Staying at the Holiday Inn is nice but they charge your cred/debit card $100.00 for incidental fee. State that it will be refunded back to your card within 5 business days. It's been a month and they have not refunded my fee. The room had no incidental. And I am getting the run around with the hotel.claiming they do not have my reservation from May 23rd. Very unhappy and will never recommend a stay do to incidental fee. If I get my refund then I will change the rating.

I live in North Carolina. I reserved a room I called earlier and they told them we would arrive until 11 or 12 AM. They said that would be fine as long as I got there before 2 AM it wouldn’t be canceled. I got there at about 1130 I walked in both. The staff were very rude. They told me they already canceled my reservation and then she told me that she didn’t want to give me a room because she thought I was local. I have a nc id. I stayed there back in March and had a great day Nicole the front desk lady was wonderful. The two that were upfront the night that I checked in were absolutely horrible. She called the police at me for absolutely no reason I have a video and I will be calling corporate.

We had a reserved room that we paid for in advance for two children and two adults and when we arrived, all they had was a king bed. We arrived late, and we had no choice, but to all pile into one bed, which was in my opinion, not right clearly not very comfortable talking to.

The room was fine, the staff was wonderful.

The gym looked adequate and was being used.
Seems like a good conference location, large open area by their bar, eating area.
The 'breakfast' was a joke. Maybe it was just a bad time of the week, but they should just dump the idea of serving a breakfast and partner with some local place and recommend their guests grab a real breakfast.
La Quinta and AmericInn have better breakfast options.

Outdated and uncomfortable. $200 security deposit is a little crazy for a hotel that’s not updated or have a nice bed or comforter. Whatever you do don’t get a room near the laundry area. It was loud all night long. $130 a night for what looked like motel 6.

The room was nice. Check in was a little confusing. We were told there would be a $5 parking fee for the room. I'm in my 50's and I've never paid to park at a hotel that I'm already paying for the stay? I pre-paid for breakfast when I made the reservation. It was never mentioned during check in. I had to ask if they saw it on the reservation. They said yes but provided no more information. The next morning we go to breakfast and start to get our plate, and an employee asked for our coupons for breakfast. We had to stop getting our food and to go to the front desk to get the coupon. It would have been so much easier to have been provided the coupon at check in along with information on where breakfast would be served and the hours.

Upon arriving at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk. After waiting approx 10 minutes, I had to walk to the bar (which was not great, as I had my 6 year old with me) to ask the bartender where I might find the front desk staff. He advised that they were \"around\" and would probably be back soon. When the staff did arrive, they did not allow my 6 year old and I to stay in the room that we had paid for and confirmed payment for via email. This trip was very important to my daughter as it was a very special treat, and one we had been planning for quite a while. We purchased it during black Friday sales in order to afford it. My daughter had talked of nothing but this hotel stay for weeks. While the concierge was telling us we couldn't stay, she was incredibly rude and unapologetic despite the fact that my daughter was near tears. She let us know in an unbothered tone and facial expression that \"this happens all the time.\" Which begs the question, why hasn't Holiday Inn done anything to address this problem, which upon further inspection, does in fact happen so much, IT WAS COVERED ON THE LOCAL NEWS!!!!!!! The concierge dismissively told us that if we wanted our money back, we would need to sit through constumer service with hotels.com as this \"wasn't her problem\", and then aggressively and repeatedly yelled \"have a nice day\" as we were leaving.
As a Roanoker, I can honestly say I do not care to have a business in our area that specifically discriminates against locals.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Roanoke Airport for two nights. We didn’t request an ADA room, but that’s what we got. The primary issue is that the room is on the first floor directly across from housekeeping’s work room. The noise in that area is loud. Beginning early morning, we heard washers, dryers and the activities of the housekeeping staff. It’s wonderful that the housekeeping staff laughs and enjoys working together… that’s not the issue. The issue is that the hotel assigns guests to a room right across the hall. Secondary issues with the room, are 1) no hooks in the bathroom for towels, etc. 2) no full length mirror (room is huge… not sure why there wouldn’t be one) 3) the remote for the shade over the window didn’t work, but it doesn’t matter because it looks out to the restaurant. There would be no privacy if you have it up. We didn’t take the time to go over these issues while there because it was a short stay. Not sure that we would stay there again with so many options in the area.

I called when I arrived and was informed that the hotel no lo get provides shuttle service. I responded that I was told that afternoon that there was. The property was fine - a mid-level hotel like any other. But the service was very poor - the front desk was excruciatingly slow every time we interacted, with a continuous line of frustrated travelers. Never seemed to cause the staff to work harder or faster. The cleaning crew kept trying to enter our room despite the \"do not disturb\" sign on the door. Then they deactivated our cards midway through our stay. All in all, extremely mediocre service which means a lack of decent management.

the good and the bad....

Walls are thin and any noise from adjoining rooms carries through easily. That was the major downside. I could clearly hear the TV from the room next to us. We couldn't get a bottle of water from the cafe or the bar, and we were told that they were sold out. We didn't pay a lot and i guess it all came out about as expected. The bed was comfortable and the room spotlessly clean.

This was the perfect day for us traveling with a service dog. We noticed many others enjoying the facilities as well with their pets. Our only disappointment was that we planned on the restaurant and bar being opened for our stay. Which is why we actually booked here. It would’ve been nice to know that they decided to close the facilities for the week so that we could prepare and plan accordingly.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Roanoke Airport – Conference CTR was quite pleasant. The hotel's location, just a short drive from the airport, was a major plus. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze.

While the hotel's amenities were standard, they were sufficient for a short stay. The on-site restaurant offered decent food options, and the breakfast buffet was a good way to start the day.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Roanoke.

Upon arrival, we were assigned a room that was clearly not cleaned. The room was in disarray, suggesting it needed to be properly prepared for occupancy.

To make matters worse, when I returned to the front desk to address the issue, I was given a key to another already occupied room. This error caused unnecessary inconvenience and stress.

Furthermore, our room service request needed to have been handled more appropriately. Upon returning to our room for the second day, I discovered that only one bed had been made, and the bathroom had not been cleaned or restocked with fresh towels. In addition, all the towels were rolling here and there on the bathroom floor (which we did not do while we left the room).

After all these incidents, the front desk lady did not even apologize. I have always chosen the Holiday Inn while traveling because I enjoy staying there. But this experience was worse than I could have imagined. We felt unsafe for the whole time. Before putting someone in the work, the hotel management should train them so that customers do not feel unsafe and unwelcome. This stay was a waste of money and time.

The next day, at 3 PM I called to ask when I would get housekeeping because I needed towels and washcloths. Housekeeping never arrived, I was called back to ask if you would come when I stated no, I was told someone would bring me the towels and washcloths. I waited another hour, finally I went downstairs to get it myself. When I arrive back to the room, the key card didn’t work. It was just an overall bad experience.
