Everything is okay, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Only one thing to improve, breakfast quality is not up to a 5 stars hotel standard. The hard boiled egg is cold, egg station serving is slow, other foods not appetizing and poor taste although wide selection. We totally not taken the breakfast the next day.

Love this property because its close to the airport and has bedrooms which has dip in pool. They have western as well as local food selection in their restaurant menu. the hotel also have great spa, gym and pool facility. In fact there indoor playarea which are suitable for kids 7 and below! They have KTV rooms for the guest if anyone fancy a sing along! The view from the rooftop bar is phenomenal. If someone would like to try some seafood restuartant there is lovely place very near by called Khunthai. Overall its convenient and pretty and suitable for solo travellers or families!

Loved the views

Plung pool on balcony and views along coastline are amazing. The size of the suite is huge. Food in restaurant was lovely. Not much to do in local area but bus shops outside, which also goes to airport and Georgetown. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Everything from Dimsum, eggs station, cereal, fruit and Danish treats. Definitely would stay again.

Private swimming pool on the balcony

Hotel is located very close to the airport which was convenient. Not much around near the hotel however, we didn't adventure out so didn't bother us.

We had our own private pool on the balcony plus a private steam room which was the main reason we booked.

Breakfast buffet had many options and was continuously topped up. They even had ice cream which was unique.

Would come again and would recommend to others, especially if you want a private pool to yourself.

We stayed in the Lexis Suites Penang Premium Suite for three nights and had the worst experience on the third night because there was a power outage from 11.30pm to 5.30am, we didn't know how to charge our gadgets or pack our belongings because there was only an emergency light available in our room, and we couldn't sleep because the room was extremely hot and we had an early flight. We had breakfast at 6.30am, the elevator jerked on our way to the restaurant due to electric problems and while having breakfast there was a power outage again. Upon check-out, the front office staff had no idea how to handle the situation and simply informed us that management will contact us, it had been days, but we had not heard from them.

We applaud Firdaus or Fifi at the Roselle restaurant for being really accommodating and pleasant, checking on the quality of the dinner course, and being very nice and considerate of our feedback. He exceeds customer satisfaction and deserves a promotion and raise.

The staff were really friendly. The room was really clean and very well maintained.
The housekeeping staff did their cleaning very well.

The pool water was very very clean and the private in-room sauna worked well.

The breakfast buffet had a very good spread, but were generally a bit sweet for us. The young chinese lady made excellent omelettes.

Ivan and the front desk team were very patient, understanding and welcoming.

Special mention goes to the the bartender at the satellite restaurant and bar during the evening to closure shift on Saturday and Sunday. He was always so polite and smiling.

We would strongly recommend and consider to stay at Lexis Penang again.

When we got to the room after they reluctantly upgraded us to the sea vie room we found the safe was not working and the sink in the toilet was cracked and leaking. I informed the reception on 3 occasions and was told we will get it sorted today but today never came. Very disappointed with the service from reception and front desk.

However the service from the catering and breakfast was excellent and they even made us a take away box on day of checkout as we were checking out at 4am.

Hotel looks wear and tear and could do with upgrading and is in the middle of nowhere

Horrible location, misleading information and pictures on website! It’s no beach it’s a sea shore with rubbish around , it’s no choice off restaurant , cafes or grocery store. It’s 45 minutes to city. Hotel provides shuttle one way and you need to be requested in advance.

This is my fourth time staying in this hotel.Unfortunatelt during this staycation it becoming worse than me perfect stay before this.

As i arrived,i didn't noticed that u need to pay for outside parking.This bloody fat girl come to me and asking for RM20.I refuse to pay and told her that I will park inside the hotel carpark.Somehow she refuse and asking me to pay just because she already write the receipt.What a bad first impression as I just arrived.

Another thing that make me disappointed with the cafe staff.Like another hotel,if your plate is empty,the cafe staff will asked you politely to take your plate.Well,its not happening in this luxury hotel.I have to pick up my own plate and put it on the waste trolley,these two cafe staff(a guy and girl) not doing their job properly.Please provide training for your cafe staff.

This time I rate this hotel as POOR due to this bad service.

Great service.

Amazing service in all the hotel departments. Location makes it difficult to do anything off site but the hotel amenities were great. Water sports like kayaks would be great since you can’t swim at the beach. Rooms are beautiful & plunge pool is awesome.

Not worth the money.

Pros :
1. Rooms are very spacious. Bathroom area also very spacious.
2. Partial seaview which isn't that great.
3. The indoor private pool.
4. Sunset view from the rooftop bar

Cons :
1. Sink area was moldy.
2. Bathroom doors couldn't close shut, had to use the clothes basket to close it.
3. Pool was dirty, found cigarette buds in it.
4. There's 6 lifts in the building but we literally had to wait 10 mins for it(Poorly configured). Had to take the stairs a couple of times up and down(2nd floor carpark, and 10th floor room) .
5. Kids were running and yelling across the hallway at 12am ( this is not the hotels fault, but i had to mention). Also heard screams from kids throughout the day when in the private pool area from other units above.
6. The location of the hotel is a bit deserted in Bayan Lepas and the sea is very dirty at this particular place. (Stayed at a different hotel prior to this in Georgetown, seaview was much cleaner)

Overall experience : Not worth the money. Definitely did not meet the expectations. Won't return.

Amazing premium hotel

I was on vacation with my spouse in Penang, and was amazed by the room upon entry. It's so beautifully designed, complete with facilities and the swimming pool & sauna in the balcony is truly out of ordinary.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast buffet selection is varied and very delicious too.

Overall we had a very pleasant and memorable stay at the hotel, and we hope to stay in your hotel again on our future visit to Penang.

Would like to suggest that during registration, guest should be informed of the breakfast traffic especially during peak season.
Suggested that aside from the notice that was placed near a pillar at the lobby, (which was not that visible) maybe the hotel could asked the guest to pre book their slots for the breakfast time to control better traffic. At least guest can plan their time to attend breakfast.

Main attraction was the pool in the room. Unfortunately the services rendered at breakfast buffet was not pleasing. The same food was served on all the 4 days we stayed over. When we choose our own seats, as there were no one around to tend to us, the manager then came over and told us to seat at another location and not meant for 4 persons. We moved but realized he allowed another couple with a baby to seat the original table..Is 3 more than 4? It does not make any sense to us, the double standards, is it easier to push us around? The food available for room service was limited, expensive and unfortunately not nice, very salty. It was not on par to the hotel at port dickson which had more choices for room service. When there was a bad \"storm\" which rocked Penang, there was no announcement or assurance the hotel staff. The only advice given was stay in the room and the deck chairs outside were moving around in the wind which could blast the glass door and shatter it. We used our own common sense to bring all the chairs and table inside. Hotel not equipped to handle emergencies I feel.

Room was big with attached pool and steam bathe. But amenities are not well kept as there was some green moss on the wall of the pool with foreign particles floating on the pool. Steam room was normal, nothing to rave abt.

Room and bath was very spacious.

Location is a bit far off from city center thus will recommend you booking a grab car to drive you to town. Will take abt 40-45mins to reach. Not much amenities around the hotel, so pls bring enough things if you don’t intend to leave the hotel

This hotel is away from Georgetown or other famous sightseeing locations. But, it had a good private swimming pool with well maintained conditions. The room was spacious and the dining options were adequate for 2 nights.
It was ubfortunate that we could not use kids paly area and the main pool due to the maintenance.

The cleanliness can be further improved. It was clean in general, but there were places where we opened a cabinet / drawer, some unpleasant smell came out from it.

The steam room was not hot enough and took a long time to heat up.
The pool was very cold...we ended up not using it while we were there. A pity really, because I booked this hotel especially for these 2 inroom facilities but they didn't meet my expectation.

On the other note, the staff were friendly, the food in the restaurant was great. My son enjoyed the indoor kids playground too.

Needs Maintenance

I went for a business trip from overseas and stayed at this hotel to have some refreshed time. However, the hotel need to fix the following:

1. Replace or fix broken furniture and equipment
The furniture had some cracks in the cabinet and the shower head in the bathroom fell down when I was taking a shower. Luckily, didn't hit my head. They should fix the furniture which seems a little old.

2. Maintain the sauna and pool area properly
The sauna was not functioning and there was no manual on how to operate the sauna. Maybe they have but I did not found one. I found a cigarette on the pool area in my room. At night the pool had no lights and it is quite scary swimming looking at the ocean because you cannot see anything.

3. The staff at the breakfast dining area should be more alert
Because we are local Malaysian we were given seat outside the dining area eventhough there are empty seats in the dining area at the breakfast dining hall.
Some cooking staff were singing during their work which looks very unprofessional.

Good Part:
I enjoyed the inroom pool and the ocean view was calming. The concierge was very polite and they gave me a lot of tips for local area.
The bed was very comfortable.

The rooms to the lobby to the breakfast is not that ideal to perfect. Worse part left a watch in the room and try calling them from 12pm after checking out till my flight at 3pm there no one interested in returning my call or update me at all. So you can have a better choice else where than staying at this property.

The pool in the balcony was great for kids, I can relax in the air con room while watching my girl played in the pool. The view from the balcony was stunning and the room was spacious. Staff always friendly, accommodating and helpful, whether is at the front desk or the cleaner. Location is a bit far from Georgetown, but they do offer free shuttle to Queensway Mall and Prangin Mall, and we just take Grab car back hotel whenever we want.

Everything was great except:

The room was a little dark. The indirect lighting while soothing and relaxing did not provide quite enough to get any work done.

There was no place ti sit in the pool. While I did sit on the edge of the pool and dangle my feet in, I did not go into the pool because there was no place to sit. If I wanted to sit in the pool and just enjoy the view for a while I could not. Why to into a pool where all you can do is stand there?

The service at the receptionist is not friendly. I am pregnant with 30 weeks and I request to get the room at 12 noon, they didn't even check then rejected me straight. Found cockroach in the hotel toilet. Floor are not clean with stain. Swimming pool in the room with a lot of small insect swimming. Fridge is not cold and can't adjust temperature.

Everyone so friendly and helpful its unbelievable. Stayed 10 days and wish it was 20. Breakfast buffet variety and quality is amazing from European, American, Japanese, Malay, Chinese, Korean and Asean in general.

The rooms are spotless as is the in room steam room and plunge pool. The towels and linen are plush, soft and new.

The main pool is great as not too much sun, we hate sun.

Fantastic local food around the area, with free shuttle to Queensbay Mall which has great local and International eateries. Massages at the mall is only a fraction of what you pay at Batu Feranghi tourist traps. 2 hours MR116.

Fantastic people, fantastic food, fantastic location. The seafood restaurant on beach behind the hotel is great and reasonably priced.

A Grab car to Georgetown Little India or Penang Street China Town is only around MR20.

Highly recommended, will return.

Not enough towels in the room. The hotel had initially wanted to charge for additional towels. Other than this, the rest of the facilities and our experience was superb.
