The entire hotel was freezing cold - lobby, hallways, elevator. My first room was 54 degrees. I changed rooms and the heat worked. However, the next morning there was no hot water to shower. The front desk said they would have maintenance check it. We had to leave for the day and I tried to call the hotel at least 10 times that day for an update. No one answered the phone. To avoid any more issues I got another hotel and checked out early. Because I ordered through Expedia the hotel refused to offer any type of refund for checking out early. I am still wrestling with Expedia for a reasonable response. This form of hotel business is unacceptable. The condition of the property and service received at the hotel was terrible.

Our first room was 54 degrees when we arrived. The maintenance worker attended to it, to no avail. We were provided a new room which was nice and warm. However the hallways and dining room continued to be freezing. Many complaints. Our shower leaked so the floor was continuously wet. The hotel does not seem well kept. Yet the price was what I would expect of a boutique hotel. There was not value for the price.

This property was ok. Clean, beautiful views. Everything in the room was low to the ground, though, including the toilet. And the lock on the door to the outside (ground floor) did not seem properly installed. It was just a slide lock that slid across the frame of the door. The bed was hard. On the plus side, they did let us check in a little early, and the staff was gracious.

There was rust in the corner of the showers and around the shower faucet
We barely had warm water to take a shower and we let it run for 15 minutes before using it

Got there and the fridge didn't work but when got back they either fixed or replaced it. A lot of rust in the bathroom. My fault for not see that the bar and restaurant is not open on Sunday. So had to ride for a nice dinner. The one place that was open had a 45 minute wait. I can stand that long. Payed extra for the lake view witch was beautiful in the morning. Got a call when we were at a winery about 4:00 to say we had to leave they have no hot water. Choice was the Hampton next door or drive to Waterloo for the same price of what I was being charged. Went next door and had a room with a view of a furniture store and had Chinese takeout because they delivered and where open. The hotels attitude was oh well

Cozy hotel in a beautiful location on Seneca Lake. Clean, up-to-date, and excellent front desk service. Only issue was the AC/heating system fan, which was blowing right at one of the beds, at a velocity that seemed unnecessarily high.

This was definitely a bait and switch...the room 121 should be ban from being booked.The room \"lakeview\" is being blocked by a wedding tent and my view was a huge propane tank behind the tent. Sold out so could not move...this was not a cheap
We had to keep shades drawn since wedding parties and staff were consistantly in tent that looked right into our room. Expedia said last room left when we booked last month yet we met a couple in hotel that booked lakeview last week. Could not get even a partial refund due to booking 3rd party so they said take up with them. Will never use expedia again as false advertising at its best.
Wedding going on so restaurant was closed due to not enough staff so forget trying tonget any food in the restaurant on site on the weekends since im sure there is always a wedsing there.
The beds...we considered leaving day 2 since we thought we couldnt endure another day in the low worst bed ever. My husband slept straight up second day his back hurt so bad. The shower...is only a hand held not a regular shower head which is strange. The only nice thing was on the first floor there is a door in ur room to go outside...the patio furniture that they have there should be part of the room cleaning as the chairs have not been wiped down all summer with the amount of spider webs and bird poop on them so we did not even sit on that.
No fire pit or anything outside even tho there are 100 chairs out there....pure black no lighting if ya even wanted to sit out.

The hotel location is great. Right on the lake and it’s quiet. Parking is easy and walkable along the lake and into Geneva. We had breakfast at the on site restaurant and the service was wonderful. However, it seems the hotel needs to be staffed up to improve the cleanliness of the rooms and the grounds.

41 Lakefront is a very nice hotel with a beautiful view. Located right on Seneca lake it's conveniently located near many vineyards. There is a wonderful restaurant right on property. I highly recommend staying here when you are in Geneva.

The bathroom had a nice mirror but the shower was not usable. The curtain was almost torn off, the tub did not drain. I was only able to take a 6-7 minute shower, my child could not shower.

Iffy about the experience

Great location, beautiful view of the lake and 5 mins away from Hobart, which was the reason for the trip.
The hotel itself is outdated, and I didn’t feel like it was very clean, specially the bathroom. There was mold on the shower and the floor was pretty gross.

One of the elevators was not working, I’m not sure how long it’s been that way, so with 6 floors, lots of guests, and one elevator, everything took way too long. The parking lot was very inconvenient, and I encountered some of the staff there “pre gaming”. Also, their restoring is closed on Sundays, as are most of the places down town, so beware.
Overall I might stay again, but only due to its location.

The room was neat looking, but the carpet needed attention and the bedding was questionable. There were little black things inside the sheets which made me think the sheets should have been changed. The bathroom was clean and the towels were fresh. We were traveling with two dogs but being right outside the elevator was a big distraction causing the dogs to bark.

Stayed here because if the view. We were on the third floor and windows were high and small, couldn’t sit and see out. Property was in need of maintenance. Many things didn’t work, remote, lights, coffe pot in room needed cleaning, tasted moldy. Food at restaurant was awful. One evevator closed , didn’t work. Grounds needed care.

One elevator has been out of service for a long time. Staff were spread very thin. Hostess/waitress in the restaurant was AMAZING. Construction was initiated in both driveway entrances at the same time making it difficult to get in and out safely. Internet service was really bad.

Not Clean. We booked a King Room Suite with a Jacuzzi tub. When we checked in and went to our room it was dirty. Scuff marks on the walls, streaks & smears on the furniture, big soap scum smear on the shower glass, small hole/tear in the flooring, bed sheets VERY WRINKLED and generally not clean. Also the elevator floor was filthy! Looked like it had never been cleaned. I went back to the desk a wanted another room. They did NOT have another King Suite w/Jacuzzi. so we moved to another regular room. Still not very clean, but better. We were not impressed with the eating facility, and only ate there once! Also, one of the two elevators was not working. I enquired at the front desk when it would be fixed? Not for another MONTH! Not good! The Tiny indoor pool looked terrible. Murky water, we dared not to use it. The location was great, it was in walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants. The Lake was beautiful. Geneva was a cool town to visit. I'd like to go there again, but I would not book a room at this place.

The room was clean but needed updating. What lighting there was was poor and the bulbs were all off color. Some 2800k some 5000k. Not acceptable. That’s just laziness by the maintenance staff or the management. The bathroom definitely needed updating. The light was awful and dark. No body wash or shampoo. We even asked for some but they had none. The other odd thing was this was a handicap accessible room (not needed by us) but everything was normal height. No way it would work for someone in a wheel chair. Final thoughts. This is great location going to waste. Low on staff and needs a big update. I wouldn’t stay again for the price.

The property was pretty nice but the one elevator is very slow and the other was out of service and has been for some time, we used the steps most of the time. The fitness center had no wipes to clean equipment. The chairs outside were nice but most were covered with seagull droppings as well as goose droppings on the grounds. But it was super convenient for what we wanted and the restaurant was nice. The cost was reasonable.

Beautiful view of the lake, however the room was not as clean as it should be...lots of cobwebs in the light fixtures and around the windows. Furniture is sparse, outdated, and uncomfortable. Lots of scuff marks on walls and baseboards make the room feel uncared for. Only one elevator was working...no sign of anyone working to repair the other elevator in the three days of my stay.

There was a wedding our 1st night there and since we had a room right on the lake we got all the noise from the reception and the music was blaring, and it went on until around 1 am, which was very disappointing, especially for the price we paid to stay there. The hotel should respect the others that are staying there as well.

Below standard for a Wyndham. One of only two elevators were down so getting to and from our room was not a great experience. The bed was super low to the floor and very uncomfortable. We could not get the room temp to adjust so we went from 80 on the thermostat down to 57 during the night. On the plus, good water pressure. The night before we stayed in Canandaigua in a Microtel Wyndham. It was a bit better experience. The hotel was spotless, the staff very accommodating but breakfast was nothing to write home about and the bed was again terribly uncomfortable. Sorry to say I’m be very hesitant to book another Wyndham.

Once upon a time at a hotel…. When you walk into the lobby, it’s inviting and staff is friendly. However, that’s where it ends.
There is a broken elevator and looking at past reviews, it’s been down for at least a month.

Our room… we had a lake view as we requested. That was nice.. but now the story goes south. Room was dirty. Very limited towels and wash cloths. All the furniture had a layer of dust. The bathroom… I wish there was a place to add pictures. But let me say gross. They have in the shower and on the wall near sink, metal wall containers with soap, lotion, shampoo… they are so dirty and rusted! The bathroom floor was dirty and to top it off, in the morning there was mice droppings on the bathroom counter.

We always read reviews before booking a hotel and we truly are amazed that so many people commented on how clean and nice their room is. Maybe they hit the wine trail 1st before checking in and didn’t notice! For us, we will not be staying here again.

As for the outside property.. it was ok. Plenty of parking. If you are ok with bird feathers and poop all over your car, walking areas and patio.. then sure, this is for you.

Only good thing I can honestly say is staff was nice.

One elevator not working, long waits. Busy signals when I called guess services. Laundry machine not working. Guess services, which didn’t exist, could have informed me of the laundry location and that the washer was not working but I waited at elevators carrying laundry around to find it was a total waste of time. No continental breakfast. Restaurant on site $15-20. for breakfast.
