The hotel is in an excellent location just minutes from the Old Town. We couldn’t have received a warmer welcome, all staff extremely friendly and helpful, room was perfect.

We stayed in one of the apartments for a night and it was really cozy. It was Christmas so there was even a little Christmas tree in the living room.

We had a lovely stay in this apartment hotel. With 3 of us, the one bedroom suite with the living room sofa bed converted (and 1 bathroom) worked well for us. Beds were so comfortable, we were offered a pillow menu too, which was helpful.
Minor issue was that the AC unit in the bedroom was not working, and while the one in the living room did work, that did not help us in our room! Luckily the weather wasn't awfully hot, so we managed with window ventilation. We did also notice a soft spot in the hallway floor between rooms, it flexed a lot which pinched bare feet, so bring slippers.
We loved the breakfast options, coffee, the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The staff were wonderful, spoke great English and were very helpful. We would recommend and stay here again.

City Residence provides excellent value. We had a full apartment, with kitchen, living area and bedroom.

Staff at reception were extremely helpful and friendly.

The location is perfect, a five minute walk to the centre of the old city with a rich choice of grocery stores, cafes, bars and restaurants.

I was shocked upon checkin to find that they do not have a lift. However staff were helpful in carrying bags. But the stairs themselves were uneven and therefore difficult to navigate especially as the railings were covered in garland for Christmas. The room we had was a two bedroom apartment. It is very large with a huge main bathroom, kitchen and living room. The best feature was the sauna that accommodates three easily. As it was Christmas, the hotel had several parties booked. Even being on the top floor the noise from the crowd reached our apartment and lasted past midnight. The worst feature though were the beds. Very stiff and therefore did not make for easy sleeping. Checked out early as we just didn’t feel it made for a relaxing stay.

Very very uncomfortable mattress. Extremely noisy road throughout the night. Also had an incident were I didn’t appreciate being mildly admonished as the electricity tripped when I simply went to put on the bedside lamp. Maybe it is a language/culture issue but sorry, the dodgy electrics is not my fault or responsibility.

The staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly - they made a big difference between an average stay and a terrific stay. With separate large master bedroom, large lounge room, kitchen and large bathroom, the apartment (No 7) was very spacious, if anything, a bit too spacious (e.g. 20 metres between bed and WC, 6 metres between couch and TV), but this is not really a complaint - it is always better to be too spacious than insufficiently spacious. My colleague (Mr Klaus Nehyba) in Number 8 had the same number and types of rooms but with a shower recess and a sauna, but his area was half that of Number 7, and it seemed to be more comfortable for that. Amenities were mostly very good, showering from inside a bath tub is always undesirable for me, and the water pressure at 8:00am was too low to operate the shower, but it was fine in the evening. I showered in the evening and used a basin wash in the morning. The cafe bar and food were excellent.

Really amazing hotel and staff.

Wow - Was excited to stay here after seeing the pictures and reviews and was not dissapointed. Was in the city for a weekend break. Hotel check in was quick and we actually got our room very early as we arrived just before midday. Room was very good. Private suana, jacuzzi and heated floors. Rooms were huge. Apartment had everything we needed. Hotel staff were very helpful too. We had two amazing breakfasts. All in would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Kosice.

City Residence Apartment Hotel is the way to go

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff we were all so friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was a pleasant stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, and having my own in-room sauna that could have sat 3 people comfortably was a delight at the end of each day. If I ever travel back to Kosice, I know where I will be staying.

A decent place to stay for a few nights.

The unit was spacious and fairly clean. The lack of an elevator makes it tough to lug heavy luggage. Street parking was plentiful, but you must download an app. The location is close to old town and very convenient.

Amazing apartment. Just like a home, so much better than a hotel. More relaxing. Breakfast was a choice of 20 options and delivered to our room's kitchen table. There was a kitchen to cook if so desired and even an in room sauna. Air conditioned and top level room had swing out dormer windows to allow cool air in. Welcome fruit and treats and a bottle a champagne. All one could wish for. SO enjoyable!

Exceptional stay. Great property, optimal cost/benefit ratio. But what is really worth mentioning with the highest praise is the staff's kindeness and availability--in particular simply great receptionist Dominika! Just figure that my flight from Prague (whose arrival's already inconvenient schedule was supposed to be at 11:45pm) got furtherly delayed, and we got in at...2am. Well, no problem for this amazing reception: Everybody waited, including driver sent to pick me up at the airport, and Dominika herself (whose shift is generally--I later learned--at 10pm!). Simply one of the best hospitality experience ever.

BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE TO DATE!

Honestly the best Hotel experience to-date. Everything, down to every detail, was flawless. I do not know where to begin. This is more close to a 6☆ accommodation as the hotel has a complete concierge service. Parking, breakfast, massage services, requests....etc everything is tailored and customized to whatever you desire. In addition, the staff clearly enjoy what they do and naturally they are so happy to accommodate any request that it just makes you feel welcomed and excited to stay there. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone...there is certainly nothing like it anywhere else!

Probably the best stay in Kosice!

This would rank amongst the best aparthotels that I have stayed in and is probably the best place to stay in Kosice. Incredible amenities for the price. The 2-bed deluxe apartment would be highly recommended. Very spacious and includes amenities such as a private sauna, bathtub with power jets. etc. The rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is charged additionally but is a great value. The front desk staff are very helpful and it is evident that they really love what they are doing. Overall, this beats any of the brandname hotels in town hands down. Looking forward to staying here again!

Modern apartment near old town

We stayed in apartment 4. It was spacious, clean and very modern. The jacuzzi and sauna bath were fantastic with built in stereo - very relaxing! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We found the bed too hard but that might be a personal preference. Breakfast was a good selection but was like warm most of the time. Overall a good apartment break a 5 minutes walk to the lovely old town.

All of the people working at the reception desk spoke English very well. They were also very helpful in providing suggestions around town as well as helping me find a way to my next destination. The room was very clean, spacious, and included a free check-in gift that included a bottle of Slovakian wine. They had several breakfast options that were included in the price of the room, and it was a very large meal! If I am ever in Kosice again, I will definitely stay here!

Would definitely return and recommend. The room and bathroom were very spacious. Bed was comfortable. Room had plates, cups and silverware. We selected breakfast from menu each day and staff brought it promptly to our room at our chosen time. Received complimentary bottle of wine and they stocked our room with plenty of fruit to snack on and bottle water to drink. Hotel staff were very helpful and assisted us with our many questions. Staff spoke English very well and made us feel welcome. Parking for hotel was is a gated lot next to building.

We had a really excellent stay here, which definitely surpassed our expectations. Our "room" was more like a second house in size, excellent specification, exceptionally clean, very well soundproofed too.

We had breakfast in our room each morning and this was delivered like silver service, really tasty and very filling.

The location is good, just outside the centre but handy for bus routes to get around. Staff were around 24/7 (handy for our late check in) and were helpful in advising on what to do, and also arranged airport transfers.

Great Apartment Hotel, Impeccable Service

Location is steps from the main street in Kosice, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Service was first class, including breakfast service in the room as an option that we took up. The apartment we had was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and huge! 2 Double bedrooms, lounge are, kitchen and oversized bathroom. Altogether a great stay at an establishment that exceeded my expectations and that I will definitely use again when I return. Added bonus that was much appreciated on late arrival was the welcome drinks, fruit and snacks that we were given as part of the package.

Modern urban luxury in the heart of Kosice

Just a couple of blocks off the main town artery, so very quiet. Incredibly spacious and well-appointed rooms...much more like an apartment than a hotel room. Staff is helpful and friendly. Parking is in a gated lot across the street from the hotel, so just pull up to the front door, grab one of the staff, and they'll get the cardkey so you can drive in. They don't keep USA outlet converters, although the staff searched elsewhere for one so I could recharge for the next day. An unexpectedly perfect find.

Very close to centrum, large 1 bedroom for my daughters and I. No elevator, but very clean, quiet, with huge breakfasts delivered to the room. I wished I had taken advantage of the available massages. Secure free parking available. The staff did three loads of laundry for 15 Euros, a welcome treat for those traveling in Vienna, etc. They tried to book us for a balloon ride (too windy), and ran to the train station to get us tickets and reservations. The bar/café looked cute, but we didn't have the time to enjoy it. Four days and I hope to come back and stay again soon. And Kosice is a wonderful city, and the staff had good dining recommendations. Many thanks.

Stayed here on a short break with partner and 2 year old son. Absolutely ideal, our apartment had 5 rooms! Bedroom living room changing room kitchen and bathroom! Breakfast huge and hearty and brought to your room. Comfy beds, microwave, hot plate and kettle. Staff polite and spoke English. Only drawback no lifts. Overall great!

I spent only one night here. Pity, it was worth several. The "room" was actually a 4 room apartment. Clean and modern. Relatively close to the train station and the main pedestrian area. Breakfast was a choice of several entries delivered to the room. Lots of good food to start the day.

Located a short walk from the central district, convenient enough. Good choice for longer stays or traveling with newborn as the multiple rooms give some space. Ask for a room away from the main road otherwise it's a bit noisy. Breakfast was made from a selection of set menus the day before; not ala carte or buffet, hearty and generous qty though. Staff is kind and helpful for this first time visitor. Older building, not handicap friendly.

LARGE suite and good location, off a side street

My best friend and I spent one night there on March 7th, 2013. We had booked a suite and it was VERY LARGE and comfortable! Large bathroom, with corner tub, huge living room, kitchenette and large bedroom, with great mattress! Great corner bedroom with nice views.

Breakfast is ordered the night before and brought to your room at a time you specify. Very tasty and filling! Free mini-bar, fruit, etc.

Good location with easy walk to anywhere you need to go. Kosice is a great place to visit!

Staff was helpful and friendly.

ONLY downside is that at 10 PM, the front desk clerk leaves and you are given a cell phone to call if needed. ....luckily, we did not need anything!!!

The room was very big and very comfortable. Large bed. Good quality mattress. Sofa bed for 2 people in lounge area. Busy road outside so bit noisy in the mornings but air con meant that the windows could be kept shut. Fantastic breakfast brought up to our room at whatever time we requested. Could chose different option every day and there was a very big selection. I would recommend it

Really enjoyed our stay in Kosice and City Residence. Had a large appartment with three rooms and plenty of space. Nice girls in the reseption all the time. Large breakfast served in our appartment. High standard in furnitures. Small kitchen with cooking facilities, and the bathroom was great. And Kosice is a really nice city to walk, look, eat and drink in different good price restaurants.

When in Kosice......

My recent stay at the Hotel Residence was one not to be forgotten. The parking alone was a plus. You can park across the street and have an electronic key to activate the gate system. Essentially you get a reserved parking space. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. Each morning I would get a call telling me that my custom breakfast was ready at my table in the courtyard. What a pleasure!

Great stay in Kosice

We stayed in the smallest unit but thought it was very spacious, much bigger than expected. It felt more like staying at my own apartment rather than in a hotel. Clean room, nice bathrobes, wine and snacks waiting when we arrived. Breakfast is overly generous - ham and 4 fried eggs, plus bread and fruit? We loved our stay here and will definitely come back the next time we are in town.

I will always come back

I stayed for a couple of days needing a quiet place to study for my upcoming exams. It fulfilled all my needs until they informed me that my room was under construction and i was to be moved. Everything could be fine if they would give me a real info of when & where. There was just this cleaning woman trying to kick me out while i was having my lunch. But i got upgraded to an even bigger, nicely decorated apartment with 2 TVs, air-conditioning and nice writing table for free... I really liked the decoration, made you feel like you were home.
So, stay away from maids :)

This was my second visit to the City Residence. It is exterely good value for accomodation so close to the city centre. Most of the accomodation consists of appartments with bedroom and bathroom, kitchen,sitting room. A/c in lounge was very welcome. T.V in both bedroom and sitting room and free wi-fi. There is a great choice of breakfasts which are delivered to your door.
