Well, I’ve travelled to many hotels in Asia - including Koh Samui and this is definitely not 4.5 star. The rooms tired and not very clean. Pool bar was open first few days - staff shortages.

The room was good. Comfy beds and a clean more updated room. We were on the main floor and the light coming in from the pool area at night was quite bright and we had lots of smokers around which leaked into our room. The pictures of this placed looked really good and the pool looking onto the water is nice. However, the staff seemed to lack attention towards their guests. Each day we were there, there was a new issue in the hotel with guests frustrated. Our check in and check out process was slow. Breakfast that is included was good each morning so that was a highlight. The staff however at the pool bar and around the pool didn’t seem to be interested in taking care of their guests. They have a pool table which seems closed the majority of the time if there are any clouds in the sky. It’s on a very busy street that is difficult to cross and very loud. Not near any of the larger attractions. The beach was not there due to high winds but there is a tiny little one when it’s calm. Overall, if you are just looking for a place to sleep this is good but for another other hospitality and amenities I would look elsewhere.

I really enjoyed my stay and even booked an additional night stay. Only a couple of minor issues. One was easily corrected, the second issue was upon check in i was given an email for a free coconut. The manager explained that was the previous ownerships offer and wasnt included. Pretty odd outcome, but honestly everyone amd everything was splendid. Will return! Great job

Good but not perfect

Ocean front room with a private pool was epic but very expensive for the condition of the room. Toilet has urine drips down the front and pool was growing algae. Shower was very aggressive and soaked the bathroom. If you want peace and tranquility and don’t mind it not being perfect this will work for you.

Room service food was excellent. Breakfast limited but what was there was delicious.

Highly recommend. Hidden gem ! It’s like Narnia - it looks simple on the outside but wow - As soon as you walk in - it’s beautiful ! Long swimming pool. Staff were gracious enough to accommodate me during my stay travelling solo. Rooms are large, clean and spacious. Breakfast is across the street - food is 4/5. There is a few to the airport.

My wife and I stayed for a few nights here recently.

Don’t believe the absolute terrible reviews and don’t believe the utterly amazing reviews either.
For us, it’s a definite 3 star hotel.

Good points:
Clean, staff are friendly (although can seem a bit disinterested with some playing at the pool table for a lot of the day) and location is absolutely fantastic on Bangrak Beach with lots of really nice places to eat and drink within a 10-15 mins walk.

Bad Points:
Rooms are small and the pictures of balcony’s don’t really do justice to just how small they are, we had constant issues with the room (Deluxe Sea View) - lights not working or flickering which weren’t resolved, constant issues with the room safe not working properly.

Hotel is beside a really busy main road and although it’s noisy, our room was on the other side of the hotel so it didn’t really bother us.

Breakfast is served in a restaurant across a really busy road and it’s pretty basic but tasty.
The coffee was amazing.

We overpaid for our stay but overall, not a bad choice.

Lovely rooms with pool and ocean views. Location close to airport, grab ride into fisherman’s village about $10-15 CAD. No beach chairs or umbrellas. Free minibar only meant bottled water. Everything else came with a fee. Over all great place for a night or two.

Nice property with amazing views of the sea. Pool area is lovely. Room was amazing and they were very generous with room amenities. X2 free cokes, x2 crisps and water everyday. Plenty of toiletries. Staff were polite. Location not great in terms of restaurants but a few around. Better with scooter I guess but still a little too quiet. Beach is not huge but morning walks were nice.

We enjoyed a week here and the staff were really friendly and welcoming! One staff member, Bo was so helpful in trying to help us with a flight ticket issue too!The room was spacious and the free mini bar items were a nice addition. The rooms are quiet thankfully as the area is busy and noisy with traffic and there’s music playing all afternoon/evening by the pool. The buffet breakfast was great…good variety of dishes each day. Plenty of options for eating, drinking and shopping all within walking distance.

Lovely hotel and the staff are amazing, they go out of there way to make sure you have a comfortable stay, even rushing out with a red flag to stop the traffic if you need to cross the road! The breakfast was lovely, I had a freshly made cheese and tomato omelette and lots of fresh fruit, so nice😊. We only stayed 1 night so didn’t get chance to explore the area but we did walk a couple of minutes along the busy road in front of the hotel and found a Sports Bar which was great. I had a freshly made bowl of Thai green chicken soup which was cheap and very nice.
Great hotel if you just want to relax in a comfortable environment.

Delightful, Relaxing and Lovely Accommodations

We had a delightful stay - the hotel was exactly as it was depicted in the photos and description. The staff was exceptionally gracious and hospitable; they went out of their way to insure that every aspect of our stay was pleasant. The entrance is located on the busy main street and it helped that every morning, there was a crossing guard standing out front to ensure that we crossed the street safely to the restaurant where we enjoyed a tasty breakfast. The rooms were lovely - ample storage, very comfortable beds, beautiful carved doors that were heavy and kept out the noise from the adjacent street. My only complaint was that the shower tiles are in need of maintenance; they weren't terrible but needed some new grout. It's a nice, quaint little hotel on a small, quiet cove of beach. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay at a good price, look no further! Overall, I would give it 4.8 stars.

Swim up room was nice. Pool could do with a clean. The room itself was lovely. Shower wasnt great, temperature and pressure. We had a maintenence issue which was resolved quickly. The hotel food was nice, but the breakfast across the road wasnt great.
We'd only go back for the premium room.

I stayed here a week in the oceanfront villa. The room, private pool, and beach access were great.

There are lots of restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Scooter rentals, barber, and 7/11 all right around which was nice.

The staff were very friendly and a pleasure to talk with.

The beach was much calmer (wave wise) then Chaweng, which made it perfect for renting e foils (electric surfboard). I also took the 42 island tour which left from the nearby pier (3 min walk).

This hotel dies not deserve a 4 star rating. It is more of an upgraded youth hostel than a proper hotel. We had no pressure and no hot water in the shower. Breakfast was served in a run down restaurant across the road and there was loud horrible music blasting all the time.

The staff were all very happy and friendly, they could not do enough for us. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room and the manager had an engineer within 5 minutes to fix the problem. Breakfast was very limited in choice however the food was cooked fresh to order so no complaints. The hotel is very clean,the pool was cleaned daily and the pool area was kept very clean throughout the day. We had a poolside room which was kept immaculate with fresh towels and amenity kits daily. Our only issue was with the music playing at the pool and beach..it was sometimes a bit loud and some of the songs contained very foul language. I felt that many of the songs were very inappropriate especially when children were in the pool. I’m not a prude but I did find some of the songs offensive. We stayed for 14 nights and other than this one issue our stay was very enjoyable and we would recommend this hotel very much.

Room was exceptional it was a bit unclear when booking what kind of room we where going to have? Turned out there was garden apartments across the road which was not what we had in mind. Had to pay for an upgrade for the room in the photos, concept of poolside rooms was great but just not our thing. Pleasant stay great location for the beach,very well kept.

The local staff provided exceptional service but the foreign managers took advantage of this and especially the manager named Anan(or so I gathered his name was) had a very angry look about him yet smiled with the Israeli and European guests. Amit the other manager was friendly and had a good disposition. The accommodation was full of Israeli and European guest who monopolized the pool area every day and were given preferential treatment.

Overall, the staff on duty was magnificent — they went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. The quality of the food, drinks and wifi, however, ranged from ok to horrible. The WiFi didn’t work half of the time and when it did, it was too slow — we need wifi for work, so this was a big no. The cocktails, tried a few options: they all needed help; the icing on the cake was the margarita that came in a martini glass, I would have been fine with the no salted rim or ice, but the taste was subpar. My papaya salad warm. The shrimp mushy. The pizza cardboard. And lastly, wasn’t a fan of the broken up hotel areas: the garden room, spa and breakfast room were across the street and not the ideal setup.

Great place, offer great deals, clean and comfy

Had a great stay, only one night but will be back. It’s a young modern place, some in house activities like pool and ping pong and the hotel offer deals and specials in every department. The bed was super comfy! I’m happy though that my room was not in front of the pool as some guests had a more cheerful time than me travelling solo. The staff was great from check in to check out. Cool place, nice streets many restaurants around. Will be back! With a friend or partner next time.

The garden facing rooms are old and the toilet for eac room is located such that it allows bugs and lizards to come in the room. We had an unwanted guest, viz. a lizard, making noise at night. After 2 nights by paying extra, we took an upgrade to a room in the other side of the road, which is what is prominently shown in the hotel we site. These rooms are modern and nice.
The restaurant food is nice.
To conclude, unless you want company of bugs and lizards, do not stay in garden facing room.

This review is based on the basic room. In these types of rooms it seems like they had just bought hostel standard accommodation across the road from the actual hotel and stuck their logo on it. If you’re in the type of room your basically vermin and an outcast to the hotel. We were out in ill fitted sheds which when we arrived was filled with mosquitoes, which we could not do anything about as they fly in from the gaps in the shed like building. You are offered no mosquito net so if you stay a night in there expect to be eaten alive by mosquitoes. There is no escape from them as you are out in like a wooded area. In these rooms also you are offered very little amenities, you don’t even get bedside tables! It was honestly the worst hotel room I have ever seen. When we arrived we new we could not stay in that room so we’re forced to upgrade the room which cost as much as we had already paid again. However once we had upgraded the room it was the best hotel I had ever stayed at, the room, the pool area was also amazing. The staff was amazing no matter what room you were in! But AVOID if you are in the basic room and if you are in a deluxe room or better I could not recommend this place enough.

Lovely place, really good rooms, we had 2 rooms each with a proper king size bed, right next to the pool and 30metres from the beach. The staff are fantastic, the only gripe I have is the incessant music, played too loud, 22 hours a day and frankly terrible choices, bad cover versions of music more suited to a late night club than a relaxing beach atmosphere. If they could just sort that I would have had no hesitation giving it 5/5

Great hotel, ideal for the family or couples.
We were a family of grandparents (49 and 53), daughters (29 and 34) and granddaughter (11).
Rooms were not fussy but very well turned out, small extra bed was a little hard though.
Daily housekeeping was great.
Staff were all helpful and friendly
We visited the restaurant which was over the road for breakfast daily and enjoyed a couple of nice evening meals. Poolside bar and dining was of a good standard too.

Worst experience of my life!!

Despite this hotel having no facilities other than the swimming pool and over priced bar, I had the worst hotel experience of my life at this hotel! Long story short, we were invited to a free pool party and a “water park” nearby, our taxi driver also attended the party, drank all night and then got into the taxi to drive HOTEL GUESTS BACK DRUNK! I refused to get into the taxi with a driver who had been drinking and the manager attacked me for speaking up calling me rude, and telling me to SHUT UP. this man eventually made my cry by being so horrible because I didnt want to get in with a drunk driver, it even got to the stage where I tried explaining to this man I had been in a car accident before, hence why I didn’t want to get in. Then he proceeded to put me into a car with a random lady who apparently hadn’t been drinking, but hit a motorcycle on the way back from the party to the hotel! I have never in my life experienced such behaviour from hotel staff in my life!!! I am still angered and extremely upset from my experience at this hotel. I would rather sleep on the streets than stay here again!

Property is very elegant. They presented me with a lei and a coconut to drink upon arrival. I organized pick up at the airport through the hotel and the driver had chilled hand towels and water for me which was a nice perk. Infinity pool is gorgeous. Especially impressed with my bartender Noon at the pool who was able to recommend drinks for me and was very pleasant to talk to! Would definitely stay again to come hang out with her at the bar!

staff are very helpful and cheerful ; hotel facilitates not much and lucky we reserved the Beach front pool villa, which should be the best room type (only 4 in hotel). Restaurant and spa need to cross the main street, hotel will provide guide to assist you to cross this busy main road. but good that they provide room service, so we ordered the food to our room instead of running to their restaurant. spa just so so and convenience stores are in walking distance, NO gym and small hotel, hope they will build bigger to provide more different facilities

Apart from not picking me up at airport because somone at hotel thought 18.30pm was 8.30pm.
I had a decent stay and would stay again.
Just a few points that could be looked at.
1, i think there should be some sort of guarentee that when you are poolside, no one can come and use your sunbed outside your door, very annoying.
2, tv should have a list of numbers for channels.
3, List for numbers for telephone.
4,if you dont have breakfast, nothing is availible on room service menu untill 12pm.
5, The music is just too loud, on a afternoon.

This is a good hotel but there is nothing I would shout about. The design of the pool area is poor and there is hardly ANY beach at all. The rooms are small and the service wasn’t great at times, but the room was comfortable and the restaurant was great (service in the restaurant was exceptional)

The beachfront location is nice. The pool was cool, the poolbar was good, the billiards and ping pong were appreciated. We did not like the \"garden bungalow\" as it was situated off the property on the other side of a busy street behind a restaurant. The room we had featured flimsy glass double doors, water damaged walls, a shower that floods the room its situated in, and an outdoor attached bathroom with bamboo walls frequented by mosquitoes, lizards, bugs and worms. If you are on a budget, take all these dislikes into account because it would probably be worth the money to stay on the beachside of this property. Also, be aware they will try to charge you even for things you were told would be included, like free breakfast (which be weary of).

You don’t always get what you pay for. Property description and pictures did not match experience. Garden Deluxe room was more like second rate bungalow. Wasn’t even worth the discount price. AC weak and mosquitos flying in through gaps in the door. After 7 weeks in SE Asia we knew the the room wasn’t worth it and left without a refund. Been staying at similar priced places the whole time and everything else was so much better in every way. Overall amazing experience in Thailand despite this hotel.

I just saw I paid for breakfast for two and got no breakfast! They told me I didn't pay for it, ugh! My garden bungalow was comfortable, the bed was wonderful, the wifi was strong, the complimentary toiletries were great, I loved the small things they did to make it a great experience. They did not offer any complimentary shuttles, I paid for the 300 baht deal (each day per person) to get shuttles but it was one way or very difficult to do. Overpriced taxi as well. Paid 200 baht to go a few feet. 300 baht to go down the street. Improvements they could make is clean up the beach front, too dirty to go into, let people know you have to cross a very busy street to the other half of the property, no heated water in the shower (only luke warm), and the spa gave me my worst mani/pedi I've even had (nail polish all over my skin, nails cut crooked...) They do have a lot of services, that I appreciated. But the beach side is much nicer, than the garden side.

One of the very best hotels I stayed at throughout my five city tour of Thailand! The Goosh was an amazing host, Tony at the front desk was so friendly and efficient. Honestly every single staff member was incredible to us. They made sure we had the best experience possible. Clean facilities, very comfy beds, clean beautiful pool. I definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Koh Samui!!

Overall, our stay here was fine. The private pool was very nice and as pictured, but you get what you pay for. This was one of the cheaper options to get a private pool and the general pool area is nice but would say not as luxury as expected. There were a few things that caused me to think this:
- there were a fair amount of ants that were in the room, which was unexpected due to the marketing of the hotel as luxury.
- although we did not eat at the hotel, we saw dishes being brought from the restaurant across the street uncovered, which seemed odd as there were a fair amount of vehicles passing
- the resort fee covers laundry but cannot be done same day, so need to take that into consideration. Tried to drop off laundry at around 12pm and they noted could not be ready until the next morning at 10am.
- resort fee also covers a tram to and from the central market, but you can only return if another hotel guest books a tram to the market. If no one else takes a tram at a later time, the hotel will not send a tram to pick you up.
- the hotel staff also did not replace the beach towels in the room any of the days we stayed there despite us having a private pool
- the hotel also did not clean our room one of the days as well despite us noting they could come back in 15 minutes to clean at around 1pm.

Our stay was fine, but if you are looking for a truly luxury resort feeling, would suggest paying a little more for that experience.

A lovely hotel with wonderful staff. Bathrooms and beds are gorgeous. Doormen tirelessly direct traffic so guests can cross the road between the main beachside unit and the restaurant. Miss Mai is an absolute credit to the hotel, she is an absolutely lovely person and could not have been kinder or more welcoming, and Miss Ammy is charming.

Cool hotel on the beach. Small pool area but good atmosphere as the hotel isn’t the biggest. Nice staff, had a gent called Dit help us with info on what to do around the island and best way to get there. All round good experience and would recommend.

Mostly younger crowd ... visitor pool manners are lacking, should be a NO SMOKING hotel, we had a good stay
The trainee assistant Manager is an Asset to this Hotel , he is GREAT

The morning older outside guard is very helpful with crossing road and getting taxi

Be careful what you book!!!

We were given a ‘bungalow ‘ on arrival. We knew this. However the website makes no mention of these and shows no pictures, so you assume you are getting the same standard as that shown on the website. Wrong!!
The bungalows, about 13 are on the opposite side of the road, not on the beach. They are very old, constructed of concrete with a thatched roof with a tarpaulin covering it.
Yes, you get the basic amenities quoted but the shower is mingeing with mild on the walls, the toilet is actually outside and there are tiny ants crawling all over the walls and your clothes. Horrendous experience.
We complained to front desk manager and asked to be moved. However the hotel was fully booked. I asked for a refund but she wouldn’t agree to that , so as a compromise we agreed to be moved to another hotel in a different part of the island, which was ok.
She was very helpful but nevertheless we should not be put in accommodations like that!
The website leads you to believe that you are staying in a modern hotel, on the beach with fabulous beds, showers etc.
There are 146 pictures on their website, not one of the bungalows or any mention they are completely separate to the main hotel.
Don’t stay in them!!

We stayed at Previlige Hotel for 3 nights, the hotel is a 5 stars all renovated and amazing location... Fell just like paradise.
If you are looking to relax, this is the place.

Outsite Toilet in Bungalow

The entire time I thought i was going to be staying in the hotels with the pool as pictured but when I arrived the gave us a bungalow which they are very amazing how ever the toilet is outside ... there is walls and a rooftop but is not the same feeling as you get when you are inside with concrete wall and a connecting ceiling with wall

worst ever experience

I reserve and they show pictures of nice rooms, later arrived and have high humidity rooms, many moskitos and off the beach. The lady told me when I show my surprise, we don't have more soldout and we give nor refunds

Nice hotel for short period

Rooms - the rooms are direct on the sweimming pool, but there is no entrace door.
the entrance is from the window.
if too many people are out side having a pool party, it is very loud and there is no privacy at all.

Team - the team is really friendly.

the breakfast is served at the restaurant in front of the hotel.

Great place to stay

Great stay, hotel has a miami vibe to it. Staff seemed frantic due to the owner being in town. Had staff walk in on us twice, woke us up both times without knocking. Hot tub was not hot it was luke warm. Overall it was a great stay, the pool villa was awesome, and the pool bar was even better. If we stayed here again we would get a standard room due to the fact that we hung out at the pool bar all day

Amazing personalized classy hotel. Friendly & helpful staff. Location not too ideal as its not near city but to lazy in the pool is good enough. Many types of rooms to choose from. But the beach near the hotel is not ideal to swim.

We've found our place to stay at Bangrak Beach

Of course, the room, the facilities, the location all add to the enjoyment of the stay but what we finds sets hotels apart is the Staff and this hotel must have a great selection and training policy making our stay one of the best we have had. We don't speak Thai and it was easy to find English speaking help.
Daily chats and greetings from all staff and the Manager Kesorn (lady) all added to the feeling that our stay was as important to them as it was to us.

What a team

The staff at at Priviledge hotel are the heart of this hotel , they complete this place . They knew all our names within the first day and not because it was their duty , they genuinely cared about us and our 3 children . We miss them already .

Amazing hotel

We stayed at The Privilege Hotel for 3 nights as a couple. It was our first trip to Ko Samui. It is definitely a couples hot spot rather than a family destination. The hotel was so peaceful and the scenery was just amazing. We had dinner on the beach for 500 baht each. The hotel does dinner specials on the beach and includes a romantic set up on the beach, entree, main and dessert. The room was a good size for a couple. We booked the sea view room and it did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, young and old, looking for a peaceful escape.

I cannot say enough about this hotel. Firstly it's a fantasy boutique hotel. I am well travelled and stayed in many top hotels.
The staff here are some of the most amazing I have witnessed. Everyone had a welcoming smile (always) and they are remember everyone's name. The hotel team were so warm and friendly it made the stay much much better.
From the free snacks, to free cocktails (never happened anywhere else) and the free fabulous tapas and cocktails on the night before we vacated.
It truly is a remarkable hotel.

Only issue and a slight issue was the wash basin area is too dark and the dimmer switches didn't work.

For anyone wanting a touch of class I would highly recommend this hotel

I will definitely be coming back there in the future

fantastic pool villa

We had the private pool villas it ticked every box for us as we had the choice of the beautiful beach use of the hotel pool or just stay at our villa.
The cleanliness was great the staff at the hotel were all just brilliant and soooooo helpful Karn was an amazing lady who made our stay just perfect she is a credit too Privilege along with the rest of the staff.
We were sad to go home but would not hesitate too return or book a Privilege hotel stay ;)

The staff really made our stay very pleasant. We experience a friendly and helpful service from them. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was decent, and location was good. O would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic resort vibes hotel

Our experience was amazing, everything was so new and great. We booked the private pool with the he sea front view and it everything we hoped and paid for. Nice pool nice view of the beach. The vibe here is that of young professionals, couples, and those who are fun. The main pool is so awesome and the pool bar and staff are great as well. We had a dinner on the beach. Food was good too, lots of everyday options

Good Hotel, but Staff need some work

- Checked into a beautiful room with a walk out onto the beach… Stunning.
- Everything was perfect, except front desk staff at check out. Not helpful and very cold like they got my money and pushed us out at the end. I'd expect this from a cheap hotel, but not from a high priced hotel.

How anyone can give less than 5 stars for this hotel amazes me. Staff are excellent. The room was amazing, the bed is the best I've ever slept in. The pool area is fantastic. Don't hesitate with this one just book it you won't regret it

There was no common area so when it rains you are stuck in your room.
As well there is no separate food service area so when it rains they jam the tables in the very small lobby area and it is brutal to sit and eat breakfast.
