The bed was placed underneath the window which meant we felt a slight draft while sleeping which was uncomfortable at times.

The hotel is located next to a busy highway and you constantly hear traffic including ambulance/police sirens. Personally, I'm a fairly light sleeper so if I had known about the noise level, I'd have brought earplugs. I've stayed at hotels located near much less busy roads and the rooms come with complimentary earplugs.

The hotel's entry gate is on a quiet but rather dodgy looking street. The street was fairly dark and I wouldn't walk there by myself in the dark.

Breakfast was good. Breakfast personnel was efficient.

Check in was professional with the gentleman at reception having a good sense of humour. Room was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. It was quiet each night, so sleep was good. Shower worked very well with lots of hot water. Location was convenient to a large metro station, bus station, shopping centre and a nimber of restaurants. Wifi was good. Breakfast had lots of options, staff in breakfast area were helpful. Staff working at the bar were poor. Showed limited awareness of who was waiting longest to be served and consistently served local people before guests from further afield.

The staff are very professional and helpful. They go above and beyond to help. They are available late in the evening or early in the morning. The property is located 10 10-minute walk to the tram stop (49) and the metro stop (M4). However, it takes 30-35 minutes to reach the attractions.
Rooms are fundamental, but spotless and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping service is excellent! I stayed for 6 nights. The room was not that comfortable for that long. But if you stay 1-2 nights, it is a great hotel to stay at. The breakfast is OK. There was a lot of meat stuff and not much for non-meat eaters :-)

The hotel is clean and modern. It was exactly what we needed for our 4 days in Budapest its a 5 min walk to the buses or 10 mins to the metro so getting to the centre was very easy. The only negative is that the path to the hotel is dark and there are abandoned vehicles and it feels rough.

Superb hotel albeit slightly hidden from the main road, The room was excellent with A1 aircon, which was key in the middle of summer. Reception very amenable and helpful, wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Under 10 minutes from Kelenfold and access to Budapest.

The man at reception was very pleasant and check in was straightforward. The room was clean and very quiet. Breakfast provided lots of options to eat and drink and was never crowded. The hotel had an excellent location close to a shopping centre, different restaurants and Kelenföld metro and bus station was nearby. The only negative was service at the bar. This was not organised very well with the woman at the bar one evening making no effort to serve guests in order, keeping my family and I waiting while serving others with no waiting time. She did this on a number of occasions which was frustrating, so we chose to have evening drinks elsewhere.

This is a budget hotel on the main road entering the city from the west. Noisy area with some industrial, commercial businesses next door. The property is gated so you feel safe inside. The hotel is under staffed, at the time of evening check-in one person is running the front desk and the bar at the same time, makes everything run slowly. The girl at the front desk at late evening check-in deserves all my compliments, she did everything to make the check-in experience pleasant, however one person was not enough for the front desk/bar operation. The room is basic, smaller than usual, it comes with basic amenities but no fridge.
The breakfast in the morning was way better than expected, with delicious hot and cold items.

Good, colourful hotel

Good choice of hotel. Very cheap but with good amenities. Room was also a decent size, I thought it'd be smaller. Breakfast was tasty with a lot of range & options. The only thing is it's a bit of a walk from the bus stop/train station - not long but it was raining while we were there so it was a bit of an effort when going back & forth from the city centre.

We were surprised to find out that the parking is not free of charge (10 EUR/night/car), but on the same time I admit we didn't check in advance.

We need to have clear which kind of accommodation we're talking about, it's an Ibis Styles, which for me is a guarantee of clean rooms and pleasant stays at a very reasonable price without any fancy extras. The employees at the reception were very helpful all the time, breakfast was fresh and with quality products, the hotel itself is brand new (or renovated) and spotless clean. On arrival as well on departure I used the baggage storage service without extra cost and I got a free drink at the bar by registering on the Accor Member Program (but prices are far way better on Expedia, so do it only for the free drink 😉).

The area surrounding the hotel could be better but it's generally just ugly, not unsafe, anyway the metro station of the line 4 is just 5 minutes away on foot and within 5-6 stops you're in the city center in no time.

I would recommend the hotel and will definitely come back while in Budapest.

There was a nice interior to the hotel and it had a fabulous design - it was very colourful. The staff were very helpful, they gave me all the info I needed about transport and places to see, as well as keeping my bags for me when I went out on the last day. The rooms were cleaned very well and had nice TVs - they had lots of apps such as YouTube and games like 100 Pics, which was a delight for my children. The beds were comfy and there was lots of space for our clothes. The bathroom was also well equipped with what we needed during our stay. In addition, there was also a safe to store our things when we were out. The included breakfast was very nice, there was a range of food to choose from every single day, to fit what everyone needed - there was more than just the basic breakfast. Furthermore, the transportation, including trams, the underground, and buses, was very close to the hotel, we could walk there in the space of 5 minutes! The only thing I would change about the hotel if I could, would be for the room to have a microwave and kettle, but it did not affect our pleasant stay.

The hotel is located 5 minutes walking distance from the Metro and bus station. The room was clean with modern but relatively basic furniture. The building and the decoration are really modern and bright. Staff was always helpful and polite. Nice lounge area and 24h bar and reception services. Free coffee and tea point in the lounge. I had a pleasant stay with no issues. Good car parking area as well.

Overall the hotel was fine for me, but facilities were basic. Other than the breakfast room, there was no restaurant in it which was awkward given that I arrived in the late evening and was unable to get a meal there. And there are no other restaurants close by (at least not within walking distance). The hotel is a little outside the city centre but it's proximity to the Kelenfóld metro station is a big plus - very handy, it was only a few minutes walk. One other minor point is that there were no visible signposts for the hotel which my taxi driver thought was very strange.

This is a good hotel for exploring the Budapest area. It is very easy to get around using the Metro and or the surface trains. The rooms are comfortable and serviced daily. The breakfast is great. The staff are friendly and willing to help you.

The weather was amazing. The area is for people with cars, even though its near a tube line. no shops around. I didn't have my sheets changed the whole week and only after I complaint, they changed them. A couple of times I had to say that my room was not done.

I had a very pleasant short stay at Ibis Styles Budapest Citywest. Descent, safe location in Buda - 10mins walk from Kelenföld vasútállomás Station (however, be sure to come out the right exit). Approx. 10mins via Metro to City Centre or approximately 20mins bus ride (bus 8E) to City Centre (Astoria or Ferenciek Tere). Approx. 45mins for Airport Shuttle bus service (100E) to/or from Kálvin tér Metro.

The room was a good space, and bright, however, no fridge/minibar provided. Coffee machine and water dispenser available at reception with an open bar.

Receptionists were very helpful, friendly and check in was quick and easy. Overall, the hotel is relatively new, fresh with lovely colourful designs depicting Budapest throughout. I had a very good experience. Thank you Ibis Styles!

New hotel with a convenient price

The hotel is new and looks very clean. People at front desk are very helpful and nice. We only had issues with the room because the one that was assigned first, had a strong smell you cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, they didn't have another double bed room, so the first night my wife and I had to sleep in different beds. The second night we were given a double room, though. But the room was not made for the third night.
Although the hotel is not in the touristic zone, it's very well located at only 600 meters away from a main train, metro and bus station. We were able to move around the city using public transportation.
Breakfast is also good and it has lots of options (fruit, bread, eggs, yogurt, cheese, ham, coffee, and juice).

Wow...what can I say. Amongst all other routine things that we usually experience in a hotel when we are on a vacation, this hotel adds-up an additional notch by its personal touch.
Wonderful hospitality and gesture by the staff on our check-in. Even before we checked-in, we felt very comfortable thanks to the helpful and swift responses that we received on e-mails.etc. Mrs. Laura who is the Deputy GM of this hotel personally did her best in helping us with various things including tips to the do's and dont's of the city. Must say she's a gem of a person. She came down personally to welcome us on our check-in as well.

About the hotel, again we didn't find much trouble with the cleanliness, breakfast, etc. It was all up to the mark.
Laci at the Reception is also very helpful.

Overall a very nice experience. We definitely recommend this property.

Location-wise, though i read few comments that the hotel is located far from the tourist attractions of the city etc. but we found the entire city very nicely connected by the public transport services and hence we didn't find any problem in this regards.

Kelenfold is the last station in the metro line M4 and last station for Tram number 49 & 19 from where the hotel is at a walking distance of not more than 5-7mins. Also, there's nice connection between the M3 and M4 metro lines as well as other Trams. The city Map really helps in travelling.

Once again Thank you ibis Styles Citywest hotel for a wonderful experience.
