Large, modern, comfortable rooms within easy reach of many of the city’s attractions. My deluxe room had a large patio with a beautiful view over the city, and an excellent buffet breakfast was included. I would happily stay here again.

We liked location, price, cleanliness . Staff was very friendly. We got changed room with no problem. In first our room the faucet got broken and we could not shut the water. In another room both faucets were not OK. Top holders were falling down on the floor, once it hit my leg. But worked somehow. Otherwise, we got no problem.

A nice, clean place very near the university. The minibar was not restocked every day, so things ran out, but other than that, everything was fine. It is on a nice tree-lined street in a residential area; that meant one night a loud party outside my window, but the party finished up early and was not really a problem.

Very small room,Not so comfortable, the bathroom water leaked and filled the floor The hotel little bit far from center so need taxi anywhere you want to gowith water so not so comfortable. In any case, if you decide to go for this hotel, ask for rooms on high floors rather than a corner room .the staff very nice

Lovely Hotel - Recommended

I booked a number of rooms at the Orion for myself & friends as we were attending the Georgia v Wales football match. I was in contact with the hotel before our arrival to arrange rooms & airport transfers and everything I requested was done with the minimum of fuss. The hotel itself is located in the north of the city & although it is a little way from some of the main tourist areas getting around is both easy & inexpensive. There are a number of good bars & restaurants within easy walking distance so finding something decent to eat & drink is very straightforward.

The hotel itself is clean & comfortable and the breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The hotel bar is good & is open 24 hours which is a bonus if you want a late drink, although from my experience there are plenty of establishments in the city to cater for these needs!

Overall a really nice hotel in a good location with lovely staff. I would certainly stay here again & would recommend the Orion to anyone who is visits the nice & friendly city of Tbilisi.

Functional 3-star hotel with no frills

Second time I've stayed here. The location is fine, unless you want to be close to Freedom Square and Old Town (about 30+ minute walk away).

wi-fi is poor (big issue for a business traveller), often dropping off and/or very slow. Clean and comfortable room, good size, good shower, breakfast quality average but a good selection. Reception staff helpful.

I think of this hotel as a bed for the night and little more.

Booking means nothing at this hotel.

After a long drive from Batumi, I was told that my booking for two rooms has been cancelled because they overbooked the hotel.
There were 6 of us and I booked the hotel 3 months ago.
I was asked to go to the Orion hotel in old Town to get two rooms.
I had a rental car and was under time pressure to return it on time. Also, we were all tired and wanted to get the rooms ASAP to get some rest.
In a congested traffic we had to drive to Orion in old Town that had the rooms but the quality of the hotel and the area was not the same at all.
We were given a 2 star hotel instead of a 4 star that we had originally booked.
Also, there was not restaurant in old Town.
So, we had to take a taxi to go back to the are of the original Orion Hotel to have a dinner.
Over all very bad experience.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
There are more options for the same price.

I am very pleased

The located is awesome, right in the old city. Very close to majority of the sights! Stuff was friendly, room was very modern, had a balcony and everything was very clean and neat. The only thing that concerned me was a tv.y dad was just scrolling through the channels and occasionally found himself watching adult vids. That was the only awkward moment. WE LAUGHED A LOT THOUGH:) so if you travel with kids - watch out haha. Overall, stay was great, if I come back to Tbilisi, I would stay here again

Clean, pleasant, comfortable hotel

I enjoyed my stay at Orion Tbilisi very much. The staff arranged to have a driver meet me at the airport, which was a great way to arrive after a long journey. The room was very spacious and well furnished, with heated towel racks and reliable wifi. The breakfast each morning was delicious and varied.

Breakfast is good. Staffs are friendly, eventhough not all staffs speak English. When I called and they come to serve me immediately. Bathtub'a drainage worked slowly. TV worked sometimes but they fixed it. Door lock battery was broken but they replaced the battery. Safety box had to reset it. Even I encountered minor problems but
I had no complaints. They fixed them right away with professional services . I like them.

A Hotel that is going to divide opinion

This hotel is always going to result in many different opinions. The pluses; large room, large bathroom, modern building, reasonable rate, good breakfast - but... Negatives; its some distance from the centre - about a 20 minute walk, the room may not be cleaned, breakfast starts between 7,30 to 8 but can vary, they sometimes forget to turn the heat on to warm breakfast. Front staff are helpful, but overall there is not an impression of supervision or attention to detail. That extends to the building itself. For example in the bathroom there is a small shelf full of shampoo, toothbrushes and care packets but no conditioner. This is nowhere to place your own personal things There is a shaving mirror, but no power point in the bathroom. Within the room the airconditioning seems to cool to about 20C and could not care less what you might set it at. That created a problem for me in that beds have a doona only and I found that to be extremely hot. Waking every morning in a sweat is not pleasant. There is a lounge, but strong encouragement is given to use room service and that is expensive. There are not many restaurants or cafes in the area, but on the next corner up the hill is a very well stocked mini-mart - its the place that looks like a liquor store. -, and the staff have a basic grasp of English so you can try your luck at buying some cheeses. The exchange place at the bottom of the hill offers a very good rate indeed. on most currencies.Its one of the best in Tbilisi.

I have stayed for four nights in the hotel two night each time as I have in between travelled to Butami. The first two night was fine as the room was specious but air condition was not working for the whole hotel only heater was on. On the second time the room was too small and could not move easily as well as the toilet though informed the reception but said no room available. The coridour was smelt bad.

Cozy hotel in the city center

The staff was very warm and welcoming, any minor issues such as opening the room safe and help with operating the TV (satellite channels) resolved in a minute after the request. The room was very clean and ready upon arrival, checking-in was quick and efficient.
The room cleanliness was maintained very well during my 8-day stay and my day was never interrupted by the cleaning staff. Having a good size balcony overlooking the street was a plus.
The breakfast was abundant with very tasty Georgian dishes, even khinkali (the Georgian dumplings) was offered one morning.

I stayed 4 days in Tbilisi on a business trip and used the Orion. It was a good experience with the hotel being clean and staff friendly. The hotel is not as centrally located as I was led to believe from the presentation.

Nice hotel, friendly staff.

The Orion hotel was very nice. It looked just like the photos and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had a standard room with balcony which overlooked the road and didn't really have a view, but the room was clean and updated so worked well. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise and included a big selection with both cold and hot foods. The location was ok, there were restaurants and shops within walking distance and it was a short taxi ride to most tourist spots. Overall a great stay and I'd definitely book here again!

Sweating in Tbilisi

I stayed for 3 nights non-consecutively. The hotel had lost the first 2 nights reservation. Luckily, they had a single room and it was a quite pleasant stay. The breakfast was good with a great selection of fresh fruits. Unfortunately, when I returned for an additional night, I did not have a good experience. The front desk staff speak English well. I was given a larger room. I was tired and should have gone back down to question why a larger room. It was very hot. It did cool off during the night, but in the morning by the time I left at 11:30 it was a sauna. The entire side of the room is windows and the AC cannot keep it cool. Please note that I live in Phoenix, AZ and keep my AC on 80-82 so I am used to warmth. This was miserable. Downstairs at check-out was confusing and frustrating. They said my reservation was for an additional 2 days. Then they charged me more for the sauna room. I was told they had my reservation from online requesting a double room (true) and for 3 days (untrue). It was completely random. And I am one person not 2 so I should not have to pay for 2 breakfast. They did agree to that. Overall The décor is nice, the staff has good English. But the location and AC are not good. The towels in bathroom had old blue toothpaste on them and long brown hair on floor.

Highly recommended

Great place to stay, with extremely comfortable rooms (with excellent bathrooms and seriously cheap minibar!). Probably the widest range of breakfast options I've seen in a hotel. About 1 km from the main street in Tbilisi by foot, which isn't bad at all (and if you're not a fan of walking, taxis aren't exactly expensive). Recommended.

The desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was in perfect condition although the air conditioning didn't work. When I called the front desk they sent someone up who looked at the thermostat, jiggled with it, but couldn't get it working. He then shrugged his shoulders and walked out of the room, and there was no further follow up. The breakfast was great, Internet worked fine but the hotel is not walking distance from the old part of city. You pretty much need a taxi to go anywhere.

TV was not working when checked in and took more than 2 hours them to send someone to fix it. but it wasn't working in the morning again. despite, it is a clean hotel and would definitely stay again.

Unexpected gem

Excellent hotel. The hotel in on a side street off a main drive in the city. So it is quiet but still centrally located. The room was pristine, the bathroom was modern and a welcome sight. The room was fairly good size for an Eastern European hotel. Ihe room has a small mini fridge, but we wanted to eat out and explore the city. There are lots of markets nearby so we did use the fridge to keep some drinks and food cool. The staff was always helpful and the real fast was free served daily with a lot of decent choices. It's Europe so don't expect eggs and bacon everyday. We happened to be there on the hotels one year anniversary and they delivered champagne and two glasses to the room with a thank you letter while we were out. That was unexpected and nice. The hotel is less expensive than many other hotels in the city with much more to offer. I give it my highest recommendation .

Booked 3 nights at Orion last minute. Price was right but I wasn't sure what I'd get. I was greeted with smiles from arrival to departure. Room was a nice size with large balcony. All was super clean, beds firm & comfortable. The bathroom was modern & again super clean. Internet is available & free throughout hotel. Room service menu is very good & even the mini bar had a nice selection. The best part is the breakfast. Definitely one of the better breakfasts I've had at most hotels. I can't say enough about the smiling, professional and helpful hotel staff even the Travel Agency at hotel are extremely accommodating. I booked a ride to Davit Gareja when nothing organised was available, and they made it happen for me with a car & driver. Location is not in old town area. It's approximately 3 kms walk to the old town. I walked it many times and didn't even realise distance because it's a busy avenue with lots to see & do. Major museums on the way to Freedom Square. Check out \"MOMA\" with beautiful works of Georgian contemporary artist Zurab Tsereteli. Cabs are very cheap in Tbilisi. 5 Lari ($3) gets you from A to B. Also FYI, a cab to/from the airport to Tblisi is a set 25 Lari ($15) ENJOY TBILISI & the ORION

Room is big and nicely firnished, bathroom is very comfortable. Staff is very helpfull. Breakfast was good and very tasty. The only concern is location, from the hotel to the city center walking is around 30 minutes. Overall very nice experience, I would advice to stay.

After reading some reviews online I went in with an open mind. This hotel was everything that the positive reviews claimed. The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms were pretty spacious. While it isnt in the heart of the city it is walking distance to everything you need... I look forward to staying there again.

가격대비 굉장히 만족스러웠습니다.
외관은 조그마해서 걱정했는데 방이 생각보다 넓고 무엇보다 깨끗했습니다. 매일 받았던 룸클리닝도 잘해주셨구요~
조식부페도 만족스러웠습니다~ 조식이 없었으면 매우 아쉬웠을 것입니다~
다음에 또 트빌리시를 오게된다면 다시 숙박할 것입니다!

Located in one of the nicest parts of Tbilisi with shops, cafes and restaurants around and quite as well. By the same time central walking distancw from the main shopping street. Nice staff, cozy room with balcony. Breakfast well balanced and locally tasty. Highly recommend without concern.

Modernes Hotel mit europäischem Standard

Wir hatten ein 3 Bett-Zimmer mit viel Platz und guter. Ausstattung.
Die Lage ist prima, ruhig und nur 10 Min walking distance zur Rustaveli Station.
In der „LoungeBar“ im 2.OG wird zu nahezu jeder Tageszeit tolles Georgisches Essen gereicht. Günstige Preise. Und der Wein ist auch nicht schlecht.
Zum Frühstück wird ein üppiges Buffet angeboten.
Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen wieder!
