We moved from the area over 25 years ago. We were coming back for Easter and read some of the reviews and was skeptical of staying. We walked in and were greeted with two very friendly staff. The room was clean and we loved the larger fridge. We did not eat at the breakfast buffet only because we were off to a family members house for breakfast on Easter but my husband got coffee and said it looked good. Checking out we had another two very friendly staff members. I would stay there again and we enjoyed our stay.

Awesome customer service! Max, Kaitlin, and 2 other people were working on our 2 nights Howell and were always there to help and answer questions. (I lost my list of names, hoping i can go back and add them!) Thx again for the milk! Hot chocolate was an added bonus!

The room was very out dsted carpet is stained mattress needs replaced. Wind was blowing through window didnt close tight. Toilet seat needs repair. The windows dont have anything to close to keep light out. Not sure smoke alarm works it had something over looked like a diaper.

My Dad has stayed here for the last 10 years over the holidays, usually everything is good. But the renovations still aren’t done going on year 3…I believe, the lobby looks great! No lounge chairs in room anymore, was told they were thrown out & not replaced yet. The pool is always cold & unfortunately the breakfast was cold every morning & on the 3rd day there was hair in the potatoes. Staff doesn’t have hair pulled back or in nets. The hotel wasn’t busy at all, so this stay wasn’t the best but we will be back! Love the convenience of the mall & easy to get too.

Was not a great stay only the check in. The staff was great but very young girls running it with only one on shift at a time. We were in suite on third floor and at 12:00 am a man proceeded to beat on door next to us yelling safety check and he was calling police. I stepped out and he said the person was suicidal. I had my 10 year old granddaughter and my daughters with me. Everyone was terrified. This proceeded for over an hour and a half. We switched rooms and was terrified. My granddaughter has a gymnastic competition at 8am. Our stay was ruined.
The floor should have been evacuated. If the person shot it could have went through the walls and no one needs to witness this. My sympathy goes out to the person and family but my stay was terrible.

Great service, unclean hotel overall

Max, the receptionist, was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast was well stocked and I could tell the woman running it took pride in her work, and was very friendly, even towards the kids.
The pool area didn't have many towels for guests to use (after 9pm so maybe they had just run out for the day.)
There was no bedding in our room for the sofa bed but Max was quick to grab me some when I asked. We booked a suite room for our family of 8 and the floors were pretty gross and the room definitely needs a deep cleaning. The hotel itself could use a deep cleaning or at least cleaning to baseboards and flooring ( the things that people notice when they are hoping not to bring bugs home with them!) Overall, Id rank the stay a 7.5 because Max was very kind and intentional in her welcoming of guests and I know it's not her job to keep the hotel clean. Id only return if we couldnt find a hotel closer to our destination next time because I'm a germaphobe and the bathrooms and cleanliness is a big deal for my family.

The lobby looked nice. Our room was pretty shabby. The carpeting had stains throughout. Furniture dinged up. The office chair was dirty. Lamp shades dusty. Dead bugs in the bathroom light. The tub was slow to drain. Looking back, I absolutely should have requested a different room.

Only complaint was the sloppy maid service. I come back and the maid had just tossed up the comforter instead of making the bed. And only refreshed 1/2 the towels. The hallways have brown duck tape on the carpet I guess to keep the seams together. But it’s clear they are remodeling so I expect that will get cleared up. You can tell in the rooms it’s been a long time since it’s gotten a refresh. So many dings and marks on the walls and ceiling. The rooms are large and when I checked in my room was clean. Breakfast the first day was amazing. Second day no yogurt, hardly any milk, l guess Sunday workers do not put much out. But the area was clean. I was there on business so in and out. I would stay again.

Recommend taking a hand light /makeup mirror. Poor bathroom lighting, was like CANDLE Light :( Room phone was DEAD on my end when I tried to call Front Desk. When reported, staff did not appear to understand this is a SAFETY issue, esp. for older adults. NO ONE said, \"I'm sorry about that\" or \"Thank you for telling us\" or \"We'll take care of it\".

The bed was comfortable and clean. We were disappointed there was just one small chair, and no couch, but maybe that’s because we got a standard room. Some of the tiles in the bathroom were loose. The two rooms our group stayed in could have used some minor repairs - room 303 has loose tiles in front of toilet and could use some tile repair/caulking around outside base of tub. Room 301 has a loose/broken front right leg on the desk. In both rooms, the two electrical outlets in bathrooms did not work, which in turn rendered the mounted hairdryers from working. The young lady who checked us in immediately provided us with brand new portable hairdryers, however they could only be used in the bedroom area, not the bathrooms because of the nonfunctioning outlets. Other than that, the hotel was nice, clean and fine.

The staff is very pleasant and efficient. Check-in and check out is a breeze. The common areas are immaculate, quiet, and comfortable, as is my room. I would definitely stay here again.
The only suggestion I have is for better lighting and maybe a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Putting on cosmetics properly is frustrating

We were traveling for sports and our team picked this hotel because of the location, pool and breakfast. I tried to sign up for the rewards program when I checked in, but the front desk said they were unable to help at that time. When we got up to our room, our carpets looked like somebody had walked through with wet feet. They were dark and soiled. After speaking with other teammates, this seemed pretty common throughout the hotel. Another teammate was told that they weren’t able to switch rooms because they were pretty much sold out.The pool was clean and the kids had a good time swimming. It was very cold! Breakfast had the potential to be awesome and we really looked forward to the advertised cinnamon rolls. Breakfast went until 10 in the morning and by 815 they were out of a lot of the breakfast food. Staff informed us that they were “cleaned out early!“ And there was no intention of making More. Several disappointed kids (and parents) resulting in us having to go out to breakfast and spend a lot more money. It would have been understandable if we arrived 15 minutes prior to it closing. One of the perks of traveling is being able to sleep in and not have to worry about making breakfast if you pick the right hotel. We didn’t get to sleep in and we missed out on a good breakfast. Overall, it served its purpose for housing the team, but Not likely to stay again.

Horrible, staff was clueless, adjoining rooms were 6 rooms away, called prior to confirm and that apparently doesn't make a different, many stains on carpet in bedroom, pullout had no sheets, blankets. Smells and odor of must, dirt and mold was horrible. Manager doesn't care at all they do is leave some AI dumb ignorant excuses below. Will definitely not stay here again!

Dirty/Stained/Broken Down hotel

The furniture was unbelievably stained. Carpets was stain and gross. Huge cracks in the bathroom around the sink. Tile was broken. I pulled the sheets back and there was human at clearly Cat or Dog hair all over the sheets. I was one of those places that you didn’t want to leave your bags on the ground because it was that gross. I stayed in the suite because I had my family. After getting into the room I felt terrible that this is where my family was going to sleep. Gross Gross Gross

The room was not in good condition. When we arrived there was still trash and dirty towels from the guests before. Every inch of the room was either stained, or broken. The pull out sofa sleeper was so disgusting and stained we had to ask for a roll away bed. The bathtub was gross that even after we scrubbed it ourselves we had to lay a towel down just to use it.

Breakfast was good, and dining area was clean. The front desk was very helpful and very nice, however, the maid staff was extremely rude and actually told my family to “move” when we were in her way in the lobby.

Heaters in rooms not working properly, had to have one in our party moved to another room, heater no better. Not good for an 80 year old cold natured person. This hotel needs completely renovated, noticed duct tape on carpet seams in hallways, room carpeting was old and stained, furnishings/walls etc very very worn. Only hotel rooms I could find in the area with two University home football games. And with the jacked up rates, totally not worth the money paid. Will not stay here again.
