We had a beachfront room which was perfect - the pool was amazing and the beach was right beyond the pool. The food and service was excellent. All the staff at this hotel was wonderful! It was a short cab ride to Fisherman's village which we liked. And the area was relatively quiet which we also liked.

We had a wonderful stay at Prana . A beautiful ocean front room with an infinity pool and ocean on our doorstep. and lovely helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious too. Meals and cocktails by the pool were also amazing. The only downside was the shuttle bus into chewang was only available if there were 4 or more people . We taxied it a few times as there were only 2 of us.

Brilliant Hotel, we ad a beachside room which was lovely and clean with a fantastic view and facilities There was a lovely welcome by reception upon arrival with a drink and cold flannel. All staff were friendly and smiling. The breakfast was one of the best we had whilst staying in hotels in Thailand. The showers even had plentiful hot water, not that can be said for all of the hotels.

Beautiful resort, and the staff were so helpful and kind. We rented scooters thru the resort and it was very simple. Our room was awesome, with pool access. The beach the resort is on is very clean and nice as well. The staff allowed us to check in early without charge because our flight was early in the morning, which was so nice! Would definitely come back!

You can’t go wrong with this hotel.

We had an excellent stay. Our room facing the ocean was comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the sunrise and resting on the deck throughout the afternoon. The staff of the hotel was very helpful in arranging a drive around the island and transfers to and from the airport. The beach is kept very clean and is great place to play. The area around the hotel isn’t anything special, but it is quieter than the Chaweng Beach area. I highly recommend this area for people on a short stay who want quick and easy access to the airport.

The only thing that we would have liked is a bigger selection of Thai food in the breakfast buffet.

The hotel was great, awesome facilities, friendly and professional staff especially the kitchen staff and the reception staff.

The rooms were extremely clean and very nice. And the mini bar stuff were not overpriced at all 😁

The location is good I guess (close to the airport and fisherman’s village) and had some cool restaurants and bar walking distance from the hotel.

They organized free transport to fisherman’s village every Monday, Wednesday and Friday which is extremely great. And also transport to some beautiful beaches like chewang which is so helpful and great since the ocean water around this place is not clean.

From the online pics you’d think it’s on the beach but it is not, they have a some sunbeds on the beach but you’d have to leave the hotel and cross the road to go and enjoy the beach. Oh and the ocean water in this part is not clean so you can’t swim.

The massage wasn’t all that... but maybe because we choose an oil based massage (not sure)

Breakfast can be monotonous, the need to have some variety for the buffet breakfast especially if you are there for more than 5 Days.

They have some construction going on, maybe next time I go to there I might actually get yo stay in their new property will be at the beach 😊

Overall Prana was a great place!

Amazing area but the beach is not suited for swimming. The hotel is divided into two parts of which one is across the road from the other (this was not clear when booking) and not ideal - the beachfront section is much better - the view is fantastic there! The Thursday beach BBQ and fire show was fantastic! Hotel looks a little rundown/old. Need to request room to be made up each day which seemed odd.

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. Our top 3 highlights are: 1) Amazing staff (the bartender Tong was our favourite!), everyone is always smiling and provide excellent service. 2) Pool facilities, there is a really nice pool with swim up bar in the resort, and then an amazing infinity pool above the beach at the villas across the street, we spent hours here every day! 3) Breakfast buffet, so many options, great window of time (7-11 every day), food was delicious.

Since it’s a resort, prices for food, drinks, spa services, etc were comparable to what you’d spend in a big city in North America, but you’re getting the convenience of not having to leave the resort and getting excellent service.

Our only criticism is that you can hear every noise in the hallway. Side to side rooms seem quite sound proof though.

Very nice hotel, but beach not swimmable

We enjoyed the hotel and main pool. When we discovered that the beach water was very cloudy and smelled funny we decided not to swim in it. Not sure if it was due to algae or pollution. We were able to upgrade our room to one that had a pool entry (for a price), which helped make up for the lack of beach. The location was convenient to Fisherman Village, and the free Friday night shuttle was nice to have. My only complaint (other than the poor beach) was that we were charged extra for my 4 year old and we used the existing bedding in the room. I thought that since we were paying a supplement for each night, a roll away would have been included.

Not a single fault

We only spent one night in Prana due to a mix up with dates at a previous hotel, but we didn't want to leave. The hotel shuttle was prompt and staff friendly when they met us at the airport, the hotel itself is beautiful and the reception staff courteous. They made the check-in and check-out process so relaxed. Our room was laid out beautifully to help us celebrate our anniversary and our balcony looked out onto the hotel pool. We didn't get a chance to get in, but it looked amazing and the bartender at the pool bar was friendly - we could communicate with him from our balcony. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the room was clean, watch out because there are mosquitos, but that is to be expected.

Across the main building are the villas which look onto the beach. The pool there looked lovely too, though it is smaller, but then, you have the beach and the water to compensate. Pong, at the beach villas was incredible He basically planned our time in Samui for us within a ten minute conversation.

The on-site spa was amazing! You do have to book in advance, and as we were only there for one night, there was only time to do a milk jacuzzi bath, but I have never been so relaxed! Again, the staff are great, friendly and welcoming.

There is a good variety of options at breakfast, from made to order eggs to papaya and the most fluffy pancakes. And the breakfast area looks out onto the pool, as an added bonus. Room service meals are very tasty and I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Resort!!

I recently stayed at Prana resort for a friend's wedding and had a wonderful stay. The resort is very modern and clean and the gardens/surrounds are very well kept. There are two pools - one in the hotel part of the resort with a swim up bar which was fantastic, then the other one is on the beach side (near the villas) overlooking the ocean and is a stunning pool that you can swim laps in. I stayed in a room on the first floor overlooking the pool and loved my room. Clean, tidy, modern and everything was in working order. The bathroom had a double shower and was extremely roomy. The balcony had a cute round modern chair you could sit in and overlook the pool. The food at Prana in all restaurants, including breakfast, was delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful and assisted with any request. The only negative I have is that I found the pillows too soft so it would be great if they had some different options of pillows available. Overall, I had the most amazing stay and would highly recommend to anyone.

A perfect place to relax

Prana Resort was fantastic. If you are looking for a great layout, friendly staff and nice facilities, you will be happy here. The beachside pool / restaurant area was our favourite, and is a great place to relax for hours (just be aware that if you want to swim at the beach, you have to walk a hundred metres east, as it's too rocky immediately in front of the resort). The main resort complex surrounds another pool, and from a privacy perspective we were glad to have stayed on the top storey of the end section which does not face other rooms. We also loved the rooftop restaurant. We chose Prana to be away from the masses, and it was perfect.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a pool access room. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from the airport and its airport collection charge of 400 Bt is reasonable considering local taxi charges are 300 Bt. First impressions were good, the hotel architecture being modern and stylish. Warm welcomes were received on arrival, together with a fresh flower garland, cooling drink and wet towel. Hotel staff were very polite and friendly throughout our stay, especially the bellboy (Noom?), lobby, breakfast room and front security staff. Our pool access room was small but functional. The access to the pool was great. There was a separate entrance to the room via the shower, which was ideal for when coming in wet from the pool. However, the pool access room terraces are shaded by the shade from the rooms above so they are not any good if you want to lie in the sun. Also, housekeeping was not very good. They usually didn't show up until about 4pm and even then didn't do a great job. On one day we found that debris on the floor hadn't been cleaned and on another, discovered a dirty cleaning rag left on a bedside table. Complimentary drinking water seemed to be restricted to 2 or 3 small bottles a day, depending on the desire of the housekeeping staff. Breakfast was included in the room rate but was really not worth paying for. It was a limited selection and pretty much everything was poorly cooked with little flavour...yay, Expedia word limitation prevents a full review being left!

All I can say is that I am so impressed with this hotel. The staff is one of the first group of employees that are so on the mark with it comes to customer service. The breakfast is wonderful especially the cheesy potatoes. Having the room right off the pool was exciting. I came back to this hotel again that week and would recommend it to anyone.

It's a great resort. We had a few issues on arrival- rotten decking (that my friend fell through), blocked toilet in our room. And these problems were promptly sorted out by staff and we were treated to a massage in return. Very well handled!

The gala dinner was lovely and they had gone to a lot of trouble to make a memorable evening.

The hotel is located at a quit beach of Koh Samui, about 20 minutes drive from Chaweng. We stayed for 3 nights, beautifully designed hotel near Fisherman's Village. We took a room with pool access from the balcony. The room was big and modernly designed.
Another pool was a cross the road on the beach.

Good for Prana Resort, Negative for Beach Villas

We stayed 2 nights at Prana Resort Nandana, and 2 nights at Prana Beach Villas, they're just opposite to each other. In overall, the staffs and services are excellent, helped us a lots on arranging one day trip and car booking.

I will recommend Prana Resort Nandana, the room is clean and new, and I like the smell of their lemongrass oil.

However, the stay at Prana Beach Villas make us very disappointed...As we found 2 little bed bugs and a few drops of blood on our bed! We were very scary to find bed bugs, as they would suck human's blood and cause allergic symptoms....my husband found a few bed bug bites on his arms. (I am 100% sure they are bed bugs & the bites are caused by them, as I have had the same experience in Australia before :()

We have washed all our clothes and luggage immediately after back home, as it will be a disaster if they follow us to home.....hope they won't....

Excellent hotel. Nice big open rooms and modern pool.

All staff are helpful and smiley.

The location is good with some great restraints within walking distance. It's about 2 miles from Fishermans Village.

The hotel prices for food and drink is high but the food is very very good. Would have eaten more if it was a little cheaper.

Great!!!

The room was just like the pictures! It was great! Big and clean and comfort. All the hotels after this one seemed much worse.
The hotel is separated to an older facility and a new one- we were in the new one. We aloso could go the the \"old\" facility's pool. It was amazing- just on the beach. Great view!

Lovely new hotel, private beach, gorgeous pools

Fab holiday in a lovely clean hotel! The hotel was spotless, and everything brand new. The hotel has a gorgeous swimming pool with a swim up bar and The resort has Villas across the road where you can use the infinity pool and private beach. There is 2 for 1 happy hour there too between 5-7, which Is great as the cocktails are lovely!
I would definitely say to get breakfast with your room, the breakfast was amazing! Every morning they bring out a board filled with fruit, croissants and toast to start, and tea/coffee/juices, you also have some lovely choices for breakfast which are made fresh for you. Breakfast included American pancakes, eggs Benedict, full English, smoked salmon etc, definitely one of the best bits about the hotel.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Location is good, about 10 mins from the airport and 5 mins in a taxi to fishermans village- fishermans village is wonderful, gorgeous restaurants and bars, and the night market on a Friday night can't be missed, was a highlight of the holiday!
Overall a very pleasant and happy stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

This hotel/resort has it all for a wonderful relaxing holiday, food, staff, facilities., down to the best pillows ever. It is in a quiet area of Koh Samui but only minutes away for excellent restaurants, shopping nightlife and bustle.
Staff did everything possible to make our stay memorable. Thanks so much and see you next year.
