The room was comfortable, sufficiently spacious, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was really good.... if you know it will be an Asian/Malaysian meal. i.e. rice, beef and chicken curries (mild), eggs, and good sauces. There was also toast, jam, cereals, juice and tea or coffee. Coffees from the espresso machine cost extra.

Good location

Oceania has become our favourite whenever we are in Kota Kinabalu. Staff are helpful and attentive ro your requests. They prepared ironing board and prayer mat even without prior request. Extra Pillows are useful . Nice space for luggages. Bathroom is spacious .. will definitely be back !

Rooms are good, but it depends which one you get. We had room 116 first, which had no view at all (only a parking building), while 305 was nice. Also there were a few plumbing issues (floater in toilet stuck, one time brown water coming out of the sink). Breakfast is decent but not outstanding. The internet (wifi) is a bit slow but working.

The staff are friendly and nice, there are a few malay food restaurants nearby which is quite convenient. However, there is rubbish inside the dustbin when I just check in, the curtain looks dirty , the area is very dark at night which make me feel insecure.

Our guest informed us that there's lot of hair at their bed which they clearly dissatisfied with it.

Furthermore, they did not get their breakfast during his stay as the hotel staff informed him that the breakfast is not included. However, the room we booked for our guest do included breakfast for two.

Kindly advise us on the second issue.

Very dirty, you will regret to stay in.

( - ) Stay a week but the cleaner didn't vacum and sweep the floor, my hair fall can see everywhere, no give shower bath after one day finish, no wipe tables because the dust can see. The most worst part is the toilet, very dirty. Can see the dirt everywhere and no clean at all everyday. I believe the hotel cleaner didn't take proper training, I wouldn't stay in again. This hotel cleanliness so worst due my skin problems, very itchy and see the doctor to get medicine at KK.

( + ) the receptionist is polite and helpful, room big and quiet.

Overall : don't stay in unless you love to get skin or hygiene problems.

The only downside was that some guests were a bit noisy at night and as the room is not soundproof we struggled to fall sleep. Apart from that, big clean rooms, good eating places outside, walking distance to malls.

Quiet hotel close to good restaurants

All the staff were professional, helpful and kind. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast for 20 ringgit. I liked the area because it was close to downtown, Imago but quiet with a few convenient stores and good restaurants to choose from

Firstly the room we had in the first night was very hot. Air conditioned was not working. Shower head was broken
The next day we requested to change room.
Room key was delivered and we change our room. But to our disappointment, the room was dirty- it was the toilet.
Then they changed our room again.
Apparently they upgraded us to a bigger room.
However the room was not completed with the floor towel when we went there. We came back late at night only realise there were no floor towel.
You all need to buck up floor cleaners and your checklist in your room.
Overall the staffs did respond to our complain. That is the plus point

Pretty good hotel. Clean and quiet with free shuttle services to town centres. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only the housekeeping need to be improved. Housekeeping staff not very reliable in cleaning and replenishing usable items. Curtains do not cover properly leaving a gap for outsiders to look into the room. Should consider putting a translucent film on the windows.

Good hotel

The hotel has good size rooms and is comfortable and value for money.

The only downside being a 15 minute walk to the malls. However there is a convenience store and a local food court round the corner.

Decent stay

Room is spacious. Maintenance is obviously lacking. Breakfast choice used to be good but is not anymore. Housekeeping need to do a better job. But receptions were quick to resolve any issues that I had which is a plus point. Food around the area is not great so better take a Grab to go to town for great food.

I like the interior design of your hotel especially the room. Simple but nice. Located near to city centre e.g alll the pasar. Even it's not within walking distance (for people lazy like me). The place are quite and not crowd as the hotel in city centre.

You get what you pay for...

Okay breakfast, room that was quite dark because of position (cheaper priced room)...free pool (billiards) in the evening - well...free if you’re Muslim (you get to keep the pool table key)... limited if you’re not (staff unlock pool table after each game when you’re Caucasian). staff on reception speak limited English and have no clue about customer care.

Good access, large room

We stayed for four nights. It was comfortable to stay there. We stayed at bigger room, and it was very large for two people. Everything was fine such as wi-fi connection, bus service, attitude of the staff members and condition of the room(I guess this hotel was built quite recently...). There were a convenience store. And many places to have meals. From street restaurants to ordinary restaurants. You should choose here to stay at Kota Kinabalu at reasonable price!

Lovely hotel next to the Sabah Gooners club meets

Love the breakfast and shuttle service to town. There is no lack of eateries and D’riverside cafe is where Sabah Gooners Club gathers to watch the Arsenal games.

I have stayed there on several occasions. Front desk staffs are mostly friendly. There is now a food court nearby so easier to get food. Housekeeping a bit lacking. Bathroom tiles are mouldy. They sometimes don't replenish the toiletries and coffee/tea. However, just call front desk and they will rectify the problems. Air conditioning not so cold in some of the rooms.

Little bit out of the way but

Hotel is clean and has large windows with a decent view of the area. The restaurant serves a good breakfast in the morning and there are several other restaurants in the area. Access to the area by cab or Uber is a little complicated but doable. Hotel sits next to a river. Internet okay but TV lacking any news channels.

However, it was not easy to find out number to front desk when I wanted to call and after I found the number and called the front desk, no one responded to the call.
