We had a very nice stay at Hue.
Pros: The rooms are of a decent size with comfortable beds, buffet breakfast is ok (drink and coffee options could be improved), friendly and lovely staff, free top ups of water for your room any time.
Cons: alcoholic beverages (cocktails) are very very weak, I guess indicative of the price, only one wine option in the restaurant, if you are on ground floor, it is noisy, staff being loud at 6 am in the morning in the corridor, the spa only accepts cash but I was only told after the treatment.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, nice amenities. Pool and bar on top floor. I’ve stayed at five star hotels in major cities and they don’t compare to the quality of service at this hotel. Another bonus is it’s very close to the airport and a mall for food/shopping.

the bathroom was setup in weird way, at least for me. it should have a lock and should have a privacy not just a curtain which is outside of the bathroom. i can't remember if there was an exhaust in the toilet. there is only one AC vent and is pointing only to the beds, leaving the bathroom and toilet with no cool air, so the temperature is different, and that causes my body to adjust and i got sick.

My second overnight stay, spanning 2 years, at Hue Hotel before flying back to Manila. Room was really well kept, with attention to details. Polite staff, reasonably priced rooms, and an in house restaurant that serves a well balanced breakfast buffet option for a small fee.
I will definitely have my 3rd stay here for my next visit in Puerto Princesa City.

The staff here was perfect! The room had a layout that worked well for our group, the breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the rooftop pool was so nice to lounge around in. The pungent moldy smell in the hallways and the elevators was the only real issue. If they can get it fixed the place will be just about perfect!

We had a couple of minor issues here, no wakeup call, which we'd booked for an early start tour and a lack of communication from hotel about the tour cancellation. They should have advised tour cancelled when we came down to breakfast and at a minimum, put a notice advising guests in reception, lifts, under guests door etc. Pool area was nice and drinks at happy hour are great value, 2 cocktails for about 200php. Beds are very comfy, but as noted by other guests, room smelt damp and mouldy. There is evidence of damp and mould on 3rd floor corridor ceiling. Massages are great here on 5th floor and good value. Aside from Robinsons there's not really anywhere you can walk to. We used to get the Jeepneys downtown to go out for food and drink, about 12-15 php per person one way, though it could be a challenge to get a Jeepneys back, they were often very full. Hotel staff and manager Karen are all lovely. We had to extend our stay a few times, first as river tour was cancelled, then because of typhoon kalmaegi.
But Karen was very accommodating, letting us stay in same room.
This place could be something very special with a few tweaks. For example at breakfast my eggs on 2 occasions weren't cooked as requested ( poached, well done) or mistakenly given to other guests... Solution have table numbers and slips of paper with tick boxes for type of eggs you want and how you want them cooked, with ingredients list too, omlettes, well done, ham, egg, cheese etc.

The hotel was great. The restaurant was not so great my first was smoked pork ribs the flavor was good but very dry. The second meal I ordered a Caesar salad didn’t come with a Caesar dressing but an oil base dressing. The third meal I ordered was a four cheese pizza I think it was 90% mozzarella cheese and 10% the other 3 cheeses. I would recommend the hotel the restaurant not so much.

Sadly this property has no proper Reception Desk - there is a table with two staff running around fiddling through guest registration papers to find yours. Have no systematic Filling system. Most disorganized reception I have ever come across a 4 rated Hotel.
Rooms have tiled floors but no slippers so you have to walk around with wet feet once you get out of shower.
Every request for assistance had to done twice !

Hotel is nice and decently clean but the only thing is that the hotel is near to the end of town so if you planing a night in town it cost you a bit to just get from hotel to town or anywhere. But the hotel have a convenient mall next to it so if you missing something or forgot something you can grab it from there.

I would rate this hotel 5stars except the bathroom situation. I personally prefer to have the bathroom sink i side of the bathroom rather than outside. (Wash hands first after using the bathroom). Otherwise, our stay was great, staff very helpful, polite and attentive. Great breakfast buffet. I would stay here again.

They should improve…

First time to see that the room CR lavatory is almost beside the bed (few steps away) not inside the CR. I dont know the logic. Maybe to save on space.

The food is so-so. Recycled the following day…sample is, chicken adobo and beef patty with gravy on Day 1, Day 2 it's chicken adobo rice and Beef Picadillo (which didnt taste like the usual picadillo).
There were fruit flies flying at the bread section (jam section) that I heard one of the foreigner was complaining.

Rooftop pool and bar very enjoyable. Rooms are very clean, mattress and bedding comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good with different options daily. Lechon was very delicious never thought of it as a breakfast item but enjoyed every last bite. The Staff was always very helpful with everything. The room was great and the view would have been great because of the big beautiful trees, but the run down buildings next to their property ruined the view. For the most part the staff was great. There was this one incident where I was standing at the desk waiting for the staff to finish with a guest in front of us. Along came a rude lady just as he finishes with that guest and cut in front of us. The staff just went straight to her and helped her, leaving us standing there. There is nothing worse than rude people..

My wife was lied to by the staff while i was waiting on the Van to pick me up at the airport. My son and I both watched the Van drive away and the staff was telling my wife the driver is waiting on us. it took him about 40 minutes to return. while getting from the staff he is waiting on me in this area.

Very nice fairly priced property with sizable rooms, all the amenities, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about. I was a bit surprised when they indicated I would have to pay a fee in the event of a lost room key card (fortunately I didn’t lose it). Next to Robinson’s mall and a 300 peso taxi ride from the airport

Lovely hotel with nice pool. Very friendly staff. Recommend booking excursions from the friendly staff here. Right beside mall (otherwise not much close to hotel). Vans constantly passing - 10 / 15 peso to go downtown (no need to take a trike as they aren't allowed on the main road and will rip off foreigners.)

The hotel was perfectly located close to downtown puerto princesa. It was close to the airport other places for shopping and eating. They offered paid tours at the front desk lobby which was very convienient if you want to visit the underground river. They also provided me the best and most affordable massage/spa experience I've ever had. (Seriously I had a signature massage that lasted 2 hours and I almost fell asleep) Unfortunately, the food options were lacking, and what was available was mediocre at best and borderline disgusting at worst. The gym might be the most disappointing feature of my whole stay. No bench, squat rack, weight machines, or treadmill. There was a stationary bike that looked liked it was bought in the 1940's (It had no monitor, the metal had chipped paint and rust on it.) I stayed 3 nights here and took full advantage of what they offered. If your looking for a last minute hotel close to other sites this spot is decent.
