Have stayed there twice before but this time the room was situated in a very bad block of the hotel. No sun no view massive tree in front of the window. Could not change as it was full so they said. We requested the area we would have like to stay they said they never received it !! Really twice!
Very disappointed considering we were there twice before.

Reception staff failed me totally. They pretended to say problem with the rear exit door making a BANGING NOISE when closing. My room 9016 was next to said door/ gate. Constantly BANGING from early morning until late evening. I asked on FOUR occasions for someone to fix the door but nothing happened. Reception staff displayed a total lack of communication with me and failed in their duties to a guest. After my eleven day stay I had no apologies, no offer of a replacement room or any kind of compensation. Ruined my stay at this lovely hotel. Not impressed.

Room was spotless, thoroughly enjoyed my stay, facilities were amazing.

Only issues I had was 1) cleaning staff were extremely loud on a morning and 2) hospitality staff didn't setup our table for my special birthday as requested by my dad.

They did however setup the day after and provide witha free bottle of bubbly.

This hotel is a dream. It has everything you can wish for located in a paradise resort. The botanical garden is in itself a marvel surrounding the various swimming pools. There is a gym, bowling alley, diving club, tennis, billiard, hiking on the hill at the back of the hotel with exceptional views. The breakfast buffet is diverse, fresh and even has a gluten free/vegan option with various smoothies. It is close to the beach where you can snorkel among coloured fish in the beautiful Puerto de Mogan. There is entertainment in the evening and various restaurants in the hotel itself. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with courtyards that have waterfalls, beautiful trees & flowers. The staff are very friendly and professional and you even have free indoor parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family as the best hotel on the island.

Beautiful hotel, photos don't do it justice. There are over 450 species of plants, there is so much to look at. Every day you find a new beautiful plant that you hadn't seen previously. Rooms are super spacious, cleaning was fabulous. Breakfast had loads of choice. Animation team were great and really looked after the kids and made the adults feel involved too. Personally I wish there was more on for adults, more activities and the evening entertainment ended quite early. I would recommend going during their fiesta del Carmen last week of July and first week of August - you get to experience the local culture. Tourist tended to be more Spanish than English which I hadn't experienced before at other canary island hotels. Bowling is fantastic too, make use of it. A shame the spa isn't included as part of the price

Great location - just a short walk to restaurants, beach & harbour.
Hotel generally well kept, good size rooms, with balcony (we were in a pool view) It’s large property amongst tropical gardens - you could almost get lost walking around!
Plenty of facilities, more than we would need. Breakfast was very good, the choice was vast and fresh. (We did have dinner there so can’t comment)
The staff are friendly and helpful.

Hotel staff and cleaners were very friendly. Hotel was very clean apart from cat poo smell by the lifts which is not their fault as they look after the stray cats there.

Hotel room was so lovely with balcony with green grass and facing the pool, I felt very lucky to have the room although I paid for the cheapest with Expedia Vitality discount. I enjoy sitting on the balcony reading as I like my space, felt perfect.

My only dislike, and pet hate are buffets where people are fighting for the food. I went to the buffet helping my 80 year old mother that can not walk well or see well. People were pushing. I hated going to dinner and found myself regretting going half board. The restaurants by the beach are only 10 min walk with fresh fish and drinks and wonderful service. The hotel needs to do something about the buffet, one reason I would not go to that hotel again. But I would consider Cordial self catering apartments.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable! I loved that the hotel provided wash cloths as well as towels. The hotel also provided shampoo and conditioner. My experience in Spain was that shampoo was usually provided, but sometimes conditioner was not.

I did not like the highway traffic noise, but I got used to it. I had no problem sleeping once I considered it white noise.

Good hotel.

Stayed over the half term holiday. The main problem with the hotel is that it clearly struggles when it's full and the sun is out. The two swimming pools were saturated with people, sun beds parked very closely together and generally all occupied (or towelled) by 10.30am. Breakfast was a bit of a struggle with queues but settled down after 9.45am. We had minor gripes with the actual sun beds, which are plastic and difficult to adjust - I'd imagine they will upgrade these at some point. Also the mattress overlays were very grubby. Bar service was extremely hit and miss - some days it worked well, other days it would be exceptionally slow. Drinks are reasonably priced - around 4.50 euros for 400ml Tropicale beer.

Happy in Hotel Cordial Mogan Playa.

Overall our stay was very good. The breakfasts were excellent- a wonderful selection of good quality food. We did not have evening meal. Everywhere was very clean and the gardens full of exotic plants.
The rooms were spacious, but were dated and ready for redecoration. The bed linen was good, but the towels were well past their best.
We were surprised by the fact that we had to pay for a safety deposit box, something not encountered before - another niggle!
The pro exceeded the cons and we would return.

Just spent a fantastic 5 days here in Sept 2024. The hotel really is fantastic. The spa (and treatments) is excellent. The two main pools are really big and the pool exercise and fashion shows were really good. The small shops in the hotel were great too. Food/restaurants were brilliant. I really can't recommend the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa highly enough!

We have just returned from an 8-night stay at this hotel and it was absolutely amazing. We arrived late in the evening, just 15 min before the restaurant was about to close. The lady at the reception (Rachel) was very polite, professional and helpful. She informed us that we could still go and have our dinner in the restaurant which was very much appreciated after a whole day travelling. I asked in advance for a quiet room on a high floor and we were given an amazing room in block 4 on the 4th floor. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, quiet and with a beautiful view of the adults pool. The ladies cleaning the rooms did a fantastic job and they were always polite and with a smile on their faces. The reception area and the hotel grounds including the pool area were impressive and beautifully surrounded by palm trees and other plants. We booked half board and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of food we had at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is conveniently located within 10 min walk from the beautiful marina and the beach. Overall, this is a luxurious hotel which felt more like a 5-star. All hotel facilities and the customer service were exceptional.

Wonderful hotel that has everything you require for a relaxing holiday, all areas of the hotel was relaxing very easy to get a sun bed round the pool. Breakfast was substantial and I would say had something for everyone to suit all tastes. Room was large with plenty of room to move around, I guess the bathroom area could have benefitted from some TLC here and there but overall you won’t be disappointed with this hotel, we would certainly stay again.

This hotel is in a great location and everything about it is as you would hope for a Spanish 4 star.
Clean, other guests pleasant, great gardens, polite and helpful staff.
The buffet food is excellent. The chefs were always happy to cook steaks/tuna/swordfish/lamb to order on the grill while you watch so it’s cooked to suit your personal preference.
The weather was perfect every day and the sea temperature ideal. We didn’t stay by the pool during the day, preferring the local beach or a ferry trip to the next bay.
We always swam at about 6 30pm and loved the still very warm evening sun.
The room was not state of the art but well maintained and beds comfortable.
It’s a great 4 star hotel

10 out of 10 for everything. Beautiful surroundings with beautiful well maintained gardens. Amazing breakfasts, the variety was outstanding. Large bedroom and bathroom and we had a balcony. Swimming pool was excellent. Walkable distance to the beach and different restaurants as we went b&b. I did have trouble with a socket in the bedroom and needed some more milk, so I asked about it in reception and before I got back to the room the electrician and the maid were waiting at the door for me! The whole place was clean and staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely going there again .

Solo trip having stayed at the hotel many times pre covid. Fantastic hotel in a great location. Fabulous pools and the whole space is perfect for a holiday. My interaction with all staff was very good. So why not 5 stars.Fridge in room was useless, notbroken but told by staff not designed to make anything cold. I assume to increase drink sales via the hotel. But not to have a working fridge is bonkers.Rooms are now dated so if you want modern I would suggest the radison nearby. My biggest comment though is in relation to customer behaviour. This hotel always provided an upmarket experience but they seem to be now attracting a different audience. Drinking and music by the pool. Certain familiesallowed to dominate the pool environment. Customers wearing vests for dinner. It just wasnt what i had remembered and it did affect my enjoyment of the hotel.

Wonderful week at Cordial, the pools are lovely and the planting all around the resort is amazing and the gardeners keep it perfect. The ground staff and cleaners to a great job and our suite, Although some may say was a bit old fashioned and tired, was extremely clean and comfortable. Whilst the resort is bigger than I’d normally choose, we grew into it after the first day and felt like home. Mogan is a great Centre especially if like us it’s your 1st trip abroad since before COVID and you just want to chill. Very good restaurants close by too.

Lovely property. Despite holding over 1,000 people it's well spread out so never seems crowded. 2 huge pools, 1 for adults only. All the staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. The Junior Suites are in a quieter part of the resort and are worth the upgrade. Less than 5 minutes stroll into town, which has dozens of bars and restaurants. We went in March, I would imagine but would be less peaceful in the summer holidays!

Great location for Mogan port

We had a lovely room overlooking the pool. All comforts needed were in the room. Only downer was the room safe was not free, which one would expect it to be in a four star hotel. Also on the Sunday morning there was a very long queue to get into the breakfast room, but we went to reception to complain and they directed us to another restaurant which was absolutely fine.

Everything was nice. The rooms were clean and pleasant but a bit old fashioned. Pool area was perfect.
My only issue was the restaurant. The evening meal was reasonable but often the cooking was under seasoned and bland. The cooks at the fresh stations were nice but they tended to overcook the produce. Steaks, prawns, fish were all cooked too much.

An impressive hotel. Good rooms, good facilities, two heated outdoor pools (heating is a must in winter), good selection of food at buffet breakfast. We tried dinner once - OK but not exciting. Five mins walk from harbour. Friendly, efficient staff. It's pricey, but probably worth it. But it is huge and it feels a bit like an up-market holiday camp. We had great weather and apparently this valley is known for good winter sun. But I'd prefer somewhere smaller and more intimate next time.

Did not like the meal time dinner in 2 sittings and the hassle about where you sat and then allocating you a table. We like to eat about 7.30 and it was not possible also the food at dinner unless you liked endless red meat was poor . We did not enjoy it at all. Often there was only the end bits when we went in and staff were reluctant to get us more.
The pillows were hard and although 3 ones they brought a soft one it was just the same pillow.
The acoustic version as noisy do we heard children next door running up and down and shouting in the morning and constant noise from above us. We visited 4 different hotels all 4 stars on our trip to Gran Canaria and this was the least value for money

Overall a nice hotel for a few days stay at Puerto Mogan. Just a short stroll to the older and newer part of the port.
The hotel is a lot larger than you initially think which is manifested at breakfast. If like most people you arrive between 8.45 and 9.45 it feels a little hectic although the buffet tables are well spread out. Best to arrive early if you can. Staff are generally very pleasant and helpful and as big as the hotel is, apart from breakfast, it does not feel it as there are a lot of green spaces dividing the different room blocks.

It’s a great hotel, especially good for families I would imagine..
Overwhelmingly huge.. it was quiet to start with & as it got busier towards the end of the week there was just too many people, it showed in how the staff were too.

The Hotel Has character attention to detail, the architecture is beautiful, grounds exquisite
Food excellent even for the picky eater, some thing for everyone
The entertainment did let it down could be improved, the area is quite but a stroll to marina & shopping area only 10 minutes walk away

As a returning guest, I feel the animation team put on some excellent shows. Looking forward to returning very soon. The hotel is extremely well run, staff are always superb, good to see some familiar faces. The grounds are immaculate, a beautiful setting, amazing hotel set in one of the best resorts on the island. Well done to all the team for making our holiday such a beautiful, relaxing experience yet again.
