Very clean and tidy motel. It definitely needs a bit of maintenance. We stayed in a family room which sleeps 4 people but there was only cutlery for 3 people. The carpark for each unit wasn’t clearly signed and we believe that confused a lot of people.

The room was dirty and still had previous tenants razor on the bathroom shelf, yuk. The shower had something on the floor, unknown, so I used the bath mat to stand on. There was no tv remote so I had to call reception. Light didn’t work and the fitting was broken. There was a male outside the bathroom window talking on his mobile and I didn’t want to shower while he was there. I didn’t feel safe there.

We stayed here, over the Christmas Period, trusting Wotif's reviews. Biggest mistake I have ever made. I wouldn't allow my dog to live in this filth

There is no daily service, despite being in over a week
No Fire Alarms
Bathroom, I've used cleaner public bathrooms
kids bikes and rubbish piled up outside of rooms, generally looked worse then the neighbours properties
Found stuff in the bed on arrival
Gunky in the Kitchen Sink
Weird brown Staining throughout
Ceiling Fans covered in so much filth, held together with tape
One Air Conditioner not working in the family room
Nobs for the fans removed
Have seen prisons with more pictures on the wall.
One Dining Seat not fit for sitting on due to weird stains
Was not willing to leave possessions in the room, we "moved out" every morning
Cook top cracked and chipped
Reception was friendly enough, however the rooms need to have a serious renovation and cleaners sacked

We chose this hotel as it was pet friendly as we were travelling with our cat Raven. Room was small but cosy. Floor felt a little slippery especially when you got out of the shower. There was no wifi in the room that we stayed in, but that was OK. The staff text me to let me know where the key for the room would be and when checking out, we just had to drop it back in the key return box. Simple and easy! Would definitely stay there again!

Not like the pictures unfortunately, it’s a run down motel and overpriced.. aircon didn’t work. It’s anlso an unsafe area and no secure parking.. people drinking and walking around at 10pm when we walked our dogs and 4am.. assuming they’re about all night.

Firstly the on site manager was amazing. Her customer service was exceptional and her demeanour.

The motel itself is terrible. The pool is green and mouldy. It seems people live there. My neighbours were swearing and arguing.

My first room was like something out of a horror movie. There was no aircon. Extension cords running all over the place. No cover on the ironing board. And so forth.

I was given a different room because of the air conditioning not working.

The next room was better but still very trashy. The curtains didn’t hang up properly and offer any privacy as all the hooks were broken.
The kitchen blind had layers of dust and food on it.

The pool was unusable. And there were no wifi even though I believe ( I could be wrong) it was advertised.

It seems people from very low socioeconomic status reside there permanently and their were children crying and couples arguing and swearing.

Expedia I believe that you need to verify these properties more thoroughly. This is my second time booking through Expedia and both times I have not been impressed. But this time was dreadful in relation to amenities and the environment.

Again the on-site management was absolutely spectacular and her problem solving skills and hospitality was impeccable. The property itself though I’m sorry it’s just trash

I really enjoyed my stay. I needed somewhere to stay overnight on my journey from Cairns to Brisbane where I could have a relaxing evening, hot shower and comfortable sleep and I so appreciated being able to have my little dog with me. South Gladstone Motel ticked all the boxes for me.

Nice enough owners, but room was dirty,( toilet/bathroom dirty, holes from rot, toilet cistern was hanging off the wall, around toilet hasn’t been cleaned in awhile.
Kitchen poor lighting as 1 out of 3 lights worked. Bed had a doona but no cover on it, it was old and holes.
Only 1 of the air cons worked.
Cocky poo in the utensil draw. Not enough utensils for a family.
Poor lighting in main room, 2 light above bed didn’t work. Dirt under bed as hasn’t been clean in awhile. They need to update photos on website as it’s deceiving.

Well what did i Like,i can honest say i was touch from the moment i arrived i have not been well for a while Battling Serious Illness the Loverly Couple here made me feel l like i stll was someone and they were taking care of there Dad.
Although this is a Beautiful place you can see it has much Potential and im sure they will do Amazing Stuff and i also had the best Sleep that ive had for i dont know how long,ive just stayed at a Flash well know Resort on the Gold Coast and i slept here Better so i would Highly recommend a stay here As I will be back even though I only live less than a 100 k's As I will be back even though I only live less than a 100 k's away,

Upon arrival of our 4 night stay with my 3 children , our accommodation dates were incorrect , I had already payed the full amount 4 weeks prior to this. First night other guests had a party which was very loud, swearing was heard, we all had no.slerp, my kids didnt feel safe to stay. Tv in bedroom didnt wirk took 1 day to get it fixed, wifi password didnt work on first day.

The room was a good size cabin, the lady was friendly on arrival.
In the cabin though we found a bag full of takeaway food, shoved in microwave, first sign the cabin wasn’t cleaned properly.
The bathrooms weren’t clean, there was only a 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper for 5 people. The information book was so sticky.
Beds were very hard and no spare pillows of blankets.

The motel had no record and no room for us at the motel. They had to send us to a sister motel 5 minutes away. Disappointing. The second place what not nice . They gave us a blanket that smelt like dogs. Was going to go somewhere else nicer but we had already paid and would be a pain to try to get our money back. So thanks for the stuff up wotif. !!!!!

I was told at booking there was under cover parking. It was shade cloth. Carpet in room was old and stained. There was no manager on site when a violent fight broke out outside of my room. I had to ring 000. It appears that these are being let out as long term accommodation. It is not a tourist stop. The manager did reimburse me for my room because of the incident.

I had this booking booked for 6 weeks.
I arrived at the hotel.
The manager/receptionist was intoxicated.
They then couldn’t find a room for my booking. I was expected to stay in two motel style rooms with two little kids across both rooms. No communication was done prior to this date to advise there was no room which was apparently known the morning of the booking. No compensation on extra motel fees, taxi fares was given offered. If you would like a manager/receptionist with no accountability, and a very terrible experience that cost us double our trip stay here if you would like an amazing room and lovely place to stay choose central gladstone plaza.
