We had an amazing experience at Nomade. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. The food served at their restaurants are all delicious, the drinks are well made. The parh to your room is surrounded by nature, and all very private. The daily yoga is so peaceful, and our favorite experience was definitely the Temazcal ritual! We highly recommend this hotel!

I was Beyond disappointed. Rooms smelled like a tiki torch fuel. You cant flush toilet paper and are asked to leave it in the trash in the room for 24 hrs. the beach was dirty and unclean. I asked for a refund and they didn't honor it or give me credit to one of their alternate properties Very poorly managed

Raccoons had access to your room from the rooftop since it was made out of tree palms leaves, no one cleaned room from previous stay as the sheets were dirty and dead bugs were within the linen. No refreshing of towels while staying there for 5 days. At night the raccoons were on the rooftop and broke a whole in the palm leaves.

It's one of the expenciests hotel in the Tulum, but they will charge you for copal sticks that really costs 50 pesos and mosquito spray....

We stayed at Nomade for 5 days and really loved our stay. It is blends the jungle essence of Tulum with amazing beachside views. There are so many fun activities you can sign up for. Would recommend signing up when you get there as they can fill up quickly. The yoga each morning was fabulous and good for all ranges of experiences. We signed up for their ice bath experience and that was a game changer. Cannot recommend this enough. The facilitator was so knowledgeable and kind and helped me and my gf through it as first timers. I loved the copal they had burning throughout the property (prevalent throughout Tulum) but my gf thought it was a little overwhelming at some points. Honestly, this was a great stay and i would recommend to anyone who wants an elevated, organic/natural type experience in Tulum.

This was our second visit to Nomade, and once again we loved it. We appreciate the slower pace, the beautiful beach area, and most of all the incredibly friendly staff. Everyone was accommodating and attentive throughout our stay. We had prepaid for a room upgrade, and while we never used the pool, the gentle sound of the water outside our room in the evenings was very calming. We were also there during Day of the Dead (Halloween for us Americans), and the celebration—with its music, food, and overall atmosphere—was fantastic. I highly recommend visiting Nomade during this time.

It’s not worth 1k per night. Decor is nice but nothing is happening. The morning activities are always booked so you can never join a pilates class. There was no events except once on a thursday DJ. A lot of families with young kids. Breakfast is included but water is not you always need to pay for water, there is no tap water which doesn’t make sense. Room is nice but a lot of mosquitoes and the spray that they sell is not working.

This was our second time staying here, and we would absolutely return again. From the moment we arrived, it felt like coming home. It’s the perfect place to recharge.

We were welcomed with a delicious, health-conscious drink that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The front-desk staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind.

The rooms are beautiful—rustic yet refined—with plunge pools, thoughtful décor, and all the amenities you could need, from blow dryers and robes to additional curated items available for purchase.

With three restaurants on site, the dining experience is a highlight. There’s Japanese, Mediterranean, and an open-air beachfront restaurant, La Popular Nômade Temple, which offers fresh fish from the Caribbean Sea and a dining experience rooted in simplicity and connection to nature. Everything we ordered was not only beautifully plated but delicious. The servers were attentive, helpful, and incredibly warm—many even remembered us by name.

The beach was gorgeous, as always, and we were thrilled to find no sargasso seaweed during our visit.

The spa was incredible, offering a range of traditional Mexican treatments focused on deep relaxation and healing. The wellness program is also robust, with complimentary yoga, breathwork, outdoor ceremonies, and unique experiences available for purchase. Our only suggestion would be to increase capacity—classes fill up quickly, especially during busy weeks.

Beautiful hotel. Very expensive food and drink. Only one option for the ‘free’ breakfast. Was hit with extortionate mini-bar charges for items that looked like they were included in the room (one spray of the bed mist cost almost 30 USD). On the first night there was a heavy rainstorm, and we had water leaking through the light switches. Maintenance came to have a look, took some pictures, said he would come back, but didn’t. Staff were friendly and it’s a nice place to spend a few days, but wouldn’t rush back given the prices and lack of transparency with the free/paid room amenities

We were there when the sargassum was terrible so the beach experience and odor were unpleasant. Not controllable by the resort but I wish there was better notice of this for planning. We found the spa to be amazing, the rooms were lovely, food was good and proximity to cenotes was good. At night it’s a bit of a dark walk to get to the restaurant area. Better lighting would be good. We were able to take a car and find a beach that gave us our salt water fix.

This place is infested with bugs , room had roaches and many tiny bugs all around. Mosquito are the primary residents of this hotel , our kid woke up with swollen eyes the next day of check. This happened when we used the bug spray provided in the room and they charge USD 24 for that spray :) . Overall staying here is a heath hazard we had to check out early and move to Cancun for rest of the trip .

This property was SOOOO beautiful & very zen. The only issues I had were more related to customer service. If you had any issues, they were not willing to accommodate at all. It was very much a \"you get what you get & you don't throw a fit\" attitude from the staff. This includes restaurants & front desk. Next to no light when getting ready in the Jungle rooms. Very dark. Despite all this - I would still stay here again. Very beautiful place

I paid too much and wasn’t able to modify my trip I had issues in the airport I didn’t arrive on time to my check in until the next day. So I was only able to stay one night check out the next morning and I literally think that was so unfair because I came out here to enjoy my daughters birthday and paid so much so that we can only stay for one night I wasn’t able to get an additional day or get a refund. I also did not feel safe at all staying in this place the people there are weird and creeps.

It’s a great property, the design of the cabins is well done, and the vibe is cool. My cabin didn’t have coffee provided (or TV) or a desk, and the sink and toilet were outside which is tough for me as I got bitten by mosquitoes almost every time I stepped outside. It’s jungle living which has its pros and cons. Wouldn’t take much to make this a true luxury resort.

You wake up every morning in a lush jungle atmosphere and the beach is just steps away. This hotel is focused on wellness, relaxation, and a holistic lifestyle. There is daily yoga, meditation, breath work, and fire ceremonies included with your stay. Every Thursday they have live music. The food was delicious and healthy, with impeccable service.

If you’d prefer to just relax with cold drinks on a beach with a gorgeous view, they have that, too. Can’t wait to come back!

An Unforgettable Stay — Already Planning Our Return

We had such an amazing time at this resort — it honestly checked all the boxes for us. Mornings were something to look forward to, thanks to the breakfast spread. It was not only delicious and fresh but also super healthy and beautifully presented. Tons of variety too — whether you’re into light bites or a full meal, it was all there.

The grounds are just stunning. Lush, green, and full of natural beauty, everything looked like it came straight out of a magazine. You could tell they really care about upkeep — everything was spotless without feeling overly manicured.

The staff made us feel so welcome. Everywhere we went, people were kind, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Several even remembered our names, which honestly blew us away — it added such a warm, personal touch.

As for the restaurants, all three on-site were great — each one had something different to offer and the settings were absolutely gorgeous, in that natural, unforced kind of way. The beach restaurant was our favorite: the view, the breeze, the food — it was everything we hoped for.

One of the biggest surprises was the variety of workshops and classes available. We tried yoga, breathwork, an ice bath, and even the temazcal — and every single one was led by someone who clearly knew what they were doing. Some of it was out of our comfort zone, but the instructors really guided us through. Totally worth it.

This property was beautiful and authentic, perfect Tulum vibes. The waitstaff were amazing and some were even Mayan which was incredible to chat with them about. The front desk staff was ok- they were a bit on their high horse at times and tried to overcharge for a few things we did not use in the room ( read your bill throughly!!). But the waitstaff and chefs I can’t compliment enough ! Excellent with food allergies, requests and got everything right every time. Amazing people.

we really enjoyed our stay at nomade. the beach was wonderful and restaurants on-site were stellar. the beach was exquisite and it was easy to get a good spot, at least in the morning. the daily complementary breakfast at macondo was excellent and a nice touch. kuu was amazing and the best meal we had while in tulum.

the only activity we did was yoga, which was great, but they offer a lot.

it was located close to other restaurants we went to such as arca and wild.

the room itself (jungle) was nice and cleaned daily. it was plenty of space for two.

the only thing was at night the place turned into a strange club-like atmosphere. one night, there was a line to get back into the hotel with people just trying to go dance at macondo. it was odd for us to try to push through this group to explain we were guests and staying there, and they’d let us in immediately, but it was still strange (they could’ve had a separate line or area for hotel guests to get through quickly, as a suggestion). it also went until around 2am and was audible from our room, but at a level that we still could sleep soundly (as we generally did).

also, as a side note, we went to gran cenote and it was quite expensive to get there ($110 USD), as it was somewhat far, but it was a beautiful and a sweet experience.

last, all of the staff were great, although the front desk wasn’t always the most helpful.

altogether we really liked this hotel!

I have been to Tulum over 20 times, I definitely enjoyed other hotels a-lot more.

-Ricardo the conceirge was really nice and Helpful
-mideternean restaurant waiter was rude and asked for extra tips at the end after literally we asked him for the check 3 times. We always tipped every where we went but this specific waiter was not professional
-Front desk was nice except the last day when we were checking out the bell man didn't come to get our luggage per our instruction, we had to carry our luggages all the way to the front and Receptionist didn't bother neither apologized.

-the room is wood floor and had screws and nails coming off the floor at the Aire suite.

I won’t be back again. I would rather stay at Papaya playa or Be Tulum.

We loved our stay at Nômade ! The property is a magical jungle getaway. programming offered is fabulous. Good service and beach set up is fantastic relaxing and luxurious but not pretentious.
One pro tip is make sure to research the type of room that best suits your needs as there are any varied options. We had a fabulous bungalow room nestled in a jungle setting. But the glamping tent room with outdoor bathroom is an adventure and might not be for everyone. Lots of other room types are available. I loved the flexibility

The people in service roles at the restaurants and beach are great. Beach situation is great. The administrative staff is not, they’re unresponsive and don’t follow through. It’s overpriced for what it is now and you do not get the hospitality or concierge/service you would at a Belmond, Four Seasons, etc. they offer zero help. We were charged $150 for using the room’s sunscreen supply on the way out…

They figured out the playbook on nickle & diming, and not leaving guests wanting to take a return stay.

Hotel Nomade is an absolute dream! The beachfront is one of the most stunning I’ve ever seen (and I grew up on the Florida coast). The architecture is gorgeous, blending seamlessly with nature, and the atmosphere feels like the ultimate adult summer camp—pure relaxation and adventure.

The staff was incredibly kind, and the breakfast (included via Hotels.com) was one of the best ever. We were also thrilled to receive an amazing upgrade. The amenities are top-notch—bikes included, a beautiful pool, and daily yoga, Pilates, and breathwork classes. Plus, easy access to fantastic restaurants made exploring effortless.

If I had one small note, our room (#14) could use a slight refresh—some finishes felt a bit worn, the mirror in the bath was FAR too low and extra seating would be nice. But honestly, this was a minor detail in an otherwise perfect stay.

We can’t wait to return—again and again!

Beautiful, but not what it was

This is my 5th or 6th stay at the Nomade, we have been coming here over the years since 2017, and in that time really seen the hotel evolve.
It's such a stunning location, set in tranquil jungle, perfectly landscaped, with the most beautiful patch of beach. But something is missing. All the amazing touches that used to make each stay magical have been removed.... Most notably, the incredible breakfast that used to be included. I wouldn't mind this too much, I'd be happy to pay.... But the new menu is very limited and depressing compared to their old menu. We only ate here once all week.
The team who work on guest relations, especially Jose and Clementine, were brilliant. They truly encompass the Nomade vibe that seems missing elsewhere. Wonderful spirits who we enjoyed speaking with. The range of activities are also great. But Tulum is becoming very expensive, and the little extra touches that used to set it so far ahead have now gone. We will return, but will always miss Nomade of 2019.

Best hotel in tulum.

Nomade is my favorite and only place I stay in Tulum, I have tried multiple other hotels at zona hotelera. Nothing compares to Nomade, the energy, the staff reallly makes you feel like you are family. Everyone knows you by your name. Makes you feel welcome, lots of meaningful activities, healing sessions, yoga. Amazing food, restaurants with great waiters and hospitality 1000%!
That makes Nomade really is the staff, I hope the owners gives them the pay and appreciation they deserve !
