The room was a little more compact than what the online photos depicted, however it was okay for the three of us. The bathroom was too small though. The elevators were extremely slow. The buffet was nice, as well as the pool and other outdoor activities provided. The staff was friendly and the hotel was well kept. It was fairly priced. It was also a few minutes walk from the beach, shopoing and some excellent food trucks! I would recommend it to other travelers.

Pros: Hotel was clean, and had lots of amenities. The breakfast had good choices and the staff were friendly and great to deal with.

Cons: The rooms were really small and not much room to move around in. The hotel was at the end of the waikiki area and that side was a little shady walking back to the hotel at night.

Overall, it is a good hotel. But the room was EXTREMELY TINY. CLAUSTROPHOBIC TINY for a family of four, who reserved two beds. It was very difficult to have space for our luggage and comfortably walk around, eat food, ect. It is not what i expected from the pictures. It was a-lot smaller than pictured. The bathroom as well.

The location is quite nice with walking distance to the Waikiki beach and prime shopping locations. A small food truck park was 2 mins walk from the hotel giving a nice sampler of the variety of local cuisines. The hotel's breakfast spread was pretty decent for a buffet. The staff was quite nice and helpful.

One point to nitpick would be that they need all elevators working during peak rush hours which wasn't the case with us leading to long wait time. They should perhaps replace them with faster ones.

Hotel is outdated. Room felt muggy and bed felt wet. Elevators are slow and unpredictable. Parking is terrible. Not enough spaces for all guests. One night we came back around 10pm. No open spots so we had to drive 4 blocks to park at another garage. Because of the stress of not finding a spot, the other nights we were out we had to make sure to be back at least by 7pm to guarantee a spot. Plus side, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Besides that overall experience is a 3 out of 10.

Location, breakfast and staff was great. The air conditioning was fairly noisy and one elevator seemed to go down frequently which meant 2 elevators for about 20 floors worth of people. If you rent an oversized van for a large family it will not fit in parking garage and so the open parking is a bit of a hike and it’s a little pricey.

One front desk woman was very rude when we checked out. She wanted to charge parking for the whole week. We only parked in the hotel parking for 3 days. we tried to explain to her but she started raising her voice with attitude. If it's your first time be very careful with parking charges.

First arrived and a/c didnt work, they replaced it and the newer one we couldn't control it. Next morning, we had no hot water and had to change rooms. Then every day 1 of the elevators would be out of service and we would have to wait 30 minutes just to get an elevator. Most of the ice machines didnt work either. Seems like this hotel runs on about 50% of their stuff being broken or inoperable. They charged me an additional $380 and called it a resort fee but there are no amenities that would make it a resort. The security staff were amazing and super helpful though. DEFINITELY WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN and I Do Not Recommend using this hotel.

I don’t want to say all bad things but it’s gonna be an honest review… The hotel has like 750+ rooms but only 150ish parking spots (50 a night to park) when you can’t find a spot they send you half of a mile walk away to pay another 50, no discount for the inconvenience. The rooms are really small like just enough room to get into the bed. I also saw an orange needle cap under the microwave, so maybe not the cleanest room you will get but it didn’t look dirty besides that. They do have a hot breakfast and it’s within walking distance of the beach and Friday fireworks.

Our room wasn’t cleaned daily and they accused us of putting our do not disturb sign on. We didn’t. We didn’t have enough towels so we had to call every day for some because they didn’t stock us up. Windows were dirty and couldn’t really take good pictures of the view. Was told they have 400 guests at check in as if we weren’t that important. Rooms are small and I banged my leg on a drawer at night. Not much of a walk way. Can’t say I’d stay there again. Thankfully I wasn’t at the hotel much.

checked in and was informed of $35 RESORT fee. after 16 hrs of travel our party of 6 expected to relax in the jacuzzi hot tub. one foot in an it was more like a COLD PLUNGE pool.was told part was ordered but no clue when it would be repaired.hallway outside our elevator had \"crumbs\" or something the whole stay..ice machines on some floors out of order..relaxing by pool and needing restroom it as well was \"out of order\"..exchanging towels on housekeeping floor was told needed towels werent available yet but would be delivered.never received. \"something\" on showered curtain blood stain or makeup? staff didnt know...marked on comforter as if to notify housekeeping if change was needednot sure what that was about,...POSITIVE...breakfast was good and staff did good of keeping food items stocked.RESORT FEE ???? not sure if i would call this a resort and not sure what the RESORT fee was for but needless to say..we disputed the RESORT fee and ir was removed...dont think this would be my choice agian as it WASNT the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS i have stayed in before ;-(

The location is very good, think beginning of the strip of shopping. Breakfast was good and hot had the regulars and local fare as well. Breakfast is very busy so be prepared for that. Rooms are small but have everything you need including a ceiling fan but the A/C worked great. Circle drive is great for Uber pickups. If you have your own car the parking garage is very tight. The hotel is a great value hotel.

The property was beautiful. Staff was friendly. Please use Rommel for your excursion needs. He was fabulous! The elevators were super slow, luckily we were never in a rush. There was an emergent situation that occurred and there was no defibrillator available to assist in providing emergency care or freight elevator to transport the person in critical condition. It is imperative that this life saving device be installed in your facility to prevent a situation such as this from ever happening again. Although basic CPR was utilized it was not enough. Thankfully the friendly staff was willing to do whatever it took to lend a helping hand. I’d like to encourage you to speak to whomever you need to to implement the installation of the defibrillator on site please.

This hotel was great, the staff were all so kind. The only complaints I have are the water temperature for the showers would go from hot to cold to hot randomly. Also the elevators take FOREVER especially during the day when housekeeping needed to use them to clean rooms. House keeping would make our bed and take the trash daily, I never had anything missing and they were so nice!

It’s better to uber or taxi then rent a car and use the parking garage. It’s WAY cheaper to uber. Between the parking garage fee and renting a car price, trust me.

Lastly there are a lot of homeless in this town unfortunately but none of them were physical at all, they just mind their business or do ask for money or food then leave you alone. It was sad to see but expected unfortunately. I did give some of my leftover food from meals to them.

One strip over is all of the shops and there are SO MANY. Breakfast buffet everyday was great.

We went on a family vacation and really enjoyed the stay. You can't beat a free breakfast, especially in Hawaii, which was consistent and satisfying. The rooms were clean and maintained daily and the dove bath products were great for the accommodations. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and gave great recommendations. It's close to tons of walking options and parking was about $52 a day with unlimited in and out. The parking spots are pretty tight, so be prepared to accommodate. The amenities are pretty good and it can get pretty windy on the fifth floor. We will be staying here again. Thank you staff.

Not a bad hotel, but the parking is an absolute nightmare. $50 a night if you get a spot. If your not back at the hotel by 7pm, you probably won't get a spot in the garage and have to park at the garage 3 blocks away.

Last minute travel plans forced me to look for new accommodations. The staff was friendly from concierge to front desk to housekeeping...and dining staff. Breakfast is included, which has a great variety of breakfast items. 10min walk to the beachfront, right around the corner from luxury row and sooo many shops etc... Pool area on 5th floor 9s decent as well. I aas just missing an outdoor area- such as a private balcony... but 38th floor. I was okay without it. Food trucks nearby along with others...clean entry..multiple elevators.. nice and modern. I'd stay again.

Loved it! The complimentary breakfast was great as there are many options to choose from. Location is great because it’s so close to everything but in a bit quieter area. ABC stores are a block away and bus stop too. Hotel room was very clean and had housekeeping every day. All staff are extremely kind and helpful. Only thing I would say, as most people say as well, is that the elevators are a bit slow but it is expected as the hotel is HUGE with 44 floors and everyone trying to use the elevators at the same time so that’s expected. Other than that, loved it and would definitely stay here again! This stay definitely made my trip to Hawaii great! I stayed on the 29th floor and had a partial ocean view room which was an amazing view! Got to see the amazing skyline, mountains, freeway and the blue ocean waters!

The staff were very pleasant and helped out when we needed a later checkout. The breakfast was good although it was always very busy due to so many guest in such a small area. An elevator was down while we were there making elevator wait times very long and almost impossible. We ended up talking the stairs about ninety five percent of the time due to this. The gym was very small and the bare minimum as well as half of the equipment being down. The hot tub didn’t work either. The rooms were very small only room for the bed basically.

I had an excellent stay at this Holiday Inn Express . The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay. They had a free breakfast in the morning. I liked the open air front desk area.Parking was never an issue and I liked you could wash your own clothes if you needed to.

The room and bathroom needs deep and detail cleaning. Plenty stain on the wall especially near bathroom.
Shower head needs to be update, it’s old and very low it is hard for tall adult to stand and wash hair on the shower. Carpet feels sticky. This hotel is very high traffic, which is good for business but need to do detail clean to bring up the quality of the facility. The staffs is friendly.

Hotel itself is okay the only thing I did not like was the elevators, They are sooo slow you have to wait about 10 minutes every time you want to use the elevators to go up or down. Usually by the time the elevators get to you they are already full with people so you have to keep waiting for another one. I visited other hotels where friends were staying at and they had more floors than ours did and their elevators were fast and easy to access so not sure why our hotel was so slow. The $50 dollar parking fee per night was also a no for me specially because parking is very limited there. We ran out of toilet paper and even tho the cleaning crew would go in to clean the room they did not replace the toilet paper I had to go and ask for some. Other than that the room was fine it had a king bed and we had free breakfast every morning so that was a plus.

Throughout my stay in holidayinn, I room were cleaned everyday and breakfast was really good. Everyday they have different menu on breakfast and last but not the least staff were really friendly and helpful.

Great option for the price! 15-20min walk to the beach, kind and courteous staff, very clean and well maintained room and the daily breakfast included in the stay saved us money. Parking is first come first serve so not guaranteed every night. The front desk was very helpful with providing us alternative options during check-in but note that that alternative options are located a few blocks away.

For the price it is what you'd expect. The spa was not hot. Other guests said it was broken. The pool is smaller than I'm used to. Breakfast was very good with variety each day. Elevators were an issue for floors 1-24. Only two worked and cleaning staff used them too- we rode with a worker hauling out garbage one day. Lines would form for elevators after breakfast. The parking exit gate was temperamental. The room was small but clean.

There is not hot tub; just COLD JACUZZI I was really disapointed this is my first time in Hawaii and their elevator was ALSO broken; we had to wait over 10 minutes to go up or down. The people giving information on the activities all give you different prices for the same activity; you need to make sure all prices are accurate. Some of the staff don't even answer a simple hi \"aloha\". They give you the same breakfast evey day no variety. It was boring.
