The breakfast was great! It got pretty busy on some days, but they kept working to keep it stocked. They even had people to take your trays after you were done! Front desk people were nice and accommodating too. They went above and beyond to try to get our room next to my kids room. Elevator was always busy, but that's too be expected with a lot of people staying there.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days, and unfortunately, this will be our first and last stay. From the moment we arrived, we had a very negative experience with a front desk employee named Lindsay. Her behavior toward us felt disrespectful and, at times, discriminatory. We were traveling with an oversized van, and the hotel parking garage has a low clearance, so our vehicle could not enter. When we explained this, she simply told us to “change the car,” which is unrealistic when you’ve already rented a vehicle. The next day, we spoke with a manager at the front desk who acknowledged that the situation had not been handled properly. She explained that cars that do not meet parking requirements should be addressed accordingly, and some vehicles were moved that day. However, later that evening, we encountered Lindsay again, and the issue continued. She refused to assist, was very dismissive, and even waved her hand in our face saying she didn’t want to see or talk to us. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a customer service representative. To make matters worse, another guest approached to ask what had happened, and Lindsay openly shared details of our situation without any regard for our privacy. We reported everything to the hotel’s headquarters and were told a report would be filed, but we never received any follow-up. Aside from this, the overall experience did not meet expectations. Room were fine just a bit crowded. The air conditioning had some dust but they were happy to clean it. They are nice with breakfast and we got a surprise if you come to the hotel for a special occasion. It is centralized to waikiki, so you can walk around the area. The staff were the biggest highlight. They welcome you and try their best to help you out. They always have theta cheerful smile and will always have an answer to your questions. Overall, It is a good hotel if you are willing to save up money and if you bring your car, you options to either choose the hotel parking but you can also do outside parking.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel room had some dust, and although housekeeping cleaned every day, the floor was never properly cleaned. The dust and even some cereal that were there from the beginning remained until the end of our stay.

There was no hand wash provided, so we had to request it. Also, every time the neighboring room used their bathroom, we could hear noises coming from our toilet. The staff attempted to fix it once, but the issue continued.

The room was smaller than expected. There were three of us, and it was so tight that we would bump into each other when moving around, so we had to take turns.

The best part was definitely the breakfast buffet. The yogurt, sausages, fruit, oatmeal, and coffee were all great.

The swimming pool was extremely cold, so we couldn’t really use it. It was surprising how cold the pool was despite the hot weather—just something to keep in mind.

The hotel is clean, there is a hot breakfast every morning and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are slightly smaller so if you are looking to just spend your time in Hawaii in the hotel room this place isn’t for you. If you’re on a budget and plan on spending more time outdoors exploring Hawaii and just need a place to rest then this space is perfect! Breakfast is nothing special but includes lots of options and it’s included which is a huge money saver when in Hawaii so you can spend more on excursions and a nice dinner after a day of adventure. Close to the beach, close to food trucks, close to shops. Parking will cost you but from what we saw, it was the cheapest option for parking and your vehicle is safe in the garage. I did the pay per day option and made a couple laps around the area before I pulled a ticket in case there was a free space nearby that was available. Just pay attention to the parking signs if you go that route. The pool is small and can get crowded, the water was very cold for both the pool and jet tub when we were there but it didn’t stop my kiddo from swimming. There is a mini golf course near the pool deck and a ping pong table as well as a game room which we didn’t use but looked like a nice little free family fun. All in all, don’t let the other reviews ruin this cute little option.

We always choose Holiday Inn Express any chance we get, we loved the complementary breakfast! The hot tub sadly was not working, so it was just a 2nd heatless pool. But going to the beach was good enough for us, the location is great for what our trip was for and the property looks nice and its clean. The staff is amazing, will book again when I return to Hawaii

Online pictures are deceiving. Very small room. Common area by the elevator was not vacuumed once the entire stay. Hottub was cold. Pingpong rackets broken. Shower wasnt properly cleaned with visible hair. At check in they gave us a room with people already in there. ( we checked in at 1130pm)
Elevators took forever and most of the time one was down. ( they have 6)

They did eventually accommodate us. Breakfast was decent.
Overall 3.5 hôtel at the most.

The staff are very helpful, when I needed my seats changed they were changed promptly same day. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, staff stated that they were waiting on parts. But the pool was clean, the breakfast was good with a variety of options, the weather was nice we enjoyed our state.

Traveled with family. We enjoyed our stay except for the storm. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Staff were friendly and professional esp the person that check us in. She was nice and helpful. The room was clean but a bit tiny for 4 people. Good selection of food for breakfast. Gym was clean. We didn't get to use the pool, not heated. Overall, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The elevators are always packed, the elevator bank lobby on the ground floor is congested during peak hours, especially breakfast where the entrance is in the same area as the elevators. The hot tub was BROKEN! The carpet on the floor I stayed on was never once vacuumed in 5 days. Resort fees should be waived

Property looks good. My room however was not cleaned well, bathroom amd the side table in the room were always dirty, no change of sheets- they would just lay it again but no change of sheets. Place where to pick breakfast is way too small as so many people would come at once- seating area was big though. Also breakfast time should be extended say like from 6.30- 10.30am since some of us when on vacation would prefer a late breakfast jist to sleep in and rest..hope this is considered. Loved the pool and the area, always clean.

The gym has many cardio machines but not weight machines. There are dumbles, however which was fine for me. The gym air conditioner was also set to 76 to 78f which was not comfortable. Pool is small but clean. Breakfast is average nothing fancy, eggs, pancakes, sausages, cereal, and yogurt
Overal it was well worth the money i paid (i got discount but even the original price was fair)

The entry door handle/lock needs to be fixed or replaced. The card worked fine but the lever did not engage the door to be released.
The breakfast did not even come close to meeting the Holiday Inn standards. The offerings were paired down and very limited. One of the biggest reasons we chose to stay with you was the expected breakfast. Cinnamon rolls were absent again (happened the last time we stayed). I asked the staff and was told “I’m sorry, we don’t have them today.” Totally disappointed.
The previous stay had us take the elevator to the floor above the room, then walk down the stairs to the floor below. The loud elevator kept us awake all night, not to mention the loud doors slamming, and other guests talking both through the walls and outside their doors. Horrible room location.
My suggestions would be to avoid sliding doors for the bathroom (privacy in a small room - you can do better), never put a glass door to a bathroom (lights totally flooded the dark room at night), keep pedestrians from cutting through the lobby (I’m sure it was documented of the cussing out of a security person, along with the terrible language, that occurred in the lobby while we checked in, and correct the actions of the breakfast management.

The rooms were very tiny, not much space to even move around. The water in the shower ran mostly cold, not much hot water. The breakfast was insanely crowded, free for all type of buffet. Most the food was cold or at best room temp. There is not enough parking for the amount of guests that stay, so it’s a Russian roulette of who gets the spots first, at $50 a night! After that they tell you to just go park on the street but nothing is close or ever available. Someone threw up near the 3rd floor elevator in the parking lot and it sat there for the whole week we stayed. The concierge DANIEL, scammed us on a luau. We paid $800 for a luau, that was supposed to be on the beach and family friendly. It was neither of those things, could not even see the beach or the sunset, it was on the third floor of the Marriott, which had scaffolding covering any sort of view. The show was slow, and boring but great performances. The beds in the hotel were soft, only up side to this stay. Spend the extra money, stay somewhere else. This was not our ideal vacation or stay, Waikiki has really changed.

The WHOLE staff is amazing it don’t matter the department, the same lady clean our room everyday and she was the best. Overall awesome Hotel and the most PERFECT staff.

They gave us a room that four people cannot even move around in we’ve barely enough room between beds and walls. We had to upgrade a room costing a step much more money which we shouldn’t have had to do the room, they moved us to was bigger and more comfortable that way, but the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in my life and the pillows were terrible. It was a rotten stay the staff was OK, but the accommodations were for the pits.
