Very quiet which was exactly what we needed
Close to the town centre , which meant i could enjoy a drink which is very rare for me .
My partner complained the bed was too hard , i found it to be fine ( she just likes to complain )
Plenty parking round the back .
Would definately return

Very Good Value for Money.

I had a 2 night business trip so cost was important. The cost was within my allocated budget. The room was well kitted out. Kettle, fridge, ironing facilities, coffee,tea, table to work at, comfortable bed and a tv. Even had a clock alarm at side of bed and a hairdryer. Towels aplenty and a wonderful high pressure shower.

I am sure I have not included everything but would highly recomend this guest house to anyone in oban for a short stay.

Disappointing

Although I had been told in advance that a contactless system of check in was operated, I had been moved to the guest house next door (same owners), advised by e-mail earlier on the day of arrival. As I was driving for most of the day and arrived in pouring rain, I hadn't seen this email, so this wasn't the best start. Added to this, the parking instructions were inside the property, so I had to find somewhere to park in the street before I found my entry instructions, by telephoning the contact number.
I had booked two nights stay here, so was expecting to see my hosts at some stage, but saw no-one from arrival at 5pm on Monday to when I left on Wednesday at 9 am.
Although the room was ok, the property is a little old-fashioned, and the glass skylight on the sloping roof was not conducive to a good night's sleep as it rained all night on both days! There was a distinct lack of plug points for charging phones etc.
On the plus side, it is within easy reach of the town centre, with a good number of restaurants.

Comfortable small guesthouse, nice and quiet

Stayed in the triple room (three twin beds) with two teenagers on vacation and the room was perfect for us. Cozy, comfortable beds. Quiet street, easy walk to George Street and the ferry terminal. Super nice innkeepers. Would stay here again!

Close to the centre of Oban - great for accessing ferries, shops, tourist information etc.
Had everything we needed.
The guest house's parking lot was tricky to find, but once found we were grateful for free parking.

Not people friendly

Contactless checkin. Owners want your money but don't want to see you, they are operating an out of date covid restrictions. Not a friendly place to stay, parking difficult to get to but could be a lot easier with human contact. Clean comfortable room but on the small size.

Cameron Guest House Oban

Had a one night stay in Oban after some days travelling around Skye. Chose Cameron Guest House because of the reviews, proximity to centre, the price and also for the free on-site parking.
Booked a twin room which was very nice indeed. Very clean and comfortable, superb shower and lovely toiletries provided.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, it was a contact free check in and stay, ie we never met the hosts. Room was small but well appointed in that it had everything you needed with plenty of tea, coffee etc, including ground coffee for the provided cafetière. Bed was comfortable and towels and linen very good. Great position to easily walk into town.

I really enjoyed my stay at Cameron Guest House. Talk about super clean. It was immaculate. I just love that it’s a young family operating here. I checked in a little late so I missed the owners but they left me all the instructions I needed and it was super easy. Also great communicators via email, if like me and you don’t get a chance to meet them. Wifi - Great. Free parking behind the building also if you’re heading in with a car. Close to all you need in Oban. McCaigs Tower, Oban Distillery, restaurants, cafes, shops, pubs, you name it, at your doorstep. A very peaceful and enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Great guesthouse in Oban

We were pleasantly surprise with Cameron Guest House. We were welcomed warmly and checked in. The room was comfortable and quite big enough for our needs. It had tea and coffee making facilities and a small table and chairs should we wish to sit at them. The house was clean and tidy and we were very satisfied with the standard of presentation. Would recommend this guesthouse without hesitation. Had great fish n chips down the road. We didn’t stay in Oban long enough.

The room was really cute and well set up for three single travelling females. It had a good sized bathroom, comfortable single beds, a fridge, and lovely glassware to drink from. A nice touch to have plunger coffee provided.

Wonderful Guest House in Oban

Fabulous guest house, with a warm and friendly service. Well maintained good specification and clean accommodation, with free off street parking and a five minute walk into town. I would definitely use this guest house again if I was in the area. It made the overnight stay in Oban a pleasure

We only stayed for one night but it's a perfect base to explore Oban from. The room was excellent and had everything we needed. We never met Eilidh but communication was great, the key was waiting for us on arrival. Highly recommended.

A lovely B&B in a nice location in Oban. An easy walk to the pier. I especially appreciated having parking on site. The room was comfortable and clean - this was actually the only place that we stayed out of 12 during our trip to the UK that provided its guests with a top sheet, which these Americans greatly appreciated!

A good value stay

A well located guest house, within a few minutes walk of most amenities in Oban. Parking behind the premises was a boon, if something of a meander to get to! Warm welcome by the host - bit of a climb to the bedroom, but it proved comfortable and well appointed, with a pin neat bathroom en suite. Serviced daily. The little fridge proved an excellent bonus. More than adequate and good value.

Peaceful stay in Oban

Very relaxing stay in Oban at Cameron House. Room on the first floor was very spacious and had all amenities you would expect. Within a 5 minute walk to the town centre with great views across the Oban Bay. Eilidh the owner is lovely and so is Karen who helps with the guest house so a massive Thanks to you both. I even left a couple of T-shirts by accident in the room which they quickly posted to me. Will stay here again if I ever come back to Oban and it's one of the many towns in West Scotland to visit.

Altfor lite informasjon om stedet da vi sjekket inn. Brått måtte vi kaste oss rundt på morgenen pga tidlig utsjekktid. Ingen frokost tilgjengelig og dårlig wi-fi. Det regnet og det var varmt, men vi kunne ikke ha vinduet åpnet for da regnet det inn. Vi fikk den siste parkeringsplassen i bakgården. De som kom etter oss var ikke så heldige...Det positive var beliggenheten; svært kort avstand til Oban sentrum.
