I wanted to give it 5 stars until my Stanley waterbottle was stolen by a staff member which was confirmed by Aurelia.
The hotel itself is beautiful. Has everything you need and great location. Parking is free right outside the doors so no need to pay their prices.

The property itself was beautiful, but unfortunately, I feel that booking through a third party put us at a disadvantage. Our room view was disappointing—facing an empty factory. Meals were not included in our stay, though they are if you book directly through the hotel, which I would recommend. The food at both on-site restaurants was overpriced and just average, and the service left much to be desired.

We also had an issue with housekeeping—we ran out of toilet paper and, despite calling twice, didn’t receive any for over five hours. We had to go down to the lobby to use the restroom, which was frustrating and inconvenient.

Wonderful stay at the Sheraton Lake Como. Hotel and restaurant staff were professional, friendly and willing to respond to any request. Property was clean, quiet and located in a great location. Room was comfortable, clean and up to date. Only knock was the cleaning staff failed to refill body wash and conditioner dispensers in the shower. Didn’t notice until the last day when showering! Should not have happened. All other aspects of housekeeping staff were excellent. Overall it was a great place to stay while visiting Lake Como.

An expensive meal in a morgue

Hotels is what you would expect for the price. The problem is the staff, in the posh restaurant. Too young, inexperienced and seemed scared of the customer. The result is an expensive meal in a morgue where cutlery is thrown down on the table and you have to say “no” five times to the pricey wine list. Food was good - the staff let the chef down. So my advice is stay but eat in the cheaper restaurant.

We stayed here and at the Grand Imperiale. This is by far a superior experience. The Sheraton is a much more modern facility and was renovated recently-so if you need the old-world Como feel don’t stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The Sheraton has a very nice pool area with nice chairs and good service. We didn’t eat here but the restaurants looked good, had great atmosphere and were busy.
We really enjoyed where the Sheraton was located. Easy walk to lots of dining, shopping in Cernobbio (10-15m walk)

Terrible experience at Sheraton Lake Como hotel

There was a piece of raw salami in the refrigerator. The phone panel was full of dust. I tripped on the area rug twice; it wasn't laid flat. The basin in the bathroom didn't drain. The food at the poolside restaurant was skimpy and average. Housekeepers made noise about 8:30 am and parked their supplies next to our room and I asked for a quite room location. We went to the spa and the jacuzzi was cool. There were workmen fixing something at the pool at the same time. They were banging. We left the jacuzzi to enter the pool which was the same temperature as the jacuzzi. The property needs updating and renovation and the cleanliness is sub par. A few other guests agree with my experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Concierge was terrible and quickly told the restaurant in the property (kitchen) was fully booked, so I proceeded to find multiple reservations at the Fork website within minutes of being told they had no availability. Most of the staff spoke very good English.

We had to be picked up by bus because the hotel would not call a taxi for us. Hotel is not well kept…our toilet seat was falling off as well as mold in the shower and on the “balcony.”. There are NO good views of the lake from here. We left early.

Great staff and good location, we had a problem with the hotel taxi not picking us up from station. There was a lot of noise around the pool area as an Alnovis event guests was allowed to make lots of noise and generally act very badly.
Could not fault the hotel staff , lovely pool and food good.

Very good hotel but located a long way from the town center. No transport from the railway station and cabs were almost impossible to find. Good boat connections but that doesn’t help if you are new to the area and just arriving. Staff was very friendly and food was good but not great and priced 5-star but only 3 at best. Limited outside options for dining unless you want to take boat to Como Lago.

It was a bad experience and I don’t think I would want to stay at the hotel again
The Air conditioner was not working in our room and despite our complaint they did not rectify and it was very hot .
The last day they shifted us to another room and promised to shift our luggage - which they did not do.
We returned to the hotel at 10 PM and don’t find our luggage in the room . It was in storage

Disappointing stay

we were disappointed with this stay. When we arrived we were give an upgrade as I am a member of the Marriot club.

The room was right behind the lifts and whenever anyone had luggage coming out of the lift we heard the noise. Especially the staff bringing all the cleaning and new linen etc trolley every morning.

The linen trolley was then “bumped” up against the opposite wall that we also heard.

Our room on level 2 was above the stairs and bar area below. On the last night a conference arrived and we heard all the nose from downstairs until the bar closed.

We could hear noise from the unit above from walking and moving furniture around.

The room was not clean. I had to “clean” the toilet from stains. The toilet seat was broken and didn’t sit right, the shower had mould in spots, the shower door hinge was too tight and scraped every time you opened it (I was worried it would smash).

Then the website advertising of the property. It is not on Como Lake. It is 10 minute walk to the wharf (which they even said to us was just straight opposite the hotel by staff when we arrived - it isn’t). Photos show the water. It’s nowhere near the waterfront. I assume the only views would be from the top level.

Then the price. We paid over 330 euro for the first few nights and then 400 for the last night.

When we left and mentioned to the staff all they said was “sorry” and then proceeded to give me the bill. No interrogation of what I said, disgraceful.

I was disappointed that it was not possible to swim in Lake Como. The hotel was also too far away from the center of Como and we were not informed about the free shuttle service. It was difficult to get back to the hotel after having dinner in Como. The breakfast room was very crowed.

Wouldn’t go there again.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and Resturant are relaxing and quiet. I was very disappointed with the lack of any view other than a white roof covering our window. I had booked back in February, we arrived early for check in and yet without any indication that the room windows would be blocked. My daughter had booked the same room yet they were on the 2nd floor with a small balcony and hill view. I was here to celebrate my sons wedding, so this room was a big disappointment to the weekend. I enquired about a change but other than moving the 2nd day to a room with twin beds or upgrading, nothing could be done. It should be advertised at booking that these rooms have a blocked view. If I had known, I never would have booked the room.

Soulless corporate hotel - avoid if you can

Really disappointed. Will not be coming back and I am not recommending it. Here is way:
* I had spoken to them a few days ago to secure a room with a flat, walk in shower for my partner who has mobility issues. I was promised that I will be given a room on the fifth floor. When I arrived, the receptionist told me that they couldn't find any notes of the conversation and that the only room they had was the one that I was given (the shower had one big step to go in)
* Not the most friendly staff on the reception. They should try not to look so miserable and smile some times.
* It seems they are doing a lot of events (weddings etc.) for British tourists. They even had a sign that they broadcast Sky sports and football
* Very corporate feel - rather soulless. Avoid it like hell if you want to really feel that you in Lake Como and not in Frankfurt, Germany
* Very expensive parking - €35!!
* Very expensive hotel for what it offers. I would suggest that you try the Hilton or somewhere else that you get value for your money.

Good points:
* Some of the staff were exceptional helpful e.g. Giorgia working in the bar
* Most of the staff were polite and helpful (apart from the miserable receptionists)
* Nice pool area

The elevators are very slow so this should be looked at. Gusto, I know is inside, was very infrenquently used. You should look at changing the menu but assume it is used more in the colder months. Pool area very nice and food was good and front desk service was very good.

Great hotel in beautiful grounds with a fabulous swimming pool and amazing huge jacuzzi. However, it is over three miles from central Como, which makes it a bit remote unless you want to stay on the property all the time, though there are buses and a boat pier quite close by.
Extremely good breakfast buffet, and the hotel is well maintained, and the front desk staff are excellent. The maid service in the rooms sometimes falls below the standard you would expect at a hotel of this quality (and price!!). During our five-night stay we regularly found that some towels were not changed, soap wasn't replaced, tea, coffee and milk were not replenished, and the toilet paper was appalling!
Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay.

Good location , easy to get to como with ferry closeby . A supermarket just round the corner of the hotel - was helpful indeed.
Comfortable beds ,good amenities.
Although would have liked to have toothbrush/shaving kit etc but that’s ok.
Our toilet sink was blocking so asked for a room change and it was done quite fast .
The new room had the shower drain blocking , but decided not to make a fuss. So the shower experience wasn’t as good .
We dined at the Kitchen restaurant , liked the cod fish. Nice restaurant to have a meal.
Havent tried the other restaurant, Gusto, so unable to comment .
Overall good hotel , would recommend.

Our biggest disappointment was to see that the hotel is not at all by the lake as it was advertised by photos on the Hotels.com website. Additionally it was not mentioned on the website that on-site parking will be charged. We were surprised and disappointed to learn that we had to pay for parking 18 Euros per day.
Apart from this we found the room was very spacious; hotel facilities clean and staff was very friendly and helpful.

We made a last-minute decision to escape the Dubai summer sun for a while and stayed at the hotel for 9 days/nights.

Location: Really good. Not far to Como, very close to the ferry, only two minutes from the lake. Not being right on the lake meant more grounds, so a nice big pool for the kids to play in and a large outdoor restaurant/dining area.

Amenities: Pretty good. Nice pool, small but decent gym and all the stuff you would expect at a Sheraton (WiFi, business centre etc)

Dining: The breakfast buffet inside the hotel was pretty good. The service in the outdoor pool/deck/dining area was TERRIBLE and the food was poor. It was a shame, as if the service was better they would make way more money. We gave up ordering drinks numerous times as it was taking too long....

All in all, it was OK. At $330/night I would have expected better than OK, but we had a great time nonetheless.

Would we go back? Nah

The Sheraton Lake Como is a lovey property located a short ferry ride from Como Center. The rooms are spacious and clean with all amenities. The buffet breakfast had a huge selection including an omelette station, a juicer, various pastries, yogurts and fruit.
The pool and outdoor facilities are beautiful. The Sheraton might be inconvenient if you want to be right in the middle of Como but we loved being in a quieter location.
