Yaas Hotel was in a good neighborhood with many dining options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned early which was a plus. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had limited options and was below average. Take note that arrangement of the standing shower and toilet are separate and open directly into the room (no privacy)so the room is not conducive to family or friends who are staying together.

Excellent staff, room could use a small renovation, especially the shower door, hard to slide out. One of the security staff was not very pleasant, this was the day of March21st as I was checking out. He was constantly on his phone, used his foot to open and close the hotel door, did not move for housekeeper to map the front, did not greet guests. Other than that everyone else was great!

I have stayed at Yaas several times for work. It is perfect for what it is - a dorm room-size hotel room with the bare bones for people who need a place to crash and get breakfast. Staff is just lovely. I'd go back there just for them. They can also help with airport transport. I have however noticed that the infrastructure could use a facelift. Still I would go back. A good value in a lovely quartier - my favorite in Dakar with its dining options by the sea.

If you like being depressed, extremely small spaces and a prison like room environment then stay here because that is exactly what I and my wife felt like staying at this place. The room felt like a prison room. The shower was in a small separate room. The toilet was in a small cramped room and the sink was in the same room as the bed and that room was itself cramped. I had to literally leave the room right and walk up and down the block just not to be depressed. This is not a hotel for a family stay not even a couple stay.

This was the third or fourth time I stayed at Yaas Les Almadies. I have been coming to Senegal since the 1980s and this is by far my favorite hotel in Dakar - affordable, clean, safe, responsive and friendly staff, good breakfast included, and fabulous restaurants along the shore within walking distance. It’s a relatively new hotel located a short drive to the port to go Ngor Island and the African Renaissance Monument. Also, it’s in Almadies neighbourhood which is a club district so many options for bars, restaurants, and discos are nearby.
The surrounding area is affluent with many embassies, including the U.S. Embassy that is only a 10 minute walk away.
The only downside is that there’s no pool or phone in the room which is not very convenient.

The hotel was good. Sometimes the cleaners wouldn’t leave enough towels. When I left the guy at the front desk tried to charge me more than what I owed and when I asked him what the extra fees were for he couldn’t tell me so just make sure you pay attention to your bill and ask questions

a Formule 1 style, pretentious and stentatious designed by a fan of the 70's without concern for the customers!. the bed is on a platform against the wal so you have to climb over it and your partner to get to your place.. a toilets with sliding door not closing (inherent default to design) and a very small room.
