Very disappointed in this place. First stay was good, very predictable Marriott quality. Our last stay was awful. Booked into one of the only available rooms, a double king, which isn’t a big deal. This must’ve been the oldest room in the place and the lock didn’t work. They had us right next to the compressor room so all night long we heard that thing turning on and off. And after a poor nights sleep, we got up for what used to be complimentary coffee only to learn they now charge for it. Yep. $5.30 for basic black coffee. Staff said the owner made this move, not Marriott themselves. So while we won’t be back anytime soon because the premium price isn’t worth how little you get, the staff was really fantastic. And if you do stay, avoid getting room #214.

There were several signs of age in the room and throughout the hotel. Cracked drywall, poorly fixed drywall holes. Carpet had holes in it. The first room smelled like body odor so I requested a new room. Elevator floor had wet floor cone inside for two days. The floor was dirty and aged. The pool was very cloudy. There was trash on a table that was there for two days. We picked it up on the second day. The staff were friendly though. The hotel is in clear need of upgrades. Paying a couple hundred dollars isn’t cheap and Im surprised this company hasn’t cracked the whip on this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel. Thanks.

Clean rooms, asked for connecting rooms, did not get them. Shower never got hot in either room. Price is high compared to others in the area, restaurant/limited bar area appeared to be only rarely used. Pool had lots of kids, Outback and Cracker Barrel next door. Based on the price 25 -50 a night higher than others nearby, I would not spend the extra $$ again

We stayed in the suite for my daughter's wedding. Wasnt sure what to expect because I didnt see any photos online for the suite. It was very spacious with a livingroom space with a pull out couch, a high top table with two stools, sink, fridge and microwave in living room area. Separate bedroom with tv in there as well, double sink vanity and separate room with the toilet/shower

The hotel was clean, updated and in a convenient area. My only complaint was the noise we heard coming from doors shutting very often early in the morning, we were on the bottom floor in room 130 so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Other than that, we were pretty happy with everything.

I ask if I could up grade the room to just a king size bed they said they could not even though I was will to pay extra for a upgrade but they said because i went through expedia I could not change rooms. I have never had a problem like this plus they wanted us to pay 7.00 a person for breakfast and it was just muffins, cereal and coffee. I could see if it was a hot breakfast.

When I booked the booking was with breakfast and we were two in the room, when taking breakfast they said only one will get free while the other to pay! I have never seen this kind of treatment before. It was strange for me. The breakfast itself was not ready, you order they make like restaurant! That was inconvenient.

we told the front desk the tv didnt work and they said there was no one who would help. almost noone in the hotel and they didnt ask if we wanted to change rooms. they were very nice on the surface but clearly didnt care or most of the tvs in the. entire place were broke. although service horrible, facility was nice. impossible to skeep on very lumpy bed.

My rating on staff is not due to the staff, which was excellent. Mi low was for the service. There was no free coffee no big coffee when we came down there was no hot breakfast and even if there was we had to pay for everything at some thing I’m not used to nor do I want if I stay someplace that has breakfast I expect free breakfast.

Overall disappointed with this property. Usually the ratings on Expedia represent the hotels I stay at pretty accurately but this was an exception. Initially couldn’t shorten the dates I was staying due to my room selection not being available for change. When I checked in for the original dates, wasn’t even given the type of room I requested because “Marriott is allowed to overbook rooms”. Which is interesting because I wasn’t allowed to change the room type when trying to change my dates. Then during my stay I kept finding these bites all on my legs. Initially thought bed bugs and scoured the room for them. Didn’t find anything. On my check out day, found out that there were ants coming from a crack in the bathroom floor/wall and these were what was biting me. Had a big bruise and reaction to the one of the ant bites. Didn’t bother notifying hotel because at this point I was entirely over the experience and wanted no more interactions.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was clean and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The only thing I was not please was that the cafe was not open every morning. They had complimentary coffee because it was closed but no tea (that is what I drink) With no other breakfast options I was annoyed. Also- no tea in the rooms.

There were no towels in the pool area and when we asked for a towel, they said they were out and handed us two hand towels and a bath mat (better than nothing?). The cafe was expensive and the staff at the cafe never took our order after we stood there for 25 minutes. She was helping another couple and then had to prepare their food from scratch apparently and just ignored us. The walls were very thin. We could hear someone knocking on another room door in the hallway and slamming doors late at night. I did like there there was a pool. The pool area is nice. There was convenient ice on our floor. Other than the cafe staff, the front desk person was nice.

This hotel was perfectly adequate. The grounds were relatively well-kept, the staff was very professional and courteous, lobby/elevator were clean, room was clean and well-maintained. Good value for the price. The only complaint (and \"complaint\" is probably too strong a word) is that the overall property is pretty dated. The elevator is slow & rickety, the bathroom is out-dated (a tub? Really? Not a jacuzzi tub, but like a grandma's house tub. In a hotel? Don't see that much anymore...). That's it - overall, I'd say the management & staff are making the most of what they've got to work with.

Courtyard By Marriott is just a great place to stay, it's clean and quiet, close to lots of good food, and the cable is awesome, with streaming showtime and hbo. The staff is really nice, and Molly the manager makes sure your stay has all the accommodations you need, at a level second to none. If you're booking a room in Brighton, be sure to check them out!!

I really can't say enough good things about the Courtyard in Brighton, It's clean, the beds are comfy, the shower is good, with good pressure, There just isn't any disappointments here. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and Molly the manager goes above and beyond to accommodate you, and make your stay the best it can be. If you are going to be in the area, you can't go wrong staying at the Courtyard by Marriott in Brighton.

We Choose this property being a Marriott because we like Marriott properties usually. Went to check in and he was on the phone with a customer that fine he hangs up after a 10 min conversation, phone rings again instead of putting them on hold and checking us in he has a whole conversation again and goes through what type of rooms they had available to rent for a conference and we wait another 10 mins. Then we get to our room the bathroom was not cleaned we did not have one towel. Went to the front desk to ask for towels and something to clean the bathroom because housecleaning was already gone and he told me I would have to wait until morning when housekeeping came back. I told him we needed to take showers I at least needed towels he said OK came back with 2. Next day we stopped by the front counter explained to that person that our bathroom was not cleaned when we checked in the night before and we had no towels and we would be back later in the evening could some go to our room, took our room # and said no problem. Came back that evening nothing was done. We stayed for 6 nights and never had our bathroom cleaned and had to keep asking for towels. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE BE STAYING! This is the 2nd Marriott that has disappointed us they are losing our business quickly.

Outdated and dirty! Join my arrival there were dried boogers in the shower, toe nail clippings on the floor, a huge spider was on the bed and the ice maker didn’t work on my floor. The key cards had to be remade at least 5 different times. No hot tub.

We were in Brighton for a basketball tournament. We booked with at this hotel with the expectation of the pool being open. Unfortunately this was not the case. I would have booked somewhere else if I had known that the pool was closed. I said this to the front staff; no offer for discount or anything to help rectify the situation. We had some very disappointed kids from our team. Next tournament in Brighton , we will be looking elsewhere to stay, which I am bummed about because I usually like Marriot properties.

None of the employees nor the General Manager, Kevin Zaborowski were wearing masks. When the GM was asked why he and his employees weren’t wearing masks, despite’s Masks being required as enforced by Marriott and as indicated by the sign at the front desk, he said he was not requiring guests or employees to wear masks. When asked why they had a sign saying masks were required in public areas if he and his employees were not going to wear masks, he said “it’s just a sign” and that no one is required to wear masks. I asked if Marriott is requiring masks, he said no. I asked if he could provide a signed written statement, stating that he was not requiring guests or employees to wear masks. He refused and became notably shaky because he was lying. Then he told me if I didn’t like the fact that he and his staff weren’t wearing masks, I could get out. And if I didn’t get out, he would call the police (I am a black woman by the way. I’m certain he made that particular threat because of my race). I asked for his full name and his managers name. He provided me with his card and lied and said he didn’t have a manager. I called Marriott and found out he did have a manager and reached out to his manager, David Lockard.

Overall horrible experience. Avoid this place for lack of covid compliance and racial microaggressions from management.

I liked that the hotel was close to the interstate. The tv was connected to the internet, which was nice.

There is no breakfast, the staff almost never (I saw one person during my five day stay) wore masks, there was no proof of covid cleaning, and the bathrooms were straight out of the 80s.

It felt like a good hotel from the past had been given very little money to be updated. It’s easy to do COVID safety, like wearing masks.

Stayed the night of January 29. Arrived to my room with 2 rolls of toilet tissue with about 10 squares left on each roll but they did have the nice folded corners from the staff. A child’s jacket was left in the closet. Wall mounted soap and shampoo dispensers were empty but there was a small hotel size shampoo left on top of it. Muffins were set out for guests in the morning but they were $1 each. The staff was very helpful in locating a few extension cords for my husband when our diesel truck wouldn’t start. After 1 hour the block was warm enough to get on the road. Not our cleanest experience since traveling but just OK if you need a place to crash. A big thank you to the front staff for helping us get on the road.
