Since our arrival, we have encountered several significant discrepancies between our booking and the actual experience provided.

First, although we booked an all-inclusive package, we were informed upon arrival that we are required to pay for any food items or drinks left unfinished from the menu. This contradicts the standard understanding of an all-inclusive agreement. Furthermore, we were moved to an Ocean View Villa rather than the Sunset Beach Villa we specifically reserved.

Most concerning is the safety and transparency of the resort. On arrival, we were asked to sign a liability waiver stating that the resort would not be responsible for our safety. This is particularly alarming given the high presence of bats throughout the island.

Given these misleading terms and the request to waive basic safety responsibilities, I am deeply dissatisfied with this experience

Had a sunrise room, it was lovely though may put some people off who don't like insects in your bathroom as it is outside. Food was great, staff was lovely. House reef is really good, accessible from all sides. We saw reef sharks, eagle rays and devil rays on the house reef. Manta ray excursion is 30 min boat ride.

It was nice. Did have to request for our pool to be cleaned and the deccing wasn’t cleaned during our stay therefore made it a bit uncomfortable to use our private pool. Out shower was also full of leaves.

Our room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days although we left the sign on the door requesting for it to be done. After speaking with reception the finally did clean our room.

It was advertised as 2 restaurant all inclusive but one restaurant was closed

Loved the included breakfast, and the lemongrass electrolytes in the gym! The gym itself was nice too. Great snorkeling right there. Gorgeous beach, sunrises and sunsets! Island is small, but lovely. Staff very helpful, attentive, and accommodating—even when I requested to switch rooms. They also helped sort out my lost luggage with the airport. They have a desk at the airport where they escort you out to the boat, all very simple. They were able to modify meals for allergies. Biggest down side was that the restaurants were closed from 2-7pm which was tough when recovering from jet lag. Otherwise, a great relaxing option close to Male.

Great place to get away for a couple days. Really happy we paid to stay in a villa - it was unfortunately raining while we were here so the extra space was very appreciate.

All to nclusive is definitely the way to go. The buffet was awesome.

Would have been nice if there was a larger pool for all guests to use. The bubble tub on our patio was nice and probably never needs but it need it doing our rainy stay to be usable.

This is an ideal island to spend a night or two but not a two week holiday , there is very little to do and the water is so shallow around the island it is hard to swim above the coral , there is also almost no available beach

Everything and everyone there were super helpful and polite.
My biggest objection and draw back is the beach service which DOES NOT EXIST! There are no towels offered at the beach you bring the ones provided in your room, there are no pads on the beach loungers, glasses and garbage simply accumulate on the small tables until you remove them! Food was good, room was comfortable, BUT Maldives with lousy beach service is no Maldives!!

DISAPPOINTED WITH MALAHINI KUDA BANDOS

We’ve found the front desk customer service was very poor as our booking was included free transfers from Male but not with Expedia Booking according to them even though it’s in our bookings. That’s already ruined our start of the vacation. Then on check out they wanted to charge the Pringle chip which we didn’t even have them. I believe one of their stuff ate them cuz the house keeping guy asked us to leaving our room door open for cleaning, so anyone can go into our room.
However the Malaga team did a good job from kitchen to the servers, Anil, Eni, Amaya, anesa,Salina, Supun & Juman. The buffet food was very well prepared & taste so good unless most of other buffet food either being too salty or too sweet.
Not sure why it was being advertised newly renovated cuz one night I needed to carry an umbrella going to the bathroom. I almost fell down due to the floor was very slippery. Finally we got to moved to another room.

We’ve tried not to have this negativity to affect the rest of our experience in Maldives. We are island hopping for 3 weeks. This is our first island.

The beach was too rocky & stepping into water the smell of sewage to make unbearable to stay too long. The video with white sand blue water are not quite true though.

We were very disappointed! I will give Malahini 0 star without Malaga Team.

Nice resort, big, clean and very comfy rooms. Beach chairs are quite hard, it would be good if they had some cushions. Very convenient to travel from/to Male airport. Buffet food is nice but a bit bland, not much fish or local food. Very good vegetarian options. Beach is ok, water can get a bit murky at times and there are lots of rocks so beach shoes are recommended.

The best part of this resort, asides from the per beauty of the island is the people that work there. From Imthyaz, Vanesa, Eni, the Marine Hub Crew, they make you feel so welcomed and are so kind. This time, I also enjoyed the excursions, the food is amazing. I'll keep coming back to Malahini.

Dissapointing stay...misleading Hotels.com info...

We went as a couple for a couple of days based on the Hotels.com listing that the Hotel had pool and bath tubs for all visitors. Upon arriving, we were informed that there were no public pools or bath tubs and if we wanted one, we have to pay another $250 per night to upgrade the rooms to villa with a pool. Since it is an island you cannot even turn around despite the misleading information on the Hotels.com website.We would have definitely chosen another property had we known that there were no public pools. Having said that, the kitchen chefs were excellent and made special effort to prepare vegetarian meals for us.

The staff were fabulous and work so very, very hard. They do everything with a smile. The island is beautiful and close to Male so short transfer. Something to be mindful off when booking an island in the Maldives, if you don't want a long transfer after a long flight.

all staffs are very friendly & attentive, love that vibes. thanks Dr Amir, recept & concierge staffs & Novi, Al Bin, Yam, very hard working staffs. Snorkeling is the best activity, we saw blacktip reef sharks, turtle & many fishes. wave & current is strong. hotel rooms are a bit old but well maintained. 15 min walk can complete a round island. we enjoyed our holiday a lot, it been long await holiday within 2 years covid decade. All inclusive package cost USD 500 per night during 27 to 31 Dec, all good except Beach bar available only beer, no other alcohol beverage. PCR test USD 115, speed boat transfer USD 85. Nature island parrots, birds, bats, beautiful clear water, ocean, white sand, sea, lovely holiday.

The services at Malahini Kuda Bandos was very poor to say the least. There was never enough bath towels in the rooms and you have to continue to call hotel reception for towel change. They rationed water in this island, you have to pay for water once you use up 2 bottles of water in a day. The only thing we liked was the island had a lot of water sports activities so that was nice to see.

It was a small island, but at no time was I ever board. I spent plenty of time just relaxing, but I went diving for the first time, snorkeling with stingrays, and they had a bunch of other options available. You can be as relaxed or as adventurous as you want. I would definitely recommend.

The Malahini Resort is a gem because of the staff working there. They made my stay very enjoyable and memorable After 2 days of traveling from US to Maldives, I arrived early and was checked in into my room early. Inthi and Nyaz were Very accommodating. Inthi stole my heart with his humor and mad dancing skills; he leads a Sunday Zumba class on the beach. He is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and made my day every day with his positive attitude and infectious smile.

I booked a Garden room, but because of some construction noise was upgraded to a private villa with no extra charge. This was a perfect gift for my birthday. Thank you to the front manager for making it happen! The resort staff celebrated my Bday with me and made me feel special

The natural beauty of the island and marine life are breathtaking. Every day I was watching colorful fish, harmless sharks and sting rays from a pier. Life cannot be better than that!

Recommend to bring water shoes since there are too many dead coral pieces on the beach and in the sea.

I only booked breakfast and it was delicious but mostly with same food choices. However, the Blue bar provided varitery of food for my early dinner. The chef prepared food with highest quality and the bar staff was excellent!!

It is also very convenient to the airport so you don't have to worry about a long trip to your island after a long flight. Would definitely recommend as a nice getaway!

Fantastic staff and service. The food is really good and creative with different style cuisine every day. Also arranged birthday dinner on the beach for my fiancé which was amazing. Beautiful location where you are o. The ocean with beautiful views and ten meters to the water. Good snorkeling around the island but also great snorkeling tours arranged by the team. The resort is wonderful, it has everything that you could need, and is small so you can get to it easily. I love the family vibe it has to it, the staff are so friendly and have a great memory of who you are. If you are after
pure relaxation with minimal effort then this is perfect. There is no pool, so you would have to be ok with sunbathing on the beach. In the Maldives, is there any other way you'd want to do it?! Snorkeling is seconds away from the beach and it is wonderful. Will definitely be coming again

1) I believe that the advertisment is very misleading, as the overall features of the property do not correspond to the actual status of the resort

2) the overall level of cleaning is poor which also result in the production of bad smell from the bathrooms and in the front part of beach in corrispondence with the bar .

3) The status of the beach and immediate entrance of the water is hardly useful for swimming (irrespectvily of the water and weather conditions).

4) the mahini is not a family friendly property as predominantly indicated on your promotional material.

5) the construction work by my room was bothersome!

6) I feel very frustrated because of all the above has ruined my holidays.

The staff make the stay, lovely people and lovely food. The chefs are great and provide a high level of quality and variety. We also were impressed at how seriously the team are about the natural environment. No walking on coral, clean ups and good awareness.
Compare this to Paradise Island which we went to for a week after our stay, who had no or very limited info on the protection of the reefs and plastic use etc. Also the food is so much better in Malahini, we should have stayed longer.
The beach bungalows are a must, we stayed in them as well as the garden rooms, which are good rooms, but a bit on top of each other and dark. But we only slept there, most of the time was spent on the beach or in the water, which is why you go to the Maldives!

malahini kuda bandos is a great property. the room we booked was a garden room, which was pretty spacious and clean. rooms have in-room slippers, umbrella for use in the hotel, coffee-tea and a minibar. a tv which has sufficient channels for viewing pleasure. staff are kind and courteous. special mention of akhil and kai at the buffet restaurant Maaga who are always smiling and friendly. the other staff at the restaurant and the blu bar are also very courteous and professional. the air-con works just fine. shower pressure is great and bed is very comfortable. do not leave food exposed in the room as its an island and attracts a lot of ants. the island is very clean. i hope the hotel will stop using single use plastic like bottled water and give glass bottles in the rooms and at the restaurants. once finished guests can refill. we could see so many guests who ordered bottled water in restaurant and left them behind consumed less than half. the housekeeping staff are slack. inspite of asking them our room wasnt serviced two days in a row. also beware of some of the eastern european tourists. we had an incident where we left our sunglasses on the dinner table to get food from the buffet and saw a family taking my sunglasses. also dont be shocked to see them walk around half naked in the restaurant barefeet with sand all over. i hope the hotel management can do somethin g about this. this property is great. book it with no hesitation

This was our honeymoon. The place is so beautiful to stay there for longer periods as well - we just planned to do nothing strict: relaxing, swimming, sun-bathin, snorkeling etc. We were so tried in the previous months so we thought that this place can be great!
You have to pay all-inclusive package in order to get e.g. drinking water for lunch and dinner. (This is not so usual!) The main part of the stuff is friendly and nice - the smaller group is money-hungry, too bland (confusing). The internet over WiFi is free but mainly unusable (OK, this is an island...)
Foods were mainly OK. The bed in the beach villa is great. The bathroom is outside! (You have to prepared for is)

A piece of paradise - a small island but everything is so conveniently set in the lavish green bushes and palms! The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean an well maintained. The food in the restaurant (we had all inclusive package) was tasty, the drinks in the bar most enjoyable- we went every day to watch the sunset. And we saw so many colorful fishes while snorkeling right by the shore, next to our villa! Just amazing- would love to come back or recommend to our friends.

Fantastic location just 15 minutes boat ride from the airport. A very small island which takes 10 minutes to walk around.Warm seas and great visibility. The buffet style restaurant is great and the menu varies daly. All of the staff at this resort are so so friendly and all speak very good English. We went AI and in the package we had a choice of a free dolphin cruise or snorkelling on a distant reef.
Also if you are AI you get free use 1hr per day of the paddle boats, SUP boards, wind surfs and snorkelling equipment.

The only negative comments is
1: that all the water sports you were given free life jackets apart from the snorkelling gear which you had to rent at an expensive cost daily.
This I find is crazy as it seams you can possibly drown with all activities but not snorkelling. So if you not a good swimmer or never snorkelled before I would recommend taking your own life vest as it would cost you a fortune to hire daily.
2: the WiFi signal is very bad in the rooms so if you wanting to use the Internet you would need to go into reception

The island is very small and there are limited activities here but that seems to suit most people just fine. We are an active group so each day we swam the 1.7km around the island, snorkelled, went to the fitness centre and undertook whatever water sports we could depending on whether the equipment would be made available to us or not by the staff.

The restaurant staff are very hard working and pleasant but I cannot say the same for the unhelpful and disinterested staff in the water sports centre. The excursions were grossly overpriced. The Manta excursion involved 6 of us crammed into a small speed boat for 4+ hours with no Mantas seen - the “guides” claiming “none around”. I know from experience you can’t see 30-40 meters depth to actually spot a Manta from the boat deck. The snorkelling excursion involved zero communication from the guide. No briefing, nothing .. not a word!

Many times we requested equipment (eg the SUPs) to hire we were told some lame excuse as to why we couldn’t hire it.

The food in the restaurant was excellent but be sure to purchase the all inclusive option.

This resort is affordably priced compared to other Maldives resorts. It is pretty and the snorkelling is quite good for fish and reef sharks.

This resort is a beautiful and affordable, high quality place to stay in the Maldives. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the beach is very well maintained and clean, the water, the views, and the activities are excellent.

The food at the bar is very good, especially the grouper and grilled tuna dishes were excellent. The drinks selection and quality were very pleasing. The restaurant food was bland and disappointing though. Also the wait staff, while eager to please, often did not take the time to understand what we were ordering and it took multiple questioning and extended waiting for food because they would not clarify what we ordered in English.

We took the tour to see the Manta Rays and the sand bar and that was a great afternoon, the boat guides were fantastic and helpful.

Overall I would not hesitate to stay at Malahini again but I will avoid the restaurant. The bar food is SOOOO much better.

It really is a gorgeous little island and well kept up resort.

In the Maldives, if you stay in a hotel that’s on its own island It doubles the price of the hotel, and if you go in peak weather season it also doubles the price of the hotel. So if you’re paying £200 per night, this hotel is roughly the equivalent of a £50 hotel. Which is pretty averagely good -That’s how I would describe this resort. We paid for a superior room and I felt conned, there’s is no drastic difference between a superior room and a normal room other than the price and the fact that it is ‘closer to the beach’... you’re on an island that takes 10 minutes to walk around... everything is close to the beach. We also decided to go for all inclusive, which I honestly don’t know if it was worth it or not, they only have maybe 4 choices of cocktail, also the ‘Bluu’ bar takes so long to get served that by the time you have your second drink in your hand, you’ve already sobered up. Being in all inclusive I was hoping that it would be quick and easy to get drinks but instead it seemed to take just as long. You have to wait for the bar man to go to a computer and print out a receipt for you to sign every time you want a drink, most all inclusives just give guests coloured wrist bands to indicate who’s all inclusive and it solves everything, it’s very over complicated and takes ages to get served. I didn’t get my money’s worth on drinks. The staff are really lovely, the food is great & the room is alright. But if I came to the Maldives again, I would go to somewhere better.

Malahini Paradise Island

Malahini is a beautiful resort.From the moment we landed at Male for our boat transfer to the hotel to day we sadly had to leave, everything was perfect.Staff,food, accommodation was perfect.We stayed for 10 days in beach villa 106 all inclusive which was kept spotless by Yeasin.The whole resort team work so hard to make everything perfect.Days were spent snorkeling (we saw so many different fish and even sharks) Chilling at Blu bar where the fab staff made us delicious drinks.Thanks to Dhanushka and the other guys for making us necklaces and birds out of palm leaves.Our last night we were treated to a 3 course evening meal for those who had a long stay, it was devine.Thank you Malahini team for making our holiday perfect and one that we will never forget

I stayed here for four days with my family.
The island is very small, but it has its own beaches and scenery. I am not tired of the food being changed every time, but I was a little bit disappointed that there were few branches of fruit. I had a lot of drinks in the blue bar because I paid for all-inclusive rates, but it was great.
The beach was so beautiful and there were enough sunbeds and net beds. We enjoyed snorkeling every day, and especially taking care of our daughter's birthday, which we requested for our reservation, gave us a very special memory. It's a recommended resort and I'm sure I'm willing to visit again.

Fabulous stay and lovely time

It was a fabulous stay at the resort.. we were given a upgraded sea beach villa, which is the main attraction of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and always eager to help.. the sea was just 10 steps away from the room, with lots of corals and sea life.. The food was great with some Indian variety.. In evening the blue bar gives the best entertainment for the guest.

Ultra friendly staff who always put smiles on their faces will greet you every day and they're prompt with any request that we had. There are a couple of snorkeling site around the resort, although we have to wait for good weather before jumping into the water. Beautiful place, beautiful beach, and always go for the all-inclusive for food and drinks whole day long, because you can't go anywhere else to look for food!

Pros: Amazing location, private island, near luxury comfort and amenities. Among the islands close to Male and hence the speedboat transfer took just 10 min and $85 round trip per head. The food was delicious and an elaborate, all-you-can-eat, buffet spread, free breakfast. It has it's in-house water sport kiosk with a rate card for every item. The water like rest of Maldives is crystal clear and turquoise blue. The white sand beach and the whole property is maintained very well and pristine clean.

Cons: Be ready to shell out some bucks if you didn't opt for the Full board option. A bottle of water or a glass of milk can cost you $5 (tax exclusive). They need the toiletries bag back, so remember not to throw it in with your luggage (lol). The property doesn't have a swimming pool, but shouldn't be much of concern when you have the vast Indian ocean all around you.

Paid for 3 occupancy for one of my booking only to realised 2 single beds were given instead of one king and one single bed as advertised. Being defensive they told us that it is up to them to decide king or 2 single. The other single bed was a SOFA BED and is not a real bed. prepared only 2 sets of amenities and towels instead of 3. No apology given for their mistake
Terrible hotel manager during check in and out.
After making payment for transfer and upgrade, they suddenly came to us and said one of the invoice wasn't settled. when we went to the counter, they showed us all 4 invoices which we just paid and argued with us by saying that no payment was made. took us 5 mins to argue that we in fact did make cash payment. no apology was given for their mistake. In fact there is another payment in which they wanted us to make but they did not print the invoice. Waited for another 5 mins. again no apology was made.

Housekeeping was really average. Amenities below average. No handtowels. no face towel. failed to replace beach towel after several request.

other friends who were staying at garden and deluxe room had water pressure problem.

Our luggage were wrongly loaded to the transfer. Hotel manager did not apologize instead blamed that the place we put the luggage in fact the luggage were carried and placed by the staff. Hotel manager was arguing with us furiously that no one received our call to amend our transfer time until one of his staff came over to admit that he did.

Restaurant is awful, expensive and buffet only. Food choice is not vary at all.
Atoll is too close to Male and the view is not the best.
To have clean towels and soap in the room we had to implore.
Our departure time from island was at 6pm. It was raining by 3 days and to obtain a late checkout we had to pay.

The staff customer service was very poor. We purchased all inclusive and they didn’t provide us with proper information as to what is included and what isn’t. Resulting in spending more unnecessary money from purchasing items that were not specified to us as all inclusive or not. Everything is in USD$. The wifi sucks and doesn’t work at all through out the islands and the rooms. Over all I wouldn’t stay there again

I stayed for 5 nights in the beach villas on this resort. I will say the rooms are very nice & clean & the beach is very pretty as well. I also have to say that one of the gentlemen that works in the gift shop, Umer or Omar (not sure how to spell his name correctly) was AMAZING and very, very helpful with a situation my bf & I were in. The Island is nice for the price though very small. EVERYTHING on here is very EXPENSIVE so beware.

**WARNING** I also have to say that I paid to go Turtle Snorkeling and saw ZERO turtles. I spoke to the manager and various employees to see if i could go again, or at the very least get a refund because If you pay to go turtle snorkeling you should get what you paid for; which was to snorkel and see turtles. They were very unhelpful, and basically said that sometimes the turtles get scared away when the people get into the water. This upset me as I did not think it was right and I felt lied to and this was not a cheap snorkel. You should get what you pay for.

The other thing I have to complain about is that when I would call to order my lunch or dinner, one of the men whom would take the order was rude. My boyfriend likes to eat later than I do so we would make separate orders. The man got mad, and told me its a lot of work for him to do 2 separate orders and we should order once. I thought that was rude, as were already paying a significant amount of money for a meal and I should be able to eat it at whatever time I want.

Great place!

We stayed here for a week, the staff are really nice and extremely helpful they make up for the very few small things I feel this resort is missing (small individual toiletries in the rooms, turndown service, all inclusive drinks in the plan). The food is lovely and the chefs are really nice and always made me vegetarian food in a fresh pot. The staff just go out of their way to make you happy which is so appreciated they are all 5* quality. They made a special effort for my birthday with a cake and a beautifully decorated table and bedroom! The bluu bar showed the football which was good as we were following it and had a cocktail night and a movie night too. You can walk the island in 10 minutes which we did often! We went on a dolphin excursion which was complimentary and very enjoyable! We used the spa which is priced well for the treatments we had. The gym was good and air conditioned. The reef is buzzing with stunning fish and black tip reef sharks best place to see them is close to the hotel reception. Overall we had a great time so thank you!

It’s a paradise

It’s only 15mins from Male but it is an absolute paradise. The water is amazing with lots of sealife, the island has many activities and excursions available. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they are all very great with young children. Buffet food is good, but the cafe food is even better. The garden room we stayed in was amazing with an we had an ocean view. The Spa is tranquil and relaxing. The massage is definitely not to be missed, it is very relaxing but therapeutic at the same time.

If you don’t want to spend too much time travelling to further islands this one is great.

Relaxing and comfortable

My stay was just what I needed - 4 days spent doing absolutely nothing! Lots of places to relax in the shade and read a book. I wasn't interested in any activities, but there seemed to be options for snorkelling, etc for those wanting a more active holiday. It is a small island, so not ideal for anyone keen on walking or wanting a lot of excitement.
The room was comfortable and clean. The WiFi worked. The food was plentiful and tasty. The staff were lovely. My only difficulty was trying to book a massage in the spa, it took multiple tries to catch someone there as there seemed to be no other way to book.
All up a great place to stay!

Great location close to male so close from the airport one of the cheapest resort in term of price, activities alcool etc. So don’t expect something totally crazy(underwater restaurant etc) I recommend to book the all inclusive package it’s giving you a lot of advantage for a little price difference. The staff is amazing really welcoming and understanding.

We could not wait for our next chance to return to this paradise! We were well taken caref of the entire crew. We found new friends like Rasika (always ask us how we are), the alluring Ainura, Fazeen (coffee with a smil). Amdad (tasty eggs), Ahmed (stay aqay from Ainura), Juman (short but good looking), Sampath (thank you for the memorable dinner), handsome Nakke, Kishor (the nice tatooed Nepalist),
Unais (he owns Kadto Island), Akhil (sweet fresh fruits), Sagar (tall, dark and handsome), Nuuru ( the shy one), Shimul (tasty pancake), Khaerul (delicious pasta), and the warm and friendly guys from
Blue Bar - Ramesh, Mahid, Kelum, and Dannis. Sorry if we did not mention other friendly staff. One week is not enough. We will be back soon! Thank you very much for everything!

I’ve never stayed in a worst place than this. The staff except DENYS and Sampath were extremely rude and unapproachable. Waiting at the blu bar for food to order was such a hassle. There’s no supervision or accuntabilty as it seemed. Everyone kinda felt like they were their own bosses. Spare yourself some money and go stay on hulhumale island. People so nice there and amazing food and so much to do!

Great staff, location and experience!

We found this hotel as a last minute getaway. Having a family of 5, with 3 children under 12, is always hard to find suitable and affordable accommodation and holidays. However, after finding this place, and after reading the reviews, we did feel like it was too good to be true. My husband and I did the expensive resort holiday in Maldives a few years ago, without the kids, therefore knew how costly these islands and resort can be. We wanted to treat the kids to a luxury, once a lifetime holiday, without breaking our bank accounts in the process. This hotel was a godsend.

Not only did we book two rooms to accommodate us, on a BB basis, from the transfers, to the cost of the drinks and food, we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the drinks were tasty, the staff could not do enough for you either. The only negative I would say is the internet was atrocious and super slow and the prices for the excursions and water sports was ludicrous however, our children were very happy to snorkel all day and play on the gorgeous powder sand beaches.

Yes, we went away to enjoy each others company so internet was not mandatory, however my husbands job require him to be available electronically so, that made things a little difficult for him.

Bikas was the nicest and most talented chef. He made the worlds best curry and tandoori chicken. We ate that every night! HE could cook anything, and it was divine! Yam and Chathu were cool and kind barmen! Thanks Malahini.....

I have enjoyed the stay in Malahini resort. Food was excellent especially the breakfast. The beach is clean and well maintained. However, the reception should be more transparent when explaining the extra charges to the travelers. I have asked for a late check out. However, they said its baised on availability. But then they mentioned that it’s for additional charges.

The Ocean Villa is the best choice for room if you stay at this hotel. The excursions are reasonably priced and the staff is friendly. Spend extra to get all inclusive or half board so u can get breakfast plus dinner because paying for the buffet on site is very expensive, $45 plus tax not including drinks. Not good. Also buffet food is terrible, it's served lukewarm so when u get to your table it's already cold. The a la carte menu is way better, the lamb chops and cous cous was amazing. Also a la carte menu is more reasonably priced and the setting is right on the beach so u feel ocean breeze as u eat. Amazing!

Very cute resort on a small private island

Food was very good and there was a wide selection. Staff was very friendly and helpful. FYI getting in and out of the island requires private speedboat which the hotel arranges. It can get pricey if you try to leave the island.

Amazing relaxing stay

I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a lovely relaxing place to spend 2-7 days.
To get to the island I recommend organising the speedboat transfer through the hotel for $85 return per adult, it is the simplest way to get to the island, and compared to other prices I found for a transfer, it was actually one of the cheapest options.The hotel have a stand in the airport where you wait for the others flying in at the same time and then they will take you to the boat and provide you with a life jacket and bottle of water. When you arrive at the hotel the staff welcome you in reception with a refreshing drink and the bill for the transfer which will also include the tourist and green taxes that you must pay on arrival. Once this bill is paid you will be issued with your room key and someone will show you the way to your room - your bags will be delivered later.
When we stayed we were in one of the superior rooms with a sea view and a balcony which was beautiful, however, it would have been nice if they were slightly larger. The bathroom was lovely with plenty of room and a very good rain shower head. There is a safe in the room which is great but won't fit anything as big as a 17\" laptop.
Every day there is room service which provides 2 500ml bottles of water for free, make the most of it as all the other water is expensive and there is a minibar with alcohol for those that want it. You are provided with both a towel for the bathroom and a towel for the be

I don't like resorts so...

I could write my complaints but I know this is a new establishment so I'll cut them some slack. I mean it was my choice to go here and I have to make due with the hand that I dealt.
Sometimes you go expecting something and your let down by your own expectations.

Lesson learned, but it would still be nice to get my snorkeling photos from one of the employees. Lol
