Five stars without hesitation. This beachfront hotel was the perfect place to experience everything that makes Zipolite special.
The location is incredible. You step out and you are right on the beach with sweeping ocean views and some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable. Even just walking through the small streets nearby feels magical, with colorful murals, flowers everywhere, and the relaxed energy that Zipolite is known for.
The atmosphere at the hotel is peaceful, welcoming, and perfectly in tune with the town. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to the ocean breeze each morning was unforgettable. It felt like a true escape.
The staff were fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived and were always happy to help with anything we needed.

The location and beach were absolutely beautiful — Zipolite itself is stunning. Unfortunately, our stay at The Naked Hotel was extremely disappointing and far from the premium experience the prices suggest.
During our stay, we encountered multiple serious issues: loud music from the beach party pounded through our room until 9:00 p.m. each night; a construction mishap caused our room to flood when workers cut a water line, and instead of relocating us, the staff simply shut off the water — leaving our room and several others without hot water. Later in the week, another burst pipe flooded the restaurant.
To make matters worse, a cockroach fell on my partner while he slept, pool towels took an hour and a half to arrive, and maintenance workers were sanding railings above the pool deck, covering guests and drinks in sawdust. Staff responses to all these issues were either apathetic or unhelpful.
While the beachside setting is beautiful, the management and maintenance of this property are seriously lacking. Sadly, this hotel does not live up to its premium pricing or promises.

Admittedly, we were nervous about a \"naked hotel\" and feared it could be a party place. It was not. Most folks were probably 35-40+ and the nudity was limited to occasional nakedness suntanning near the pool or on the beach beds. The beach beds are SUPER comfy and free to reserve all day. The staff was so friendly, the room was very comfortable. There was a DJ outside the rooms by the pool, but they stopped at 10pm on the dot and then it was super quiet for sleeping. And the music didn't start the next day until the afternoon. It's in a great location and we would go back.

However, the hot water was not always working and the towels were not always cleaned well (both beach towels and bathroom towels). Those were my only major issues. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I come back to Zipolite.

Very strict, with the sheets, they threatened to charge us for any stains. However, the towels they provided us were very stained, they actually looked dirty. Twice we saw and smelled the horrible stench from the septic tank being cleaned. The food at the hotel was average. Also, the hotel plays music until 11 pm. every night.

Overall hospitality made our trip to zipolite so special. It started at check in and meeting the staff. Restaurant was very good and location is beautiful. It's a special community but this hotel is a must for anyones first experience.

It was good. Great hotel. Reception was a struggle, because I paid for my stay, and when I tried to check in. They wanted to charge me for the whole stay. I had to call hotel.com customer service, so they can communicate with the hotel reception. Phone service is poor so it was hard to conmect reception with hotel.com.

We loved our stay at the naked so much that we extended by a night. The hotel is perfectly located on beachfront and within 2-3 mins walk of shops, restaurants, bars, massage places etc…
Staff were super helpful in arranging transfers and kept the drinks flowing by the beach and pool loungers. Particularly loved the afternoon DJ set on weekends which makes the naked the Place to Be!

Very nice rooms but they lack cabinet space the upgrade fee was elevated the poolside table service was very good contrary to other places in zipolite and the staff was not as warm as in other places and the lady doing the night shift was not very nice

I totally agree with the many positive reviews about the room, overall facilities, the terrific staff and the excellent food but I put a lower rating for several reasons. The main issue was the noise. Music blasted from mid late morning till late at night and there wasn't a place to escape to. It's a 'party' venue with all that goes with that. As well over the several weeks there I had trouble with the air conditioning and intermittent internet. There are so many positives to this place but the noise is just too much.

At first impression the property is astonishing, but that stops here. The rooms are small and you barely can move around the bed. The bathroom toilet can get logged easily. They don't provide tissue paper and they insist on leaving 1 face and 1 hand towel foe two people. Water from upper floors dripping on our balcony and no closet is provided. So you have to live out of your suite case. Also they insisted on providing 1 key foe the room instead of 2.
There is also sewers smell in few rooms and on the stairs and holeway.
The food in the over price restaurants is below average and their drinks are underwhelming.
As for the staff the service depend on who you talk to. The old lady is not helpful at all so avoid her at all time. For the beach club the service is also sporadic, sometime you are left for hours with no services and others theyvwill be shadowing ypu and make you feel unconformable .
The pool area is nice but it is dark and does not see the sun.

Disappointed after a full 9 nights stay
I was charged a 100 $ equivalent to 2000 pesos for using Vaseline on my skin after beach to clean the sheets. I have never seen a client paying for laundering his sheets in a supposedly called a 5 or even a 4 star hotel. It was also funny to document that stain and show it to me in the reception. Never seen this in my life anywhere in the world.

This was any second time staying here and unfortunately it was disappointing. We were never provided with beach towels. We went several times to ask and each time they kept saying come back in a few hours, this was the same story though out our stay. Food quality in the hotel has also gone down.

This was the second year I have stayed at Naked through Christmas and New Years. The service has gone completely down in the past year, all new staff who are friendly but mostly incompetent at their job. The room’s AC was broken and the front desk staff were mostly rude and obnoxious. The servers are slow, forget orders, would charge incorrect items to my room and were found to double charge complete days of food and beverage service. Check your final bill. The amount of servers did not increase as the hotels occupancy increased and business increased closer to New Years. The staff spends more time rushing you to pay so they themselves can hangout on the property and get wasted. The rude daytime front desk attendant was drunk and asked my friends if she could put her items on our beach daybed while she swam in the ocean with her friends. The unprofessionalism of the staff was next level. I felt like the hotel was being operated by a high school students in a hospitality class. Your final grade is an F. The food was alright and the drinks are inconsistent. Stay at one of the many other options that are within the same price range during the holidays. The service off season seemed to be better.

Naked Zipolite has a great beachfront location, near the Adoquinado where you will find most dining options. The hotel's restaurant has good food, but service is quite slow. The room has a nice balcony and the bed, linens and pillow are super comfortable. There is music playing quite loud from 1pm to 10pm that could be noisy if you'd like to rest during the day. If you come during high season, I recommend you book a day in advance your beach bed since there are just a few available and these get booked quite fast, same as for beach towels since they do not have as many in stock. Mar and Fanny from Front Desk are marvelous and really nice, but other Front Desk agents aren't as attentive.

The person in charge of the outside table said everything was reserved. Which is crazy because everything was actually empty.
They didn’t let us choose where we wanted to sit being very rude, that there was nothing available until we bought a bottle of grey goose.

Definitely best hotel in all of Zipolite hands down.Although there were a couple of things that were totally not acceptable or have never happened to me a hotel, which we do travel a lot.
When checking in I had called we were arriving early they said in order to give me the room earlier it would be $2,010 pesos. Which is ridiculous especially in Zipolite.
We decided to wait and get some drinks by the cabanas/sofas on the deck by the beach.
The person in charge of the outside table said everything was reserved. Which is crazy because everything was actually empty.
They didn’t let us choose where we wanted to sit being very rude, that there was nothing available until we bought a bottle of grey goose.
Really? you have to get a bottle in Zipolite for them to let you choose you table/bed

This is a great resort for both naked (As the name implies) and clothed guests. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is a great beach for swimming or just walking and nudity seems to be acceptable on the entire beach.

The hotel was not busy and there were rooms available. This was very annoying to me. I had to wait until 3:05 pm for my room. I understand that check in is at 3:00 pm but if there are rooms that are ready, other hotels usually allow customers to use the rooms.

Great spot. We were there during the week and the hotel never felt too crowded. Food was good. If you can, get one of the 3 penthouse rooms facing the beach; the room was simply incredible! Would go back.

This hotel is fantastic! The location is right next to Nude Hotel and El Alqimista, so it was fun to visit the neighbors for a change of scenery for food & drinks. It’s walkable to the Main Street where more restaurants and shopping are located. Doggies are abundant and very kind. We stayed in Libélula on the top floor and it was gorgeous. We woke every morning to sunrise and a bath, waves crashing below. Very romantic.

The staff members are remarkable. The property is visually appealing but quality of material is subpar, the plank floor was like walking in an old barn (careful walking barefoot in your room) , faucet fixtures are cheap, door lock didn’t function properly during last visit and there was no hot water. It’s overpriced to cut corner like this. I hope they pay staff well because the beach access, staff and food quality were excellent.

The Hotel is an exciting and interesting environment. The common interior space is focused on a long pool that blends with the Zipolite beach to provide the ultimate nude bathing experience. The staff is quite pleasant, and the housekeeping is top-quality. I will return many times.

This hotel is located on the west side of town. The bar has beach access with plenty of beach furniture like beds, seats, and umbrellas. Food and drinks at the bar are amazing! The staff was among the friendliest I’ve encountered. Rooms are clean and modern.

I’d give this property 5 stars, but the pounding bass in the afternoons was absolutely jarring. Would not recommend. Disappointing for the price.

Great location but very noisy. Loud music all day long. Plumbing needs to be replaced in order to get hot water according to an internal source. But staff tells you it is a temporary issue. I would not recommend this hotel. Not good value for money. Restaurant is overpriced.

The hotel is really cute and worth staying at. It’s in the best area of town. You can tell it is new and it’s well thought. The views from the ocean front rooms are just spectacular.

Awful serivce, expect to wait over an hour and 30 minutes for food and drinks. If you're staying over NYE, expect music to play from 12 till 4 in the morning, and then have a water truck outside your room from 2am to 9am. It's impossible to relax or sleep
