Checked out early. On arrival late at night, had to wait for someone to attend reception. No hairdryer in room so couldn't wash hair after travelling for 20 hours as would have to sleep with wet hair. No response from reception by phone evening or in the morning, having tried several times. Reception didn't tell me on check-in about wi-fi password. 6 people at reception were complaining entry cards not working, in the lift they said that was a daily ocurrence.
Information says 24/7 room service but on check-in around 11pm found that it was closed so nothing to eat.
The bedroom was oppressive - shame they didn't give more room to the bedroom and less to huge bathroom.
For me, tired and hungry the next morning, the decision to check out early was when there was no fresh coffee available at breakfast. Reception staff were surly. I was told they would not give refund for unused nights even though I checked out at 10am. I didn't even want to argue about issues - just booked into another hotel and moved. Life is too short to be stuck in a miserable hotel, not near to facilities, with no coffee at the start of your holiday.
You can get better in Colombo for similar money.

Partial view room. No beach. Road is very busy with the constant flow of traffic. Dangerous area with broken pavements. Hotel staff were good, food was tasty. Tea was cold, then asked for a teapot. They were polite and friendly. The bathroom was clean, but there was a strong smell. Had to ask for hand towels. It’s not a hotel as such. It’s like a Holiday Inn. Good staff. Very helpful and polite. O

Good room was given with sea view. Breakfast buffet was great. But when we checked in at around 3 pm on 4th July, we were told our room was not ready and had to wait for about half an hour. Actually what happened was our room was ready and want to given it to someone else. We learn that as we heard the conversation among front office personnel. So we had to demand for rooms to be ready immediatley. As a result we were given an upgraded room. Later someone called and apologized us and offered free breakfast. This is the reason I am giving 4 stars

Maybe I caught a bad day, but apart from its location, everything screamed of low budget. The staff were friendly and accommodating (and I did feel sorry for them writing this review), but there were no towels in the room and took a couple of hours to replenish, the sink was leaking, when my Uber arrived the staff their told it to move further down onto the road so to make way to some celebrity minister who rocked up (which was funny and insulting), and frankly the whole vibe of the hotel felt it had a strange clientele. I immediately booked Galle Face Hotel for 3 days, swallowed the one night cost - and got a refund for the 2 days after in Radisson. Stay away at all costs

What we liked:
- bed was very comfortable.

What we didn't like:
- Service was poor. We were told to go to the rooftop bar while they got our room ready but they forgot about us. It then took quite a while for them to bring the bags up.
- The pool is pretty small and only had 4 loungers.
- The shower had a curtain which lets water out, so the floor became very slippy and quite dangerous.

I spent 1 night at this beautiful property, and I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality by the staff.
I thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and views at sunset. The staff assisted me with arranging airport transportation the next morning.
On my next trip to Colombo, I will be sure to stay at this property again.

Not a 4 Star Hotel

In theory, this is listed as a 4 star hotel but 4 star hotels in Sri Lanka are very nice. This place didn't even have people to carry your bags. I arrived with a bunch of luggage as a single female, my taxi driver helped me bring them in and when I asked for help from the front desk they told me they didn't offer that service. Since I didn't want to leave my luggage sitting there unattended in the lobby, I had to ask my taxi driver to come up to my room to help. As a single female, I simply didn't feel comfortable with this.

I called hotels.com and asked to change hotels and it was a really awful situation. They had me on chat for 2 hours before I gave up and told them I was just going to move somewhere else. I ended up being late to my work dinner. After I called back and Hotels.com offered to refund me, they never did. 3 phone calls later and more wait time on the phone, the refund was finally processed. The point is, Sri Lanka has some wonderful 4 star hotels. This is not one of them.

Pleasant Stay - Would Return

Rooftop bar is wonderful. Pool is good in daytime, amazing views. Annoying it’s in front of the bar so did not feel comfortable going in the evening. Food was very nice - had pizza and prawns. Nice wines, reasonable prices.
Literally my only complaint was asking for a shaving kit three times and waiting over an hour for it to be sent, by which time the sun had gone down and I missed out on sunset from the pool.

Room at Ozo Colombo was booked for 02 persons with a king size bed. Only one bed side table.
The room was rather small in size.
No writing desk (a small movable type table).
No face washers and only one hand towel for 02 occupants in room. No soap but soap dispensers provided for wash basin and shower area.
Limited top up of coffee for 02 occupants.
Wifi was somewhat slow during the day.
No luggage service provided in hotel and guests expected to take their own bags to the rooms and during check out.

We booked 3 rooms, but will give only one key card per room.
I have asked manager about it, and their response is we are very busy and can provide only one key card.
If we have rooms for 2 or 3 people in each room, how can they use one key card to go up and down the elevator.
Was really inconvenient, but staff seemed to care less about it.

Stylish and very clean rooms. Convinient location, though not a walking distance to branded shopping malls or attractions.The front desk staff was lovely and helpful. Having said that, the staff at the roof top bar was a bit disappointing. Didn't know the oysters specials, very slow service and bill took forever. Nevertheles, its a nice hotel just need a bit more of a client care.

Great hotel in a good location. Food options are good. Rooftop bar and pool are a great place to unwind. Staff are courteous. We were here after the bombings in Colombo. The hotel provided extra security which was comforting. They also provided a free late check out which was nice considering we had been holed up most of the time in the hotel. Overall, great value for money. Views are fantastic. Worth staying here!!

We needed to wait quite a while when we were changing our rooms as it was undergoing cleaning. We only managed to checked in 2hrs after the initial mentioned time.

When we changed to the suite, the jacuzzi couldn’t be switched on, and there was a lack of water for the main shower.

When we checked out, we were told that we had consumed a mars chocolate when we did not and were charged for it.

How every, other than that, the service of the staff was pretty good.

The room was the highest level of comfort - A very large bed and the shower was just perfect! The desk proved a handy addition to the room and allowed us to use our laptop and appliances in a space other than the bed. The rooftop terrace has some stunning views of the sunset and ocean; however, the photos of the pool are misleading and we didn't see it used once used during our stay. The rooftop terrace is basically a bar with a dipping pool. The restaurant menu was very limited and had more of a bar snacks feel to it. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet and found it to have a large number of different choices for everyone. Just a note for travellers - you cannot take currency out at the hotel with a debit/credit card; however, there is a bank just next door with a very secure ATM.

Front office staff is terrible and one of the most unhappy staff I have ever seen. A big F*** off board is always on their faces.
When we checked-in they just handed over the room key and told to go and find a room yourself. If you call at reception they ll pick it up on second call not on first one. If you ask for anything most likely then y ll forget and you have to call again for sure. Like I asked for iron as I had important meeting early morning they didn't give so I had to wear shirt without iron. We went for lunch and asked for room clean up and came after 2 hours and it was still messy.
By mistake I asked about weekend entertainment events at the rooftop, welcome staff very casually told there is nothing happening except Oscar movies.

In short horrible and Arogant staff who clearly doesn't want us there.

Check in is overly long. Only 1 room key so annoying for couples. Rooftop bar is hugely overpriced for drink.
BUT the food was great and cheap, the room beers were local prices and the breakfast was amazing! The bed was big and very comfy, the bathroom massive too.
Its close to the train station so useful for travelling on from.
I'd stay again:)
