Room was small the pictures on the booking apps do do not provide an accurate description or picture the rooms it has no desk barely any room for your closet OHH and hear this.. they have a karaoke bar downstairs that runs legit until 2am so good luck trying to get some rest with wannabe madonnas screaming their lungs out this hotel is legit for those who can’t afford an upgrade hotel or even for locals whos gonna bring a side piece just for the day or 2 but anyways… it is local to the beach and shopping centers the staff was extremely friendly and nice the parking situation sucks you have to be on a waiting list to get a parking spot also the room was semi dirty had hair on the bed a little stain on the sheets the tv was so bad the speakers are shocked legit cant hear anything tbh if you want to stay at a motel environment this is the place but if you could afford something better legit go their ( wish i would have looked into it further) the coffee bar is just a kerrug and cups so its mid overall my experience wasnt the best here so i give it a 5/10 rating

Parking is limited so you’ll have to find parking elsewhere. The hotel is close to the strip malls so it’s convenient to walk there and back. Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay and it dos the job for those staying for a couple days.

I do not recommend this hotel if you need sleep, the noise level is ridiculous; between the thumping of the bar music radiating up through the floors, people outside screaming till early in the morning ! It was so bad I called the front desk and complained at 10:30pm. The windows or whatever they were had no blinds or curtains and it was like sleeping with the lights on! I understand its downtown Waikiki and it's alot of tourist but noise level is off the charts! The area around the hotel is great, ABC stores, restaurant's and food trucks. One block from Waikiki Beach! Staff was great, very helpful and tried to help with the noise.

If you’re planning to stay here be aware that there’s a construction site next door where they are building a new hotel (look on google earth) and they start work at around 6am. Add to the fact that the is a nightclub on the ground floor that plays till around one or 2am it can get a little noisy, so if you like your sleep it might not be for you.

Waikiki offers a wide range of hotels for every style and budget, but this one fell short of expectations. The bathroom conditions were disappointing and clearly in need of better maintenance, and the lack of parking space made things unnecessarily inconvenient. For the price they charge, the overall quality and experience don’t justify the cost. There are definitely better options in the same price range.

Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Rooms were comfortable. Coffee bar was well stocked. Parking was a bit of a snafu, It's very small and had to go to a lot maybe 5 minutes walk away. Not a big deal by second day we were able to park in their downstairs lot. Everything was great.

Our 10-day stay at Stay Hotel in Waikiki was honestly such a beautiful experience from start to finish. The location was perfect, the atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant, and it truly felt like a home away from home.

What made it especially memorable though was the incredible staff. Eli, G, and Riza were absolutely exceptional - so warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us, and their kindness didn’t go unnoticed. It’s rare to come across people who make such a lasting impression, but they truly did.

We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already dreaming about coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Waikiki!

Loudest hotel ever! Should be named Do NOT Stay Hotel. Karaoke bar in lobby. Loud music until 2am. At 5am, the garbage trucks, and construction workers wake you up. Entire wall of the room has floor to ceiling windows facing very bright lights. You would think they would have blackout curtains covering them, but no, they chose white sheer curtains that let the light shine right through and are about 2 inches too short. Your room is illuminated all hours of the day and night. All windows of the entire hotel face this way so switching rooms wouldn’t have helped. I couldn’t park on-site because of limited parking. I had to walk 10 minutes away to park at another hotel for $45 per night. The front desk told me after the 1st night that I would be put on a parking waitlist and bumped to the front of it. Also said I would get a 50% discount on my per night parking fee. When I called to inquire about it the 2nd day, they told me there were still 2 people ahead of me. When I called the 3rd day, they had no recollection of me being on the waitlist, and told me parking was still sold out. Don’t get my hopes up if you don’t really intend to give me onsite parking. The hotel staff actually called me while I was out sightseeing to ask me to leave a “real-time” review. Thought they were calling to say parking opened up, but nope. I was woken by guests yelling obscenities to each other out on the balcony and threatening to kill each other. Didn’t feel safe. Only positive was it was clean.

This hotel was great! Super close to everything you need. If you are looking to stay in the area of Waikiki, you won’t really need a car, everything you need is walkable, and/or bike-able. Staff is what really made it a great experience, everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 7 nights as a family of 4. Great location. Property is right next to Waikiki beach. Staff is very helpful. They have amenities like beach towels, coffee throughout the day and free laundry. Hotel is clean and so are rooms. Only nit we had was that the second bed in the room was a sofa bed which was not as comfortable. There is also some street noise.

First of all pictures of the property online need to be updated to recent photos. The property did NOT LOOK as shown online. Staff were okay. Parking was not good at all, you have to pay $45-&50 a day to park in a hotel that you reserve. Overall I would definitely not recommend staying at this property.

As I entered the bathroom is on the right the door to the bathroom cannot open pass vanity, you should put a barn door or open to hallway. The entry door should have a better security lock. The windows shouldn’t be jealousy. Staff is very friendly

Although a very outdated building/rooms, the staff did their best to make sure everything is nice, clean and comfortable. Room v small, wish there was more furniture, like a table, and same goes for the bathroom. Location wise is top. We could see the ocean from our balcony.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a great deal for the area. Out of their control is the 5am construction next door followed up with the late night clubs all around that will keep you awake.

Warning to female solo travelers. Exteriors door to room once inside the hotel. Windows are old small slants that could easily be broken into. Did not feel safe and would not stay there again.

I could see a part of the ocean from my balcony. I chose the least expensive small room with 2 firm twin beds. A/C works good. Wall TV too small to comfortably watch from bed. No chair or night stand. I had to park 5 blocks away at $50 a night. Coffee only in the morning lobby is just ok. Karaoke bar connected to lobby. Not sure what the $35 resort fee was for? No pool. I wouldn’t consider this a 3 star motel. 1 block from beach was the best. I would not stay here again but spend the extra $85 instead for a better place with parking, breakfast and pool.

We were sent to a room no larger than a dorm room with 2 twin beds that did not fit in the space, covering the balcony windows. There were no tables, chair or desks.We had to use an ironing board to lay our our items

The shower was so small We could not enter,smaller than an Rv shower.
Slat windows were broken and could not be closed. Air and nose entered the room.
electric cord from AC/Lamp and Tv were tripping hazards.

Since we arrived at late night, we slept in the cot type beds, and left the following morning.

Stay Hotel Waikiki was such a wonderful place to stay during our trip, and it truly made our experience in Hawaii even more special.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and thoughtful. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well prepared. We even found a sweet handwritten note along with macadamia white chocolate covered nuts waiting for us, which was such a lovely touch after a long trip.
We arrived during a time when there was heavy rain and some storm damage around the island, and Carolyne, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and informed. Since it was our first time in Hawaii, she carefully explained everything to us, showed us maps, pointed out areas to avoid, and even recommended places we could still enjoy despite the weather. She took the time to write things down for us, which we really appreciated.
Their kindness truly stood out. My husband is gluten free and could not have the cookies they offer, and since we had just arrived from the airport and had nothing to eat, Carolyne kindly got us potato chips so we could have something before going to sleep. That level of care meant so much to us.
Even small details made a big difference. The hotel has a coffee and tea station with creamers and everything you need, which was especially helpful on rainy mornings when going out for coffee was not ideal. They also always had snacks and cookies available.
Parking was initially full when we arrived, so we had to use a nearby garage.

Each of us has our own requirements and preferences when choosing a hotel. So I asked myself: “Am I going there to sit in the hotel all day and admire the building? Or am I going to walk around, go swimming, and enjoy nature?”
Why pay for an expensive hotel if I’m only coming back to sleep? That’s exactly why I chose this one—it had everything I needed: a shower, a small fridge to keep my beer cold, and beds. That’s it. That was all I required, and this hotel delivered.

Our hotel room was clean. I liked how there was a microwave and fridge. The bathroom is outdated but for the price it was fine. The beach is right by the corner with ABCs stores all around. This was a great spot and so affordable. We didn’t bring a car so not sure how parking works. They provided beach towels when needed! They had a mini bar/karaoke inside open at night. We didn’t go as we don’t drink, but it looked fun! Overall great experience and worth what you’re paying for. Staff was welcoming and nice.

If you want a place where you can rest your head for a night or two then this is the place. It was clean, convenient and cheap lol. The room was super small and the bathroom was extra small but I just needed a place for one night so it was fine for me. The staff at the front desk were so nice though and they also held my bag by the front desk so I could explore for the day. Didn’t try the bar or the parking so I can’t speak on those.

The first room I was given had broken louvre windows allowing both the wind and rain to enter causing the carpet to become wet and musty. this hotel was perfect for my partner and i. we arrived to the hotel before check in time and they allowed us to check in early. all staff were very nice and helpful. we loved how they had beach towels and chairs for us to use and even had laundry pods for us to do our laundry there. the room and restroom were also very clean.

The hotel was adequate. Not fancy but was a place to stay while we went out and did a bunch of activities. They had some beach amenities like chairs and floaties but the nicest thing was having beach towels. The lobby and rooms are clean but not extravagant. The room's window would not close completely to keep out the humidity from all the rain but the AC kept the place at a decent temperature. The location of the hotel was as good as you can get. Parking was a challenge but expected in this area of Waikiki.

If you are used to a higher end hotel/resort, this is not for you. If you like the idea of a quaint hotel with a cultural Hawaiian feel that focuses on relationships, then you need to stay here. The front desk staff felt like ohana by the end of our trip. The GM went out of her way to make sure and get to know us and share more about the island. It was obvious her staff is valued and enjoy working there. There is a $15 per day amentities fee that gives you the use of beach towels, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs and more. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Coffee bar each morning, drinking water, books to borrow, and Wang Chung's karaoke bar in the evening. This hotel is one block away from Waikiki Beach.

Very conveniently located next to Waikiki. Room is very basic, like a college dorm. With that being said, you go to Hawaii to be outside and not hanging out in your room. The room is like in a hostel, small, having just a bed, with no chair, desk, table, night stand. Only one bedside lamp. Windows are frosted glass shutter, cannot be opened, can't see outside, high up anyway. One noisy AC unit blasting constantly. Restroom has no vent, only 1 light. Karaoke bar on the floor below blasting until 2am. No parking. Expensive parkades half a mile away. Resort fees charged for nothing. No amenities like exercise room or swimming pool except coffee in the lobby from 7am to 7pm. Star rating should be one instead of 3 on Expedia website.

Positive: Super friendly and helpful staff, great location near the beach, access to beach chairs and towels, room was clean.
Negative: It was so loud in my room. I could hear everything happening on the street, even people just talking. There are no external walls, just frosted window blinds that did not open or fully close in places. It was also super bright outside all night long. If you are a light sleeper or need total darkness, I recommend ear plugs and a sleep mask.
