For a hotel, supposedly \"de luxe\", i was disapointed. Its safe with security, breakfast is decent. But my bed sheets had stains. Water from shower leaking out and staying on the ground...making stains on the tiles, and keeping the room humid. The pictures are deceiving. Basic hotel that could use some updating. However, for the price it’s good for sleeping (outside noise gets loud) and showering. I spent most of my time away from the property.
They do a great job with breakfast. Good start to the day.

Nice place to stay for a night in downtown Dakar. The staff is very friendly/helpful, the room was clean an the bathroom updated. We asked for extra pillows and a towel and they were delivered promptly. The breakfast buffet on the 11th floor gave a beautiful view of the city, but the food could've been better. It was ok, but some hot dishes were not replenished (eggs, sausage) and others looked soggy and overcooked. Otherwise, it's a good place to stay!

The hotel Fleur De Lys Plateau is conveniently located in a neighborhood that feels safe and has easy access to the port and other sites of Dakar. The room was comfortable though a bit small. We enjoyed the excellent buffet breakfast which was included in the room price ($100/night). The staff was professional, helpful and friendly.

Ac was down entire floor for too long i didnt enjoy my 1st day . A good hotel that i used to love staying but i didnt go there for few years but they need to work on planned maintenance to keep it clean and well maintained and plesant .

I had roaches in my bathroom. They tried charging us tourism tax and VAT tax on two seperate transactions after they took payment for our 3 night stay at check in. The staff was rude and incompetent.

I stayed at the Hotel Fleur de Lys for four nights in April 2021. The hotel was generally quite good and offered the full range of services I would expect from a business hotel: a very full breakfast buffet, in-room safe and refrigerator, money exchange, assistance with arranging transport to and from the airport, and excellent wifi. The front office staff were responsive and professional. All-in-all I was quite satisfied with my stay. That said, there were a few small issues which detracted somewhat from the hotel experience. I was unable to open the in-room safe on arrival, and in spite of two separate requests for it to be repaired, no one ever came to fix it, and I was unable to use the safe during my stay. I believe that was an issue with the repair person rather than with the front desk staff. Also, a power outage just as I was preparing to check out made it impossible for me to pay with a credit card, since the hotel had no back-up power system and their credit card machine and internet service were off-line. At some point during my last day at the hotel the air conditioning stopped working, and I was reluctant to ask the desk to service it, given my experience with the in-room safe. Fortunately the weather outside was cool, and I opened the balcony door to cool off the room. I would certainly stay here again, especially in consideration of the limited range of options in downtown Dakar.

1. Hotel is in good central location with in the walking distance to local market and few very good restaurants.
2. The area is relatively quiet but this will depend on which side of the hotel you get your room.
3. Room was functional and comfortable but relatively dark.
4. The reception staff was helpful but not all members speak English so if you can brash-up on your French.
5. Good breakfast with reasonable choices on the second top floor of the hotel with helpful staff
6. Great view of Dakar from the breakfast room!

So my wife and I spent about 7 nights at the hotel. Everyone, from the guard and security outside to the front desk, to the bell boys, room service, cleaning staff, and breakfast buffet servers were extremely nice and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As a fellow Senegalese, I was very proud to see my people handle their business and work in a friendly and very professional way. And the GM was outstanding. He took the time to greet us and always had a minute to chat with us and make sure everything was on point.
Big hello to the front desk staff especially Aissatou who made us feel very welcome.

Pretty good hotel with a wonderful staff

First, the room keepers were excellent, and the front desk staff was diligent and polite. The waitstaff was always courteous and patient with my poor French which is definitely a plus for a tired traveler. The chef could spend more time selecting some new dishes to try at breakfast as it's a bit tedious but still tasty. Training on the meaning of Gluten Free would be good as no one seemed to understand - even with my celiac card explaining my requirement. I was always impressed that the man taking care of my room was quick, efficient, and timely - he could do the room while I was at breakfast and he did a great job in the process. The front door minders were great! They could summon a taxi quickly and do the negotiations before I even jumped in the car. Overall it was excellent, and I would gladly return.

Okay for the price

The front desk staff were very friendly. However, a solid 5-star goes to housekeeping. They were excellent!!
On the flip side, the rooms were fairly small especially the bathroom. Once thing I would recommend managent to replace are the TOWELS. They are super old and very hard. The bed is okay but the pillows aren't comfortable. Dakar has a lot of nice hotels with outstanding amenities so Fleur de Lys needs to catch up, not so much with the 5-stars but with other 3 and 4 atars.

Five star in my book

This is not a five star hotel, but an excellent hotel none the less. The breakfast is good, the restaurant on the 12th floor is surprisingly good with an incredible view of Dakar and the ocean. This will for me be a five star hotel in service. When I asked for
A late checkout due to health issues, there was no hesitation. Service is what makes for a hotel and trumps a few less stars.

It's pretty comfortable for a new hotel, but for a 4 star standard, more is expected.
The security check at the entrance is quite intempestive.
Nice staff, very prompt to solve problems when reported.
The IT staff is a nice and efficient one.
The food is ok, but not exceptional as announced.

Great location, but the staff upon arrival was quite rude and pushy.

I do not speak French, though of course, I used greetings, etc. in French, but a smile still goes a long way, even if we have different language--not so with FdL staff. I had booked a \"luxury room\" because I wanted the extra space due to high workload and need to spread out, and was given what DID not seem to fit description--was treated as a burden when I asked and WAS moved--to the same room on a different floor. No sea view, no bathrobe, no kindness. Then I met a friend in town who was at the same hotel in a \"double room\" and I stopped by: Identical to mine. Stay somewhere else! Go up to Amadies!

Central hotel in Dakar

My husband and I stayed here 5 nights in March. The hotel is very comfortable and centrally located. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone and is served on the top floor which offers a good view of the city. The staff were helpful and quick to deal with the a/c when it stopped working.

Drive in - Firstly the hotel was very poorly sign posted, I think we must have passed it twice.
Staff - Reception Lady was fantastic - rest medocre.
Room - Comfortable and all worked, but no guest directory or even info on how to call reception so this needs to be sorted out asap
Food - The food and drinks were massivly over priced a beer was 4* more than the restaurnts in the area and so was the food. This is one of the poorest areas of the hotel.
Breakfast - a mix of hot and cold that was resonable but not well presented and the buffet was stuffed into a corner - service was not great.
Car parking - not secure and outside
Overall - Room and reception good but the hotel is not value for money and is massivly over priced

今回は一階に宿泊したが、地下の排水溝に近いのか、洗面台から排水の臭いが出てくるのは残念だった(中層階だった前回はこのようなことはなかった)。

Unfortunately our stay started very badly. We were forced to pay 10% tax, even though we had a receipt showing that we had already paid that tax. It was a shame, because it is otherwise a good hotel. Decent room, good beds and excellent breakfast.
