Great location inside the town wall. Quiet at night.Has parking beneath the building for an additional fee.

Clean rooms, well appointed, great breakfast. Short walk to town attractions.

The hotel property around the pool and interior courtyard is well maintained. In front of the hotel is a poorly maintained green area, likely the towns responsibility, with piles of rubble and occasional trash.

We received a late checkout upon request. I would be happy to return.

Just on the border of town center. Close to bus station and train station. 10 min walk from bus station. We stayed in a suite with separate living and sleeping areas. very spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access to historic town center - 5 min walk. And a great breakfast with all sorts of things. Well worth staying there.

Best breakfast buffet ever

When we arrived, we were told our room was ready but when getting to our room, beds were not done. We were not offered another room but werecp told housekeeping would come back later. When returning later, only part of the housekeeping had been completed and an open water bottle was still in the fridge. All we got was an apologie, would have expected another upgraded room. Easy parking and great central location to visit Evora and the surrounding area.

Friendly welcome our only quibble was the serving staff at breakfast were a bit moody as they were trying to set up for lunch/dinner and we got the distinct impression they wanted us out. Also no decaffeinated on offer but plenty of choice otherwise.

Nice hotel within walled city

The hotel was lovely. The grounds were beautifully appointed the peacocks walking around were so pretty. The interior space was tastefully appointed. The bathroom was nice. My room didn't have climate control and it would have been nice to have control over the AC. I loved having the open windows, but there were several people outside very late and it was loud - but they were just having a fun time.

We had a decent stay here, but if I return to the area I might try another property. I felt the price was very reasonable, and we had breakfast and dinner included. The food service was very good. The property itself is a bit dated, but the room was spacious and comfortable with a nice patio. One big complaint was that wifi did not work in our room at all, we had to go into the hall for it to work. We only stayed one night, so did not have time to enjoy all of the amenities of the property, like the pool. I can see this being a very nice spot for a family trip.

Very clean spacious rooms. Great restaurant. Excellent position short walk to points of interest, shops and restaurant. Helpful pleasant staff and inexpensive parking on site. Our room had a lovely outlook through French doors over park and garden.
Only negative was that our room needed attention to a couple of minor maintenance matters and bright spotlight in garden outside our room shining through our window at night.

I'd say pass.

We had read great things about the hotel and were excited for our stay. We arrived in town around noon and parked at the hotel, knowing we were early for check in but not wanting to have to move our car mid afternoon. The welcome was luke warm at best. She kept calling my husband they wrong name and we kept saying that wasn't his name. She then said there was a mistake and they didn't have a room for us, very matter of factly. She wasn't particularly apologetic and directed us to their sister hotel in town and said it was 5 star and we would be staying there. Fine. Not getting the warmest welcome we went on our way. When we got to the new hotel they kept calling us the wrong name again. We kept repeating that wasn't us. Instead of a suite they gave us 2 rooms - not what we paid for. Wifi was spotty. The beds had sheets - no duvet or comforter. Pool area has been covered in a net (not shown in pics) and has construction going on (rather unsightly). It definitely did not feel like a 5 star experience. Breakfast was good - but I have to agree dark and had no ambiance (it was so quiet no one talked because the entire room would hear you). All in all, a very odd experience.

The room is a bit outdated and noisy. It seemed like the boiler was just next door. No iron or iron board in the room. Full set of toiletries not provided. The WiFi signal in the room was very weak. The toilet floor had hairs and was wet. The bed is comfortable and my room was facing a nice garden and Evora old wall.

We were traveling with our young daughter and the great folks working at this hotel made great efforts to engage with her throughout our stay.
The front desk was very helpful in arranging a winery tour and hailing taxis for us. The view from the hotel was fantastic and I’d highly recommend this hotel to travelers with families.

Beautifully situated in UNESCO site.

The hotel is lovely, with gardens backing up to the castle walls. It's easy to walk all around Evora safely and easily from the hotel. The hotel offers valet parking underground. The staff is friendly and attentive to guests.

We experienced some problems with our room. The mini fridge in the room had a half eaten chocolate bar in a torn wrapper in it when we arrived. The cold water tap in the room only gave a trickle of water after turning it around 3 times, then when you think you have it adjusted, it shoots water at great pressure that gets you wet. We found the bed hard but this is not unusual in Europe.

With hopes that the maintenance improves, we would stay again.

The rather bland exterior of this hotel is at contrast with the delights within. The interior has an air of tradition rather than modernity. Pleasant bar and restaurant both with very helpful staff. Evening meal (one only) was very good and priced at a similar level to those taken at local restaurants. I am sure that the bar terrace and pool area would be a great area to chill out at the end of the day during warmer periods of the year.

Room very clean but had no WiFi in our room... although we had some reception in our bathroom! One employee insisted our devices were the problem but another person admitted to previous complaints.

We booked into this hotel for two nights in the supreme suite.The staff were all very nice. The rooms are huge, the bathroom is beautiful, and a balcony off both the bedroom and sitting room. However, it by no means is my definition of a four star accommodation. The sofa is very uncomfortable as well as very dirty.The spare blanket needs to be laundered. The balcony table and chairs are low quality aluminum typical of an industrial sit lunchroom. The carpet runners down the corridors are stained, frayed and rippled. The food was mediocre at best.

We were booked at the M'AR De AR Muralhas. However due to overbooking they upgraded us to their other property M`AR De AR Aqueduto (beautiful 5 star hotel and spa). The staff was wonderful and both properties were beautiful. I would definitely recommend staying at either during your trip to Evora.

Well Located hotel, for exploring Evora

A pleasant stay for 2 nights. The hotel was well located to explore around Evora by foot. Quirky but comfortable and spacious room, although our requested double was not availble. Great breakfast with lots of variety and fresh made. It was very hot in Evora so the pool area facilities were most welcome. Relaxing, although drinks were very expensive for Portugal. Wi-Fi only works in rooms near the stairs. Overall a good experience i would rate 3.5 stars.

Evora is a beautiful world heritage town with a good choice of hotel accomodation. This hotel has a lot of character and it is a great, clean and peaceful place to stay that is very handy for the town. I enjoy this hotel when they get the booking right - by that I mean gviing you the type of room you have paid for. It's worth going for the 'superior' rooms as they seem to be at the back of the hotel with a lovely view of the garden. pool and part of the town wall. The accomodation is very comfortable and may look and feel a bit basic for what you pay but don't be put off - there is great charm to be enjoyed in that. The breakfast buffet this time was, as ever, quite something and the staff have always been helpful in getting me away early with a decent breakfast on those occasions when it was needed. This is my third visit to this hotel - I shall be visiting again.

We stayed overnight in Evora and chose this hotel due to its proximity to all attractions. It was very close to all the attractions and we walked around the old city. Beautiful gardens and pool area. Breakfast very basic but sufficient. My husband and I had 2 separate beds which were apart but as it was only for 1 night we did not change the room. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel!

We had a very good stay at this hotel. Arriving early, we were still taken care of with great hospitality. We were given towels for the pool and not charged for our car. Staff was very friendly and informative. Dinner at the hotel was excellent. Everything was in walking distance.
