Reception and staff were ok and helpful. Clearly housekeeping was the major issue: dirty sink, rubbish in the sinkhole, stained duvet and pillowcases, stained iron plate, no jug kettle, run down ironing board. What's worse was had very disturbed sleep. Creepy noises and window in the bathroom was left open by the hotel (don't know for what reason???) By far this has been one of my worst for 2- day stay at any hotel. For the rates charged of over RM200, that's just unacceptable. I suggest the hotel reduce the rate to RM100-150 which will justify their setbacks.

Good experience still many ways to imrpove

Location quite isolated from many common amenities and very little signage to access the location. Staff if friendly and room is clean. However some of the fittings are not well maintained ie water tap is detached, water heater for shower malfunction and complimentary mini bar not well managed is insufficient items provided.

The hotel makes my family stay better and safe. I hope this hotel concept (Islamic hotel) can be extended to many hotel providers in Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak. As a Sabahan, I have seen many opportunistic people have exploited hotels in Sabah for sex based businesses. Sex is ONLY for a married couple (PLEASE TAKE NOTE!). The TH Hotel, however, sparks the significance of Islamic concept of hotel where the family value, harmony and maqasid are brought into play.

Good hotel to stay.

As always the hotel did not disappoint me. The room was big, clean & nice. Checkin at 3pm but have to check out at 6pm because 1 family member suddenly died of road accident. Is there any way that I can have refund or exchange or coupon because there nothing had been used & move in the room. The front desk told me that they already cancel the room but its up to expedia/hotel to do something about it. I am a Gold member. Tq

A hotel ideal for families with young children

For a family wanting to stay together in one room.This hotel offers exceptional value and comfort really. I would certainly reccommend it for families.The rooms and bathrooms really are very good. The views are reasonable. The location is s tad out of town and this would be the main draw back in my view.That said the taxi to and from is reasonaly priced and thr hotel is jandy too and from the Airport.The hotel is good for those wishing to reduce their alcohal consumption as it is a dry hotel.The food in the restuarant was very good although the breakfast was considered less good by my children

1. Location very inconvenient.
2. Room without aircond, complaint and waited for 30 minutes nobody attend us. Neede to go to reception to complaint again.
3. After dinner, they changed another room. But room conditions is very dirty and they don't send anyone to solve the dirts.

Awesome value for money hotel in the City

Arrived late at 11 pm and check-in was quick. The room allocated to my wife and me has a minor defect on the wash basin, and upon reporting about it, the reception staff gave us another room without hesitation. The room has 3 single beds, which I think is the standard feature of this hotel in order to maximise value for money. It is pleasant, clean, while lights and air-conditioning works well. The bathroom is fitted with a nice rain shower.

The hotel is well-located, near Sutera Harbour Resort and Grace Point Food Court (clean, extensive variety, tasty and reasonable prices).

We had a rented car and it was easy to move around to the Jesselton Point Jetty (Island trips), City Centre and out of the City locations. The complimentary car park space is ample, and there is guardhouse manned by an Auxiliary Policeman at the entrance at all times, hence there is a sense of security.

We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights, and would stay again the next time we are in Kota Kinabalu.

this is the 2nd time my family & i've stayed at TH hotel KK in a year & the quality of service has gone down a lot. the rooms & reataurant were dirty & not properly maintained, the housekeeping staff do not change the towels, instead just dump the used ones on the bed instead of leaving them hanging in the bathroom. what logics is that?!

Wow! Almost expected when I arrived and saw the best, comfortable, spacious & more cleanliness hotel with the great & polite staffs. I cancelled my flight to Miri that I check in the TH Hotel because I want to be stay longer at that hotel with the great, comfortable & cleanliness. Hope I'll come back there & try the best dishes. The breakfast mostly more healthy & give more energy before I attend my first workshop at Auditorium Queen Elizabeth Kota Kinabalu. However difficult to catch the bus to the town & pay more the taxi there.

My family and I have stayed here for a night and there was very good hotel to be staying. Easy to access and there a lots of parking at the hotel. Very smooth check in and chech out due to friendly staff. Room was quiete big and I've got room upgraded without paying any extra. Food was delicious, I really like the bread pudding. Hoping there are swimming pool here to do my exercises. Very recommended this hotel to all. Less pay, superb stay.

Room towels were not changed daily unless requested. Used glass was transferred from room to toilet sink and left there for us to wash after we came back from our day trip.We have not had such experience from our stay at other hotels. However staff was very accommodating when we checked in 1 hour earlier. Above incidents were really unfortunate and hopefully was just one off.

Filthy bed sheets and floor, poor hotel management

Booked two rooms for 4 nights. Toilet of room 1 broke down, bathroom flooded, got fixed in time fortunately. Stains on bed sheets and carpet. No changing of towels or bed sheets or floor vacuuming until 4th night.

Toilet of room 2 broke down also, bathroom flooded, maintenance team didn't work until next morning. Asked for towels to absorb the water temporarily, but were told that towels are charged?! Had to change to another room immediately, but couldn't stand the shoeprints, stains and hair all over the bed sheets, ants in the room, as well as dusts on the floor. We were offered more rooms to choose from, but at the end chose the first room offered to us as it was the least filthy. Dared not sleep under the duvet that night.

Reminded the receptionist twice to keep the original room for us after toilet is fixed, because it was comparatively cleaner. They forget and gave the room to another customer the next day. Went back to the room we changed to and checked the bed sheets and floor - still the same, nothing changed or cleaned. Had to change room again.

Hotel's location was difficult to find, taxi drivers got lost, nothing nearby. Slow wifi in both rooms. Basic amenities e.g. tissue paper missing. Breakfast was average, food was cold.

One star for the friendly attitude of the hotel staff in checking-in, helping us to change rooms, receiving our complaints, and arranging refund for us. But we won't stay here again.

Value for money hotel stay

Having been here before, we have somewhat set our expectation accordingly. The purpose of our stay is to do some transactions with the government offices and the location is fantastic as there is urban Transformation Centre which is stone throw away from the hotel. The room is comfortable and the breakfast spread is decent.

The Room is not what we book!

I am travelling with my family members and I have booked for family room for 4 at your website which is 1King bed and 2 single beds. When we check in that day the room is not what we booked. They only have 1King bed and 1 single bed which make us uncomfortable to stay.

A great stay!

Arrived at hotel around 2AM and check in was a breeze. My 4 day stay was really relaxing. The room service portions were huge and very delicious they were also moderately priced. The free breakfast was also enjoyable.
The room was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The in room ironing board was nice as we didn't have to request one. The bathroom was clean, smelled great and had a nice rainfall shower head.
During our entire stay, every employee was always showing a huge smile. The hotel has great staff and I commend them for it. Check out was literally 2 minutes and the taxi we requested earlier in the day was patiently waiting for us at midnight. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my colleagues and friends.

We stayed here for 3 nights, 2 before we climbed Mt. Kinabulu and 1 after. For that, the hotel is fine but little more...

The food is terrible and that was our biggest issue. On the first stay, our room was fine. Second stay, no hot water.

The hotel staff are friendly and do their best to help.

I stayed here for 2 seperate nights on the same trip (before and after climbing the mountain). First stop was great, room was as expected and food was better than expected. Second stay was poor, room stank, cockroaches, filthy and no dirty towels and sheets. Front desk were also supposed to arrange a taxi to the airport but they forgot (along was a pre-booked breakfast)
