The room floors (carpet and tiles) were dirty. You can tell it hasn’t been mopped or vacuumed consistently. There was sewer smell inside the bathroom. Even when the air conditioning was turned on, you’ll be welcomed by entering the room with a musty smell, not sure if it was from the vent. Upon check out, I was told that there was a missing face towel and would be charged for it. I asked them to recheck because I am not interested in keeping any of their old, used, and smelly towels. The person checking said everything was accounted for. The hotel needs maintenance.

The room was great, lots of space and the king bed was comfy. The included buffet breakfast was good but was not impressed with the honey glazed ham as it was just lunch meat. Will go back just to try the regular restaurant menu. Not much of a view from our room but we were only there for one night. There was some ongoing maintenance but did not affect our stay. Will definately go back.

The property had just opened which influences all of our experiences. They took a while to find our Expedia reservation, our room had a foul smell, the shower drains were clogged and almost flooded our rooms. The room designs are strange with partial bathroom doors.
Staff were very kind, responsive, and accommodating.

The property’s location is excellent! Nice huge rooms, but hotel room marble floors were very dirty, not mopped and toilet bowls were stained. I suggest that housekeeping needs to do a thorough cleaning of the hotel rooms to keep the hotel property in good condition.

The hotel is fairly new with the bed very comfortable. Overall, the place is clean. Breakfast is included and very good. Maintenance is not very good, because the shower is all hot water. The toilet sounds like is water is gushing (leaking) all the time. During checkout, beware of losing towels or else they will embarrassed you in front of other guests.

Hotel is walking distance to two nice malls and many restaurants. The exercise room was bad. Both treadmills were safety hazards as I almost fell from the erratic operation. A big turn off is the smell. A seafood restaurant, owned by the hotel, has a garbage issue. The stench from the rotting restaurant garbage is terribly offensive. It is a known problem with the hotel that they haven't addressed in years. I do not plan to stay at this hotel again.

Nice property and great service; however, before I could complete my checkout, I had to wait for someone to go up to my room and verify it was in satisfactory condition. I’ve never experienced this type of delayed checkout. Also, the towels need to be replaced because white towels should look white not beige.
I did enjoy my stay at this location. The room was clean and there were no bugs. The shower had both a regular shower head and a rainfall shower which was awesome. The room was spacious and the air conditioning was nice and cold. The staff here work hard and it’s great to see that.
Breakfast...buffet everyday was great! I do wish orange juice was served instead of tang labeled as orange juice. Try the French toast, it is superb.

We booked 2 rooms, the doors would not lock on either of them. Staff were very slow to respond and generally clueless. We were moved to another room, where the door also did not lock oh and the safe didn’t work either. Our room overlooked the staff toilets for the next door supermarket quite noisy - charming. Breakfast was ok. Location was ok. Rooftop pool was nice with a decent little pool for small kids.

There were cockroaches roaming around the food area during breakfast. Room maintenance needs improvement as well such as replacing lights that are out and phone lines that aren’t working properly. The staff professionalism are a hit or miss. Front desk needs to smile more and exhude a welcome demeanor. Howver, all other staff members are polite and courteous.

I liked it very much. Staff were nice and the room was excellent. Pool deck is nicely situated so the mountains and bay are in perfect view even when sitting on the poolside chairs. The beach is a quick 5 minute walk but it's nothing to write home about but you don't get the beach feel. Some of the city's taxi drivers will try to rip you off but we found others that were very reasonable. There are no metered cabs so ask a local how much it'll cost so you'll have an idea about a price before you take a taxi.

Poor maintenance policies in this hotel

Each time I stay here it seems the hotel facilities deteriorates incrementally. Towels are no longer white but a dingy yellow-ish tinge. Showerheads are encrusted with lime deposits due to hardness of the water and water comes out in a dribble! The hotel should at least perform periodic de-scaling. The sink and shower stall drain holes are almost always clogged without any periodic maintenance. The air conditioning units in the rooms never seem to be serviced and clean so when the AC is turned on, the air that comes out smells very stale

At first, it looked to be a high end hotel with room rates that can already be cathegorized as pricey, so we expected first class service specially on cleanliness. We booked two rooms, both with king beds.. We arrived early, so we were requesting for an early check in, of which it was not accommodated. but according to the reception, we can get a room early but they have to charge our extra hours of stay, so we opted not to avail of it. We came back in the afternoon, maybe at around 5pm, and our rooms were available already, so I and my sister proceeded to each of our rooms. Upon reaching my room, my keycard was not working and I had to call the service staff, to help me out. He was gracious enough to have the keycard fixed and returned to me.
Upon entering the room, everything was actually in order and everything was ready for use, so I proceeded to take a rest and open the TV, upon approaching the TV set, I noticed that there were some powdery residue just below the hanging TV set, which seems to come from repairs or some renovations made, which made me a bit sick, I think, since my allergies started acting up, giving me sinusitis and coughs everytime I stay for long periods of time specially at night when Im sleeeping..
We also made some complaints regarding the water (for me, it's the water in the shower which can be both hot and cold, but only cold water comes out), and for my sister's room, water in the lavatory is hot and can't be use. complaints not addressed.

The Best Western in Subic is a nice modern hotel. Breakfast buffet was good in comparison to some other hotel breakfasts in the Philippines. Only issue was that I had to pull forward the 2 nights by a night but had to cancel and rebook and could not get the same discount deal but not really hotels fault. Good location, close to plenty restaurants and mini stores. Wi-fi OK but not great.

Nice hotel, spacious room and beautiful pool

I enjoyed my stay. The pool was nice and had a spectacular view on the rooftop. Wish it was heated since I swam at night and when it opened in the AM, but coming from NYC I’m use to the cool temperature. It’s very relaxing and the staff at the front desk were polite. Across the street is Pier 1, which I decided to go to upon hearing the live music while swimming so if you’re looking to go out at night for fun, everything is nearby. The breakfast was also great, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Subic area.

I Booked online a family room, but we got a regular room instead. The staff felt sorry and wanted to compensate us with a free breakfast, only after we told them we would report them to Expedia. There was no lock on the bathroom door, and you have to squeeze yourself between the door and the bed to get into the bathroom.
Wifi not working. The free breakfast given to us was not worth the downgrade.
We will never go back. there are far better hotels in the area and for less.

My son and I checked into Best Western in Subic as we needed to be at the house for the first move. Being burnt out, I decided to order room service. Well,, my dinner came and I sent it back saying that it was not what I ordered. I ordered a Tenderloin Steak, Medium Rare. Well the thing was the size of a Hocky Puck and black as night looking like shoe leather. After I sent it back and canceled the order, the restaurant got mad at me. They had the audacity to call me and try to get me to accept the order. These people have no understanding of the service business Rule #1. They in fact called three time which was annoying to no end. This forced me to use foul language. Unreal. I will never ever come here again and I can not ever recommend this place. Except to someone I do not like?!?!!!!!

I checked the net for hotels & in prder.to see the hotels 1st hand, I walked around a few of the hotels in the area looking for a good place for my family to stay overnight and after 5 hotels, I saw that Best Western had the best design & atmosphere. You could really tell they had high standards. my kids loved the pool &outdoor jacuzzi & the overall service was great as well. had their complimentary breakfast, it was buffet style & not too great, but better than other bfasts i had in other hotels in subic. Id recommend anyone coming to subic with their families to try out best western.

Overall it was a good stay, I would not suggest the bay side rooms if you are not a night Owl as the sounds of the bars and clubs kept us awake until about 3 am every single night. We never changed rooms as we kept thinking \"surely they will be quieter tonight\" but they never were.

The over-all stay was pretty good. I just don't like that they are very strict with their check-in time. We arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm, and they won't give the keycard umtil it is exactly 2pm, eventhough the lobby was already cramped with guests. But aside from that, the room in service was fast. The rooms are clean, and the beds are big and comfortable.

We stayed in BWP hotel for 2 nights. Upon arrival at 2pm, they asked us to wait for 15minutes but ended up waiting for 30minutes cause our room wasn't ready at that time. Receptionist though were kind enough to offer us late check out. They have roof top pool which is packed cause of the pool party at that time. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is average, nothing special.

Booked 2 regular rooms and 1 Executive room (Ocean view).
2 Regular rooms : the cleaning maids informed us that the hotel gave us 2 of the smallest rooms. There was little room to move around.
1 Executive Room (Ocean view) : there is NO Ocean view! There are building in between the hotel and the ocean. You can barely see the ocean from the room.

When this was addressed with the hotel staff - they were dismissive and did not make an attempt to make it right. Customer Service needs improvement.

Hotel looks new so the facilities and the room we have stay(group of 4 - 2 kids + 2 adults)are nice and clean.
Buffet breakfast experience when it comes to food they offer is on the average.its good for those who like pancakes or a slice of bread and omelette for breakfast.but for filipino type of breakfast,choices are not so many.the beef tapa they offer is good.
I will recommend this hotel for those who are looking for comfort and conveniences.

Overall stay was good - cleanliness, comfort, condition except for the service. They forced the guests to wait for 2:00pm before they allowed anyone to check-in and went to the assigned rooms. We asked if they could reconsider because the hotel lobby was already full of guests waiting but to no avail.
(note: we checked-in last Apr. 29 to May 1 and it was a long weekend). On the 30th, the hotel's housekeeping staff made-up our room while we were out and took out all the in-room towels but didn't replace it. We have to call the front desk twice and waited for 30mins before we got the replacement.

Very small room. Band played until midnight. Free breakfast was poor--no coffee at first, fruit was old, no juice, fish dry, and these were the good things. Staff was not helpful checking in or out. Pool was nice.
