This hotel was perfectly located in Moltrasio. Right across the street from the ferry which takes you to all the little towns along Lake Como. The restaurant was amazing for dinner with delicious food and incredible service. It included breakfast which was really well done and had everything you could ask for! Rooms were large and clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing beats a classy family owned hotel….the perfect place to stay on the water’s edge at Lake Como.
The staff were excellent and provided great knowledge as to what to see and do.
The breakfast was excellent .
We would definitely return here but next time stay for 2 or 3 nights!…..totally recommend this hotel, can’t fault it!

Lovely Little Hotel

The Hotel Posta was such a treat. The people who ran the hotel were so friendly, helpful and fun. The location was perfect for getting the boat that takes you around the lake. Our room was spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant was great and the little bar next door was also great quality. I loved this cute family owned and operated hotel. Everyone works there is very friendly. The location is perfectly right in front of the port. Rooms are very clean and smell good. Breakfast is delicious.

This was the highlight of our trip- the setting, food and staff were amazing! The hotel is opposite the public transport boat stop so it was easy access to everywhere else on Lake Como.

Family Vacation

This was an excellent hotel and was the highlight of our trip. The staff were incredible and the air conditioning is a must after a hot day in the lake. Breakfast on the terrace can’t be beat. The town has a lot of great options for food and the pizzeria next door is a must try. I am not one to go to the same location twice on vacation but I would make an exception for this hotel!!

Old-fashioned hospitality

Had a great location right by the ferry stop. Owners gave us helpfiul information about getting around. Restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Next time I’ll try to book sooner for a water view although Mountain View was nice.

Ferry was right across the street so you could go anywhere in Lake Como. Hotel restaurant was good and complimentary breakfasts were quite welcome as going to other restaurants takes a while to get to. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cosy little family run hotel, where the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The village was nice and peaceful in the evening, but there were a few bars and restaurants around to eat and drink in. Hotel was perfectly placed about 1 minute walk away from the ferry station, so easy to get around even without a car

Excellent location and service

The location is right across from the ferry stop. Hiking trails and lots of steps to explore in the hills above the town. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the restaurant and a full breakfast. Highly recommend!

A beautiful spot on the lake, right in front of a ferry terminal and a bus stop. There is a network of nice walking trails starting from the hotel with beautiful views and interesting historic spots. The receptionist was very kind and friendly. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommended.

Lovely friendly hotel

Lovely family run hotel in a great location. We arrived late in the evening and were able to have some amazing italian food from the restaurant. The boat stop is just 30 meters from the hotel entrance. Staff made sure we got everything we needed. Will definitely return one day soon.

We so enjoyed our stay at Hotel Posta. The room was large and the facility was gorgeous. The breakfast was the best we have had during our stay in Italy and we were welcomed so kindly at the front desk. She took the time to help us sort our transportation in the area and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. We will certainly stay here every time we visit lake como from here on.

I would not call it a hotel. It is more like being home. The staff is amazing. It is like eating breakfast with your family, leaving for the day to then be greeted by the same family when you return. Rooms are well equipped, very clean, comfortable. We are not people who do much more than sleep at hotels and as such was always a pleasure to come back, relax, and recharge in a peaceful, relaxing “home”. WONDERFUL!!

Gem of a hotel right next to lake. I was attending a business meeting at the Imperiale hotel next door where colleagues were paying 3x the room rate I paid but for a less spacious and comfortable room. Full recommend this hotel.

The Posta is luxurious. Right across the street from the lake and the public boat dock, so you can go anywhere on the lake from there. Breakfast is wonderful and their restaurant is wonderful. A great place to unwind!

Property was conveniently located on the lake, easy access from major roads. Being immediately on the lake means parking on arrival is a little dicey, but the parking garage for the property is just up the road and convenient if available (limited spots). The hotel is directly across from an embarkation point for lake transportation which is a major plus if you are carless. There are several locations within driving distance for access to pools and \"beaches\" but they are not free, and only reachable by bike or car. Walking along the lake road is high risk during daylight. The in house restaurant is very good and stays busy and provides a nice morning breakfast. The rooms are adequate and very clean, and several members of the staff are very pleasant!

Charming family-style Hotel near Cernobbio

Charming, family-run hotel, very close to Cernobbio and the attractions of Lake Como. Room was nice with a bit of a view of the lake, there is however a relatively busy road between the hotel and the lake. The owners were absolutely charming and made us and the dog feel very welcome. The restaurant is good too.

Hotel poster is not just a hotel and restaurant but it’s an experience. The staff are very committed as several belong to the lineage of owners over the past 90 years and they demonstrate the passion to serve their customers. Be sure to reserve a spot on there great patio for dinner if you are staying as a guest because it will sell out to neighboring hotel and bed-and-breakfast occupants. Their breakfast was above and beyond any that I have had. Armando and his team treat you like family. The hotel is a stone’s throw from the ferry terminal. If you can physically do it, be sure to climb the stone pathway at least to the town square and grab some gelato and take in the views. Amazing experience—thank you Hotel Posta!

Stay here, arrive at an hour that’s not food time.

Don’t get there during feed time as they are busy at n the kitchen, ignoring reception. Waited more than 15 minutes even though they knew I was there. Otherwise a great place, great location, great staff, comfortable and convenient.

What makes the difference is the staff, they make you feel welcomed and are very helpful. Admittedly the fist impression was a bit off. We typically stay in major chain hotels and our initial impression was that the location would not workout for us. However this quickly faded and our stay was quite pleasant. Though the facilities are older and show signs of wear the cleaning staff was top notch!

A big \"Thanks!\" to Teresa who went out of her way to make our visit enjoyable.

Our biggest regret....
We waited until our last night to dine at the hotel.

The room was super clean and the bathroom is modern and very clean. 👌

The staff and family running this hotel were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was fabulous and the bedroom was big and comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and it's friendly staff. Not like another hotel not a hundred miles away where people I know who were staying there, had so many problems. Hotel Posts deserves a higher star rating than this other hotel as they know how to treat guests so we'll.

The location of this hotel is amazing! right on the lake, with a wonderful restaurant, an underground private and gated parking, huge and updated rooms and a short distance to Como, Bellagio and other places. However - what is really great about this hotel is the STAFF!! they are simply amazing, very warm and welcoming, doing above and beyond to make your stay absolutely amazing, a family-run hotel, with the best service I've seen, wonderful!

Very quaint but comfortable. Nicely decorated rooms. The bathroom was very roomy and comfortable compared to what we had experienced in Venice and Sorrento. Sitting room at the stair landing on our floor with coffee/tea service was a nice touch! Very good restaurant and decent breakfast. Great location in a quiet little town that looks like a throwback to the early 20th century Italy. Nice but uphill walk/stair climb to the sleepy town center with a nice view of the lake. And having the boat dock right in front was very convenient!

This was a Wonderful stay. Location is great. On Lake Como. Ferry dock directly across from the hotel. Get on the ferry and explore. We got of in Bellagio and did some shopping followed by an amazing lunch. Also amazing restaurant at the hotel and one next door too. Morning buffet breakfast was the best on out two week trip !

Family Hotel with a family feeling

Friendly and welcoming, excellent restaurant. It is about as far from a \"Euro\" business hotel as you can get, but still respectful of guests with very helpful staff. Moltrasio is a small village and there is not much there - very quiet but Como itself is only 20 minutes away by very convenient boat service if you do not have a car.

Wonderful stay on the lake

Everything was wonderful!! However, Google cannot correctly identify the location when entered or pasted and finding the hotel with Google was frustrating. Google had me further north on a dead end path on the side of a steep mountain nowhere near the hotel. The hotel is right on the lake across from Piazza San Rocco in Moltrasio. When we finally got there, we had parking large enough to accommodate an Opel Vivarro van! The staff were all very kind and friendly. On my next visit to Lake Como, I would definitely want to stay here again.

Quaint little hotel that made stay on Lake Como wonderful. The hotel is situated right across the street from the ferry landing which connects you to the rest of Lake Como destinations. The elevator is small and won't accommodate a stroller. The rooms are all distinct with their own charm. Breakfast was good.

Nice family owned home away from home.

The hotel's location is just across from the ferry point. This is important if you choose not to drive. But note that it takes about an hour by ferry to Bellagio, 10 mins to Como. The restaurant serves good food and breakfast is great. Ask for eggs - any style you want. The fried eggs were really well done. And don't forget to use the rooftop terrace. I wish the front desk had made a point to remind us, even thought it's in the hotel literature in your room.

If you do drive, remember it's 10 euro per day to park. And there isn't a promenade to walk much, so you're forced to walk along the road in some sections. Roads are narrow and traffic can be heavy.

Nice hotel but in a very quiet village

Large rooms, those the ones at the front suffer from traffic and restaurant noise. We moved to the back. Downside of second room no refrigerator. Pillows on the hard side. Excellent restaurant, the lamb is especially good. About 30 minutes from Como with a big choice of restaurants and shops. For us the location was a bit too quiet, but the hotel and restaurant were both excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The large rooms a definite plus. So only no recommendation because of the location, if that is not too unfair.

Great people make this Hotel

Don't get the bus to the hotel as they travel too fast for you to notice or will drop you off at the top of the hill rather than outside the hotel next to the lake (it seems the morning bus uses the lower route and the later ones the top of the hill).

Dont follow google maps for the hotel. It will take you 3 kms away. Use the Imperial Hotel in google as this hotel is next door.

We were dropped off at the wrong location. Bless the Hotel Owner, Armando who came to collect us in his car and wouldnt take anything for it.

The staff were always smiling, working and nothing was ever too much for them. We asked for an iron and put the phone back in its cradle and the iron was here, ice buckets provided as we walked in on several occasions, breakfast was also provided early if we were up early. The room was cleaned and sheets changed every day.

The breakfast was very good especially the incredibly sweet fruit. The pastries were fresh (I saw them being put in the oven in the morning) and lovely.

If we wanted to sit in another part of the veranda for breakfast, no problem. They moved everything immediately with a smile.

They get a 99% approval from me . The internet was a bit hit and miss and because of this, I have not given them 100% although they spent ages with our phones and ipad trying to sort it out. It may be just the room, no 27 but the router is just outside.

Anyway, they were fantastic and make this hotel.

A nice quaint family run boutique hotel with restaurant. Very beautiful setting. We were happy with our room it had a balcony overlooking the lake. Food at the restaurant was very good, waiters a bit in there own important world. Other than it was very hard to find the hotel, we enjoyed our stay.

Very close to the ferry, breakfast was outstanding

We were happy to stay at this charming hotel. Great value. Parking was available for our rental car. Across the street from the ferry which was very convenient. $25 for a taxi from Como. The breakfast which was included was absolutely great, we were very impressed.
