This hotel is like an art museum. Very original. Great breakfast. The owner is very professional and welcoming.
The location is great just 1.8km from P2 to visit the beautiful San Marino city walls, shops and attractions. I highly recommended.

The staff, cleanliness and breakfast were all great. The lighting in the room was quirky and several key lightbulbs didn’t work. There was no desk nor chair in the room. Extremely low pressure in the shower and challenging to adjust the temperature. The sink faucet didn’t work properly.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were a little strangely configured but decent enough. Our only complaint is the shower was not clean. Mold and buildup. Neither one of us opted to use it. Breakfast was absolutely sufficient. Parking was right across the street so very convenient.

There is mold in the rooms' shower and ac vent, rude guy name Paolo in the front desk, no wall electrical outlets in the room walls, actual view of my room was a wall and they mislead consumers by not disclosing the correct information. In addition there was a floor outlet under the bed which has direct night stand light connected which is a major hazard no to mention a bathroom made out of glass walls that you could bump into and hurt yourself. Please do not even consider renting this hotel.

Great hotel, great location

Really nice and modern hotel. From check-in to check-out we were met with professionalism, friendliness and courtesy. The rooms are very clean, very modern with all the amenities one needs. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome, the breakfast is tasty and plentiful. It is located really close to the downtown San Marino and if you are lucky to get a room on the entrance side, the view is OUTSTANDING.

The bus came really near the hotel to take us back to Rimini (across from the gas station). The clerk very kindly drove us to the city center. Breakfast was yummy and we liked the decor. The pizza place across the street sold the best gnocchi I've ever eaten.

We have been travelling Portugal and Italy for almost a month and this was the best to us so far for the money we paid. The staff were really helpful, room was excellent.

Great service from the folks at Hotel San Marino iDesign. We were allowed to check in early, got pointers on the sites, and best of all was able to eat breakfast before the allotted time due to a very early checkout. This place was very accommodating. Bravo Hotel San Marino iDesign!

Clean, modern room and friendly staff. The reception staff spent lots of time giving us information and recommendations. You can walk to the city centre in 25 minutes, though it is all uphill. Breakfast was well organised.

The bed could have been a bit more luxurious given the overall standard of the hotel; it had an older style spring matress that was bot verry comfortable. Some hot options for breakfast would be nice.

This was a hotel like no other. The entrance lounge was fascinating and we spent a lot of time looking at the decor. The lift was an experience with a lot of glass and mirrors and floor lighting that changed colour as the lift moved! The room had a huge bed, excellent wifi and again a lot of glass with privacy provided by muslin type white curtains

We did not stay in the proeperty as the quality of beds was poor. We requested the quadruple room expecting two large beds as per previous email request. It was a very small room with a queen bed and a further 2 campbeds with very thin mattresses not conducive to sleeping.....

A wonderful hotel, very quick and professional to accommodate our needs. Very quirky art house hotel. Parking right next to the hotel is free and it’s a 4 min car journey into the historic centre. If you are keen on walking it’s a 35 minute brisk uphill walk to the centre.

Designer hotel, stylish, 30 mins from centre

Pro - Stylish, modern, very clean, great breakfast of pastries meats, cheeses etc, very good coffee. (no hot food or full English thou). Pleasant exterior courtyard for breakfast - but horrible smoking allowed ! Nice 30 mins walk to San Marino centre - uphill thou so be warned. Helpful staff, comfy bed, fantastic air con, great art works n pics around hotel, lift has amazing coloured lights display. Rimini bus stop 2 mins away (Murata).

Cons. Despite being advertised as non- smoking it is not ! Reception staff smoking in bar area n smoking allowed on breakfast terrace which wafts through huge open doors into interior breakfast area. Very unpleasant. If you sit near doors you have smokers next to you - horrible.

Quirky \"design\" over practicality or function - light switches for bathroom next to entrance door, rainfall shower design had many water Jets blocked/misaligned thus squirted in all directions even to outside of shower. No chair for work desk, just a small low stool, reception provided a dining room chair for my laptop use. Wooden floors, nice but can here every footstep, chair scrape, drop from room above. Could hear lift noise and next door occupants/loo flush etc. Ask for room at back as very noisy main road in front. Housekeeping knocked on door every morning to clean despite \"do not disturb\" being outside, even twice in one morning, waking me each time.

Nice hotel overall, much cheaper than central ones, just needs a few changes n would be great.

From the moment we arrived we enjoyed excellent service from every member of staff - I wish I had all their names - but without exception they were warm, friendly, courteous and very helpful. We enjoy walking so the location of this Hotel suited us enabling us to walk into San Marino centre within 30-40 minutes, (it was uphill going in!!). The views and scenery was all worth it. Also the roof terrace and pool were much appreciated.

Unfortunately disappointing

Neither the air con or the safe worked in the room. We arrived 3pm on a Sat and were told they couldn't get a safe repair man that day. When asked if we could change room, they said maybe later that day but not at 3pm. They never got back to us when we return that evening. We then discovered the air con wasn't working in the room, called the reception and was told it was switched off or can't be turned on. We had to open the window that night, despite the room was facing side way not facing directly to main road, we could hear the traffic from early morning. View of the side is next door's wall. We did not have a comfortable stay.

The design of the hotel is quirky that comfort and practicalities were compromised. The glass wall toilet and bathroom could have worked but it didn't because a glass wall was placed too close to the toilet making the space uncomfortably small when you use the facility. Toiletries were very basic, with a plastic bottle of shower gel glued onto the glass shelf inside the shower. Shower head is non-adjustable. A few bars of tiny soap were available. The slippers offered were paper thin, literally.
You need 2 hands to operate the stiff fancy tap at the sink, very difficult and not practical.

There are some nice pictures hang in the star way, but the overall hotel is not what i class as design hotel, it has a lot of random pieces in the lobby like someone's collection of pieces from his/her travel.

Very nice & the most hospitable experience

This was a good hotel with spacious rooms with modern decor and a clean bathroom with all necessary things provided, and a nice buffet breakfast is provided downstairs each morning. But what was amazing was the hospitality shown by the staff and management at iDesign, it was simply beyond superlatives. They really made me feel so welcome in the Most Serene Republic of San Marino I really can’t say thank you enough:
- I was collected from the town (because I got off the bus too early before my stop),
- I was provided a tourist card to give me discount shipping and on some entry charges in the historic centre, I given a ride into town the next morning,
- I got assistance using the laundromat in the building next door, and
- when I booked an extra nights stay I was given a room with an ocean view in a higher floor at a very competitive room rate.
All up this hotel is well run by some very nice hospitable people ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very nice hotel, located within 1-1.5 miles from the old town. The staff was very friendly and full of advise on local site seeing and dining. The room was pretty small, but clean, and with modern design and appliances, a small refrigerator and a small flat screen TV. The self parking was readily available right across the street from the hotel. WiFi was sufficiently fast. One interesting detail: the elevator lit up with different colors, like 80th disco, which was pretty cool. The hotel is pet friendly. We had two large dogs with us, for which we were charged 10 Euro per each dog. The buffet style breakfast was pretty descent. It included a choice of cold cuts, cheeses, bread, juices, coffee, and hard boiled eggs. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

Nice clean modern hotel, 25 minute walk up the hill into town. There is a pool on the roof but wasn't in use, imagine in the summer it would be good to use but was late September when we were there. Didn't have breakfast but imagine it was matching to the standard of everything else in the hotel. Really friendly owner who was really helpful to everyone. Wifi good enough for streaming a movie.

When in San Marino stay at the I Design

Superb accommodation. Very fashionable. Clean. Rooms and beds very comfortable.
Breakfast excellent and great choices. Stafff extremely polite especially Mario who made our stay memorable. Pool and sun loungers on the roof were a surprising bonus.
I've got to give this hotel 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone.

Horrible. Booked on a low-budget online booking service...you get what you pay for.
iDesign... what a joke. Nobody with any formal design training had anything to do with this disaster. Vinyl decals affixed to a wall does not constitute thoughtful design. A cardboard cutout of London's Big Ben installed in the elevator is just sad.

We checked in and immediately asked if they had a room on the other side of the building away from the street. The front desk guy stated the hotel was completely booked, so sorry and I was welcome to leave and find other accommodations... I had prepaid! Anyway, after about 30 minutes I invited him up to the room to see the AC was not working, he again stated I could hit the road. I mentioned I planned on reviewing the place and that was gonna be hard (or very easy) to do if I had to leave. All of the sudden he had another room available... So he was lying earlier. We soon realized the AC throughout the building was horrible.

Form over function. The toilet seats are square (stupid), our room had a umbrella-esque shower curtail (stupid) that flooded the whole room. The place is ridiculous. Looks like an elementary school art studio exploded.

Breakfast was sparse, basically cold soggy breads with jelly and horrible coffee.
Place was filthy... guest rooms and common areas.

Don't stay here, I won't ever again.

Great Staff!! Not Too Far From Sights

The staff was extremely helpful & friendly. The hotel is not in the main tourist area, however; the staff was nice enough to give us a complementary ride to the main area. If you take a taxi, it will cost about 15 Euro. The hotel met all of our needs and the room included a free breakfast. There is a good pizza place within a short walk from the hotel. Also, there is a bus stop near the hotel where you can catch a bus to Rimini, Italy or the downtown area of San Marino...unfortunately, we didn't find out about the bus stop until we checked out, but could have saved a lot of money in taxi rides had we known. Overall, a nice place to stay with a great staff. Just be aware it is a good 3km from the tourist sights.

Nous avons passé une bonne nuit dans cet hôtel situé un peu à l’écart du centre historique. La chambre était correcte, même si nous avons ressenti une légère impression d’humidité. Le petit-déjeuner pourrait être amélioré, mais dans l’ensemble, cela reste un très bon rapport qualité-prix pour San Marin.

Personale cortese e disponibile, albergo bello nel complesso e situato in una zona comoda anche se con solo un ristorante vicino, ma dove si mangia abbastanza bene. Dispiace però la poca cura nello stato di manutenzione:la tenda della camera in parte staccata, le pareti stesse della camera che avrebbero sicuramente bisogno di una ritinteggiatura, il pavimento che appare macchiato,sono particolari non piacevoli da constatare.
