The evening staff at reception and especially Mohamed made my stay perfect. They were so helpful in many ways such as finding me a taxi for a decent and honest fare. The day time staff at reception seemed less helpful. Not as welcoming and not recommending reasonable taxi fares. Mohamed was exceptional though. Super friendly and also the evening staff who helped me connect my laptop to the WiFi and made me complimentary drinks.

I recently stayed at Pullman Dakar Teranga and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was smooth and efficient. A big thank you to the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I could need. I especially appreciated the attention to detail – from the quality toiletries to the fresh linens and daily housekeeping. I will definitely be returning and recommending Pullman Dakar Teranga to friends and family.

Did not find the level of overall value would expect with a Pullman property. Room was dark, dirty, stain on headboard, dirt on floor, knicks on wall. Strong food odor in hallway on floor.
Umbrellas at pool not properly weighted and blew over - bumping head while laying on deck chair. Staff inside not helpful with getting ice.

Front desk staff were delightful, helpful with luggage and very friendly during check in and out. They were bright spot during the stay.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this establishment. The hotel had a very elegant, nice and local vibe, you could really feel inmersed in a cultural experience. At the same time, the price of the food was very affordable and awesome quality, the staff was friendly, approachable and extremelly polite and caring. It was still a laid back atmosphere, where you could feel at home, among the authenticity of Dakar. I would certainly recomend it! Bocoum from reception was so polite, helpful, nice and professional, and Alphonse was so caring and helpful as well.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Wide menu (but for room service, double-check that the menus match up to ensure the dishes are available!)
The beach club was super relaxing and the breakfast buffet was really good. Front desk give good recommendations for the local area
Only cons for us - slight delay in housekeeping requests and the live music events were a bit short.
We will be back. Special shout out to Ann, Fode and Alex on the front desk for being very helpful and kind!

I liked the warm greetings from all the staff and attention to detail. The room was comfortable for two people. Disappointed that there wasn’t more English translations in menu etc. They have no option to receive western/international news besides BBC. ATM machines need to work on a regular basis.

The entire staff was fantastic! I would like to recognize Cisse, who works evening at the restaurant and Anne at the reception desk as doing a superb job. Mamadou also was excellent as well as Papis, a great guide, and also the lady who runs the breakfast. Housekeeping was very good too

One of the best properties and very safe. The only issues is, bring your own face towels/wash cloths. The staff provided one the first day but couldn’t understand when we requested more. Service at the restaurant is VERY slow and inconsistent. The staff however is very nice, very safe property, and very clean.

Terrible Hotel - to be avoided

I stayed one week at the Pullman Teranga. It was an horrible experience: the staff just ignore you when you have a request, they never respond to the phone, the pool was privatised, without any warning, so we could not enjoy it although we paid for it, 1 day of 2 they forget the water in the room, the door of my room was not closing properly so I felt very insecure at night. I sent 5 emails to get my flight ticket printed: never got the print. The air-conditioning is not efficient in the bedroom, the door of my bathroom was broken and the mirror was rust... so please, run away, there are other Luxury Hotels in Dakar.

I went to the Pullman Teranga and we were overall disappointed by the quality of this hotel.
It is supposed to be a 5 starts but the carpet is dirty, our rooms were not cleaned every day even when we put the sign to clean, we were out of bath towels for 2 days and the staff was very disorganized overall.

Location of the property was fine. Facilities were good. Not quite sure this is a 5 Star property. Definitely overpriced.

Front desk staff were the absolute worst. I read reviews about bad front desk service and had lowered expectations even then they couldn't even meet me up with low expectations. They were quite unhelpful; language and attitude were abrasive and sometimes downright unprofessional.

Staff at the restaurants were however excellent. Makes you wonder why the hotel's management will keep this set of people at the Front desk.

Would I stay here again. Yes. I would.

Property is an oasis within the hustle and bustle of a port city. I had a suite and welcomed with wine and fruit.
I didn’t arrive until 130am and checked in with ease. I should have booked a car service to and from the airport directly with the hotel, it would have saved me stress and money. Otherwise, the spa, pool, lounge, restaurants were an added touch for my holiday.

First trip to Africa for this American. The Pullman Teranga is a well run hotel with beautiful views of the ocean. Speaking some French Is helpful but not necessary. Housekeeping service was great. Lobby bartender makes a mean Negroni. Had a good business dinner in the restaurant. Enjoyed poolside drinks and food.

Forlorn 80s type hotel saved by excellent location

This seems to be an overpriced/ overevaluated 3 stars hotel (lobby - 4 stars) which survives because of its excellent location on the beach front where it also manages a decent swimming pool. Everything in the hotel feels 80s, and kind of nostalgic, but the views from rooms are priceless. The staff is quite remarkable, especially Gerti and Aminata at the reception desk.

Room was small, hard to move around. Shower did not drain so had to keep it short to avoid flooding the room. 3 of seven days housekeeping took away our towels and left only one bath towel. Perhaps we were to share? Food at beach bar is better than at restaurant. However breakfast buffet is good. Hard to feel value though as it costs $30 USD per person.

It's Africa. Something always will be missing: AC might not work in your room, hangers might not be in your closet, taxi doesn't come to the hotel main entrance, etc..
Main problem, nobody speak English, the rest with very minimum. Hard to ask & explain anything.
When travel to Africa, remember: pay more, get less!
For $450/night anywhere else you get much more & better service, do not expect this in Senegal.

Worst Check in in my life with HOTELS.COM

It was a terrible checkin. I was told by the employee that payment is not done though i already reserved and paid online on hotels.com.

Though i called hotels.com several time but problem was not solved and because it was late night check-in had to put 600Euro as a guarantee to check-in until payment is done by hotel.com.

Even the next day i had to do several international calls to hotels.com which caused additional cost on me to get the problem solved.

Eventually i wasted lot of time, money and had to skip several meetings and arrived late to airport to catch my flight as i was leaving on the same day.

Teranga at the Pullman

This was our second stay at the Pullman and incredibly it was even better second time around. The staff couldn't do enough for us and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and help us out. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the dinner menu is superb with inventive and delivious meals. The outdoor pool is fantastic and so nice to either have a proper swim or just relax by the poolside. The bedrooms are great too.

Wonderful hotel with \"boutique\" vibe

This was my third trip to Dakar but my first time staying here. It is a lovely hotel with incredibly confirmable beds, a beautiful terrace overlooking the water, and lots of amenities. It has a trendy \"boutique\" vibe although it is a pretty big place. The breakfast was extensive and a great array of creative juices and healthy options and the treadmills in the workout room have the best view I have ever had at a hotel.

this hotel is so nice. Firstly, the interiors are amazing. it has a good mix of African contemporary and modern. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. The bar man made me one of the best mojitos I've had to date. The food is nice, a wide selection in the breakfast buffet (although the dinner menu is a bit limited and expensive). There are two pools; one infinity pool for the hotel guests only and another pool at the Terranga beach club which the hotel guests have access to. Food here is cheaper than the hotel (it's more comfort food and in a more casual setting ) but is still nice. My faviourite part fo the hotel had to be the welcome trolley with free cookies/ biscuits and juice and hand towels for when you arrive back at the hotel. At the reception there is also free bottles of water and flavoured water (plus mints and candies) for guests at all time. I would definitely recommend this place. It's not necessarily 'central' but it is close enough to everything and taxis are very affordable ( although you will have to haggle as they charge tourists extremely high prices, especially if you don't speak French/wollof and you don't look senegalese)

I booked a standard room but was upgraded to a Junior Suite overlooking the ocean! It was lovely. The view, the tasteful furnishings......the hotel was recently renovated and its a great improvement. Staff were also very helpful, and arranged to have a garment pressed for an event in less than an hour after our check in. Would certainly stay there again!

Rude staff ruined my last days in Dakar

As a returning custlmer, I made a booking for this hotel and there was apparently a price mistake. Result was an ironic and non professional reception team asking me to contact my agency coz they refused to accept the price WRITTEN ON MY CONFIRMATION. ( I had to download skype to make that phone call..nope, they didnt offer that I use the reception phone. Nope, they didnt seem to care either) Even worse, hotel manager tried to underestimate my intelligence by ironic comments and false information ( simply not wanting to assume his hotel`s misprice) Definitely not the kind of attitude -efficiency- respect you would expect from a hotel of this level. They simply showed their real face and their low customer service standards when things went wrong...
