This is my favorite hotel in Koh Samui. The place is so peaceful, but in an excellent central location close to everything! The staff is truly amazing, especially the front desk, Leah, and the man whose name I forgot, but they were both amazing. The housekeeping ladies are also incredible and so friendly. I just love everything about this hotel and will be back soon! 💜☮️🙏

We loved our stay at Punpreeda! The staff were so friendly and helpful! The property was unique and beautifully designed. The pool overlooking the beach was one of our favorite features. It had a quiet and homey feeling made for relaxation. The area offered anything you might need- lots of great food; a laundry mat, pharmacies, etc. Our rooms were very nice with a workstation, a balcony, and a freezer in the fridge for ice.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Koh Samui. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The pool was clean and inviting, and we really appreciated the complimentary use of the kayak, which was a fun bonus.

Housekeeping was very accommodating, and all the staff were consistently helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The location was convenient, with a 7-Eleven and motorbike rental just a short walk away, making it easy to grab essentials or get around the island.

That said, walking around the area was a bit challenging due to the lack of proper sidewalks, and dining options nearby were limited, with only a couple of nice restaurants within easy reach.

Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, especially for those planning to explore Koh Samui by motorbike or relax by the pool with a view.

Stay here every time I’m on Koh Samui, it’s right on the beach, right in the centre of Bangrak beach, walking distance to all the restaurants and bars if you don’t ride, but set back on the beach side so peaceful and quiet.
Reception staff are amazing, really friendly and welcoming, and house keeping and grounds staff are great and friendly.
It’s perfect for me. Definitely recommend.
Lovely pool and sun bathing area, and small gym for you cardio workout and exercise

Right in the heart of Bangrak beach

Solo traveler wanting to escape the cold rain and grey skies of England in exchange for blue skies, sunshine and beaches of beautiful Koh Samui.
This is my third time at this boutique resort and I love it.
The staff are amazing, the villa is great, peace and quiet right on the beach, beautiful pool and gardens, lovely little restaurant serving breakfast and European cuisine, and right in the heart of Bangrak and walking distance from everything, with plenty of boat trips on your doorstep.

Always love this hotel... Love the location and the staff are amazing. Nice views from some rooms too. Staff always make me feel special as I have stayed a number of times. Some small changes have let the place down a little. The bar and restaurant changes aren't the greatest but I believe the hotel are trying to rectify this. The addition of a macdonalds fast food joint adjoining the hotel is really awful.. But I believe they are trying to find ways of distancing themselves from this.... Early days. Overall a good stay.... Hope they can tweak the issues and I'll be back. Rooms to book is 601 and or 701 or 702.great value for money.

Great hotel! Very relaxing. The pool was never too crowded and the hotel has steps directly down to the beach (and a little shower for your feet!). Pool gets the sun for most of the day and the beach gets sun all day (including a decent sunset). There was a bit of boat traffic in the day as there is a pier either side of the hotel but this was not a problem. Lovely room and bathroom, very clean. The only issue we had (and the reason it’s 4 stars and not 5) is that the steps around the hotel are not clearly marked out and due to their stone coating they blend in to each other very easily which caused a fall. The area has a few of restaurants in walking distance but not a great selection of Thai food, mainly western. We did eat at Jai Jai Leng Saap twice during our stay and this was great food and very reasonable!
Overall, great stay - thank you!

We were blown away by this place! What started as a last-minute booking turned out to be an amazing surprise. The airport pickup was a luxurious touch, and the warm welcome when we arrived set the tone for a great stay. Even though we showed up early, the staff had our room ready in just 45 minutes.

The room itself was fantastic, with a stunning view from the private terrace. It had everything we needed, and we couldn't help but imagine spending more than just one night there.

The only downside was the construction noise from next door, which made it hard to fully relax. But once that's finished, we'd definitely come back.

I was there only from late at night to early the next morning. But was shocked when a driver was there picking me up at the airport. How kind. The room felt like a honeymoon suit. Large, spacious and relaxing. I went for a midnight swim and heard the waves slapping the sand nearby. So relaxing. The staff were extremely nice.

Very convenient to Lomprayah Pier, Bangrak Pier and Samui airport. Clean hotel, quiet, nice room with warm water shower, working safe and friendly staff. My reservation included no hassle airport transfer and a welcome drink. Best and cheapest(?) meal in Thailand may be inconspicuous Big Sister Thai across the street. Wow good! Would stay again!

I stated here in 2012 and 2013 and was so excited to be going back , lovely service still and great value for money as yout on the beach , bangrak i really like your about 10 mins from chaweng and 5 mins from fishermans village , i was just disappointed with how they let the property go a bit needs so tender lovely care they have done a little bit of work around the pool area but everything else is exactly the same , i love laying on the beach , but i found it to be a sunbed graveyard with about five battered and broken sunbeds laying around with nails and screws hanging out of them , they have bean bags to use on beach but the are shabby and dirty and people leave them on the beach rather than putting them back so the dogs sll wee on them , i love punnpreeda it has a special place in my heart please please look after it a bit better i would love to return but it really does need some updating and tidying up

Punnpreeda family vacation

The location of punnpreeda was great. Very close to lots of restaurants, not to far from fisherman's village and airport. Whilst there, the pool was being worked on... So there was no pool access. Instead, they shuttled the family off to the replay condos for pool time. Another thing to note is that the beach is on the marina... So lots of tours departing throughout the day. Other than that the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. You should expect to pay about 200+ baht to go anywhere by taxi....though there are many scooter rental nearby

Good hotel, we stayed in a sea view bungalow, it was small but had everything we needed. The beach was small and we didn't swim in the sea outside due to it being too near to the boats and ferries, but that didn't spoil our stay as we like to explore the local area. Rooms were cleaned daily. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Local restaurants were very friendly, would recommend Yui’s restaurant which you can access from the beach or take a walk down the street for a few minutes and Italian restaurant only two doors down from Punpreeda, Very good food always hot and very good customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Koh Samui and had great adventures during our stay. The weather was brilliant for the time of year despite forecasts and we would visit here again. We stayed for ten days however a week stay is more than enough to experience everything on this lovely island.

Couple of issues with our room when we first arrived ie dirty toilet but our room was changed very quickly. found most staff friendly & helpful. A few very small things would of improved our stay Ie toilet paper can not be flushed down the toilet it would be nice if the bins beside the loo had a cover. Also as it is a double room it would be nice to have two pegs for towels to hang as there was only one. Also a full length mirror in the room would of been nice. Otherwise a pleasant stay

Great stay!

We had a very good stay at Punnpreeda. It was close to the pier and right on the beach. The room was very clean and spacious enough. Front desk staffs are friendly and helpful.
Many good restaurants close by with nice beach view. Would definitely recommend this hotel and return if we come back to that area.

Went swimming for an hour, trying to keep underneath the water. Only one man temporarily sunbathing on the beach. Had the water all to my self. Do not know why really I could float effortlessly on the water. My skin tried to sunburn after only an hour if swimming? The Prunnpreeda dinner menu needs improvement. The free, breakfast buffet was excellent after 6:30 am. Orange juice, bacon slices and cut chicken sausages were yummy. Combo four, an omelette with four white cheese slices, I recommend for breakfast.

Would not make you want to return.

On arrival during the evening we were told that the hotel did not have a room for us after being booked for months but alternative arrangements had been made, We were taken to a new building by car and dropped off until the morning when we were picked up for breakfast. Should a problem have arisen during the night no contact on site. Accommodation was not bad but not where we expected it and parts still under construction. At the end of our holiday we returned for one night as we were using the hotel as a stop over near the airport only and could not check in until 2:00 pm. Only after complaining we were given a room after reminding them of our treatment on the first night! Staff were pleasant but a service charge was added on to drinks and food which were over priced in my opinion in comparison with our experiences whilst on holiday. Would not want to return.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful section of beach right next to the lovely pool.
Food and drink very nice at the hotel and beach towels provided also.
We had a lovely huge deluxe room with a separate bathroom and a separate Jacuzzi bath and balcony with loungers!
Mosquitos were a bit of a problem in our room no matter what we did so ensure you stock up on spray or buy a mosquito net!

We stayed just one night, the staff were great and the room was fine, aircon was noisy and we had many mosquitoes in the room that we struggled to get rid of, the pool area was nice but lots of flies.
The breakfast was poor unfortunately, we had the cooked option but it had no taste at all and again many flies. We were allowed to keep the room on for a few hours as we had an afternoon flight and our stay included an airport transfer so very convenient.

Not Worth The Nightly Rate

I stayed in way nicer places for a lot less money. The beach is not that clean & other than a few Thai children each afternoon you don't see many people swimming (only people strolling by on the beach). While there I spent most of my time in the pool. The food is decent & Jackie, part of the staff is so lovely (everyone is friendly for the most part, but she is the best!). The rooms are old, dirty floors, cracked fixtures in the bathroom & holes in all of the linen-I assume because everything is white & gets bleached constantly. I was in room 503 & wouldn't return again.

Punnpreeda is a very nice quiet resort out of the way of the main hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy the night life and markets! Their staff are all super friendly and always willing to assist and the rooms are lovely. The only downfall as with many small reaorts was the breakfast selection which we found to be minimal and average at best. The unfortunate choice of green tiles in the pool detracts from the lovely beach front setting

Air condition was leaking.

It would be good if the hotel air condition wasn't leaking.I thought it was raining all night.Also, the hotel management need to glue the safe deposit box to the wall,because it would make the guests feel safer to put their valuable in it.Thief can come in and take the whole safe away.

Hotel is a bit old. The beach out front is ok but can sometimes be dirty with garbage. Toilet in our room didn't work either. The staff at the front however were very helpful and nice. The price for a night in ko samui was also fair therefore perhaps you get what you pay for as ko samui is a expensive island.

Stayed over for two nights thinking I made a good good choice but I was wrong. Too many mosquitos in the room, WIFI stopped working on the first night so I reported it to one of the staff and they had no idea what I was talking about. A very quiet area and not a lot going on, you have to travel at least 20 minutes by Taxi to get to the night life where its all happening. Breakfast was limited with no vegetarian options. Used the laundry service and two of my t-shirts came back dirtier than before. Made a compliant to the staff and they sent it back for another wash however the staines were still there. Wont recommend the hotel!!!

just watch out for the \"Room, Breakfast No Refund\" - basically means breakfast is included, and you have no refund if you cancel. The reception thought this meant no breakfast and no refund. Expedia/hotels.com/punnpreeda need to clear this up

Friendly and cosy hotel right next to the beach.

I booked a taxi with Lomprayah Ferry who asked if my Punpreeda hotel was the Pool or another (couldn't make what he said but I told him neither, it was the Beach Resort) and showed him both the hotel name and address. I was brought Punpreeda POOL resort anyway and ended up walking 2km further down to Punpreeda Hip Resort (Expedia titles it as Punpreeda Beach Resort which probably confused taxi driver and I).

I was annoyed and not looking forward to another Maya Buri Boutique Hotel (depressing) experience but when I eventually got there, the staff were all smiles- from front desk to gardener, maintenance guys to restaurant staff. The quiet air-conditioning worked fine, decent cable channels to escape the mid afternoon sun and plenty of roadside restaurants and food stalls for the local foodie experience. The airport is nearby but the noise isn't deafening- instead, it can make for picturesque photos as the planes are incoming from the sea, bypassing the beach right at the edge of the hotel pool/restaurant.

Dinner at their restaurant was great but prepare for mosquito repellent. Happy hours for cocktails was almost half price. Instead of walking to Big Buddha Temple for sunrise, I took the hotel's free kayak and visited the perimeters of the temple and Ban Rak beach.

Great little hotel

We just needed a well priced bed and breakfast for the one night.
Located perfectly between airport and the Petcharat Pier for our boat to Koh Phangan.
Very clean, quiet , great pool and beach area, walk to shops and Big Buddha. Probably not a long term option for us but great for a few nights.
Jackie was very helpful with late checkout.
We'll drop back again.

Overrated

Arriving at Punnpreeda is a baffling experience. You do not expect the front of a beach resort to be on the main road. We were 6 persons, all in disbelief given the seductive pictures, which also seemed to offer a generally higher standard than what awaits you.
2 of our friends had problems sleeping at night because their villa was close to the street.
The 'luxury villas' are not luxury villas but fairly nice, quite simple concrete constructions, with a not very smart layout, as the ward-robe is inside the bath-room. The mosquito-nets are not mosquito-nets but decoration drapes, so mossy repellent is needed. The bed was good. The pool area is small, nice, but pool too small for exercise. The restaurant served us some very good food. The hotel does not possess an iron, so you have to walk down the street to the dry cleaner for ironing. One of the hotel's pictures shows a hammock. We saw no such thing, and there is hardly any place to put it.

great beachfront hotel

had a great stay here in October. staff are just lovely, happy 2 hours every night with your feet in the sand, good food at restaurant. you can walk to big Buddha and if you really want even to fishermans village[takes a while though]. hired motorbikes through hotel so a great base to explore the island. lots of little beer bars along the street with beer starting at 40bt happy hours. nice coffee shops only a couple of shops to the right [ best cappacino's and hamburgers555]. try not to miss the sunday session at secret garden-great night. all in all we loved punpreeda and the area. beautiful beachfront, great rooms, will definitely stay here again.

Quiet hotel, great staff

The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. Zero complaints about the actual hotel except the incense that they have lit in the rooms when you first check in. If you are sensitive to smell, I would maybe call ahead and ask them not to light it. The main manager that is there during the day has excellent English language skills, the manager that is there during the night is less proficient. The hotel is located on the north shore of the island and relatively far from Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beach and most of the attractions on the island. If you're going for a personal retreat then it is perfect. If you're going to take in all the sites the island has to offer, then this may not be hotel for you. Taxis from the hotel to the different beaches can be expensive.

Very nice but far away

This is a great hotel but it is FAR AWAY from anything. If you are interested in a romantic getaway with little to no interaction with other people this is the hotel for you. otherwise get something in chaweng. The prices at the pool bar are a bit on the expensive side but that what you get when you go away from the main areas. less options the more they can charge

A Delightful Bargain!

The hotel was really quite lovely! You got a lot for the price. The pool, beach and restaurant were all fabulous. The staff was kind and attentive. I had a room that included free breakfast. Outstanding choice! I would highly recommend.

Affordable villa stay with excellent staff!!

The hotel is less than 10 mins from the airport and 15 mins from Samui's main attraction Chaweng.With excellent staff and decent rooms it was overall a nice experience.The breakfast buffet doesnt have any variety but whatever is served tastes good.The poolside breakfast comes with an amazing view of the ocean.Wi-fi was decent and they help u rent cars and scooters as well.We rented a scooter for 250 bahts/day.

Fantastic hotel with great staff

Had an excellent holiday here all the staff where helpful & spoke really good english so when something was required it was delt with ease, receptionist nan was exciptional with great customer service. Lastly nothing could beat breakfast on the beach view restaurant in the morning. Will definitely be back again.

Great Resort!

We arrived and found out we had a problem with the reservation - we made a mistake with the dates.
The hotel staff was very kind and tried ti help us. At the end the problem was solved and we were shown our wounderful room.
Quiet, relaxing, comfortable and a bit secluded.
We tried out the emerald pool facing the ocean and had a blast.
The location of the hotel is really close to the big buddah pier, quiet at night but there aren't many things to do. We had a great italian dinner close by but other than that we didn't really have anything to do at night.
A great resort! Would happily book again! Very romantic and perfect for couples.

Little gem at Bang Rak area.

I loved this small cozy resort. The resort was very clean and well maintained. Great view from the swimming pool and the restaurant which are faced the sea. Staff was very helpful and kind. My flight was late afternoon and they offered me a room to take shower before leaving. Very nice breakfast.

It's located on the main road of Bang Rak, near the Bang Rak pier and the airport.
There are many restaurants & bars nearby. Also, it's within walking distance of the Big Buddha & Wat Plai Laem.

Truly a very relaxing & peaceful stay with Punnpreeda Beach Resort.
Definitely, I'd love to stay again next time!!!

Good value if you do not like huge 5 star resorts

Family run hotel with spectacular service. Plus: you can swim in the sea, nice pool, very good service, clean and neat but not luxurious. Minus: Airplane noise, not fancy.

Better than decent

I only stayed as a stopover. Room was nice. Breakfast was nice, overlooking pool and beach. Pool is smaller than appears on the net. I would stay again, though not long term. The \"minibar\" is really just a mini-fridge.
