Our stay was horrible. Stayed to use hot tub but it was not working and the bottom was green. When we asked manager we were told it was being turned into kiddie pool. Indoor pool had bugs and cricket in water. There was no smell of chlorine. Did not feel safe. Looked like room door had been kicked open . Will not stay here again. Very disappointing.

Clean room. Though the timer to turn on the jetted tub was being supplemented by a pair of pliers as the replacement part was on order.
The exercise equipment (elliptical and bike) were rusted and nearly non functional but the free weights had a good selection and were in good condition.
Attempted to use the pool once during the four day, three night stay. It was dead bolted locked during hours of operation with no signage as to why.
Breakfast was hot. Nothing to rave about but if your goal is inclusive so you don’t need to make an extra stop in the morning this fits the bill.
I appreciate that the designated smoking section was not outside the front door.
No fees for parking. Reasonable and well maintained parking lot.

The positive. Breakfast was really good. The front desk was polite. The entry was nice. Now for the bad. The room was not good at all. The floor looked like it has a major leak it was hummped up all over bathroom with mold showing underneath. Hole in bathroom door. Toilet wouldnt shut off unless wiggle the handle. Wall damage in bathroom. Beds were hard. Pillows were so soft almost nonexistent when laying on them almost like not enough stuffing in them. Its too bad. If theybwould have updated thier room i would have given a much better review.

Reserved 2 Rooms , I paid for , 1 king room and 1 double queen room. I recvd 2 king rooms. Not the dbl queen room I reserved and paid for. 1 queen room the receptionist have a visitor a key and he tried to enter my room, he tried to open the room door with a lot of force it was really loud! Thank God I had put the extra inside top lock on for the night! The receptionist apologized said it was her fault, also the room had ROACHES!! My God ! Roaches .Nasty roaches, I will Never ever stay here again Never. DONT STAY HERE!!

Listen. I am a budget person & I have stayed in some pretty sketchy places to save money but holy crap. This place was not super cheap & awful. The beds & pillows were so lumpy like they were old as dirt. Three pillows. All different ones. Breakfast was gross. Waffle mix even tasted funky. Then the whole reason we booked here was for the pool & thy inform us when we go to swim “oh it’s not heated and hot tub doesn’t work” …. Then why do you advertise an indoor pool if it’s literally freaking like a cold plunge?! Lame. As. Heck.

The parking lot was convenient and access was easy and safe for unloading a car full of kids and pets. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.

Only issues was the Direct TV was acting up, and the laundry machines are old and don’t work the best.

Hotel looks nice from the outside. Our room had ladybugs all over the restroom. Weird type of insect to have but it was infested. Lucy they were inky in the restroom and not the rest of the room. Pool is indoor but not warm so at this weather it was extremely cold. The sofa bed looked like it was not cleaned prior to our stay. The sheets had stains and hair all over. Lady in the front gave me new sheets but didn’t seem to be surprised about the dirty room. Didn't try the breakfast.

Clean, comfortable bed. Worn out, cracked, split and curling manufacture plank flooring that was rough on the feet. Truly the thinest TP I had ever encountered. You literally could see through it. No washcloths (weird). I requested a room away from the elevator and they put me next to the elevator. The hotel was not busy. I arrived late and did not want to go change rooms. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. The eggs were disgusting, over cooked, dry, chewy flat disks (I threw them away). No salt and pepper (weird) and no ketchup or hot sauce to help the eggs along. There was only 1 yogurt in the cooler, tons of bread, so little protein. I picked this hotel because of the breakfast included. I was wildly disappointed.

Where do I start? The facility is severely outdated. There is an overall musty smell to the hotel and the room we were in was worse. The smell permeated all of our clothes, so that when we finally got home, we had to let our clothes air before we cleaned them. The room had 2 different table lights, holes in the wall had been poorly patched and painted, the tile in the bathroom had moldy grout, the sink did not have a drain stopper, and the bathroom lacked any bath or sink soap. The coffee machine needed to be cleaned, there was no sugar or creamer for the coffee in the room, and the bed pillows were hard in the corners because the feathers or foam had become wet and were now congealed together. As for the breakfast, there were some reheated sausage patties, some reheated egg patties, some dry biscuits, and a little crockpot with some watery gravy that I was afraid to touch. There was no fruit, one yogurt in the fridge, and some dry cereal and small corn muffins. It is better (and safer) to get breakfast someplace else. There are not too many options in Longview, but I hate to think this is the best in town.

The room was pretty clean, but it was hard to get towels after asking three times and having to go to front desk. I was told after 8 pm last night that there were still no towels avaliable. I explained that i hadnt had towels since i was there the two nights prior under my husband's Wyndham account. There were roaches in our room, my husband killed one Monday morning, and then we seen another one last night that he killed. We reported it, so hopefully they'll get an exterminator for future customers. I'll never stay at that location again, and I was there several months ago.

I spent one night there on my way to work. It wasn't too bad. I had lost my bank card and only had Apple Pay on my phone. They do not accept Apple Pay, which was really stressful. It took the desk clock almost an hour to help me. asking me the same questions over and over; that was too much for me. I had driven 5 hours to get here and was exhausted, just needed a room to sleep, but at last, I was able to figure it out.

Disappointing Stay at La Quinta by Wyndham I-20 Longview South

I recently stayed at this hotel in Longview, TX, and unfortunately, the experience was not great. Upon entering the room, there was an unpleasant odor that didn’t go away. Our reservation was for three people, but no extra blankets were provided for the sofa bed. When I requested some, both blankets given to us had hair all over them.

The breakfast was underwhelming. The potatoes were undercooked, the eggs had an artificial taste (likely powdered), and there were no meat options at all. Definitely not what I’d expect from a hotel breakfast.

Security was also a concern. The front doors are locked at night, and guests are required to use side entrances, which didn’t feel safe, especially in the dark.

On a positive note, the daytime front desk female staff member was friendly and helpful. However, the overnight receptionist was not as welcoming.

While the location is convenient right off the freeway, overall, the stay did not meet expectations.

I asked for management to contact me since they were not there but they never called me.

Friendly staff. Easy parking for my trailer. But there were some negatives, usually not expected of a Wyndam property. The king size bed (Room 207) was horrible, like sleeping on a giant mushroom. Roach in the bathroom at 1:30 AM, guess it was also taking a bathroom break. The breakfast was just an excuse for one, no cream cheese for the bagles, very limited choice. Sent me to the nearby McDonald's. If I'd been in a third world country, these things would have been ignored. All that said, I did not suffer but they should do better. .

Check in was easy, staff have always been helpful and friendly. This is my 3td time staying at this hotel this year. I have come back because of the above reasons.
The only complaint I have is that although there is a pool and hot tub, they are still closed for use by health department of Longview for past several months, and hotel seems uninterested in fixing the problem with it.

The hotel is mostly well maintained. This is my 2nd stay at this hotel this year. I liked the convenient location to Longview area. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that once again they still had their swimming pool unavailable for guest use. It still had a sign saying that the pool was closed by the health department of Longview on the door, more than a month later from my last visit. So obviously no effort was mafe to fix the pool's problems.
Staff have always been courteous and efficient at this hotel.

Only got the hotel to swim with my kids. Just to go to the pool and a sign pinned up saying it was closed by the health department. I explained that all we wanted to do was swim and see if I could cancel and get a refund and was denied. Manager said it was posted on the page that it was not up and running but that was a lie and they refuse to give me my money back

During our one night stay we were greeting by a strong order in the room. We never could figure out what it was. The room while clean was dated. One of the light bulbs in the restroom was out, and the there was a gap in the handle in the shower. The bed was comfortable and the hotel staff were nice but we were left disappointed.

Biggest disappointment was the pool was shutdown and had been for weeks before. This was a deciding reason for choosing this location over other La Quinta's in the area. The place was dingy inside, no friendly greeting at check in. Got our room key, headed to our assigned room slight mildew odor in hall, when we opened our door very strong odor of what can only be described as dirty mop water or mildew hit us. We thought maybe if we got air going it would dissipate, the air would barely blow. We went to lobby ask for a different room and advised of issue. We’re moved to a room on first floor it was cleaner did not smell but instead of getting a king we were given a double queen. Breakfast was not a good. Very sub par even for a free breakfast. Over priced for what we got. Next night we checked into the True by Hilton, cheaper rate, super clean, nice room and excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. That is where we will stay for all future visits to that area. We will not ever return to that La Quinta. !

In Longview, this is your best bet.

While this seemed like a little older of a hotel, the room was clean and the beds comfortable. The area felt safe and clean. The room had a moldy smell to it but typical of older hotels. The pool was closed, which was a bummer because it was one of the filters we put when searching for a hotel. It was quiet overnight which was really nice. Overall it was a good stay. The breakfast was just okay. The town was run down so this was a nice surprise.

Only complaints are that their pool/hot tub were unavailable for our entire stay of 4 days. Upon arrival, staff told us that they were just adjusting chemicals for the pool, but later the closure sign on the pool area said it was closed by the Longview Environmental Health Dept. So this was definitely a disappointment. The other problem, was that on Monday of our departure, the staff took away the breakfast before 10am (the end of breakfast service) by at least 10 minutes, so we didn't get any breakfast.
