Stayed for 2 nights. The beds are comfortable, the heating/cooling worked well (but is noisy) and the larger fridge in the room was very nice, clean and new. Bathroom is basic but adequate and had nice hot water. The vinyl flooring is also relatively new so is in nice condition. Although the beds are comfy, they are on wheels so if you try to lean against the wall-mounted headboard, you quickly end up in the middle of the room. The rest of the room is quite dated and so has nicks and dings in most areas. The room was also not cleaned well as we found multiple long black hairs in various areas. Coffee pods were provided but were not restocked so had to go to front office to get more.

The room was very clean, but the smell of old cigarettes permeated the whole room! There were visible yellow condensation marks on the bathroom ceiling.
The furnishings in the room were old, but ok
The noise levels were truly awful. I've stayed in other budget hotels on the Gasoline Alley, and this is by far the worst.

The inside of the room was clean, an older vibe, a beautiful, soft (not too soft) bed, and a large room. Does not have a couch or table like the pictures. For the price, it was great

When we checked in, we had an issue with the key, but the front desk was amazing and helped get a new room, and he did all the walking back and forth.

Staffs were nice. Updates like the kitchenette with induction stove, counter and sink plus a regular size fridge was a bunos. We liked the wood flooring too. Suggestions: check the condition of the AC, it blows hot air, doesn't work its purpose on summer time, costs higher bills to the owner and inconvenience to your customers. Also change the old blue towels to white. Coffee maker and freebies like coffee, cream or sugar will be nice. Be true with what your signage says, none smoking.
It's a recommendable place to stay when in a budget.

1. It is strange that the hotel charge, not pre-authorized credit at the beginning. 2. The damage deposit pre-authorized charge was $200 and the staff shared that for some rooms, the deposit was $600, much higher than other hotels. 3. I am not sure if they should keep a copy of my ID?

The room we had was dirty. There were layers of dust and grime on the baseboards etc. The bathroom vent is filthy. The door hooks fell off the door. It really needs deep clean. Disappointing because the recent reviews were positive.

A very clean, economical motel with pleasant staff. I had reserved a queen kitchenette but ended up with just a queen regular room which was okay but I really needed a fridge with a freezer of which there was just a fridge, no freezer in it. Otherwise, a decent motel for the money.

I will never stay at this motel again. the room was not properly cleaned. There was dirt and mold in the bathroom. No coffee pot in the room. And the room had a kitchenette, but no cups. In general, I will never stay at this motel again

My friend and I stayed at this hotel and it was fantastic before we got settled into our room we checked the beds and they were all clean, bug free. We enjoyed having our own fridge cooktop and big sink and there was a big countertop. The beds were okay slept very well. The TV is not smart so no Netflix or anything but we had a tablet that we watched Netflix on. There was only one big plate one small plate very little silverware and one big pot one small pot and one frying pan everything worked very well for us we would be staying at this place again.

The rooms were dirty when we got there I used its cloth to clean up and was charged $40 because I got the towels dirty was told I should’ve came to the front and asked for a mop. I was willing to go to Walmart and replace towels with better quality towels, they said it was their policy and they offered me to take home the dirty towels.

When I arrived early for check in, I was told very curtly that my room would be ready at 3pm. I returned at around 2:40pm, got my keys, and payed the $200 deposit (pretty high and actually cost more than what I paid to stay for two nights) and was told the room would be ready at 3pm. I waited in my car, and at 3:15, the room was still not ready (highly unprofessional cleaner who enjoyed taking his sweet time regardless of the check in time). I started to walk back inside to ask, and was shouted at by i'm assuming the receptionist in the parking lot that it would be just five more minutes. I saw the cleaner, and despite saying I needed to be in the room asap since I had a place to be at 4pm, he reiterated the 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, he was still not done so I went inside to ask what the holdup was. Begrudgingly, the same receptionist said she would book me in another room, and I finally got in half an hour after I was supposed to be checked in. Needless to say, I was also late for my 4pm appointment.

Overall, considering what I paid for the room, it wasn't a bad hotel aside from the general location, but the extremely poor customer service just soured everything else about it.

After running the A/C for abit I called front desk to say it wasn’t cooling the room. 2 staff came up and said it’s because I’m on the second floor and it’s hot outside. One offered to move me to a different room but it didn’t have a kitchenette which I booked. I chose to stay there and she said she’d follow up in the morning and do something; no one checked in with me again. I had asked if they had a fan but they didn’t. The room had cobwebs with a spider in it on the light, a dead hornet on the artwork and stains on the bedsheets. There was no cleaning service provided and when I asked for towels I was told I had to bring my wet ones to the desk to get new. I saw hskp staff walk by my room. I paid $87night for 3 nights. When I checked out I had to sit and wait for the staff to go check my room I assume to ensure I hadn’t damaged or stole anything even though they had taken $200 pre-auth on my card. I travel a lot and have never been asked to wait for my room to be checked.

There were people smoking and drinking outside their room, despite a posted policy forbidding it. The man cleaning up the parking lot joked with them, picked up garbage and moved on.

The bathroom floor and room floor had built up grime from it not being mopped properly. The television and cable were unplugged and the remote had dead batteries. There was no coffee available in the room.

When I asked for a late check-out (1 hour more) it was refused even though I gave up a kitchenette room for a regular one.

If you can get a room at the Western Budget, stay there instead!

I'm not kidding when I say thousands of Bugs EVERYWHERE the room probably hasn't seen the light of day in years I immediately requested my money back this place is the most unhygienic property I've ever seen the pictures are NOT OF THE ROOMS AT ALL. I booked a jacuzzi suite and they said it was more expensive than what I paid for. But that's what I booked that place needs to be torn down if the carpenter ants don't chew through the building first. We were ABSOLUTELY BAFFLED

It was hands down one of the sketchiest places I have ever stayed and it was more expensive than a lot of other nicer places in the area, I only picked it because the photos make it look decent and I was able to use a booking credit for some of the cost. The outlets didn’t work in the room, the bedding was filthy, the microwave/mini fridge were filthy, the door had been broken through and the door frame was cracked apart and the bolt was ripped from the wall while the door itself had almost a dozen baseball sized dents that looked like they were made by a hammer, it was SO LOUD all night because of the clientele, multiple drug transactions took place in the parking lot, I was followed to my room and harassed multiple times by people who were under the influence, and I had to move my car across the parking lot for fear of a 20ft length of rain gutter tearing itself of the roof in the wind and landing on my car because it was hanging down a few feet

Looks good on the outside, however the room had a bad oder more like smoke in a non-smoking room. The sink and tub drained very slow. The mattress needed replacing, was a bit worn. The light switch plate was broken and needed replacing. Door seal was inadequate allowing light and air to come through.

The guy that did check in had to phone someone because he didn’t know how to complete the check in process which caused a 10 minute delay. The room stinks of cigarettes even though it is apparently a non-smoking room. There are dents in the doors, walls, fixtures. There is paint missing from gouges on the walls. TV didn’t work and had to have maintenance help. There are rough and colourful people around the property at all hours of the day and night. People could be heard yelling at each other in the middle of the night, outside and inside the rooms.
I would not recommend or stay here again.

Was very happy with the cleanliness of the room, the spaciousness of the room and the price.
I travel for work on a budget and have booked similarly priced hotels in red deer before to great disappointment and feeling unsafe and unclean. This motel didn’t have any of that and was the same price. This will be the motel I stay in in red deer moving forward.

The room was supposed to be non-smoking. It wasn’t. There were only three small and hard cushions for pillows. Not real pillows and usually three isn’t sufficient for 2 people on a queen bed….and- these were cushions. The room was run down, the bed felt “thin”. The water wouldn’t drain in the sinks and shower well. Overall…I should have booked a hotel elsewhere earlier.
