Location was beautiful. Across the road from the beach and the grounds of the resort were impeccable. The room was spotless and roomy and Eve worked. The morning buffet breakfast was perfect. Staff were very courteous. I would highly recommend this place. Also ngteat value.

What a wonderful find, and a very lovely beach town. Dolphin Bay resort was one of the cleanest hotels I have found anywhere, it was at the five star level of clean.
All the staff were super friendly and helpful, and it’s layout and swimming pool are fabulous. Food in the dining room was great for breakfast and dinner and I would not hesitate to book again.

It's a good hotel. The location is superb, right on the beach. Nice pools, lots of sun beds.
Breakfast is good, selection of food is rather modest but enough.
Bed was comfortable.

We liked mostly everything but the WiFi is absolutely terrible. It just didn't work which was utterly frustrating. Also gym is tiny, I was mostly by myself early in the morning, but if a few people decide to use it at the same time there will be an issue.
Water pressure in shower is weak but bearable.

I cannot rate this resorts staff highly enough. Amazing does not cover it .This is a great and safe place for a family vacation. It can be a little noisey around the pool for us mature folk, but then just go sit on the beach as the staff will bring drinks over. 🍹👍

The resort was simple and outdated. We stayed in Room 32. The water pressure in the room was weak and the complimentary slippers ripped after just one day. Only one restaurant on site and the dining area is completely outdoors. We had to be careful of insects and birds getting near our food. However, the staff was friendly.

Overall very relaxing and quiet environment. Disappointment that the adult pool was under repair. Great room and bathroom, super clean. Disappointed that there is no in-room coffee facilities and no paper tissues. Breakfast is great and has high-quality breads. Butter and homemade jam selection. Thai hot meals are good quality too.

Dolphin Bay was a great location for us as we wanted to explore the nearby Thai National Park. It’s on a quiet stretch of road opposite the beach, which made for great sunset drinks and fab breakfast views! It’s perhaps more suited to families but we still enjoyed sunbathing by the pool and selecting some lovely wines to go with dinner.

Ok hotel, overpriced and the charge extra for everthing. We skipped the breakfast which was way over priced and went to a nice coffee shop and had a lovey bf for half the cost with beautiful cappuccinos as well!
Bed was horrible memory foam top which is very hot and uncomfortable.

When we arrived to our room the toilet had poop and toilet paper in it! Flushed it and the whole room smelled like poo!

This was our second trip to Dolphin Bay, having decided within 2 minutes of arriving last year that we would definitely come back.It is a little corner of paradise, and the staff could not do enough for you.This time we managed a trip around the bay and on to Monkey island, the inclement weather prevented it last year.Would definitely recommend it as somewhere to take your foot off the pedal, unwind,relax and recharge your batteries.

After paying 8500 THB for the 3 bedroom suite at.this hotel, which is really a mediocre and dated apartment, the management charge you 40 THB plus 4 Baht tax for.a morning cup or coffee which every hotel gives free today. Had to also pay 200 Baht per person for breakfast. Terrible.value and not worth the money.
The.salt water pool was a redeeming touch.

This is a terrific intro into Thailand, especially if you have kids. The property is comfortable, homey, safe and friendly. The food was delicious, and the menu had a big variety of Thai and Western fare. The rooms in the main building were large and bright. They lacked microwaves and kettles, but there was a microwave available in the dining area and a kettle was provided on request. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom, but I did like the shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the shower instead of those awful little bottles. The pool was very clean and well-maintained. The grounds and beach were perfect for lounging. I would like to see them have more large umbrellas available near the pool and on the beach because the Thai sun is relentless. The bungalows and villas were very nice and offered more amenities. There is plenty to do in the area to fill a week. The sunrise view on the beach is perfect. This little resort has thought of everything a family on a budget needs and delivers it quite well. I will be back.

Stayed in September which is the slow season.Even though the resort was not very busy the staff went out of their way to make us welcome.Location right on the beach front with amazing views. We hired bicycles on a couple of days and explored the local area. We had a very relaxing seven days. I wish we could have stayed longer. Will certainly be going back. Dolphin Bay is a hidden gem.

Dolphin Bay Resort - a lovely place

Dolphin Bay in Thailand is simply one of the most beautiful and unspoiled seaside places I have ever seen. Basically a fishing village, it has not yet been touched by mega-developments which usually ruin all the good features of such places. It's a perfect getaway for those tired of big cities and resorts, and a great place to relax and unwind. I was there during the monsoon season, when it rained virtually every day, the humidity was sapping, and the heat intense. However, even that didn't spoil my time there, such is the loveliness of this place. The local Thai people are so friendly and welcoming, and, like most country people, relaxed and laid back. However, it's not a place for those looking for big-city amenities like shopping, markets, nightclubs, etc. - there are none. All shops, such as there are, are small, and the only pharmacy is not well stocked. There are numerous small restaurants, mainly serving Thai food and locally caught seafood.
Dolphin Bay Resort hotel is built in a U shape, with the open side facing the beachfront, and kids' playgrounds and 3 swimming pools in the center. Lots of facilities, including bicycle and motor bike hire. WiFi is excellent everywhere in the hotel and grounds, although the internet is a little slow.
Staff are wonderfully helpful and polite in the Thai manner. Food is excellent at the hotel's restaurant, and there is good variety of Thai and European food to choose from. Prices are quite reasonable.

Perfect for Families with Kids!!

Dolphin Bay Resort was perfect for our family! The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, the restaurant onsite had excellent food, and every thing was extremely affordable! I was amazed at what we got for the money. Our family is vegetarian so we were very happy to see many vegetarian options on the menu. The 2 pools are directly across the street from a beautiful beach. The pools were very clean and had a slide for kids. We took a boat ride and rented bikes. We will definitely be going back to Dolphin Bay Resort! Our stay was AMAZING!

This place was very underwhelming. I had asked hotels.com to change the dates of my reservation and they never sent the email to the hotel, so I was charged for one day in which I did not stay. I would never stay here again. The only good thing I can say is the restaurant was good (which was huge since it is one of the only ones around). The area is very remote with very little around.

Small Thai Resort on the beach

We chose to vacation here because my wife and son went here before with a group of friends and they really enjoyed it.

First, just so you know if you are considered this resort, it is almost four hours south of Bangkok. It is almost one hour south of Hua Hin and is across a small street from the beach. The resort does not provide a free shuttle but will arrange for a vehicle where you pay the driver directly. We had three and bags in a large van and cost us 3500 baht one way. If you are not used to Thai driving, don't drive. Budget for and take the ride. They know the way.

Second, you are a captive audience. There are a few restaurants along the street and some on some of the side streets. They often serve the same thing. Prices are a little more at the restaurants associated with the different hotels, housing areas and resorts. You eat at Dolphin Bay for the convenience. They have limited western fare but I didn't come here for the food. If you get a major food craving then head to Hua Hin where they have lots of western brands and shopping.

This is a place that really caters to the family. This would not be my choice for a romantic getaway.

We got a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and a small kitchen. Each bedroom and the living room had AC that worked. Some other guests said theirs didn't. We had a clean room and a comfortable bed. The cleaning staff were thorough and honest.

We will stay here again

A great resort!

Dolphin Bay Resort could easily be a 5 star resort. We went in May so the resort was quieter than in the busy season, but we were met by very friendly staff and even upgraded on arrival for our room. We chose to eat and drink at the restaurant for all meals, originally only planning to stay for 3 nights and extended it to 4 because the place was so good. Sam Roi Yot is a quiet beachfront town, great for families or anyone looking to spend a quiet few days lounging by the pool reading a book, or for sipping on cold beers without being interrupted by mass tourists.

Family friendly hotel with great service

This is a great spot for families with young kids. Older teenagers might get a little bored but from toddlers to tweens this is perfect. Great pool, right on the beach, wonderful grassy play area with lots of toys, excellent food at a great price and unflappable staff. They will rent cars for you, set up tours and excursions, and everything else a high end resort will do. But there are no crowds and everything is super relaxed. Highly recommended

The best place for relaxing

We needed a few days on our own in piece and quietness and got it. We looked for a swimming pool and the closeness to the sea was great. But the best part was how well Dolphin Bay kept the grass, the outdoor furniture, the playgrounds and how cosy the dining area was. The distance from Hua Hin is also great, a small taxi drive away; about 30min. A little more cleanliness in the nearby places is needed, but did not bother us. We loved it.

Very nice resort in a great location looking out on a little bit of paradise. The room and facilities were very good and the bed was huge and very comfortable. However, the food was vastly overpriced and not very good. Though we had breakfast and lunch here every day we only ordered dinner once - and it was truly appalling. My husband ordered a chicken dish which was clearly reheated and rubbery - he did not eat it. I ordered the daily special which was fish - it was completely overcooked and the rice with which it was served was reheated. Absolutely awful food and VERY expensive. My advice is stay at Dolphin Bay Resort but eat elsewhere.

Good place for young kids

The room is clean and spacious. The bed is a bit too soft. The staff are nice and friendly. The location is not near Hua Hin but it is as expected. It will be great if there is a convenient store nearby. The breakfast selection is adequate but it will be better if the fruit are covered as it is in open area. Young kids will love this place as the center area can provide so much fun for them. This is the main point of visiting this resort!

This was a great location and would be hard to beat. It is right opposite the beach and the road is vary quiet so no traffic noise or problem to cross to the beach. The pool was placed in the centre of the property so that rooms all faces it but were still private. Each room had a balcony with a table and chairs. Food was good as you are a pretty captive market there.

Quiet and a fantastic place for kids

This trip was a holiday trip for our family. My 10 yr. old son enjoyed a lot during our stay in your hotel. The open field for play, recreational amenities and the swimming pool is the dream facility for him. He spent most of the time outdoor. But unfortunately, the weather was not good for frolicking in the beach; it was cold and waves were too strong.

Relaxing family holiday

A really quiet and relaxing place to spend a family vacation. Very kid (and parent!) friendly. Basic room facilities but everything clean tidy and functional. Beautiful pools, our 2 year old loved the toddler pool. Playroom and playground were also a good additional activity. Beach was a bit dirty but I think this is probably the time of year - we still played in the sand everyday, just didn't swim. Excellent restaurant with very affordable prices (we ate their every day). Not much within walking distance if you want to explore it is probably a good idea to rent a car. There is a daily shuttle to Huahin.

Perfect hotel for affordable vacation with kids

This is the perfect place to stay if you have small children and want an affordable hotel. There is lots of outdoor play space with playground equipment in great condition, a small room with kids toys, books, and movies, two nice small pools including a great slide for kids, and the hotel is right on the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and there are some good cheap local restaurants nearby. Highly recommend the hotel spa and massages!

Very family friendly place. Friendly owners and helpful staff. The rooms are not the Hilton but excellent value for money. There is a nice pool which the kids love to play in. There is a water slide which is a big hit with the children. We went with our 2.5 year old daughter and we loved it. Bring lots of mosquito repellent for the evenings and if you're looking for a family place then you'll be happy with this one.

Stayed here one night while driving from Phuket to Bangkok. Nice location, just across from the beach. Staff was friendly but not overly helpful. The room was clean, good size, simple though with nice amenities - safe included in room, small refrigerator, small balcony. No wi-fi signal in room. The bathroom was small but functional, dark even with the light on. Would stay here again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

Super sted som vi har boet på før. Naturen her findes ikke meget bedre. Vil anbefale at leje en motorbike, da trafikken er moderat og der er masser af små steder man kan spise eller få en drink. Ikke første og ej heller sidste gang jeg besøger dette lille paradis.

Great for kids!

I have not been traveling too much, and therefore I am not sure if I am the right person to right this review, but honestly, for our family, this place simply felt like a piece of paradise on earth!
It was so much better that we anticipated and it worked great with kids, having the restaurant just beside the pool and the beach. The apartment (villa) was HUGE and easily fit us all.
The receptionists were extremely kind and helped us arranging vast of unforgettable tours, making it really easy for us and very comfortable!
If you up for relaxing and adventuring with smaller kids, this is definitely worth a visit!

At the beach!! A lot of deckchairs and chairs with thick cushions.
There is a lot of green and the area is very spacious.
We stayed at a lot of resorts but this one is the best by far.
So we checked in for the second time and experienced the same positive vibe.

Palle alene i verden

Troede egentlig jeg havde booket hotel i hua hin, det viste sig så at være 50 km syd for.
Det var kun 3 familier foruden os på hotellet og resten af området var ogsp rimelig mennesketomt, okay hvis man vil have fred og ro, lidt kedeligt hvis man er til lidt action.
Heldigvis havde vi bil så vi kunne køre når ensomheden blev for overdøvende.
Til trods var det et virkeligt flot sted og pæne omgivelser og stor strand, dog grumset vand måske derfor jeg var den eneste på hele strandvejen der badede der.
Hotellet mangler ikke faciliteter dog er restaurantens mad tilrettet sarte europæiske maver, så ikke autentisk thai mad, vi spiste der kun 1 gang.

Mooie accommodatie, zeer ruime kamer en schoon. De tuin, het zwembad en het terrein wordt goed onderhouden. Delphine Bay Resort heeft het mooiste stukje strand.

Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het restaurant is ook top!

Ruhige, saubere und vor allem - für Kinder - toll

Wir waren in der Nebensaison (August). Die Regenzeit war kein Problem. Es tröpfelte nur vereinzelt. Unterkunft ruhig, sehr sauber, Essen lecker. Sehr viel Angebote - auch für kleine Kinder. Pools gut und Liegen ausreichend. Im Meer baden, aufgrund Ebbe / Flut eher nachmittags.

허름하고 낡은 숙소

처음 보는 순간..뭐지?..라는 생각이 들 만큼
허름한 숙소였다.
욕실엔 샴푸도 없고 비누만 있는 정도에 타올도 눅눅한 느낌이었고 에어컨은 틀면 곰팡이 바람이 나오는 듯한 숙소였다.
결국 나와 남편은 가른 숙소를 찾아 숙박을 했고 돌핀에 결제한 숙박비는 돌려받지 못했다. 깔끔한 성격이라면 비추한다.

This is actually exceeded my expectations, the hotel got everything i need. And it’s actually perfect for parents with kids, it’s very safe with a lot of lot of lot of kids staying in the hotel. The hotel gor so many activities for kids and parents can enjoy sun-bathing.

Cet établissement est remarquable pour une famille avec des enfants : deux piscines avec différentes profondeurs et nombreux jouets, ping pong, baby foot, location de scooter et de vélos a des prix très raisonnables. Le restaurant propose des plats occidentaux appréciés par les enfants et Thaï. La plage est a une trentaine de mètres devant l'hôtel. Pour les visites a proximité, fameuse grotte avec temple, île aux singes, mangrove. Je recommande sans réserve le dolphin Bay Resort.
