Really enjoyed our stay, excellent shower, and the bed was super comfortable. Wish there was a coffee pot in the room but that’s my only complaint.

We had a short stay as we are driving through. But this hotel is wonderful. The only down fall, but not really because we were hot, was the sheets and blankets were a bit damp. By the morning it was not noticeable at all. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at 3pm which was check in time.
Was told there is no rooms and then just looked at. We asked was they still being cleaned or are they doubled booked.
She said I guess being cleaned and walked away.
When she returned 2 other groups arrived to check in.
She said housekeeping is finishing up please wait and started talking to the people who came in after us. Telling them they have no rooms.
After 15 min of waiting another couple arrives and checks in and is given room keys and sent on their way.
I asked why did they get a room. When you have 3 couples waiting for there reservation? She said i have your room Ready.
The lobby smelt like wet dog and over perfume room spray.
We could bare hear the lady at the desk talking. And when she spoke up you could understand her.
When we find the elevator (with no help from her )we get on and start going to the 3rd floor and it sounds like the elevator is breaking and gonna fall at anytime.
We get off and are heading to are room when can smell the perfume room spray very strong and both of us start coughing.
We get in our room and can here the TV from the rooms on both sides of us and some loud music.
We didnt get much sleep do to loud music and people talking in the hall way.
When we went to leave we noticed the coffee bar and stop to get some and both burned ourselves from the hot cups.

I have no complaints about this hotel. Outside of the cleanliness, and location right next door to a Cracker Barrel, the 24/7 freshly brewed coffee is an awesome amenity! It’s a coffee maker that grinds the beans and brews the coffee right there. Very pleasant experience ask the way around.

Quiet hotel off of 20. Kept very clean, satisfied with our room and amenities considering the price. Felt safe and comfortable during our short stay. If we need a hotel in Longview again we’ll definitely be coming back!

Cost effective, quick access to freeway and eateries nearby. Good decision to choose this one over some other well known chains. I will be staying again next week. My air was not working well and the front desk clerk brought me up another key at 10:30 pm to move me across the hall where the air was working and I was able to get some sleep.

The hallway to our room and our room spelled like stinky animals. Our air was not on and ready for our arrival, so it was warm which made the stench even worst. At breakfast, they ran out of food and the bacon was burnt and chopped into pieces so you has to attempt to eat it with a spoon. I had to search for a staff member to help replenish the food.

Room was great, very roomy and clean and bed was very comfortable, everything was wonderful except for the fact that no one mentioned that there was a non-refundable pet fee, even seeing us with our pets never said anything until our stay was done and the next day there was 2-$100 extra charges that came out our account, so we thought we paid $240 for 2 nights and we really paid $440 for the 2 night stay. That should be a detail that should be mentioned at check in, instead the charge doesn’t appear until a day after you check out

Room was mostly clean, but floors are getting threadbare with holes in them. The bed was firm but comfortable.

Breakfast was good - you could make breakfast tacos from the eggs and tortillas and turkey sausage. Costa Coffee machines in the dining area.

Parking was plentiful and well-lit. We felt safe right off I-20. It's not immediately apparent how to get into the parking lot, but it is past the Cracker Barrel parking lot entrance (there is no path from the restaurant to the hotel parking lot).

Overall the stay was great especially for the price paid. There was a musty smell in the hallways and the elevator made awful noises, though there was a note they were about to perform elevator maintenance. I also wished there were more breakfast options. No regular sausage, only turkey sausage and my kiddos were disappointed there weren't any waffles :)

Our stay at Garner Hotel was wonderful. The room was clean, tub was definitely white and clean. I absolutely loved the flowers made from toilet paper, it was a beautiful gesture. The location is wonderful and easy to find. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Icy side entry that they had plenty of time before hand to prepare for and plenty after the storm to handle.... was very dangeorus. Staff never mentioned it when checking in. Tape should have been put up at minimum to protect guests from serious falls. Also no coffee pot in the room (biggest factor in my not booking again... i dislike having to roll out of bed and either go to common area half asleep in pajamas or having to get dressed before coffee... otherwise great place

We had always stayed at a nearby hotel and thought we would give Garner Hotel a try. The property is nice and in a good location. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was good and had good options.

Very nice room. Love the sitting space that is separated from the bed, there are 2 TVs for use. If there is a curtain between the sitting area and the sleeping bed, it would create some barrier for anyone wants to sleep while the other still want to watch TV, etc.

Room seemed clean, except we did find 3 ladybugs. One on the lamp and two on the ceiling. Bed was comfortable, but it did squeak with every movement.
I looked forward to a waffle for breakfast. This hotel does not have waffles. The eggs and sausage was good though. There is no coffee in the rooms.

Very strong smell of marijuana on floor ( the hotel did apologize on a paper). The bathroom sink faucet was so loose you nearly could not use and the toilet seat would not tighten. Other than that good room and location for a 1 night stop

Everything was good at the hotel and would stay there again. The staff was super nice and congenial at check-in (Stuart). And there was a very sweet housekeeper on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was much better compared to previous years staying there. the cage free eggs on Saturday and Sunday and the turkey sausage on Sunday were really tasty.

Breakfast was good. Bed comfortable. Tv channel choices...meh. i asked for no service in my room, yet there were muddy footprints in the bathrrom when i returned. So someone went in my room. I dont believe the hotel has been there very long but you can see dirty carpet and wear and tear. Not too bad. There is a lot of construction and oilfield clientele so It was a little dirty. Overall not too bad. Really wish they had stayed out of my room as requested. Dont leave anything valuable in the room.

We stayed here today because we had stayed three days prior and had a wonderful experience.
This time was different for two reasons.

1) We stayed in the second floor and from getting off the elevator, it smelled like dirty diapers. Our room smelled fine thankfully. In the morning when I got up, housekeeping had the floor smelling very clean.

2) The toilet would not flush completely without repeated tries.

These minor inconveniences do not dissuade us.
24 Hour coffee makes us very happy! We will definitely stay here again.

Walked in and smelled like mold, pool was closed even though it’s not stated online. Elevator broken so it would take you up to the 3rd floor but the elevator buttons were completely gone on the 3rd floor so you had to take the stairs to get down, spider in my bed when I went to get in elevator inspection is also out of date.

Needed an ADA room. Beautiful, clean, appealing ... However no blow dryer, toilet wayyyyyyy to low for ADA, should be a 17-19\" high, no shower handbars, no anti- slip on tub floor. Dangerous to easily slip. One member of our party fell in the tub due to it being so slippery. Room was humid unless you leave the A/C in the 60's. Clothes & bedding felt damp. Coffee you can hang a stick with it. Way too strong. Sorry but service was decent location was great but hotel rating sucked. No clock, TV has limited channels that you have to guess what they are. No tv guide to help. Room was so humid couldn't wait to leave.

On the first full day of our stay, our beds and room was cleaned. On the second day, I left a tip for the housekeeper. When we returned from our outing, we discovered that our room had not een serviced. Also, we had to request additional towels. There were three of us staying in the room and we only received towels for two guest. However the over all stay was good. I recommend that when reservations are made for three or more persons for a room, that housekeep leave towels for the number of guest staying in the room.

The property was okay. Lots of standing around in the parking lot. The room was fine however the guests in room next to us played loud music that vibrated the walls. Called down at 10 and asked to turn down which they did. They started it back up at midnight. Called again after about 20 min. Then at 2:15 fired it back up again. Waited 30 min and called again. Was told they had same right as me because they paid for their room also but they would ask them to turn it down. Will not stay again.

The hotel itself seemed new but it’s not. It used to be a Best Western and it’s been refurbished. Prior to staying I read the reviews about the noise from the highway and figured people were being picky. Well, they were not! I’m not sure why the noise was so loud and profound but it was. It made sleeping a challenge. The staff were so nice that I’m sure if I’d asked for a room that was further away from the hotel they would have gladly accommodated me. I didn’t bother since I was only there shortly. The ironing board was horribly rusted and we had a very hard time putting it down after using it. The television remote had a mind of its own because all it took was a slight bump and it turned the tv completely off. If we picked it up to change the channel it would shut off the minute we touched it. Weird. Outside of these issues we appreciated the hotel cleanliness and although I didn’t indulge they do provide fresh baked cookies at no charge.

It’s a nice area, the hotel is a little old and needs to be updated. I’ve been staying here for a month switching rooms. Some had broken toilets, sinks. Some rooms smelled and were humid and had bugs. Service at the front desk was good. Cleaning service was loud and noisy slamming doors.

Great sport for the price. If you're disabled have bad knees be aware that if you're placed on the third floor, the elevator doesn't work up there unless you call the front desk.
Other than that everything is very good for the price.

My First Choice

Always a great place to stay in my opinion. Convenience, Comfortable, and the staff is always nice. Breakfast every morning is a excellent bonus. When we come in town this has always been our first choice. The new ownership definitely added some updates and another reason to keep coming back.
