The room was dirty (stains on blankets), there was no iron or ironing board in the room (thankfully I brought my own), and the shower only provided piping hot water and nothing else (at least in my room). If you are looking for a cheap inexpensive hotel in the Tampa area, then I recommend this hotel. However, you are getting what you paid for.

I hate to do this to a family business but I went in on Friday for one night and unfortunately the first room we had smelled of cigarettes and the bedsheets were dirty. We complained and they gave us a more renovated room but the cigarette smell was even stronger. We decided to leave the property and stay at a holiday inn. I do think they are working hard to renovate the property but it’s just not there yet.

Was in a very sketchy area. A lot of homeless living in hotel or around hotel. Was so uncomfortable with accommodation that we didn’t stay entire night due to not feeling safe. Room beside ours had been smashed down. They wanted a security deposit of 50$ that I was given back on inspection of no damage.

One thin blanket for each bed. No alarm clock. Bathroom toilet had grime or paint all over it. Main door did not seal along the bottom. Area surrounding the hotel did not seem welcoming - very unsettling crowd hanging out around hotel.

DO NOT BOOK!!! Horrible hotel. Riff raff everywhere. Smells like weed and cigarettes outside and inside the room. Elevator stopped working. Loud noise and yelling all night. Talked to staff about cancelling second night and they would not refund my second night. Housekeeping did not clean our room. When asked, the front desk said you have to request housekeeping. The neighborhood is terrible and I was very uncomfortable leaving anything valuable in my truck.

Called to verify it was the correct hotel front desk said yes when I got there it was the wrong hotel. Still looked at room they where old, beds squished looked dirty. Did not reflect the price which was over priced for the old dirty look
Funny looking people around the room door making you feel unsafe
. Called hotel and cancelled reflecting the bad service They never cancelled for me then they try to charge me cancellation fee. Not cool.

The expectation under delivered. The only convenience is distance to Bush Gardens, but will definitely not ever reserve this location again.
Not a family safe location at all and most \"guests\" are for workers... if you know you know. They collect a resort fee... but there are no resort amenities and the property is run down...not in good shape. This is a 1 star property.

Blasting music after quiet hours, foul language and foul music. Arguing outside my hotel door and swearing to their god. Staff didn’t respond when called for the disturbance, cigs all over the floor and the room smelled like it. The corners where the ice machine and vending machines are located smells like urine. Overall not a recommendation.

As a solo traveler looking for a low price option on Expedia that's close to the casino this seemed like a decent choice. The cleanliness and furniture was subpar but that was expected based on price and reviews. AC unit worked great, water pressure was good, mini fridge was clean and functional. The surrounding area has a high frequency loitering and the mini mart near the hotel is more of a hangout for locals.

The hotel didn't look anything like the picture. Experian said that the hotel wouldn't release all the refund just the 2 nights.So I have a partial refund.lfeel li like was lied to about this a hotel. It was dangerous for me and my family drugs and prostitutes where going in and out.I feel like I deserve the whole amount I only checked in for 30min-1hr and left because I felt threatened.Dugs, prostitutes, people living there, beds doesn't match the pictures, the pictures don't match at all except the pool.

I will not be able to rate the services or the room not even cleanliness. Upon arrival we were greeted by Security who advised that safety was an issue. I would have to agree since there are at least 30 individuals lying in the street homeless. There are no restaurant or food chain or even shopping center close by. The roadway Inn is not recommended for anyone for short term shade.

Absolutely Disgusting and Unsafe. This Place Should Be Removed from Expedia’s Listings

I have never been more appalled by a hotel stay in my life. The Rodeway Inn Near Ybor City is not just outdated. It is filthy, falling apart, and completely unsafe. The room we were given was in horrible condition: dirty floors, crumbling walls with actual holes, peeling paint, moldy curtains, and a constant stench of stale cigarette smoke coming from the vents. The lighting was so dim we could barely see anything, and to make it worse, the shower head and faucet handle literally fell off, making it impossible to take a proper shower.

There were cockroaches crawling around the room, which made even being there feel like a health risk. And as if that wasn't enough, there was a group of clearly high or intoxicated individuals loitering around the entrance of the building. We felt incredibly unsafe even walking to the room

We decided to leave a full night early because it was simply not safe or healthy to stay there any longer. When we requested a refund for the second night, which we did not even stay for, Expedia tried to contact the property. The manager gave excuse after excuse and ultimately refused to approve the refund. I didn’t even ask for the full stay to be refunded, just one night! That was apparently too much to ask.

It has now been over 2 weeks and I’m still fighting for a refund of just $90. That this property is still listed on Expedia is honestly shocking.

.Driving into the location, there are homeless people and people on drugs hanging out outside by a fence. Construction going on as well. Checking in, there was a roach on the wall that came down to the floor that I kept having to watch as I’m talking to the receptionist through thick glass that makes it hard to hear. When asked if there was a problem “out there”, I explained there was a roach crawling. He stared at me, never acknowledged what I said, and proceeded to hang me the key card and gave directions to my room.
The elevator smelled like pee. The room was very dark. The only think that was neat was the bed. Lamp with no lampshade on the dresser. There were rust colored stains on the plastic toilet lid. The bottom of the bathroom door was broken in pieces. We didn’t spend another minute in that room. We took our things and left. We only came back to sleep on top of the bed after our night out at 6am to get sone rest before driving back home. Will never come back.

Overall was super dirty and tons of things were broken. The lock on the door was broken. They had it rigged up so that it would work. Floors were disgusting, did not trust enough to walk on the floor barefoot. Curtains and blankets had holes burnt into them. And the room smelled really bad. Horror Movie Roach Motel

The room was damp, musty, and it smelled. Bathroom along with tub, tile, toilet, sink were old and moldy. TV did not work, lights did not work except for bathroom and one small lamp. The laminate floors were dirty and sticky under my shoes. Bed was lumpy, sheets extremely moist and smelly. Unable to shower because it was dirty and towels were moist and smelled. The entire motel was surrounded by homeless and addicts including some using the pool to bathe themselves. We decided to check out at 2:00 am because the conditions and the surrounding activities at this motel were unbearable.

Good rate for a clean stay

The room was clean and fairly comfortable. The hotel seemed to be undergoing rennovations or upgrades because there was painting in progress and furniture was relatively new. It was a good price for the stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This place is horrible! I showed up at the property and just outside the property was about 30-50 undesirable types hanging about. The front doors to the hotel lobby were closed and a sign said to go to the \"NIGHT WINDOW\", there was no security and people were coming in off the street and dodging around. I refused to stay at this location and would recommend to all to do the same. This place just didn'tlook safe at all.

Death trap/Drug Haven

This place is a drug haven, had to pay a deposit for I don’t know what, the room was all tore up. Tile in shower looked like it was going to fall out on me. Front of drawers on bedside table was tore out, curtains were barely hanging. None of the coke machines worked, you could smell marijauna every where. It’s a real bad area. People being robbed in front of me and don’t let me forget to mention people knocking on your door all hours of the night. I’m a single elderly lady and I was scared, no lobby to stand in just a window where you check in and pay deposit. No security at all ! I’m waiting for it to get light outside so I can call a Uber and get out of this death trap. I’m going through stage 4 cancer and traveled by air to see my mother in a memory care, cancer is the least of my worries right now.

Was jot pleased at all. I booked a double queen bed room and got full size beds. No blankets on the bed folded and put at corner of bed. Floors didn’t look to be vacuumed. The bathroom was nasty and had dead roaches in the tub. One wash cloth and one towel for 4 guest. The pool needed to be shocked. And couldn’t gain access to it till late in the afternoon after asking for it to be unlocked on several occasions.the outside area was far from being clean and you had drug dealers coming in and out along with numerous of people drinking and carrying on outside the fence to the hotel and n fence to the point that police were called. Not a very safe place for a family especially children would not recommend to anyone and I should of actually ask for a refund and found somewhere else to stay.

Floors were dirty.
Walls were dirty. Sink was fallung apart.
Bathtub/shower had mold in the silicon.
The bed cover had cigarette burns/ holes in it.
People outside smoking weed, loud offensive music til after midnight.
Remote control for TV broke, held together with tape.
Stated there was a laundry and continental breakfast, was told NO due to remodeling. ( wasn't remodeling)
