Nice, clean, and comfortable hotel. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The staff didn’t seem very interested in welcoming guests. Most of the receptionists were young and appeared more focused on what was on their computers than on helping guests.
Breakfast was basic—decent, but nothing special. You’re better off walking about 100 feet to the right after exiting the hotel, where you’ll find a local café that offers a much better coffee and breakfast experience.

The rooms at the hotel were large and spotless. Housekeeping staff cleaned your room daily. Mauro at reception was professional and extremely helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast had good selection and was kept hot in Dutch ovens. I had a massage at the spa, the masseur was phenomenal. The indoor pool and gym were an added bonus. Don’t forget swim caps if you want to use the pool. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for your trip to Evora!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a huge bed and hot water for the shower. I liked its location just outside of the city center because it encouraged me to explore more — which was fun. The city is gorgeous. The facilities also have a spa and pool, but I did not partake this time around. My only “complaint” is that due to the low season, the dinner service wasn’t available, but snacks were available for purchase and had big portions. All in all not bad.

We stayed two nights in late December. Overall, it was a nice stay for us. The hotel is close to major sights in Evora, and relatively close to the train station. The room was clean and well-kept. We had a high expectation for their breakfast, which we paid for, but it was not top quality. Warm items were limited in variety, and exactly same items were repeated everyday. Could this be due to relatively few guests staying at the hotel at this time? Also, the hotel was charging fee for renting slippers for guests wanting to use their indoor pool, which we did not understand.

From the quick check-in process to the clean common areas and room, this hotel has exactly what you’ll be looking for in Evora. The hotel is well-situated and is very close to the historic sites and many great places to grab a pasty, lunch, or dinner. I was able to see everything and try various food by walking anywhere from 3 to 15 mins around the hotel. It’s also about a 14 minute walk to the train station which is great.

More specifically, the staff were very nice and helpful and the hotel had a very modern yet warm ambience. The toiletries in the washroom smelled nice and felt like they were high quality. The linens were clean and fresh and the blackout curtains and soundproof rooms made for a very restful sleep!

Poor customer service and no AC

Aside from the beautiful architecture of this hotel, the service was not up to par for a four star hotel and the air conditioning system was not working throughout the hotel. They told me that it’s normal for the rooms to not go below 24 or 25°C even though it was set to 18°. There was also black mould in the shower. Would definitely not recommend. There are many other better options in Evora.

Loved staying at this hotel for our one night in Evora. The beautiful modern architecture is a nice contrast to the rich history of the town. It was very hot when we arrived and so having the pool on site was wonderful. We didnt dine at the hotel but there were great options nearby. Perfect location for all the sights and i was able to find a lovely running path nearby in the morning too. Looking back, we could have stayed 2 nights and added a wine tour in the Alentejo!

What a beautiful hotel in the centre of the walled city of Evora, the staff were excellent with all the information we required, the secure infer cover parking great bonus with lift direct to our floor. The food was delicious and great variety. The wine waiter gave us di much information about the wines. Can highly recommend

This is a modern hotel just within the walls of the old city, within 10 minutes walk of all the major sights and the Praca do Giraldo in the old town center. Free underground parking is included - avoid driving into the old city. Very good breakfast, comfortable rooms

Such a lovely, chic, friendly hotel, perfectly located for a short visit to Évora (especially if you’re driving — you can drive straight to the hotel and there is parking underground!) We were greeted so kindly, and checkin/checkout was very easy. Comfortable bed, spacious and luxurious bathroom, and the design of the hotel is just very thoughtful and calming.

Lovely hotel right in the centre easy to reach everywhere. Only downside was the restaurant was closed till April 15th but not a major issue as we took a nice walk into the square and ate there

A newer hotel, with nice decore. Very similar to business travel hotels in North America. The underground parking beneath the hotel was easy and convenient, with direct elevator access to the hotel.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. No on-site dinner option during our stay, but with so many good local restaurants within a 5-15 minute walk, never an issue.

The room was a basic hotel room, quiet outside, but lots of mechanical noise at night from the room walls -- deducting one star for the difficulty sleeping with the noise.

Otherwise, a pleasant and safe choice of hotel, better than most.

Great location - lovely reception staff - the gal also gave us directions to a few sites and she also gave us ideas for a dinner restaurant on a day when many restaurants are closed. Parking was so convenient with a big garage and easy to enter and exit. Beds were comfortable, nice bathroom with huge shower, wonderful breakfast. Great hotel in a lovely, historical town. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Evora!

Extremely loud noisy room. They have cement floors and wooden furniture, paper-thin walls. The sound resonates like crazy so you hear everything thats going on in the adjacent rooms.

My wife and I had a 3 night stay at the Olive.
The whole experience was excellent.
Check in was was quick and easy. The room was big, clean, well appointed and the small balcony was a great place for an event drink.
A small item was mistakenly left - the hotel arranged delivery to our next accommodation in Portugal.
