The room was dirty. Lights switch and walls had black marks from dirty hands. Toilet had with scum/foam which did look like any cleaning products. The floor had hair and visible dirts. The carpet also had food and dirty in them. The bedding was visibly dirty - white sheet clearly showed the dirt on them along with the top blanket. We slept fully clothed and used our own shirts to cover the pillows. Sticky hand prints on the tables and desk. Garbage left in the room.
Informed the front desk of a fight between a parent and child - mother was screaming and swearing at her child along with loud hitting noise. When we inform the staff the state and I quote “oh ya it’s a family that’s dealing with a trouble teen. It’s been an ongoing problem”. When asked what they have done nothing was the answer. The kid screaming wasn’t a teen but a child between the age of 8-10. Finally one of the workers went up to the room only because I was calling the police for help since they clearly stated it was a continuous issue - child abuse is never acceptable and not something I will I will stay quiet about no matter what your culture is and yes the workers did use that as an excuse!

We will never stay there again and will not be recommending this place to anyone!

The worst place I have ever stayed. Filthy. Ring of scum around tub. Baseboard,around toilet,microway,doors so dirty. Light fixtures missing. Curtains on backwards. To call this place a dive would be a compliment. Oven filthy. I could go on but I think I made my point. It seems there have been many complaints but no changes. We will not be coming back.

Friendly staff but the hotel itself was outdated and very dirty. There were blood splatters all over the room in different places. The bathtub had chips out of it and was on a slant. I had to keep the curtains closed because there was such a cold draft coming from the patio doors. The walls were paper thin. I was waken up at 3:30am by the neighbours next door talking and laughing.
Karaoke on sat night was so loud it sounded like it was in my room. I could hear conversations of people outside because the patio door is old and needs to be replaced.
There was someone outside my room door in the hallway charging some sort of power tool at 10pm with their hood over their head. Sketchy to say the least.

I was feeling uncomfortable when I arrived at the room, so I asked to change rooms. The guy at the front desk told me they were fully booked and had no free rooms available. After I settled in and turned on the heater, I discovered it was broken. When I reported it, the same guy at the front desk wasn't able to fix it, but miraculously a room became available on the next floor and I was moved into it. It was a long and stressful evening/night .

The room and hotel in general were so filthy. Bedding was clean so that was a plus, and for just needing a place to lay your head for a cheap price, it did the job…but ick!
Lots of sketchy characters wandering inside and outside the property. Definitely would never take my kids there. But like I said, if you just need a cheap place to sleep for the night, it will do.

We booked a room last minute due to a good deal. They gave us a different room than booked, there were some stains/splashed something (appeared washable) on the walls, room smelled heavy of dust, and when we moved the pillows there were bed bugs. Definitely seemed not clean. The staff were helpful and understanding so they get a 5/5 star but the facility itself was yuck.

I booked a kitchenette and they have a full fridge and stove but it’s not usable without pots/pans/silverware/dinnerware. You don’t expect to have to bring your own in order to be able to make use of the kitchenette. There also wasn’t a coffee maker. They don’t even have facecloths so had to wash with a hand towel.

Worst hotel I have ever been in. Dirty ( Brown spot and bloodstained) everywhere: bed, doors and walls. Never been cleaned while I was there. I had to clean my own room. Door lock was broken and they never repaired it for my entire stay so my door never locked (not safe at all). I suspect bed bugs. I had to desinfect all my stuff going back home because my skin was full of bed bugs bite. Even if I was paid to stay there, I don't think I would do it. I want a refund for this horrible stay. This hotel looks like a class action lawsuit in coming.

We arrived at your Hotel to find we were at the wrong one & your staff directed us to the one we were booked at witch we were thankful ! The hotel we were booked at turned out to be a disgrace & after seeing the room & how dirty it was we decided to not stay there & left ! We called your HOTEL to see if at all possible for us to get a room at such a late time & were happy to find your staff (GREAT ALL OF THEM )were great in getting us a beautiful clean & spacious room !!!! This was the most disgusting super 8 i have every had the misfortune to stay at. The place had dried urine beside the toilet. The hallways would puff up in dust when walking, the room had cigarette butts on the floor when i checked in. Further to this I came back from work to find they \"forgot\" to clean the room just to be told they only clean every 3 days. The desk manager handed me the cleaning supplies to clean myself.

Got there and were \"greeted\" by messed up people in the parking lot. Went to check in and the lobby was dingy. No elevator so took a narrow staircase to the 2nd floor. Holes in hallway walls and stains on the old carpets along with reeking like cigarette. Got to the tiny room with old blankets and smelling like pee. Turned around and checked out. Staff was nice and refunded me without asking any questions. As we were leaving the staff was trying to deal with a rough looking guy on crutches who had been dropped off from who knows where. Not at all safe or clean and it was much worse than I expected even for a cheap Super 8. They likely rent these rooms by the hour.

We had a terrible overnight stay. The room had bed bugs, and my kids couldn’t sleep all night. We traveled all the way to Calgary to celebrate their birthday, but instead of enjoying, we had a very stressful stay. On top of that, the reception staff was unwelcoming and unhelpful when we raised our concerns.

This was extremely disappointing and not what we expected at all. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families.

The hallways were a mess on the carpet and smelled like weed/cigarette smoke. Our room had a door which would allow someone to come into our room without our key. The carpet in our room was dirty. The balcony door would not lock, there was a paper cup full of water sitting on it. The cup attracted a cat. The microwave was not cleaned. There was stains on the bed sheets. The bathroom was designed so that one would have to expose themselves to the front door aftdr a shower, and the mystery door that we did not have knowledge of. When we first got to the hotel, there was a group of people hanging out in the parking lot away from the streets view, which made my spouse uncomfortable.
But the air conditioning worked and the front workers were friendly.

The room was filthy, the office chairs were ripped, the storm windows hadn’t been updated, had no screen and they didn’t lock. I had to find a copper pipe to put in the window to keep it secure. There was garbage in our kitchen left in the cupboards. Everything looked like it had been left the way the previous occupants had left it and that the only thing housekeeping did was make the bed. The hallways smelled stale and the carpet was warped in places causing a person to trip. Wifi worked as expected. The area around the hotel had good amenities. The waitress at Boston Pizza was lovely.

We stayed here after reading good reviews but don’t be fooled. It’s not a nice hotel to stay at. It’s old, dingy, smelly, in very poor condition and the beds are hard and uncomfortable. The room was very small. Lightbulb burned out in vanity so was dark. There was no toilet paper holder even! And no hairdryer or coffee pot in the room. Coffee is served in the lobby but only until 9 am. There was garbage overflowing out the front doors. I would never stay there again and do not recommend to anyone

The WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room reeked of wet dog, like being trapped in a dog grooming salon during rush hour. It smelled like a soaked dog had full access to a tub and kept jumping in all day. The ceiling fan was barely attached, there was no toilet paper or holder, and the floor had a huge wet spot next to the bed that looked like mold was forming. Hand towels looked used, drawers were full of sand and debris, and the carpet was stained. I highly doubt a cleaner ever touched that room. Beds were stiff and squeaky, pillows didn’t fit the king bed, and the AC didn’t work because it was crammed in a corner. The smell, dirt, and neglect were overwhelming. We asked to pay cash and were told it would actually cost more than credit. Upon checkout, we asked for a full refund and were given only one night, being told it was nonrefundable, despite paying in person. Staff was dismissive and the building was filthy. Signs say no smoking, but the place reeks of years of smoke. They even have rules banning guests from visiting your room. Why can’t I sit with my family for a few hours in my own room while out of town? We booked for June 28 to July 1, but left early on June 29, and I’m appalled. 10 out of 10 do not recommend no matter how cheap it is.

I arrived at Super 8 and checked in and I was given a room. It was extremely noisy as there was a bar right below the room. I went back down the stairs to the front desk and said I’m sorry I can’t stay here because it is so noisy. I was then given another room that was in a different part of the hotel. I went to that room unlocked the door didn’t even go inside because the smell was awful. I then went back down and told them I was checking out. I could not stay there because of the smell in that room, the place was disgusting everywhere (stained hallway carpets, smelly) and I also didn't feel safe due to the rough-looking people hanging around the bar. So I checked out immediately and checked into another hotel right away. I do not recommend staying at this Super 8 whatsoever. I have stayed at numerous Super 8’s all over and I’ve never seen one as bad as this one. It was very trashy.

Not bad, but not great.

I am 74 years old, but still fairly active. I have stayed at this hotel several times, and always ask for a ground floor room. I have never received on, so will probably stop booking at this hotel. The usual answer is that there is only a few steps. There is no elevator, so having to drag my luggage up and down two flights of stairs gets old fast. The room I got this time was a kitchen suite, which I had no use for. There was no place to hang my clothes. The balcony door did not lock properly. There were no black-out curtains, so room got quite bright in the morning. I am usually an early riser, so not a big problem. There were only two thin bath? towels. No mat for the bathroom floor. I had a shower and the floor got a little damp. I slipped on the marble? floor, but was able to catch myself. Falling is a major concern as we get older, so this was not a good experience. I accidentally forgot my iPad in my room. I check out just prior to check out time, and had things to do in the city. About 5:30 pm I couldn't find my iPad, so I phoned the hotel. Fortunately, the iPad was left at the front desk. I am glad they found it, but a timely call would have been nice. In all fairness, I know it was not a \"duty\" to call, but it would have been a nice touch to show they go above and beyond, so to speak. Lastly, this room was the among the cheapest I could find, but not a lot less than other hotels in the city. I guess \"buyer beware\" and \"you get what you pay for\" both apply here.
