Owners of the hotel are very nice, and we wanted to like the room very much. The room was clean, the sheets were clean and ironed, the toilet room was clean, however the bathroom (although also visibly clean) had a terrible septic smell mixed with mold smell. When I looked up, the seam along the ceiling as well as some parts of the wall had what appeared to be a black mold. The room simply needs a thorough cleaning and renovation. I will not go back to this hotel.

If you have limited ability this is not a suitable venue, no entrance was level and we needed assistance to enter and exit the property my wife felt upset by it all. The manageress was extremely good but the hotel needs to make adjustments. The photo on Expedia was most misleading and will be very wary about future bookings

Phillipe the receptionist was very informative. Told us of 2 local restaurants, we tried both and they were excellent. He was very helpful and gave us a map of the area to use. All round person you need on the front desk.
Very close to the Palace of Versailles. Close to local bakeries for breakfast.

The Perfect Stay

This was the perfect stay, we could not have picked a better hotel in Versailles. The bedroom and bathroom were impeccably clean, the lobby was clean and cozy, the staff spoke English and were so helpful and nice. The train station is a 5 minute walk and the C train runs to Paris every 10 minutes. There are so many restaurants and patisseries in the area, the area felt very safe even at night. The palace was a 10 minute walk through a very cute park. The only thing I would have changed would be a more comfortable bed. The bed was very stiff, it was like sleeping on a stone slab with sheets. Other than that, everything was a 10/10 for us. If we make it back to France we'll be staying here again.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. We arrived early (before check-in) and they stored our luggage while we walked the area. The location was ideal and we felt very safe. The building was old, but that’s what you come to expect in Versailles. The room was adequate size for 2 people, bed was comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. We would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel with great proprietors, always a friendly welcome as we came and went.
Room was large, by European standards, and a reasonably sized bathroom.
Location is excellent, Versailles Palace just a few blocks away, as is the Rive Gauche train Station, Chantiers is about a 12 minute walk. Many Boulengeries and various restaurants, all within easy walking distance and the Notre Dame Market, only 10 minutes away, on the days it operates. Would definitely stay here again..

Good position to visit Versailles. Large car park 200 metres away that was quite reasonable for a long stay.
Room was clean, bed comfortable.

The staff couldn’t be friendlier and happy to help. The property is a bit tired but clean and everything works. Bed was comfortable, towels were soft and shower gel was nice. Within easy walking distance to the Palace of Versailles and the towns historical landmarks. We walked around the town and were fascinated by its history and architecture. Had a delicious dinner at Chez Lazare.

The hotel is well placed in the St. Louis district of Versailles with a good number of bars, restaurants and local shops nearby. Our room was comfortable, including the bed and pillows, spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean, modern with hair dryer and the shower worked fine, towels provided were of so so quality, but adequate. Also had a fridge, kettle and other facilities available to use, where required. It was much better overall than other similarly or somewhat higher priced hotels we have stayed at in Versailles before and we have already booked to stay there again!The staff were friendly. Only very minor negatives were: 11am check out, rather than 12; having to enter through a locked door with a code after 10pm (worked fine, though); the fact that the lead on the hair dryer my wife specially took with her could not reach in front of a mirror from any of the plugs in the room; very slow closing door in room (and the entry door used after 10pm), only one bedside table, but could have moved a room chair, if required.

This is the first European hotel I've stayed at in 30 years. Like pretty much all European hotels it's tiny. The toilet even more so. That being said, I loved it. Uneven spiral staircase, lift that only holds 2 people. It's so nice not being in a cookie cutter Hilton or other chain. We had a great breakfast and the proprieter served us home made marmalade. Sylvie, our propieter, was so gracious and helpful. She helped us figure out we didn't want to take the train to Paris when there was a strike and gave us a lot of insights on where to go. Wonderful host. I'd stay here again in a hot second. Also, go up the street away from Versailles palace and there are little mom and pop fruit stands and shops I didn't see till the last day.

This was an excellent hotel in a wonderful location to visit the Palace of Versailles. They said it was an 8 minute walk to the Palace and they were right. The room was lovely, the breakfasts were superb with a lovely variety of items to eat - crossaints, pain au chocolat, meats and cheeses, orange juice, tea/coffee with even a piece of home made cake. The hosts, Philippe and Sylvie, were lovely and were very welcoming - it was my birthday so had a little card and Birthday decoration in our bedroom. They also helped my husband and I get back to the airport by organising a taxi to pick us up from the hotel for our return home. Overall a wonderful birthday spent in a lovely part of France, the Palace was beautiful and the hotel was great - an unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

While this is an older property, it’s impeccably clean and the owners are always onsite to assure a great stay. The bed was very comfortable. I was concerned when I saw the age of the hotel, but they’re obviously keeping up with mattresses! This hotel is a real value, only 10 minutes walk from the Chateau. And have their breakfast—tradition European breakfast and inexpensive.

A good location a short walk from the centre of Versailles and the palace, with paid car parking just around the corner. Friendly welcome from staff. The room itself was a bit shabby and run down, with a less than comfortable mattress and a slightly damp smell; the small bathroom was clean but run down, with a very small shower.

We stayed at several Hotels in Europe and hands down this was the cleanest room we stayed in - the size was bigger then the other hotel rooms we stayed in and we were centrally located lots to do around us - food - entertainment - Versailles’s all just a short walk. Also we left a pair of sneakers and the front desk kept emailing us and calling to come get the shoes - we wouldn’t of realized where we left them if they wouldn’t of contacted us. The front desk staff are amazing if you go to versailles’s you have to stay at the royal everything about are stay was top notch from customer service to a comfy room.

We booked 3 rooms. After evening in Fountain Show , we asked at 9:40 pm. to sit in common area just to talk about day experience. We were tald that after 10 pm we can't sit in there for security reasons. The common area is on first floor. All rooms on upper floors. Common area for enjoy company after the day. Hotel purposely keep people out of it. Never stay in hotel with such restrictions. Night Porter talked to us like we asked for something extraordinary.

Terrible experience. Hotel mgmt decided to inform us only 2 weeks in advance that hotel would not be able to provide luggage storage on the day we are planning to visit the Palace. It was too late of a notice to find another hotel for the same price and hotel staff was utterly unhelpful and completely unbothered about helping us find a luggage storage service. We had to spend extra 40 euros to get back to paris to store our luggage somewhere and come back to Versailles. Absolutely ruined our plans. Location of hotel is nice but rooms are in deteriorated condition. No AC for hot days, dripping showers and no noise proofing so get ready for a noisy night. Would not recommend.

The hotel is very basic. The room and bedding were clean but the bed not comfortable, the shower was spraying water all around, and the carpet seemed to be coming from a different era. I have asked the owner to give me a quiet room (the hotel was empty) but woke up to the sound of construction and workers at the window, If you are normally a customer of three-four stars hotels, do not make my mistake looking for a high rating of this hotel It is not worth it. It was strange to see the uninspiring supermarket bread in baskets for breakfast while this hotel is surrounded by wonderful local bakeries. It was tolerable for a night, but not again. Plenty of lovely hotels in versailles

Fabulous little hotel in the heart of everything

Check in was a breeze - the woman at the front desk was incredibly warm and welcoming, giving us a map and directions to several areas that we wanted to visit and telling us about what was going on at the chateau that evening. She was wonderful! Hotel shows some wear and tear, but room was very clean and the bed was super comfy! We opted for the petit dejeuner (breakfast) and were not disappointed. We will definitely stay here again!

Propre et très bien situé. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques. Le gros bémol est que l'établissement à vraiment besoin de rénovations. Il y a un peu de moisissures dans la salle de bain, vieux tapis etc. Il faut juste ne pas avoir les attentes trop haute, c'est bien situé et ça s'arrête pas mal là.
