Hot tub was murky. Area around pool was dirty. Storage and mess behind tables in group seating area by pool. Tables dirty. When we offered to clean the area we were given a dirty cloth to clean it. Then power went out in our room when we were getting ready to leave. Could not call front desk when power went out in room because phone did not work. Could not finish getting ready. Told front desk at checkout but they said they could not do anything for our stay because we booked with expedia. Then charged or cc more than expedia price. Not happy.

The rooms are newly renovated with new deco and equipment, e.g. microwave oven and the little pantry.
But encountered a big experience that I found my credit card was charge a $2xx fee with $5 whatever charge from the hotel (I paid to Expedia for the room fee before checking in). Then I emailed to the hotel and was told by a frontdesk staff that they said the room chair found a cigarette burnt damage without my notice. We didn't smoke and I thought it was a non-smoking room, why I was charged extra for that ridiculous reason?? Then I replied the email again and raised my objection towards this. Finally, the assistant manager apologized and reversed the charge to my credit card.

Indeed, I had been staying in this hotel for a few times before, loved their room with walk out access to the hot tub and pool, as well as with free breakfast. And found that they just got renovated, that's a plus.

I will rebook this hotel sometime later, and hope that no such unhappy experience again.

Pillows and blankets smelled musty and stale had to shower to get the smell out of my hair. no lotion in the bathroom so my skin is dry and itchy. Restuarant wasnt open on time. Food was poor quality and overpriced. Loud noises from pool, screaming kids and people hollering down the hallway. Late night adults in the garden area also loud until 11pm. Elevator smelled gross and covered in finger prints, didnt want to touch anything. Stairs had trash and also smelled

Evrey staff member we encountered was outstanding! Very polite, energetic, approachable; honestly they left a lasting impression. The property is pretty dated and in need of some repairs, it looks like they are doing some work though. Breakfast was great, not your typical crap quality. I dont know that I would choose to stay here again based on the property, but if it did it we be because of all of the great staff.

Its a noisy hotel. A lot of rules are presented to you upon checkin but nothing is actually enforced.
The rooms are being renovated but the ones that haven't been done are worn. Tough to justify the $235/night
There is a pool in the court yard that most of the rooms face. This attracts a lot tween cheer groups. We had a water leak in our bathroom. Water coming out of the light fixture when the room upstairs used the shower. At one point it was running like a facet.
Thankfully they were able to move us, but I had to request it. Maintenance was just going to mop up the water and call it good.
This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. Neither experience has been great. The only reason we booked a second time was due to the lack of availability in Red Deer and the location was convenient to my sons sport event.

The room was clean and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. They allowed us to switch to adjoining rooms with the family we met there, so it was like we had one large suite. The breakfast coffee was strong enough and had a decent flavour. The breakfast food was good, especially the individually fried eggs. The pool and surrounding area are small but nice. The bed was too soft and wobbly for my taste. Most of the gym equipment is broken and has been since our last stay in October 2024. The bedsheet was pilly and it wouldn't stay on because the elastic was worn out. We enjoyed our time there, but would like to see the gym and the sheets fixed.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is dated, the restaurant is more life a cheap cafeteria than a restaurant. The breakfast buffet was horrible. Very disruptive construction work started on the roof at 7:00am on a Sunday morning. When brought up with the front desk staff they did nothing and didn’t seem to care at all about the disruption.

The room was ok. It was clean. It was tired, well worn and looked rough but it was clean. The small conditioner in the bathroom room was half full. The breakfast …. The eggs were ok. The sausage was weird and inedible. The coffee was terrible. Extremely weak. We watched the cornflakes that spilled over out of the spout get collected and put back into the main container instead of getting tossed. Construction started at 8:00 in the morning (roof repairs) and it was loud with banging and rumbling. The staff were pleasant and apologized for the noise and granted us a complimentary late checkout.

The boys (an older hockey team) enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

I would not recommend this hotel until it has been renovated

I can look past the run down room, plugs not working, bathroom door not closing, but the room shaking construction on the roof above my room on a Sunday morning at 7am is hard to overlook. The lack of caring or concern from staff was unacceptable as well as no management on site. Service for breakfast is also poor. Overall they need to evaluate staff training. I will not be back.

The courtyard is gorgeous, but the rooms aren't great. Stayed in a king bedroom, it was grungy, the walls and ceilings need a paint job, and the carpets need to be replaced. The bathroom makes weird noises throughout the night and there was a high pitched noise almost electronic noise you could hear when it was quiet. There was also what looked like drug residue on the inside of the ice bucket lid.

Our room had only 3 towels and the maid never came in 3 days to make up our room. The heater didn’t work. The blinds on the window were horrible and let a ton of light in, making it very hard to sleep. The hot tub was dirty and had a bunch of tiles missing. The breakfast area was old and worn out.

The room was clean and orderly but the bathroom was tiny. 1\" smaller and you wouldn't have been able to close the door. Okay foe average size person, but for a larger person it wouldnt have worked. The bedside lamps have USB plugs in them but they didn't work. So I had to plug in my phone over on the desk. Next time. I would be more specific about my rook.if I was staying for more than one night

This is an older hotel so you cannot compare it to a new hotel. I have stayed here before. Disappointed with supper menu I have a new health issue which limit my ability to eat most common eat. Breakfast buffet was much better it had more food options for me. So I would stay here again just find a better place for supper that offered me more food options.( My health issues has only been diagnosed in the last three weeks so there will be a lot of issues with food and eating out at restaurants).

5 nights there due to no cancellations. rooms are dated but comfortable. no housekeeping during full stay. had to ask for toilet paper,soap and towels. no seating in the hot tub, standing only. hard to get in and out. unsafe neighborhood and dirty outside. potholes in parking lot are huge. would never stay there again. Free breakfast was sub par. at least you cannot mess up toast and jam.

Its the second time I’ve stayed here the room was in need of roof work in the room as it had a plaster patch that was rough not smooth at all. The Air conditioning wouldn’t cool the room down very good so the second night I got back late and it was really warm in the room. So I opened the patio to the courtyard area which was way cooler then my room. So at 10:30 I called the front desk about so they sent the maintenance guy to come look he ended up looking at it and though it was fixed but then came back 10 min after and it quit working so he said we’ll move buoy to another room. So I went to the room to drop my stuff off then went to the front desk to get new cards then he said it was for a different room and I had to go get my stuff and move to the other side of the hotel. But it was still good.

The staff waited until I was checked in to advise me that there would be no water during my stay. Had I known, I would have gone somewhere else. Upon check-in I had notified the front desk agent that I had brought my dog, and agreed on the pet fee. When checking out the next morning the next front desk agent wanted to charge me $300 for not disclosing that we had a pet because the 1st agent didn't make note of it and apparently put us in a non-pet friendly room. The AC/furnace unit in the room was also extremely loud and in need of repairs. Area didn't feel very safe. Thankfully, the water didn't end up getting shut off, but it caused unnecessary stress after a long travel day.
