We stay at this property cuouple times every 9 months... Sadly this trip was somewhat of a let-down for us even after property upgrades of resent times... Simple repairable-fixable things were not maintained since last stay, same room..
Alarm clock didn't work, the standing room lamp didn't work, bathroom electrical oulet 1/2 plug didn't work, no hair dryer this time, a few bathroom tiles not attached nor glued, tub stopper missing, & bedsite light & charger ports were dead & lastly... TV had vertical lines at startup...
So we don't ask for much, but no lights don't cut it & the wife wasn't with no tub plug & having to wad up a wash rag.. What are we paying $115.00 bucks a nite for..???
This was a 39.95 stay... Sadly Sad Sad..
Will state peple staff are the best & breakfast lady was a peach...!!! Very happy they had two (2) working ice machines at leasy this trip 1st & 2nd floor...
Will give it 1 more experience chance, after that, if no changes, it's back to Danville, KY options.. TY

Couldn’t figure out the shower for a short time. Had to pull down on the faucet where the water comes out. Never seen that before.

We did not partake of the breakfast...we are not breakfast eaters. Not sure how rooms are cleaned. Spill marks on bed base, shower floor could use a brush and bleach. Looked like mold at top of shower on wallpaper. Grout by shower could use the same treatment. The part of our stay that was really disturbing was after midnight when trying to sleep for long drive home. Desk manager knocked on room next door. Instead of taking problem to lobby to discuss, they in their deep man voices proceeded to discuss problem and other things in hall. Finally at 2:30 am after several attempts to get to sleep, we packed up and left.

There was an odd smell in our room. It looked like the property was newer overall so was surprised that the room smelled like that. The tv was also weird - had to have deal staff come to the room and show us how to even turn it on. Breakfast selection was not very good at all.

First room I was put in on second floor was either already occupied or hadn’t been cleaned so was put in another room on main floor. Could not get curtains to stay completely closed without a gap that someone could see through from outside. There are hooks or something missing causing the curtains to hang uneven which caused the gap. Asked for something to pin closed but desk clerk couldn’t find anything. So after room number 3…I finally got to settle down.

We originally had a handicap room, but thankfully they were able to move us to another one. Really I would have given 5 stars, but they really need to fix their WIFI long in page. All the needed information is in white and the background is also white. When you have white on white it makes it very difficult to see what you need to do to log on. Everything else was fine, but that problem really needs to be fixed.

Cleaning staff was nice and polite but the woman at the desk were not very friendly and honestly seemed perturbed when asked to even come to the desk. Breakfast was horrible!! Not much to do at the hotel. But I think the thing that got the me the most was the blood on my bedding. Which I didn’t see until checking out because on the side of comforter facing the bed. Disgusting.

Bathroom light above sink was burned out, entire face of air conditioning unit was falling off, spot about the size of a basketball on the floor was extremely sticky, breakfast was sub par and cold. Mother stayed here as well and had the privacy curtain in her window falling off, and the sheer curtain had a huge hole in it. When she informed the staff, they just shrugged.

The value was good especially for that weekend! The bathroom needs attention. The wall paper was torn, ripped and stained. Something was on the wall and it looked like it was pulled off leaving holes in the wall. The caulking around the walk in shower was moldy. The room itself was nice with clean, comfortable sheets. I probably would not choose to stay there again.

From the moment we entered, there was zero greeting, in fact the man running the counter had no name tag or uniform on, just a plain tshirt. he barely spoke a word to me, didn't say anything about the breakfast times or where to find it, wifi, etc...the normal check in schpeel. Our key didnt work to our room, he tried the key, he remade a new key and that one didn't work so then he said he would move us to a new room. This room had 8 stink bugs crawling the ceiling. The wallpaper next to the shower was peeled back four inches with black mold on the wall, the room smelled like mildew, spiderwebs in the corner and dead bugs. The toilet seat had one bolt broken so you were fighting to stay on the toilet. The curtains were gross. Both coverlets on the beds had brown stains on them. The TV wasn't hooked up right and thankfully my husband was able to get around it. The only positive is the carpet seemed relatively new and the sheets seemed clean. I would not stay here again. No customer service and hotel needs a deep clean, some upgrades, bugs gone, mildew/mold problem handled ( no fan in the bathroom is a killer). It's conveniently located so it has potential.

Great location for our needs... Sadly after staying twice a year for the last 4-5 years, this property has back slided on upkeep... Room TV remotes are maddening & TV's do not reset properly...
Having gone from an ice maker on each floor to just one ice maker on ground floor to dispensing at the front desk because of inferior equipment & poor majntence... Its the little things that add up that make one think twice picking this property again in the future... Only because of caring front desk guy is the only reason that salvaged our last stay... Just saying.....

Ants, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, toilet was not fully clean, secondary security latch was missing, if my husband hadn’t been with me I would not have stayed there. Also the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming in our nonsmoking room and the bathroom door didn’t shut. Breakfast options were limited at best. Absolutely nothing close by. We were exhausted after a 13 hour drive and had to drive another 10 or so minutes to find food. Don’t stay here. It was only $100 and we were only there one night. I will pay more to stay elsewhere next time.

The room was clean, but the shower was not. The grout had broken away in spots and instead of regrouting they used caulking. At first I thought it was stained, but I tried to remove some of it and it came off. Apparently, it just hadn’t been cleaned very well. The toilet seat was also cracked, and it would pinch your rear end if you sat on it the wrong way. We would have made the desk aware of these issues upon checkout, but the poor clerk was also having to work the breakfast bar due to a staff shortage.

I think that if there is anything I would criticize is the breakfast. I tried the sausage and I truly could not tell what it was made of. Processed turkey gives me a real stomach ache and when I was not able to confirm that is was pork and not sausage, I was not able to eat it. I am pre diabetic and getting enough protein vs carbs was difficult.

Road Trip Migraine < Perfect R&R

During a recent road trip with my brother, I developed an intense migraine and needed an unscheduled day and night of peaceful respite to recover and continue the trip. This hotel in Nicholasville was perfect. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating. This was exactly what I needed. The next day we even added Nicholasville to our list of explorations along our road trip and liked it so much, we plan to visit again!

Nice place. Pros: beds were comfortable, bedside lights were great, breakfast was good but lacked variety over the course of our stay, staff was very friendly and in general the place was clean. Cons: chairs in the room were awful making it uncomfortable to hang out in there; in one room there was a creepy looking mold growing behind the toilet. While there was an ice machine, there were no vending machines with empty spaces where they should have been. As for ecofriendly aspects, there was NO evidence of anything ecofriendly. We were not unhappy with our stay, but there were several things that were lacking.

The room smelled like cigarettes, asked the front desk and they informed us that they was booked and didn't have another room to move us to. Then the tv had 4 lights on the screen that was very annoying to watch anything. The shower had mold in the edges. Under the counter in the bathroom had dirty wash clothes, from previous guest, dishes that had dust bunnies covering them. Around the AC unit, was wet from moisture from the unit covering up mold. The hall way didn't look like the had vacumn for weeks. The stairway was nasty, dirty, dead bugs, cob webs, the emergency lights was taking down just the wiring was hanging on the wall. The beds did not have a mattress cover, sheets had red spots, blanket was not clean had dirty and spots. The breakfast sucked, cold coffee, and lets not forget you had to push the door for the stairway up then out to open, very on safe. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, RIN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

While the gentleman at the front desk was nice, the room was outdated and there was black mold in the shower and window seal. It was very musty smelling and the towels were not the whitest. Very disappointing as we have stayed here in the past and do not recall it being so bad. The TV was shot to the point you just saw the lights showing through the screen. We could not get another room elsewhere as everything was sold out for festival.

I ended up with a rash after staying for 3 nights. My husband said it might be the detergent but they look like bites more than skin irritation.
Check in staff was friendly.
There was a band there making loud music each night. It was hard to sleep and many other patron we spoke with said they even asked to change rooms due to the noise.

This particular Comfort Inn looked nice on the outside. The room we were first in hadn't been cleaned so we requested a different room. (We checked in at 7:00 PM.) The second room, while the bed had been made, the room was not clean. The next day when we arrived back at our room, the safety latch was holding the door open. When I asked the desk about it, they said that one of the maids does do that!!! The sheet and comforter were just thrown up on the bed. It was not made. We were at the end of the hallway right near a side entrance. The key pad at that entrance was broken so all you had to do was jerk on the door and it opened! AND our room door was left "open". There were dead cockroaches in the entryway as well. We were not provided with shampoo,etc and the bathroom floor was not swept. We will NOT stay there again.

Certainly impressed with the state of the hotel compared to a few years ago. Beds are super comfortable and a personal favorite of mine is all of the fluffy yet supportive pillows you get on the bed unlike most other hotels. Staff is always welcoming & helpful with anything you need 😊.

The room smelled clean. Plenty of space. Lots of charging ports. Excellent lighting options. Room with single king bed had a spacious sitting area with a simple desk for office duties on the go. Price was fair. We were going to stop at Danville. But they were all full. This motel had great parking and it was quiet. A great breakfast is included, biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, and so forth. Along with the cereals and toast. Not a lot of options for an old fat diabetic but it was excellent all the same. Staff was very nice. Being somebody who uses a wheelchair, I needed to lower the bed so that I could get into it and they allowed us to remove the metal frame under the bed which worked perfectly. The only real issue was the size of the bathroom. It had a cut out for the wheelchair to get close to the sink, but the door opened up into the bathroom, which made it a little difficult to transfer into a shower chair in the tub. Also, there was no handheld shower.

The good and the bad

The good - location was good, the price was good, the breakfast was good, our room was mostly clean, the wifi had a pretty good signal
The not so good - I did find one roach in our room but it got away before I could kill it. Also, there were no drawers to use for unpacking my suitcase, the page where you had to sign on to their wifi had white lettering on a white backgroud - which makes no sense at all, and made it difficult to get signed on.
Still, I would seriously consider staying there again the next time I am in Nicholasville, if the price is right. Apparently their prices vary from time to trime.
