable. Everything is clean and orderly, with a good pool area for families and beach access directly in front (no road to cross). Small but functional kitchen & laundry, and 2 bathrooms in the 2 bedroom apartment were great features.

Have stayed here for 10 years. Was a cheap place to stay but now is a bit expensive in school holiday time seems have creeped up in price at that time of year. Which is sad as it is a lovely family holiday. The pool is amazing and the grounds are kept beautifully. Relaxing without all the traffic, bit of a distance to shops and lots of cafes it you are use to dining out all the time. But love love the location away from the hustle and bustle. Look forward to going back in Feb sometime to unwind. But great family holiday for families.

I picked this place as it looked good for smaller children, with a playground & toddler pool. We went with an active 2 year old. The apartment was fantastic. We had a beach view & could hear the waves crashing from our balcony. It was clean & comfortable and had everything you need. The playground for our toddler was great too. The staff were very accommodating and made the experience very easy. Would love to go again

Given the price, I was disappointed by the visible age of the apartment.
It looked as though it wasn't used for some time, it had flecks of paint and dirt in the bathroom on the vanity.
While there was plenty of room, it was just very tired. Beds were comfy and clean and was wonderful to have ocean and garden/pool views.
The location is a good 7km from a Coles or Woolworths; a decent supermarket a necessity with a young family of 5 when booking the accomodation with the intention of cooking family meals.
Had the cost not been nearly $250 per night, my expectations wouldn't have been so high.

We were greeted by the very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome for the whole week of our holiday. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Amazing ocean views from the well appointed rooms. Our kids loved the roof top spa and the pool area is great also. Walk to everything from this hotel and also enjoy some plane spotting at the airport opposite! Would highly recommend a visit for a week or even a few days. So much to do in the surrounding areas.

The overall external complex and grounds are well maintained with excellent beach access however the apartment I was allocated is in need of updating/refurbishing (carpets stained, bathroom fittings old, old furniture and uncomfortable main bed mattress). The ocean views from the 3rd level are obscured by the trees/shrubs bordering the beach and not true ocean views which is what i was particularly after and had discussed with the onsite management - my main disappoint which would have compensated for any other shortcomings.

Overall the stay was fantastic with a spacious apartment, good facilities and great access to a nice beach. The kids enjoyed the pool, basketball court and other facilities. The only criticism would be that upon arriving at the apartment, the front doors had been left open, along with some windows which resulted in the apartment being completely mosquito infested for the first 24 hours we were there. As we'd arrived mid-evening, it was near impossible to get rid of the mosquitos on the first night, resulting in a very uncomfortable sleep for all.

Quieter part of Sunshine Coast!
Stayed for 6 nights at Atlantis Marcoola after 4 nights on the Gold Coast, found Marcoola to be a great platform to visit other spots of the Sunshine Coast and although it is quieter it is still serviced by a few shops, cafes etc. Really enjoyed the Atlantis and would stay there again, pool and rooms are great without being mobbed by people. If staying in Marcoola would recommend you have a hire car or one of your own.
