Staff were OK. Room comfortable though initially has a damp unpleasant smell. Good area to walk around. Only real problem was the carpet in the hallways, at least on my floor. Big stains that looked like water stains. It was 2 am and walking off the elevator to see that carpet made me want to turn around and find another place to stay. Liked that the room had USB ports which I've fiund isn’t a given in hotels, at least across SE Asia.

Rooms are a good size and staff are friendly, but unfortunately the views from the rooms and rooftop pool are nothing like the images due to the construction tower across the road. You can no longer see the ocean. The pool is a lot smaller than pictured too, and the rooms are quite dated and could do with a refurbish. We also found the shower ran out of hot water on two occasions. Overall fine for one night, though there are probably nicer places at a similar price

I booked this hotel as the last part of our honeymoon, expecting the stunning views from the rooftop that the images show. Unfortunately I didn’t get this, I got a view of 3 hideous skyscrapers. They’ve been built for a while and the images are so outdated. It’s misleading and it’s false advertisement. I wasn’t happy at all. You really need to update your photos and show what the rooftop view is actually like, you cannot see the sea at all.

The staff were kind enough to upgrade us to a premium room. However the king size was just enough for four of us; 2 adults and 2 kids. We'd have liked some more room, perhaps 2 double beds.

The room itself was nice & tidy, had an office space which was quite handy.

Very friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay.

The room was emmaculate and staff were very helpful and courteous. I just found the channels available tonus were not as entertaining. They were all n Tamil or Singhalese. The fridge also wasnt as cool as it should have been. The balcony was not accessible. Despite this, I would love to return again.

The staff were all fantastic, especially the duty manager, concierge, and porters. Very welcoming and inceredbly helpful and accomodating. The location is excellent and central, within walking distance of a shopping mall, supermarket, and Spa Ceylon. Very comfiotable stay! Thank you very much!

Overpriced for a 5 star hotel, breakfast and dinner very basic. The view advertised on the hotel website of the sea is not realistic due to a high rise being built across from the hotel so there is no view from the pool. The restaurant feels very outdated from a decor perspective.
It was also not made clear that this is a dry hotel which is misleading.

Pleasant staff and stay. Limited food options for vegetarians, but I would stay here again.

The hotel airport shuttle has to be arranged 72 hours in advance and costs $35 USD OR $60 USD roundtrip. I used the PickMe app for my ride that cost me $34 USD roundtrip (including the 400 LKR for tolls). It’s double the cost if you use the hotel shuttle. Considering the airport is an hour away from the hotel, either price you want to pay is not bad compared to transportation costs to transfer to big cities in the US.

It's a lovely hotel with a wonderful breakfast and amazing staff who all go out of their way to make your stay pleasant.

The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy.

A couple of issues were the musty smell in our room and the shower got the floors wet in the bathroom when taking a shower.

I got sick from the restaurant food, and checked out after 2 days - The hotel is not how it looks on pictures, and they promised me a refund for the days I checked out, asked to get an e-mail that they started everything but they didn't. Still waiting for anything from them, they haven't delivered on their promise. Completely terrible service, hotel, food and hotels.com has also been terrible

Really helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms, but there was cockroach in one the room, addressed instantly but I think needs better control as it's not acceptable for the amount of money we are paying.
One more thing is since we have booked a couple of rooms under same booking and requested for two adjacent rooms as travelling with elderly parents, that was not provided and rooms were same floor but way apart, which was bit upsetting for me. To me premium price requires premium service.

We were what seemed to be the only westerners in the hotel, which didn’t worry us. But, it seemed to worry them. Over the six night stay we hardly got a hello or smile. The older doorman was always lovely, the check in people were nice and the young couple at checkout were l helpful and kind. But otherwise, every time we looked as someone, they turned away. For example, when we were on our way to checkout, a staff member got into the lift, we said good morning and got no response. And yes, he did speak English, we had seen him before. The hotel, rooms and food are all very good. The feeling of not being welcome was our only concern.

The failure is the location of the hotel facing a busy street where bus drivers seem to sleep on nosey horns. The pillows in the room were wafer thin and uncomfortable. Laundry charges can be described as anything but a rip-off.

Unfortunately there was a poor view from the pool as a larger storey hotel/apartment is being built directly overlooking the pool that prevents a view of the sea and was noisey during our stay.
