We just stayed one day/Evening and this hotel was the best one of all. It is roomy, Modern and easy to find. However, the parking is very difficult so we had to pull up to the front door and the valet not only took our luggage but parked our car. Excellent service. They also have a great pool outside and inside.

This is a beautiful and first-rate hotel. I'm baffled by reviews here complaining of poor maintenance, as we found everything in perfect repair and spotlessly clean. Our room was wonderful. My only disappointment was that the jacuzzi wasn't hot enough to really be therapeutic. The steam room was a great amenity. The breakfast buffet was extensive, e.g., 7 different kinds of good Potugese cheeses, and we thought our dinner in the restaurant was quite good. If the price fits your budget, this is a great choice in Évora.

Beautiful property with amazing spa facilities. One of the best buffet breakfasts I have enjoyed. Very clean and spacious bedrooms with balconies. Great view of Roman structures. Bed could have been more comfortable, but that was the only thing I would have changed. Great overall.

We arrived before check in and left our bags with very specific instructions that 1 backpack had 2 open wine bottles, it was fragile and needed to stay upright. Miguel the bellman said, \"All i need to know is its fragile!\" 2 hours later we returned to check in and upon entering our room we see the bag is laid down and wine is not only soaking everything in the bag (jewelery, makeup, toiletries, it spilled and over the desk and floor. Took us multiple trips to the front desk to get properly cleaned in the room. No similar room available to move us too. Spent hours cleaning up the mess. Hotel manager on our 2nd day said, \"my staff tells me he left the bag upright, so all I will offer you is 1 bottle of wine up to 25 euro from our bar\". So be warned they take zero responsibility if anything happens during your stay. ALSO note not a 5 star hotel- very dated and bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable, only 1 pillow, bathroom counter veneer was bubbling up , many staff seemed very unhappy to the point of rude. The bartender was friendly and nice, and Stephan the bellman seemed nice. We had garden view, and the view was lovely, watched pigeons bathing in the swimming pool constantly.
Worst hotel we stayed at in Portugal.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Evora. Could walk to the center of town in about 5 to 10 minutes.
Rooms were great. Had a bathtub and a separate stand up shower which was great to have.
Would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely hotel a great pool & good size rooms but just not quite achieving its potential. A stunning view with a delightful terrace yet breakfast served in soulless windowless room. It felt like staying in a travel lodge with better amenities. We walked 5mins for dinner in a fantastic local restaurant & the town is beautiful- returning for a swim after exploring was wonderful however.

This is a clean and nice property in a good location, with a lovely pool and the common areas are quite nice. But the rooms are tired and not well appointed--especially for a \"Palace Suite\".
We were located with windows out to an alley at street level. Not very lovely!
The service was non existent. We were, at check in not shown the facilities and simply escorted to our room without explanation of the facilities. Would definitely not stay here again, nor would we recommend this hotel.

Almost the worst breakfast service we have ever experienced. Coffee was only available by ordering it from a server. After waiting 10-15 minutes for a server to come to our table, we finally had to get up and find one to help us. The coffee came soon after ordering, but 30 minutes after ordering eggs they had not come. Again we had to find a server ask them about it. Another five minutes later barely warm eggs arrived

The hotel room was very spacious for our family of 4. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. The breakfast buffet selection was also really good. The staff were very friendly and helpful with good recommendations and even helped us book tours. The hotel is located on the outskirts within the aqueducts but an easy 10 min walk to the main square and restaurants. Very happy we stayed there.

I just traveled with a college friend to four cities in Portugal and this was tied for the best hotel of the trip. The rooms are large and luxurious. The pool is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. The location is great because you can walk anywhere and get back to the the hotel easily. Just a tip about Evora--people will say it's unbearably hot in summer. We were there in mid July. We noticed however that the temperature range was very large. One day it was 97 degrees, but it went down to 55 that night. So if you take a siesta or hang out by the pool in the afternoon, you can get out and about in the morning hours and the evening hours. Evora is a lovely town with some excellent restaurants. Oh, and rooms have central AC that worked really well. I would love to stay here again.

Love the town and this hotel. Rooms are spacious, stylish and clean. I am not a big fan of hotel restaurants in general, but there were limited options the first night we were there. Turns out that was a good thing as this was one of the finest meals we had during our trip. We really enjoyed our late afternoon pool time, and the nice breakfast buffet in the mornings too.

The staff could not be more helpful. They parked the car for us although there is no valet taking, per se. Marta secured a dinner reservation for us and called us when we left some belongings behind. The pool was very nice but gets crowded in the afternoon with many families. Breakfast was included and they had a good assortment of choices.

It’s a very nice and quiet hotel in a great location. It has its own underground parking which is ideal considering how tight spaces and roads are in the area.
It’s strolling distance to everything in the core of the city. And even though I came during one of the only days it literally poured rain all day, I borrowed a hotel umbrella and enjoyed the walk regardless.
I can’t speak for all the amenities like the pools (indoor and outdoor) or spa as I didn’t have the time or inclination to use them. The ground floor room was wonderful with everything you’d expect to enjoy your stay. And again I could not use the outdoor furniture there to relax in as it was exposed to a dousing rain shower. The only minor complaint was the bench for the desk which was just hard wood. With no cushion, for when I had to do a few hours of computer work, made for a sore butt. Guess I could have used a pillow in hindsight. To counter that small issue, there was a comfy armchair in the corner that I napped in when I had just arrived from my long drive into town. :)
Their restaurant was really good and I ate there the 2 nights I stayed here. It has a very relaxing atmosphere with attentive staff with great service and delicious food options.
The staff in the hotel were also very friendly and helpful when I had questions or needed papers printed.
All in all it was an awesome hotel experience with some unique decor and layout. I will come back here again when the chance presents itself.

I stayed five nights at the hotel with my wife without the kids. The hotel was amazing, the staff super helpful, the room spacious and with all equipment needed, the bed great, balcony with view over aqueduct calm and relaxing. The pool area was clean and in good condition, good quality chairs and umbrellas, pool service etc. Our half pension was the best I’ve ever had, three course dinner at a Michelin restaurant with many choices to choose from. After 4 nights, the waiter realized we might repeat some dishes and offered us anything from the menu instead. The food was amazing and staff very professional and helpful. Évora is a beautiful city worth visiting and staying at M’Ar de Ar Aqueduto was amazing!

This was a former palace. Make sure you ask for further information about this. It would be great if there was signage about this in Portuguese and English so that all are aware of its significance in Portugal’s history. Great view of the aqueduct. Greatly appreciated the efforts of one staff member, Tiago, for his help with locating sites in the historical part of Evora. Delicious and plentiful buffet breakfast. Great location for easy access by foot to all sites within this quaint walled city. As a/c wasn’t on, we needed to have the window open. That made it a perfect temperature for sleeping, however the barking dogs in the middle of the night kept us awake.

Historic hotel with an incredible view of the Aqueduct. Hotel is inside of the old city walls. Beautiful outdoor bar. The hotel restaurant is one of the best places we have ever eaten. You do need a reservation to go there to the restaurant. Perfect location to walk all over town and see all of the sites. We loved it. Room was quiet and comfortable.

This property is modern, has great private parking, large spacious rooms and amazing coffee service throughout the grounds. Breakfast is excellent. 5-star hotel and experience. We arrived late and missed our dinner (which was included in the half board). The front desk told us that they would arrange to give us free lunch the next day, which was quite an impressive experience. The hotel is a short walk from the town center and major places of interest. Our double room is spacious. The bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower stall. The backdoor opens to the green backyard of the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

For a 5 star hotel I expected much more. For example, the spa space was closed right at the beginning of the summer, very disappointing. Expedia didn't tell about that, if had told I would have choosen another hotel. There was only one bathrobe and very few bath towels as well as floor cloths in the bathroom. The operating hours is bad, restaurant closes too early so as the swimming pool, considering that in the summer the sun goes down almost 10 pm. Despite that, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is great.

I had picked this hotel mostly because of the pool area. I knew the spa was closed but I didn’t plan to use it. But the noise from the construction/ renovation around the pool should have been advertised. I would not have selected this hotel knowing the pool area would be so noisy, it was impossible to enjoy it.

This was a well appointed hotel in a prime Evora location. Free parking was an added bonus since walking is the best option throughout your stay. The room was well designed and we enjoyed the small patio and garden. The breakfast options were vast and the service helpful and timely.
