Shower Gel was empty on arrival and not refilled during the stay, on booking ‘designer toiletries’ were offered but nothing was available in the room only 2 small bottles of body lotion. Food in the restaurant was ok just not very hot. Walls in the rooms are quite thin and you can hear people in the next room - On this basis I would look for an alternative hotel.

Our stay was excellent from the very first moment.The staff was very kind and helpful.All the facilities were clean and in good condition.We only had our breakfast in the hotel which offered a good variety and fresh selection of delicious food.I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.It was a great value of money and the location is good,close to transport hubs if you want to look around in Budapest.

Just a bus ride on the Buda side of Budapest. One bus into Pest 108E or 2 buses. 15 min walk to the Budapest-Kelenford station and Etene Shopping Mall.
Room was nice and spacious. We were right next to the restaurant and we thought it would have been noisy, but it surprisingly wasn’t and turned out to be very convenient. The spa and pool was on the other side of the hotel offering loads of spa facilities and a modest swimming pool. All areas were clean and tidy. Special mention of Dorina the receptionist who checked us in was very helpful and offered local information about travel options. Breakfast was good, loads of options. Dinner at the Essence was also lovely and affordable.

Nice one night stay. Convenient close to the Kelenfold bus station. Room and balcony pleasant. Nice view of trees. Pool/spa nice. Breakfast included quite good, though we found the restaurant for dinner had relatively limited options- beef stew was good, caesar salad not so much.

We’ve had different experiences, first we had a room on the groundfloor, where were ants, and it was really loud due to the traffic on the street and due to the parking place. When we asked the reception to help, they were extremely professional and friendly, we’ve received a new room on the second floor and we could choose from two different option. The hotel itself is also not so modern, and the breakfast is fine but not so variable.

Hotel is in middle of renovation’s,room we stopped in for a week was ok, and well equipped, pillows weren’t the best for us, the breakfast is a bit hit and miss for the star rating it is. Full marks for the wellness area. The receptionist were very helpful. Also if visiting Budapest centre , a little out of town although transport as usual is spot on, 25 mins too the centre.

Lovely hotel and stay only marred by them wanting €30 for an early check in. The location is in a suburb and infrastructure and transport system seemed a bit piecemeal though that's not the hotels fault.

That all said I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to people after a quality hotel away from the tourist trap.

I asked for a late check out when booking and asked again the day of our departure but they could only give me the room till 12 noon. I had to wait till 4 pm for my husband to return from his meetings. The hotel is in the middle of no where next to a highway.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's a bit worn down in some areas, the wellness area had two out of four saunas not working and the bathroom had some black mold on the tub. But for the price it was great. And the service and people who worked at Rubin was excellent! Everyone spoke english and was helpfull and smiling. We totally fell in love with the bartender Erica, she was just a sweetheart.
Breakfast was great. A very impressive selection, with something for everyone.
The hotel is situated outside towncenter, but it's only a 15 minutes busride, to the metro and trams going where ever you want to go. Or you can just take a cap 10 minutes and end up in the center. We used the public transport, it was easy.
The hotel has a beautifull garden and at night it's totally quiet. Except from the cicadas.

Avoid avoid avoid! Not a 4 star hotel.

OMG dated hotel, red isn’t a nice colour for deco in rooms. Really poor service in reception as chronically understaffed, rooms basic, warning not to open window due to flies outside, no irons, uncomfortable beds and overall the worse ever 4 star hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Check in and out the worst ever. Waited 45 mins. Also deposit given in euro and returned in dollars and despite their mistake and arguing I was wrong! Cleaners were nice and friendly and rooms cleaned really good. Maybe cleaners should run the hotel. Breakfast basic and tasteless! Avoid at all costs. Location is really in the middle of nowhere!

The room I got was in the ground floor next to the entrance and was very noisy , I never entered the room as I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep there , the receptionist didn’t seem to care and when I asked to exchange rooms he said none was available. My colleague arrived a few hours later , got a lousy room as well but surprisingly they could give him another room that was perfect .. shame on them !

What a bargain!

We knew the hotel was slightly outside the centre, but decided that the difference in price would cover any taxis we might need and leave loads for spending. The breakfast was included and was absolutely outstanding in variety and quality. Free use of the spa was a bonus and there is a bowling alley on site( we didn’t use/ see it.) The desk staff responded immediately when we had requests. The room we had was huge with a lovely wet room.

Rubin Hotel.

Eight day stay.A very good hotel regarding the fitness and spa facilities. 1st class massage from Niki which I would definitely recommend. The menu was great value and had everything on it that I like and reasonably priced. To say it was close to the city was a big exaggeration, one bus ride plus a 30 minute walk. Not what I would call close. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again. Many thanks.

Very good hotel! Great value for the money.

Location is not great, but we travelled by car, and every location in the city was close (for example 15min from Vazi street). Parking was 5eur per day, which is not bad.
Hotel is nice, but needs renovation. It looks a bit older, everything, outside, inside, rooms... It has all you need in a room, coffee machine, 2 TV-s, bathrooms are fully equipped, and rooms are very big, bigger then in usual hotels (we were in Junior Suite).
Breakfast was excellent.

And, everything was very clean!

I would recommend this hotel. And, if I come again in Budapest, I would first check this hotel for stay.

In general we can't complain. I was a very nice stay and all hotel employees took good care of us, especially at the reception. However it is visible that the Hotel's best days are behind, and a lot of things are just old.
Annoying was that the windows are very thin and you can hear everything from outside (street). Definitely to recommend is the massage in the SPA center from Isabella. :)

Cockroaches!!!!!!

Cockroaches in my room! Yeah! At first I just saw one in the bathroom so I killed it and went about my day. Then later that night, I saw two more crawling around the headboard of my bed. Before I could kill em, they scurried under the bed! Needless to say I had quite the restless night. I mean, I knew they weren't actually crawling on me, but every tickle or touch of the sheet sent a shiver down my spine (you know what I mean!). The hotel moved me to another room, which ended up being without issue, however... if there are cockroaches in one room.. you can bet it's probably not just there! The entire hotel looks like it's very old and aged, so I'm not surprised.

EXTREMELY HELPFUL KIND staff. People were very nice and that was highly helpful. Unfortunately the center is off the beaten path. There is a bus stop near the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious. The bathroom is great with an over head and hand held shower. The beds are adequate. The room rate is good and there is a bar and restaurant. If you don't mind being off of the tourist path then this may be a good place to stay.

The hotel is right on one of the major routes into and out of Budapest. My room faced out towards the road and tne constant sirens of emergency vehicles was disconcerting.

The restuarant is nice but with a limited menu. However the food was good.

they did not inform me that I left important documents in the hotel, I lost one day, as I had to travel back to Budapest, even if after check out I spent the whole they in Budapest. Was hard to find the wellness part, sign was not perfect, but the hotel was excellent, clean, and good location. I will go back.

This is not a hotel, this is a DUMP !!!

Please save yourself from a misery. This hotel is for those who like the following: dark rooms with no sunlight, uncomfortable beds, bed linens that are made of plastic, uncomfortable pillows, terrible showers with mold infestation, old, very very old furniture and a bunch of other pleasant things. The one and only good thing about this hotel is that it has a relatively clean and professional wellness center (gym, sauna, pool). Other than that it is a complete disaster !!!

Rubin Hotel. Good value . A little out of the way

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and will be staying there again.
It is quite a distance from the centre of the city but public transport links are good.
Staff were very helpful and the room was cleaned and changed daily.
Breakfast provided a good choice.
Downside - Abba recordings played every morning in the dining room!

La camera era pulita, ma la pulizia giornaliera molto frettolosa (tazze utilizzate non cambiate, asciugamani lasciati in disordine, letto rifatto in modo poco attento).

Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr geräumigen Zimmern. Aber man fühlt sich nicht willkommen, Check in kurz und knapp, nur 1 Schlüsselkarte für 2 Personen? Keinerlei Aussagen über Restaurant oder Bar, geschweige über Wellness usw. Zimmer werden in 3-4 Minuten „sauber“ gemacht. Frühstücksbüffet mehrere kaputte Aufbewahrungen für Wurst und Käse ( in 5 Tagen nicht ausgetauscht. Unabgedecktes hartes Brot, es wird auch zu spät nachgefüllt, obwohl reichlich Personal und nicht viele Gäste, aber Personal unterhält sich lieber privat. In der Beschreibung werden als Sprachen Deutsch , Englisch und Ungarisch angegeben, jedoch spricht dort niemand Deutsch. Innenhof sehr schön angelegt, aber total ungepflegt. Check out auch kurz und knapp, keinerlei Fragen ob alles in Ordnung war oder ähnliches. Schade, das Hotel mit der Einrichtung hat wirklich Potenzial.

Hotel lontano da punti di interesse turistico. Per fortuna avevamo affittato un'auto e non abbiamo dovuto fruire dei mezzi pubblici che non erano facilmente raggiungibili dall'hotel. Personale gentile, colazione dolce discreta, camere ampie ma pulizia approssimativa... ragni e relative ragnatele! Rapporto qualità prezzo non favorevole.

Det var super bra men tyckte de va dåligt att de inte fanns matutbud senare än 21.30. Inte ens en smörgås eller så.
Spaet är jätte fint men bubbel Poolen kan behöva en renovering. Gården omkring hotellet är fantastiskt och personalen i restaurangen är helt underbara. Super fräscht rum och fick mycket för pengarna!
Äldre man i receptionen kunde varit trevligare och kanske gladare...med tanke på service inriktat yrke.

Da der 1.Mai ein Feiertag war konnte man die Zusatzangebote wie Massagen udg. nicht nutzen, da über die ganzen Tage keiner anwesend war. Das ist sehr schade. Denn genau zu solchen Tagen, nimmt man ein wenig Auszeit und würde gern sowas nutzen, aber ging nicht.
Die Bar sollte am Samstag bis 22 Uhr offen haben. War aber bereits um ca. 20 Uhr geschlossen.
Ansonsten war das Hotel ok. Essen war gut. Würden es aber auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen.

located out of the old city center , but convienient connections to the downtown of Budapest by metro, tramways, buses.
The hotel itself is pretty nice, comfortable( junior suite room) with relaxing indoor swimming pool , saunas. But frequently visited by big families with many children from east european countries, so quite loud, wild and full in the evenings. The rooms for after sauna are not seperately equipped so that no peaceful lights, relaxing music, no drinks except common tab water one can use , a bit clumsy and wet all the time and noisy. It lacks of fine details, care as a 4 star hote.. In average , it is OK.
Die Angestellte an der Rezeption sind besonders freundlich, hilfsbereit und competent. Vielen Dank an Alle! Das Essen sowohl für Frühstücksbüffe als auch abends im Restaurant mit akzeptablen Preisen sind gut, lecker, einheimisch, international, empfehlenswert, chapeau!

Sauberkeit in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel sollte selbstverständlich sein. Dem war im Rubin Hotel leider nicht so. Auf dem Teppichboden im Zimmer befand sich am Rand entlang der Wände ein Staubstreifen. Die Schrankknäufe waren speckig. Das Zimmermädchen hat nicht zufriedenstellend geputzt. Badewanne, Spiegel usw. wurden nicht gereinigt. Das Bett wurde sehr liederlich gemacht. An der Badewannenfuge befand sich Schimmel, ebenfalls unten an der Duschtrennwand auf der ganzen Länge. Im Badezimmer hat die Lüftung nicht funktioniert. Das Parken auf einem unbefestigten Schotterplatz mit Schlaglöchern kostet 7 Euro pro Nacht.

It was okay, a bit noisy by the road and the internet connection in our room was poor. Did not have shampoo or conditioner, just a 2in1 hair and body soap. Also not slippers in the room. A bit disapointing as it is a hotel with spa. Also a bit far to walk everywhere, with office spaces, rooms and everything mixed together. Breakfast was ok, a bit too small selection, especially for vegetarians. The "cold milk" was room temperature
